La Siesta Resorts is landscaped beautifully. Easy check in process (although other people seemed to be having issues with their reservations). The ocean view 2-Queen bed room had an exceptional view of both the ocean and the pool. It was more spacious than I expected with a separate living area and great balcony.
I wish more attention was paid to the maintenance of the room. Reminded me of some old NJ shore motels. There were several broken outlet covers, water/moisture damage to the bathroom vanity and \"kitchen\" cabinets. Beat up shower/tub. Slow draining \"kitchen\" sink. Not enough space to hang towels. no sink plug to hand wash anything. We barely saw any staff. Had to ask for cleaning services.
Pool is nice, especially for young kids (gradual walk in area), but was bath water warm- not refreshing on a hot day. Took us awhile to figure out where to get towels (outside the pool area). Ocean swim area was more natural- probably better for fishing than swimming. Also, there is no restaurant at this resort- you can get food and drinks at the snack bar, but no table service or servers.
I loved taking the water shuttle to the other associated resorts- wish it ran longer, but it is limited by the tides. The pool at Three waters required the room key bracelet to access- so we couldn't get in, which was disappointing.
Location was good with many restaurants and grocery store within a 5 minute drive. It's walkable to a coffee shop, boat rental place, and Amara Caye.

I’m not sure I would ever stay at La siesta again. It has potential to be a good resort but the lack of process, management, communication and hospitality makes me think that it won’t ever be (unless a new management company takes over). This will also make me steer clear of their sister resorts, Amara Cay and Three waters.

Room issues aren’t taken care of (like broken floor boards, broken shower valves, broken fridges, missing curtains) - resort issues aren’t taken care of (broken pool drains around the entire pool, very dirty pool, unkept beach area) and lack of service and direction for guests (no direction on pool towels, not refilling pool towels when you finally find them, no clarity on where to put used pool towels which leads to piles of used towels everywhere, trash being left around the pool).

The paying customer is ignored! This is my biggest complaint. When trying to check in our room wasn’t ready, that’s fine - front desk said they would call when it was ready. Did they call? Nope. I had to guess that it was enough time and to my shock, it was ready without the phone call. Next my husband went to the office to get room maintenance to come to our room (missing curtains in bedroom and non-functioning fridge). The front desk said maintenance would be to our room in a few minutes. 2 hours later no one! My husband had to return to the front desk to urge them to send a maintenance person. 20 min later he came and zip tied blanket as a curtain and no backup fridges

We had a wonderful stay in the BOTE House. Perfect for a small family and dogs with the fenced in yard. The staff was great and very accommodating. The access to the other resorts and amenities is also a huge plus. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the green cottage (didn't take photos of inside). Location is fabulous and sunrises are beautiful. Room was clean upon arrival. However, it did not look as nice as the website. Bathroom was very small. Little counter top space and no tub (we didn't care about that). Bedroom smaller too. We stayed four nights and elected to not have our room cleaned on one day. However, it was not cleaned on the other days even though staff said it was on the list. The Tiki Bar does not serve alcohol. We had to order our drinks at the sister resort, Amara Cay and have them delivered. Not sure if we missed that on the website, but definitely disappointed. Enjoyed drinks and apps at the Amara Cay Tiki Bar.

The best I can say is that it was quiet, calm, and relaxing. Rooms were very good. Some showed sign of work - pencil marks from measuring for mirrors/paintings, and with beds right under a window that opened into the external hallway was a little noisy. Limited food options, no full bar (beer and wine only). The free use of kayaks and paddle boards was a plus.

The studio oceanview room had an amazing view. The room felt old and out dated with alot of wear, cracked floors and missing closet doors. I broke my toe on the door stop they left on the floor for the missing door to close against. I have to remove the screws from the floor myself so no one else got injured in it. The mattress in the pull out couch is not very comfortable as the springs are shot and poke out. We did not receive our breakfast we ordered ahead of time on the app. We had to ask for the fruit and cheese platter as it did not get delivered either. Not sure where the lack of communication happened as I also let the staff know and had to go ask again for them.

Employees were very nice and that is THE ONLY kind thing I can say. Do NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICS OR THE STATED AMENITIES. PLEASE do not book this resort if you’re looking for a great place to stay. This was a trailer experience for a Ritz Carlton price.

1. Room had a great view/bal cont and that is what you pay for. The actual room was very run down, musty, rough sheets, hard pillows, and very loud AC. We were in a suite that was spacious but no utensils, paper towels,soap, cups in the kitchen.
2. Called for a spare blanket because the ‘extra’ one was made of foam, smelled, and was itchy. They never me came!
3. Prior to arrival I received texts offering upgraded items some for a fee and some free. I ordered several items including breakfast, champagne, cookies, extra pillows, and room cleaning. I received NONE of those. Even called three times to have our room cleans and all they did was drop off towels. I even went into the lobby to ask again because it was nearly 5pm and they hadn’t come. The two ladies in the lobby were clearly annoyed and one asked the said to the other ‘What do they want?’ As though I was bothering them.
4. I was told the boat between resorts runs all day and after waiting 40 mins, I asked the folks working at the Kayak rental for an arrival time. They assured me it was coming soon and we waited another 20 mins. I then called the other resort who told me the boat was not running anymore.
DONT STAY HERE!!!! We could have cruised for the same price!!

THIS HOTEL IS FILTHY, do not book here! Expedia represents the hotel as accessible but unit has 14 steep stairs. Fridge is broken and dented, bathroom faucets only the hot handle worked, cold was turned off at the water source because it was broken, bathroom sinks were both clogged, dirt and grime everywhere, walls were dirty, floors scratched, vents were black, windows dirty on the outside. Save yourself the 1200 USD/night and go someplace else.

Room was clean, had some wear and tear but overall a good room for 5 of us. Beds were comfy. This is a quiet resort, but we did like that we could go to the other resorts. Loved the amenties. My only complaint was I wish they were available past 4pm. We wanted to do some water activities after returning to the resort but these things close early.

Room neglected (the floors were unclean, the sofa was very soiled, hole in a chair, peeling paint in bathroom shower ceiling and door frames, many ants in the kitchen area). Staff: The front desk staff did not seem to care how our stay was going. When checking out, did not even ask how our stay was. No housekeeping offered. A lot of work to get any new towels or toilet paper after 4 days of stay.

I wouldn't hesitate to book a stay here, it met all our expectations and more.

For two people the room was lovely & spacious, with a seperate lounge and dining/kitchen area & a balcony that caught the morning sun.

We only stayed for two nights so was hard to make the most of all the amenities.
We rented bikes and cycled around the area, chilled beside the pool area with complimentary beach towels & used the free shuttle service to the sister hotels on both nights.

Location was great for us as a pit stop from Key West and Miami. Lots to see and do locally.

Would definitely book again.

Where do I begin? There is a reason no one is staying at this hotel anymore. Upon arrival, we checked in and our AC wasn’t working. We let front desk know. Maintenance was called. We had to sit in the room and wait for them to come. They came and fiddled with ac for approx half of an hour. I assume he added Freon. I do not speak fluent Spanish so I’m not sure what he told me. I left and went to cocktails. When I returned the room was still 76degrees. I went to front desk asking to move rooms. I wrongly assumed I would receive an upgrade. I got a downgrade. My “garden view” was a view of a construction zone next door. Furniture was dirty. Blinds broken. Overall the decor was barren. The pool is missing tiles. The pool ladder is broken. House keeping didn’t come nor will they ever come from my gathering of other users reviews. AND there was blood on my sheets (not mine) The complimentary shuttle was “down for maintenance” my last day. ie they can’t staff appropriately.
I expected more and will not return.

Room internet drops every 30 seconds. Reported the problem multiple times. Workers blamed me for only telling front desk, thry say you must ask for a manager. Room is simply not cleaned unless you go to front desk to ask, and then you have to wait for mext day for cleaning. Room telephone does not work.

However, customer service by Marilyn and her team was amazing and prompt. Hotel has a nice relaxed vibe. Is on the beach and has a nice pool, room was big and front office staff were very helpful and nice. Parking was super easy. You have access to two other properties they own which are only 5 minutes away. Both are a little more fancy with nice restaurants and a free shuttle if you don't have a car. I would stay there again.

Ms Marilyn and Truedane welcomed us like we were the most important people to ever visit (we're not). Their energy and kindness are immediate. The pool was under repair our last day but there were free shuttles to the sister hotels nearby with really nice facilities. We went kayaking and they offer paddle boards. Plenty of activities to keep us occupied and they are almost walking distance to a number of really good restaurants.

The staff was absolutely amazing. They upgraded our room to one of the cottages on the beach and were super prompt about getting us more towels for our room when we asked.
Unfortunately the pool had giant chunks of the floor missing, lots of tiles missing on the deck and a ton of sand on the floor of the pool. La Siesta also does not have a liquor license so we were not able to purchase beers or any liquor based drinks like we were at their sister resort Amara Kay. We were told about breakfast one night while get the key lime pie pops (highly recommend). The breakfast was really great but we were not told that is was going to be added to our rooms which was disappointing to find out when we checked out. La Siesta has the potential to be really great but some transparency on prices and up keep on the amenities need some work.

Pool had black algae. Food price was expensive for the quality and presentation. The room was in bad shape; the closet door was broken. Shampoo and handwash were watered down, and the mattress was expired. Sixty USD per day was charged as resort fees, disclosed at the end of the stay, when normally you pay that upfront.
I really don't know what a 4-star hotel like this would differentiate from a regular motel.

My family had a great stay at La Siesta Resort! The staff was very kind and welcoming; they had everything ready ahead of our stay and even provided us with a free upgrade on the accommodation to boot! The pool and beach/marina area are great spaces and there were beach chairs and umbrellas throughout. The best part of our brief stay was the included kayak and paddleboard rentals, my family of four took advantage of them multiple times. Another great advantage of La Siesta Resort is that it is part of a collection of properties; so you have full access to the Three Waters Resort and Amara Cay Resorts. This greatly expands your dining and activities since you can access the pools and water crafts at each of the resorts. Also they offer a complimentary water taxi and shuttle bus between the properties. Super convenient! We definitely recommend La Siesta Resort and will be back soon!

Originally had a villa on the beach but the AC wasn’t cold enough and it was very small.
We were moved to a 2 BR suite and that was much nicer.
Property was a little worn down but the staff were amazing.
We have stayed at their sister property and wanted to try this one out. Next time we would probably stay at their sister resort because it has restraints and and a beach as well as being updated.
