The food was tasty. The staff was courteous and attentive. The hotel is beach front so it was nice to go from the pool to the beach with ease. The views from the room were beautiful and you are able to relax on the balcony.
The hotel in itself is dated and would be much nicer is it was renovated. The A/C in the room does not have a good air flow and will only cool the area immediately in front of it and not the entire room.
The elevators are very small and during our stay, one of the elevators was out of service, which made for long wait times to go up to our room or us needing to take the stairs.
Overall, the hotel is okay and I give it 3out 5. This would not be my first choice in hotels next time I’m visiting Mazatlan.

WE LOVE THIS HOTEL AND HAVE BEEN COMING FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS NOT LIKE THE GLASS AND STEEL HOTEL LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS IN LAS VEGAS. IT IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL HOTELS IN THE GOLDEN ZONE AND FEELS LIKE MEXICO. THE STAFF, MANY OF WHICH HAVE BEEN THERE FOR DECADES, ARE GREAT. OCEAN FRONT OUTSIDE SEATING IN THE RESTAURANT FOR MEALS OR COCKTAILS IS PERFECT.

The beach view was amazing, great location, within walking distance of many stores and restaurants. The rooms were dated. Very small bathroom, no place to put toiletries. Air conditioner leaked. Unable to open up the closet all the way because the bed was too close. If you're looking to stay outside, enjoy the beach, and local shops, would highly recommend this hotel. If you plan to spend any time in the room, would not recommend this hotel.

Spectacular view. Superb front desk staff, Clean room & Maintenance staff are prompt to a problem. The food is expensive in comparison. The staff in the food area seem a little off, not working together, just looking after their own customers. The Life guards should both be fired. Overall the hotel seems to be not be keeping up with the necessary maintenance, it's like the owners don't care anymore. It is as if the owner is more interested in the cruise ship people who come in for a bit rather than their guests who are staying at the hotel. The fountain wall no longer works, the north pool never opened ect. Advise: find Life Guards who are willing to do the job they've been hired for before Las Flores is known for a drowning while 2 life guards sat around playing video games ect. You could do a no phone policy. Feb 14/26

Everything was great. Safes would be a great addition to rooms. Cruise ship people being able to come in get towels and use the pool was a bit annoying as they were not paying to stay there and they disregarded rules and went into both the pool and hot tub with sand all over their kids. Staff were great. Room was clean. Beds a little small and not comfortable but location and staff amazing. We will be back for sure.

Overall, this is a very average hotel, you get what you pay for. The rooms are nice, however the beds are not the most comfortable. Water pressure and temperature are great in the showers! The pool is nothing extravagant, but it’s nice to relax and have for when you want a quick dip. Beach access is super easy and there is always someone on duty watching the ocean in case something happens. The staff are extremely friendly and will always offer a helping hand when needed. Although a small detail, the elevator is a bit rickety and they are tiny with no air circulation, not a good combo with sticky, salty skin and humidity. Overall, again you really get what you pay for.

We were first put into a room with 1 big step down to enter, then 2 other steps to get into a bathroom. Definitely not suitable for 2 seniors. I feel that we should have been told about this very unusual floor plan because there were other rooms available w/o this dangerous floor plan. I feel the hotel should have supplied a coffee pot with afew filters & even some plastic glasses to drink from. We ended up moving into a room with a kitchenette so we’d have room to move about as the original room you could barely move around in. The kitchenette one cost us 3000 p extra but at least we had lots of room.

I had two separate maintenence issues. Both times, when I called the desk they had someone there immediately and the problems were resolved. Property is older but kept up. Best location in golden zone, close to many restaurants as well as they have one in the hotel.

The location is great, but this property is old and shows the typical signs of an outdated hotel. The constant noise of the 'banda' bands all afternoon ruin any peace and tranquility you may be hoping to get. Beach vendors will interrupt your sleep or reading every minute - and that's not an exaggeration. The staff, or course, are attentive and efficient.

El hotel y las instalaciones ya estan viejas y descuidadas. Hace 20 anos solia hospedarme en este hotel y era espectacular y por eso decidi regresar pero ya no es lo mismo. La ubicacion sigue siendo muy buena, centrica y puedes ir caminando a muchos lugares como al malecon, a la playa, a comer al Panama, bares y muchas opciones de restaurantes pero las instalaciones ya son viejas y descuidadas.

Lo que si me molesto muchisimo es la banda en la playa todo el dia todo el tiempo incluso hasta altas horas de la noche, el hotel no tiene la culpa de esto pero es bastante molesto. Me quede en el piso 11 y hasta aya se escuchaba la banda de la playa.

We liked the location of the property. So many restaurants near by and lots to see and do. The only downfall is the Bandas playing on the beach. They are so loud and we really couldn't call it music that they were playing. They made sitting on the beach almost unbearable. It was so loud that there was no way you could have a nice relaxing afternoon on the beach. They should be restricted to playing away from the beach. Not sure where they should play but definately not there. Also when we asked for chairs to be brought down to the beach we were often told there weren't any but yet when people from the cruise ships came to the beach they found all kinds of chairs for them. We paid to stay at the resort but felt that we didn't matter.

The 2 elevators were slow with minimum capacity of 2 people. We upgraded room to a king suite with jacuzzi on the balcony, the jets on the jacuzzi did not work and the mattress was brick hard.
The view was outstanding, the staff was very friendly and there is a lot of shops and dining options close by.

We liked the entire property. Close to other stores for shopping and restaurants close by to go get food. Rooms were excellent, had excellent ac conditioning and they were clean.
A thing we didn’t like is that the elevators were always taking too much time for people to get to their rooms.
We end up having to go through stairs to get there fast to leave our luggage and everything else.
Hopefully it can improve transportation to the rooms.
