Everything was wonderful, we were upgraded to ocean view. I just don't understand why they would charge us if we would use the coffee if it was part of the amenities and the maids were always asking for tips leaving notes and envelopes. We don't need to be told, it's obvious that you have to leave a daily tip. I just wish they would concentrate more on leaving toilet paper instead of me asking for it practically daily. I do want to praise Veronica the receptionist for her professionalism

Friendly welcoming staff, nice clean property with updated showers and good Wi-Fi but otherwise pretty standard 'hotel by the beach boardwalk' kind of place. Very very loud music out back almost every night until quite late. It sounds like the radio is on in your bedroom - it's that loud. I got used to it but it's a significant factor that you should consider. I stayed six nights and the music was pretty much a constant from Thursday to Sunday at least. The restaurant food is pretty good and there's a small pool with a small slide that seem to be popular with families. Definitely recommend as a moderate priced option that's safe and very convenient. Lots of great restaurants nearby and literally on the beach! Note - if I were more sensitive to the noise, I would probably rate this 3 stars.

Great location but probably won’t stay again.

Small parking lot. Our first night we had option to drive to a second parking lot away from hotel or park on the street on the side of the hotel. There really should be on site parking. Also 2 out of 4 days the AC did not work on our floor (5th) they have an old AC system that broke down during some construction. We then had to spend a night in another room because ours was just too hot. The receptionist had very stoic faces. Not friendly at all.

Very unhappy with our stay in this Hotel. They failed to notify us it was under construction and our side of the building would be very noisy most of the day. Front desk staff very unproffesional and even rude at times. No food allowed in as they sold food and wanted you to consume theirs. Ended up gettinh a different room after several complaints as the noise was unbearable. Would not recommend

Booked through expedia and they did not respect my booking and blamed expedia for not advising them of me asking for a room with double beds. They said they were all out of rooms with 2 beds unless I wanted to \"upgrade\" to a suite and pay the difference. I had no choice but to pay as my family would not fit in a one bed. When I went into so called suite it was no different than a standard room and was super small. Next day I asked to be switched to a \"standard room\" after I had complained the night before about the lady at the front refusing to help me and making me pay extra. As I mentioned before once they switched me I confirmed the rooms are all exactly the same with the exception of the sinks. They also do not allow any drinks or food to be brought into the establishment. I had never heard of this before. I have came to Maza plenty of times and have never had any issues with other hotels. No snacks I mean nothing can be walked into your hotel. I asked to extend my room stay on my last day as my flight did not leave till 8pm again they made me change rooms and pay for \"suite\" if I wanted to stay longer they wouldn't just extend my stay. Never would I recommend or come back to this Hotel.

The room was clean unfortunately the 5th floor were we were had no water for hrs the drinks in the bar were bad even the employees stated the only good drink was a piña colada and beer we had to eat out of the hotel due to the food not being good and not being able to order from outside gym was closed the coffee pack in the room were charged over all for the amount I paid for 3 nights not worth it

Everything is walkable from this hotel and cleaning staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, it was very loud. Loud music outside every night until 5am. Loud inside due to construction (jack hammer). Due to my previous comment, I was moved to the executive suite. Outside our door, the smoke alarm beeped all night due to low batteries. Was not immediately addressed. There was a surcharge for in room coffee and no access to the room fridge. We checked out a day early and our credit card was not credited for the unused stay. Unpleasant stay and we paid for more than what we used.

We checkout of our original hotel in Mazatlan to switch to Olas Altas and we are SO glad we did! The staff were so friendly and helpful at the front desk. They even arranged with a local lab for us to get our COVID tests done in the same day. The location is perfectly in the middle of the waterfront so you can walk in either direction and get to restaurants, souvenir shops, convenience stores ope 24/7 and other amenities. What you get for the value of the hotel is amazing! We felt very safe with round the clock security at the entrance of the property. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for good value in Mazatlan.

I end up not staying there because as soon as I arrived I noticed the place is been remodeled. It was dirty and workers everywhere. It didn’t look like the pictures at all. I still asked to see the rooms and the elevator was dark so as the hallways. It was noisy missing tiles etc. I asked for a refund and it was declined at first. My anniversary was ruined I had to deal with finding a decent place to stay and dealing with losing my money.

Olas Altas was a great place to stay at. Wonderful customer service. Anything you need was available when requested. The only thing i did not pay attention too was that it had no refrigerator. Besides that its a cozy hotel close to so many places and in front of the beach. I loved that!
