The hotel is older but spotless! The staff were welcoming. Our room was facing the ocean. The room was large and had a full size fridge. The beds were firm but very comfortable. We booked the room with breakfast which was very convenient. This is not a five star resort but we were extremely happy with the hotel. It was nice to see Mexican people enjoying the hotel and ocean!

I mentioned that the exit from the small pool was not safe, exposed rocks and garbage accumulating . I suggested mor sand and better overal cleanliness around the beach chairs. I am Canadian and we do not leave stuff lying around, we do not butt cigarettes in the sand

The company is a group of 3 hotels, one besides the other one, the booking was for made for the tower as it says in the name of the property, and the accommodation was in the cheapest complex of the group, it was supposed to have fridge on the room and barely had soap in the washroom.

This hotel is a 3-meals package deal with the room. They put a wrist band on you, gives you meals (mostly poor quality) and cheaper well drinks in the bar. Lots of noise both in the hotel and on the beach (roving brass bands imposing their excessively loud sounds whether welcome or not, some call it culture, others call it obnoxious). We’d booked tower rooms for our family, but on arrival found others had been given our rooms. Rooms have nice views but are very plain and utilitarian, not remotely close to being luxurious or worth the exorbitant costs. There are better beach hotels to the south.

The structure itself leaves much to be desired. It needs a lot of repairs and the staff just puts bandaids on everything. The dining was not good at all. I’ve stayed at the palace resorts in Cancun and this is NOTHING like the Palace resorts in Cancun. I was extremely disappointed. I paid more money thinking it would be the same but NOTHING like the palace resorts in Cancun. I was extremely disappointed for what I paid for, I have always used Expedia and have never had an issue but I was extremely disappointed this time.

Very disappointing. Both pools were so packed we couldn’t use them. Food in cafeteria was low quality (so many dishes and salads with hotdogs??). We had a junior suite with a kitchenette but there weren’t any kitchen tools or dishes. Room had very thin walls so we could hear everything from next door. The worst part was how overcrowded it was and the lack of dining options options. We would never recommend.

Multiple amenities were down when we arrived. The staff members we’re not helpful or friendly. The place was clean but the customer service the place offered was nothing that made it inviting to stay over again. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a vacation to spend solely at the hotel. Luckily, I have family in the city so I used the hotel to sleep only. Otherwise, you’re probably better off finding something with better customer service.

This is only the second time that I send a negative review , one for a restaurant in Seattle and this on , I’m also is the same industry everything went wrong from the smelly bathroom the the water pressure very poor service from the staff etc even the safe box breaks down several times and it needed to be completely open and replace a piece on the inside a50 minute repair, just stay away is a very bad hotel, I will call Expedia to consider removing this hotel from there page , sincerely stay away, Jhon

Check in was the worst experience ever the reseptionist had the worst attitude ever i made a mistake on the number of people in check in and they offered no solution to it and had me waiting a hour before checking me in, my sandals were stolen on the pool side and i was simply blamed for leaving them un un atended, if your looking for a quite stay this is not it there are a few bars across the street and you will not be anle to sleep with all the noise, i tried to speak with a manager about this terrible service and i was denied because he was not available

The location was great. The service great , friendly and English spoken, close to restaurants and shopping, buses and taxi’s close. A few things things I didn’t care for 1) not enough chairs on the beach, we tried to save some by going down early in the morning but when we returned someone had taken them. Another thing is we didn’t get to use the pools they were so crowded, and lastly the bed was hard as a rock, other than that it was great I would stay at again but maybe at the Luna Palace because it seemed more quiet.

Horrible. Hotel itself it ok, but to check in took 3 hours. It’s overcrowded. Pool is nasty filled with tons of little kids in diapers.
Buffet is a joke. If your husband is hungry and you are not, they going to make sure you will not take one French fry off his plate. They watch you chew your food. Horrible. The bar itself is ok. The stuff one particular person named Sebastian Kevin is a pig. He hit on my wife while she was on the beach by telling her to kiss him and he will bring her a free drink. He is disgusting person who shouldn’t work at any hotels. He was hitting on her the whole time we were there but that was too much. When we brought it up with manager, no one seemed to find one..lack of English is a big minus. One girl spoke English and she said what he did was inappropriate and he will be fired but days later he still working the bar serving alcohol to people at the beach. Sebastian Kevin. Goes by Kevin.

Great view. Right in front of the beach. The service was great. Everybody so nice. The only bad thing is that there was too many people staying. Hard to control customers not using face masks. One elevator was broken, so it was a pain to wait for it.

Estuvimos 5 noches con el sol inclusive!
1. El check-in estuvo espantoso, estuvimos una hora y media haciendo fila para registrarnos. Existe un check-in en línea que te envían días antes sin embargo nunca funcionó. El llegar al hotel comento esto y me dijeron que efectivamente tenían problemas.
2. Habitación bonita, funcional, muy limpia, el único detalle colchines muy incómodos.
3. Alimentos y bebidas. Desayuno regular pero comida y cena muy feo, nos tocó un día que las verduras estaban echadas a perder, avisamos y comprobaron que era cierto y las retiraron al poco tiempo. Las bebidas regular. Los restaurantes de reservación como el Roxy y el de la cena romántica estuvieron excelentes, muy rica comida tengo que decir. Quisimos comer en el sushi pero nos dijeron que ese tenía costo extra, lo cuál obvio no nos agrado.
4. Servicio en alberca y/o playa muy escaso y al ir a pedir había solo una persona atendiendo para toda la gente.
5. Ubicación del hotel está excelente, restaurantes, Oxxo, todo a unos pasos.
6. Me agrado mucho el que podíamos hacer uso de los 4 hoteles.

Loved its location! Right on the beach and near many good restaurants. They were always cleaning and were up to following safety procedures due to Covid-19. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Especially Jacob S.and his supervisor,not to mention the information desk staff.They were genuinely concerned for us and went out of their way to help us.I can not say Thank-you enough!

We were assigned the 5th floor. I asked if possible, to give us a higher floor. We got the 14th Floor. The panoramic views from the balcony were astonishing; Amazing. We stayed for hours and hours in the balcony just looking at the beach, the city lights, the 2 islands directly in front, the long coast and ocean waves washing ashore in front of the other beach front properties as well as ours. It was just amazing; I am lost for words. I have stayed at the Hilton Hotel in Rome, Italy overlooking the Vatican and the view from their balcony did Not Compared to the view from the Pacific Palace. The staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever questions we had. Will definitely stay here again.

Very clean hotel, great ocean view and newer style, large room. Beds were very firm.
I did not eat at the hotel, prefered to venture out and there were lots of nearby choices.
Diego's next door played great music every afternoon, on weekends it was very loud until midnight so if that is an issue ask for a room away from there.
The pool is ok, small, and the hot tub was nice. There is a larger pool at the attached Oceana Hotel.
I would stay there again!

Overall, the stay was OK. When we first checked in, the room had ants so we were moved. The biggest problem was the music/noise from the beach bar. I can accept some music etc., however, some nights they went to past 1:00 AM and blasted the speakers towards the hotel we were in. The other problem is the rooms don't seem to be sound proof and you can hear everything from the next room or from down the hall. Hot water was a challenge also at times. Having said those things, the hotel employees are excellent and really work hard to please the guests. This is the second time we stayed here, however, due to the noise and the lack of sound proofing we are not likely to stay here again.

That is was on the beach.... We were hassled upon checking in and told I would have to pay extra for my wife. I refused and had to sneak her in until I was able to address it with the manager the next day. It was straightened out but caused us both additional stress we didn't need. The safe required servicing, the bathroom sink backed up with water everything you ran it, and we lost power for a few hours with no water which was very troublesome. The maid woke us up knocking on our door at 7:45 am mistaking our room and a toilet paper request with some other room... had to insist on a do not disturb hanger for the door. When the maid cleaned our room she left the balcony door unlocked so security was definitely compromised.... I think overall there was way too many issues to micromanage that would ever prompt me back into booking this place ever again.

Night clubs across the street can keep you up late because it is loud in the city view rooms. No notice was given to us and our room had no water for anything (washing hands, showers, flushing toilets, etc.) for at least 6 hours. Rooms were clean, had a full size fridge and microwave.

The staff spoke very good English. They are all very happy and eager to please. I would definitely pay the extra for the breakfast buffet because they start serving at 730am. The town of Mazatlan starts waking up around 9am to noon. We did not see any vendor or restaurant open early. Also, the street vendors and restaurants close to this hotel are great. When we return for another visit to Mazatlan, we will definitely stay at the Pacific / Ocean Towers.

My room had a leak that got our shoes wet. Management was horrible in handling the situation. Their customer service is bad. They didn't offer any compensation for our damaged shoes. When I asked about they told me nothing they could do. We stayed there 5 days, with the AC working halfway. Super noisy because it was plugged and it was the reason it leaked so much. I'm very disappointed of the service here. As the hotel itself is very nice and great location. It is unbelievable that it is owned by the governor and they still treat tourists this way.

Hotel staff were so helpful & accommodating. Hotel is quite new & decor was lovely. Great restaurant with great buffet breakfast at attached sister hotel. We picked a room that had a kitchen but there was no ability to cook except a microwave so that was disappointing. Nice big fridge & enough dishes/utensils. Beds were a little hard even though they were pillowtops. Bar restaurant next door had great music pretty much every night so if you would find the noise annoying, the rooms with ocean view might not work for you. We enjoyed the good music ourselves!

Nice Hotel on the Beach

Comfortable hotel with paper thin walls. You can hear your next door neighbours talking and the hair dryer going. The pool and hot tub appeared very milky so we didn't go in it. The beach is a great walking beach - you can walk for miles and right onto the Malacon, but it's very, very noisy with multiple tuba bands. If you enjoy music of all kinds - then this is your hotel! Not much trust given to guests. You sign for beach towels, kitchen equipment, TV remote and you can't charge drinks to your room at the outdoor bar. Good location and the staff is very willing to help. Adrian at the front desk was great!

The Palace at Mazatlan

It was a fantastic hotel with great rooms. The staff were so very friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. The front desk staff were just excellent and arranged a room change with no trouble at all. Hector at the front desk was able to assist us. We only had breakfast each day at the pool and the food was very good. The staff there also were very welcoming. If it works out, we would gladly stay here again.

Nice hotel with problems

I would only recommend this hotel if the person stayed in an upper level room on the beach side. There are restaurants across the street from the hotel who start bands playing at 11 pm and they don't stop until 2 am. It was brutal on Wednesday night. Got no sleep, I was on the 8th floor. Demanded to be moved. Got moved to 15th floor but could still hear the music but not as bad. Other people were complaining too.

I would like to go there again.

Most of the staff spoke English. They were all very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. They were not elaborate but comfortable and new. My room looked exactly like the picture in Travelocity. The hotel had three restaurants which were very reasonably priced. The restaurants opened right onto the beach. Beautiful view and the beaches were not crowded. Spending a week in Mazatlan was cheaper than spending a week in most of the tourist destinations in the U.S. and an exciting, different experience. I had a wonderful time and want to go back.

Food anddrinks are not good

The Food was very avarage, we werent impress at all, i do not recommen it this hotel, the staff was very pleasand, and all inclusive is just for locals drinks which are not impressive at all. Not sea food included which for me it is a deal break, like i said before i do not recomend this hotel

Can't drink tap water and you have to buy all of your water except a bottle when you check in. No hot tub. It was lukewarm. Great location. Nice beach. Great ocean views. Floors smelled bad in hall. Food pretty good in restaurant.

New hotel infront of the beach

Hotel rooms were really big and nice. My only bad review is that they charge for an extra person after the second person when the rooms fit up to 4 people. The other inconvenience is that the pool is too small and there is no kids pool. Other than this the breakfast buffet is excellent and at an affordable price that you can include in your rate. The room is so large, updated and contemporary, a large crystal shower and the view of balconies are breathtaking.

Good Hotel right on beach

Overall I had a good stay at this hotel. The room was large and well appointed although it was noisy as it was a storey above the rooftop air conditioning units for the block. The bed was comfortable and air-con efficient.
I did have to ask for the kitchen cupboards to be unlocked for use, but staff did come promptly to do this.
My main complaint would be that there is no secure internet connections available in the hotel. I was told to go to another hotel's business center down the road.
