One of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed. I had the penthouse and it was incredible value in a great spot. Highly recommended. Spa was also a nice touch after a day of exploring. Will definitely be back.

The room is nice enough for what is. But the listing said there would be a terrace/balcony there was not. There’s also no window - again the listing images showed a window. I also didn’t like how the male receptionist came in (knocking first of course, but even so it should have been a female. He didn’t say why he came in and this made me a bit uneasy knowing he can come in whenever. When I asked he showed me the rota to check the rooms which is a valid reason but still a women should be doing this considering it’s an all female dorm. It is a bit overpriced for a hostel. None the less it did the job beds were very comfy but a lack of window and just one fan made it so hot in there to sleep comfortably

Best Hostel In Malta

Stayed 3 nights in the Green room, bed 6..

The room had 6 bunks and had an ensuite bathroom. Each bunk had a locker underneath the bottom bunk and required a padlock to secure. The bunks are custom made wooden frames and very solid. Each bunk came with a private light and two universal electrical sockets i.e. you shouldn’t need an adapter. There were two large pillows, a light sheet and a thicker blanket, depending on your preference. The mattress was thick and about medium firmness. A comfortable bed to sleep on. There’s also a balcony, although it does really have a view and is also above the hostel kitchen.

The ensuite bathroom was very spacious with a walk-in shower. Water pressure was good and there was no problem getting hot water. The bathroom was clean when I got there and it seemed to be cleaned everyday I was there.

There’s Wifi available throughout the hotel and works well.

Overall, I had a fantastic stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. There’s a shared kitchen with lots of opportunities to chat with other guests. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots, pans and plenty of fridge space for cooking too. The location is perfect, about a 5 minutes walk to Sliema Waterfront and the Sliema Ferry to Valletta. There’s plenty of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafes around.

Beds can be uncomfortable. Steam room and jacuzzi free after 5pm and really good.

Seemed to be lots of weirdos staying at this place so be careful if you are a single female.

The staff were all lovely, it was just the other guests who were a bunch of oddballs.

Two Pillows Hostel Sliema

A very convenient location for the ferry to Valletta and bus services. Our accommodation (grey room) was very spacious, comfortable and clean. There was a wet room with easy walk in shower, a large comfortable bed and a spacious and private balcony. Air conditioning was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was walking up three flights of stairs but it keeps you fit!

Word of warning though if your looking for that traveller vibe from those that stay in the hostel thats unlikely due to those staying for months on end not really wanting to get to know you.

Great comfort, location and value

This hostel is located within a great location only a couple of minutes from the ferry to Valletta with lots of restaurants and shops around plus a very good bus network to places like St Julian and Paceville.
The hostel feels new, the beds are comfy, has a useful draw next to the beds along with a charger socket and night light.
The bathrooms were clean as was the kitchen which was a good size and seemed to be well equipped.
I did not get to use the spa facilities as they were only available to the hostel for free between 4-7pm.
There is free on street parking in and around the hostel. I was always able to park on the same street however I expect over the summer it would be far harder to find a parking space.
Overall I would highly recommend this place it is great value for money and I would definitely stay here again.

The location is excellent, very close to buses, restaurants, the harbour, and the building and the whole area is just very lovely and picturesque. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and 'boutique-y', as in stylish and aesthetic. It was great to have a bathroom en suite, but I wasn't sure where the other toilets were located, as sometimes there was a line to the bathroom in the morning or evening. Altogether the vibe of the hostel is really nice, with a beautiful kitchen and patio. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, I wish I could've stayed longer and would definitely stay again!

The place was so nice complete with all the amenities. Very convenient to bus and ferry rides and near the beach. The only disadvantage is no elevator for those with heavy luggages like us who came from 12-day trip already. Other than that everything is perfect. Highly recommended formlight travelers!

Friendly staff and happy to share suggestions. Big rooms, nice design, nice kitchen/ common area. There is a free spa to book and an extra bathroom on the lower ground floor if you want to use after your check out. Great location in Sliema, 5 min walk from bus stops and ferries and 15 min walk from swimming locations. There are supermarkets, bakeries and groceries all around.

A nice little treat in little Malta.

The two lovely ladies at check in checked my in promptly and professionally. I looked an absolute wreck for a flight on top of traveling extensively all week. I left my luggage and went for a walk, returned and my bed was ready early. This was wonderful because I was exhausted. The spa downstairs is free to guests I think from 5-7. It has a sauna and a hot tub. None of us could get the sauna to turn on so we all just soaked in the tub. The water could've been warmer but it was still a welcome relief. The facilities were all clean and proper.

The hostel is situated in a quieter part of Malta right next to a lovely bay. It made for a terrific morning stroll and easy access to all sorts of food options etc. I adored the location and Malta in general.

My only two complaints was the room downstairs was extremely damp and warm at night for some reason. We had mentioned this to the lady three times the room was not cooling and nothing changed, so it was a bit stuffy but there was a fan in it. I was also one out of three males staying at the hostel, everyone else was female. Normally I don't care about this but there's only one bathroom that was for the most part in use. In the morning it made for a 30 minute wait for a shower or even to brush my teeth. Luckily the lady opened the spa bathroom up when I informed her my shuttle was on its way.

Overall I'd stay at Two Pillows again. I travel in hostels alot and decided to treat myself and that it was, a nice treat.

If I come to malta, I would stay at this hostel again. This hostel is one of the cleanest hostels I ever stayed in, with modern decoration and furnishing. Very spacious dorm rooms with more than enough space for everyone. Staff were also very friendly and helpful to us backpackers who do not know much about the city. Location is convenient - near the ferry terminals and to shops. it was a great stay and i made some friends

Two Pillows was centrally located in Sliema, the beds/pillows/rooms/storage space was all exactly as pictured online
& had a fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need to cook meals at the hostel, if you were so inclined. All of the staff members were more than happy to help with suggestions of how to get around Malta, what were the \"must see\" attractions & had the best suggestions for where to eat around the hostel. I will definitely stay here again the next time I have a holiday in Malta!

WOW! Totally Impressed!

WOW! This is truly a luxury hostel! Chic botique for sure! From the clean facade of the building and the adorable iconic red Maltese windows, the bay just meters away - I was already in love with the space before I even walked in the door. I walked in and it was so clean, professional, tasteful, and welcoming. I rang the bell and a staff member came and warmly greeted me, checked me in, showed me the common areas and showed me to my space. This place was clean. Of six nights in this property and having knowledge of several other hostels in Malta, this is BY FAR the absolute cleanest and nicest hostel on the island. If you're looking for a party hostel with a bar and nightlife on the premises, this may not be for you. I met GREAT people and we did fun things together - the feeling of community isn't absent just because there is no bar. There is a great patio space and kitchen area, a sitting room with big screen tv, the staff clean every room and bathroom daily. I was surprised to see such a clean facility as this. The beds are so comfortable - everyone does get TWO Pillows. The staff are wonderful, respectful if you're sleeping in - they're quiet and courteous. The sea is a quick walk, busses that take you everywhere, shopping galore. WiFi throughout. Thank You 2 Pillows for a wonderful experience. I made great friends and left very impressed at this well ran establishment. When I return, I'll definitely hope there will be space for me here.

I had a private room which was like a new, spacious, and Ikea furnished one room apartment, complete with a kitchen. There's a nice back patio outdoor area with tables and a couple small indoor common areas, but I didn't experience it to be very social. It has a great location in Sliema close to the main bus stop.

Hotel staff come in whenever they want

I understand they wanted to keep the room clean but every morning from 8 or 9 they started opening your door(there is NO lock) and checked things around or started cleaning. I mean the check out time is 11. Shouldn't you do the cleaning after then? Plus they charge everything in every possible way! Pay by credit card, surcharge! Print something 50 cents per page...

I stayed at Two Pillows Hostel for 5 nights in my week-long journey in Malta. At first I was worrying about my super late arrival at the hostel because my flight arrive in Malta at a ridiculously late time of a day. However I managed to get in the hostel with the aid of the clear instructions given to me by the hostel prior my journey.

Two Pillows located in Valletta's surrounding area of Sliema. It only takes 10 mins decent ferry crossing (plus very nice views of harbour and old city) to go to Valletta. Alternatively there is a 20 mins bus ride which is slightly cheaper. These two services are very frequent. The hostel is about 3 mins walk from the sea, pier and bus stop.

You could enjoy a nice evening walk from Sliema Ferries to St. Julian's, offering great views of the Mediterranean Sea and Roman Baths (swimming pools built on natural rock along the coast).

There are loads of restaurant nearby. From cheap to dear, from quick to enjoying, from kebab and fast food to Maltese and Italians.

Great reception- several tending checkin checkout. All very courteous and polite. All showing interest in our travel experiences and always nice smiles. This is a hostel. It is very busy and very computerized. They stick to the rules and you must understand them. That is why it works.

If you are on a budget or just want to be around other solo travelers , this is a must place. I have chosen it twice now and would come back again!

Perfect location in Sliemma, which is jut a ferry ride away from Valletta. We stayed in both the white room and the blue room, both of which were perfect. The beds are super comfortable and the service was great. One front desk guy didn't seem to know much, but he was working the night shift. The other staff is very patient and well informed.

J’ai été très bien accueilli par le personnel de l’hostel, tout était très propre et très calme, je ne m’y attendais pas !
Les autres vacanciers ont su respecter l’intimité de chacun et le calme.
De plus, le prix est très abordable et un emplacement idéal sur l’île à mon goût !!
En bas de la rue vous pourrez trouver bars/cafés/restaurants/supermarchés mais aussi les stations de bus et le ferry pour se rendre sur les îles!

Ett väldigt trevligt hostel – faktiskt ett av de bästa jag har bott på. Vi bodde i Vanilla Room, som mer liknar ett hotellrum. Rummet var rent och fräscht, med en skön säng och en riktigt bra dusch.

Det finns dock ingen hiss, så för den som har svårt att gå kan det vara lite besvärligt att ta sig upp.

Läget är utmärkt, med närhet till både restauranger och färjeläget.
Överlag ett fantastiskt hostel som jag varmt kan rekommendera!

Ich habe mich hier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Es war meine erste Erfahrung in einem Hostel und ich war positiv überrascht.
Es war insgesamt etwas hellhörig, aber noch auszuhalten.
Die Lage war wirklich perfekt. Man hatte die besten Bus- und Fährverbindungen. In der Nähe waren jede Menge Restaurants und Bars. Die Lage ist wirklich optimal.

Carece de sensibilidade para check-in antecipado

Apesar de ter achada a hospedagem cara, valeu pela comodidade. Muito perto da parte da orla de Sliema, de onde há ônibus para varias parte de Malta e para o aeroporto, além da balsa para Valleta. Porém, o ônibus do aeroporto até o hostel não é direto, tal como no caminho inverso. Há supermercados próximo. O quarto com 4 camas é bem espaçoso, mas não tem cortina de privacidade. Além disso, o banheiro dentro do quarto não tem lugar para apoiar sabonete e shampoo enquanto se toma banho. A cozinha é bem equipada. É possível deixar as malas na recepção antes do check-in e após o check-out. Ponto negativo para não deixarem poucas horas antes, mesmo tendo a cama já pronta (fui acordado em 2 dias seguidos quando entraram no quarto para fazer a arrumação da cama às 10h da manhã, o que demonstra que já poderia haver cama pronta no dia que cheguei, às 11h da manhã. Passei a noite viajando, e tive que dormir e esperar numa cadeira na área comum do lounge, até a hora do check-in).

Ótima estadia.

Foi tudo ótimo. Localização a poucos passos do ferry pra Valetta e de todos os passeios para as outras ilhas. Cozinha excelente. Banheiro ótimo. Limpeza ótima. Quarto ótimo.
Como ponto negativo: falta aquelas cortinas hoje super comum em hostel pra dar uma certa privacidade na cama. E acho que o e-mail avisando que o check in não é 24hrs poderia ser enviado antes, deu tudo certo pra mim, mas por pouco não pego ninguém pra abrir a porta e o e-mail com os procedimentos chegou quando eu estava em trânsito e eu não vi. Mas tive sorte de pegar alguém acordado pra abrir a porta pra mim onde aí achei o bilhete com o cartão do quarto.

Das Hostel ist super sauber und sehr gut gelegen. Das 6er Zimmer war sehr groß und hell mit eigenem Badezimmer.
Ich habe dort sehr viele liebe Menschen kennengelernt und mit ihnen eine schöne Zeit verbracht.

Pas mal pour quelques nuits

J’étais dans le dortoir au sous-sol à côté du jacuzzi, chambre très humide, malgré la petite cour impossible d’ouvrir la porte sinon les moustiques entraient. Heureusement climatisé mais il faisait très chaud. Attention, les serviettes de toilettes ne sont pas comprises. Le matelas était de bonne qualité, auberge bien placée dans Sliema et proximité des bus. Suffisant pour quelques nuits.

Might be the hostel I've ever been

Perfect place to stay, nice staff, generous commor area, overall very nice building & complimentary jacuzzi.
Matress could be a bit harder, but thats the only little thing to improve.

여성전용 도미토리 썼는데 좋았어요
리셉션도 정말 친절하시고 청소하시는분도 매일 와서 꼼꼼히 청소해주세요
같이 묵는 친구들도 좋아서 좋은 기억이네요
1층과 2층 사이가 넓어서 1층 써도 하나도 안불편하고 천장이 높아서 안답답해요
다만 2층침대가 높은데 사다리가 얇아서 오르내리기 힘들어요
예약전 1층 요청하시면 될거같아요
위치도 슬리에마 버스정류장 바로앞이고 깨끗하고 넓고 친절해서 만족했습니다!
