Es un hotel lindo! Las camas requieren renovarlas ya están viejas y también la cubre cama., el cuarto que me quedé estaba muy amplio y con vista al mar maravillosa vista muy bonito y hay un ambiente tranquilo con un servicio excelente!!! Los restaurantes el que ofrece los desayunos tiene muy buena atención y mucho que escoger muy bueno! No me gustó el restaurante pescados! mala la comida y como que la sacaron de la heladera y mal calentada no lo recomiendo. Muy bueno servicio en general muy amable todo el personal ., si volvería a ese hotel

Let me start by saying the service is top notch. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location with beach access is great.

Where it fell short for me was the “all-inclusive” aspect. When you hear that, you expect to be able to order freely from the menu, but in reality the options are limited to specific items. On top of that, the drinks were disappointing. Cocktails felt watered down, and even something as simple as a chocolate milk for my son tasted diluted. If you want a better-quality liquor, like Don Julio, you have to pay extra, around $7 per drink.

The rooms themselves were fine, but the beds were a letdown. For a higher-tier resort, I expected better comfort. The mattresses were very firm, and the small pillows weren’t comfortable to sleep on.

Another thing I noticed is that upon arrival, there weren’t basic amenities you usually expect, like bottled water or coffee in the room.

Overall, it’s a good hotel with great service and location, but they need to improve the drink quality, expand the menu options, and pay more attention to comfort and accuracy in their listings. Some of the restaurants listed are actually offsite, and a few of the photos online don’t match the real setup, like Cilantros, which is enclosed rather than open-air as shown.

This was a wonderful mix of vacation resort and authentic local vibes. We really enjoyed the hotel, the customer service was excellent the food was amazing including the buffet! I have food restrictions and never felt like I couldn't order something at the restaurants. The beach was a 10, soft sand and fun surf/boogie waves. The ONLY challenge I had was with the beds- they were VERY firm, pillows were soft the rooms were mildly musty. Overall we would love to go back!

We caught a Marlin & Mahi Mahi and he cooked and prepared some of the best meals we've ever had! We'll definitely be back.

You can imagine our surprise when we arrived at the resort to find out Pueblo Bonito did not have any rooms for us, even though we booked June 2025, trip for 2026. They sent us to the sister resort which has no swimmable beach, an important part of the reason we picked pueblo bonito Mazatlan. After getting the runaround at the resort we finally made our way to the sister resort where we had to stay for 2 days before we could move back.

We as well are extremely disappointed with the service with Expedia. Another family who we went with were offered $400 credit to there Expedia account for this error, and they refused to give us the same credit.

The resort is clean, quiet, and relaxing, with a great beachfront location. However, it does not deliver the level of service expected for its price range, and the website significantly exaggerates the amenities. Rely on recent guest reviews rather than marketing materials.
Food & Dining:

Good quality but very limited options compared to other Mexican resorts.
No printed menus; you must use your device.
Every transaction requires signing in/out with a fob—feels intrusive despite polite staff.
Only one venue open at a time: buffet (morning), pool bar (afternoon), à la carte (evening). Buffet was repetitive all week.
Italian restaurant’s Christmas dinner was poor quality; no vegetarian options.
Downtown restaurant had an undisclosed 350-peso cover charge.
Advertised sushi bar didn’t exist; snack bar only open for lunch.
Amenities & Facilities
No swim-up bar; the only bar closes at 10 PM, after which no drinks are available.
No free airport shuttle.
Coffee machine in the room, but no cleaning or coffee provided—bring your own or pay extra for prepared coffee.

We just returned from a fantastic 5 night family vacation at the beautiful Pueblo Bonito a beach front all-inclusive resort in Mazatlan! Everything was fantastic including ALL the staff, all the servers and everyone at the front desk. Our room was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and high-quality amenities, making for an excellent night's sleep. The beach is excellent. We ate at the onsite Angelo's Restaurant 3 times because the food and service are phenomenal!

Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan was a gorgeous resort - the staff went above and beyond, the view from our room was unbelievable. The beach was stunning and the pools were well maintained. The food was overrall very good, Angelos was excellent, the buffet had a good variety, Cilantros for dinner was great - their breakfast hit and miss. I wish our room had a little fridge and a proper coffee maker - that was our only real complaint. Overall a really nice experience - I would not hesitate to come back.

A Real Disappointment - Misses the Mark on Svc & Detail

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (Based on a \"Luxury, Premium Suite\" and All-Inclusive Experience)

Our recent stay at the Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan was, unfortunately, a lesson in managed disappointment. Having stayed at and enjoyed other Pueblo Bonito properties (Emerald Bay, Pacifica, and Rosé), my expectations were set for their usual standard of service. This original Mazatlan property fell shockingly short.

Check-in was efficient and hassle-free, which was a promising start. Unfortunately, this was the high point of the service experience.The so-called \"luxury” rooms\" lacked basic amenities: no microwave, no refrigerator, no glassware, no coffee cups and no kitchenette. Only two sets of towels were provided for a suite. There was an old, worn coffee-maker WITHOUT coffee or complements.
The television in the main living area was completely non-functional and emitted a horrible static hiss, requiring a full replacement. To add to the frustration, sections of the flooring in the den were visibly not clean.

Service Failures and Lack of Attention to Detail were recurrent.
We requested a refrigerator, and one arrived in an appalling state—filthy both inside and out.

Room Svc did not included delivery. There was a $4 charge each time. Orders arrived without flatware or napkins: had to ask for these often.
The staff gave conflicting answers to basic questions re basic svcs and amenities. Poor training was evident.

Our view was beautiful of both the ocean and pool area and allowed us to have the Mexican vibe. One thing we really wish our room had was a small table top fridge. It was very difficult keeping our water cold. And actually having coffee, not just the pot. Would we come back again? Yes.

I was very disappointed with this Pueblo Bonito. Check in was great. The first day in our room was fine, the 2nd day the water in the shower was so hot it burned you. The next 5 days we had not hot water. The water was lukewarm, we let it go the first day thinking it was a busy time everyone getting ready to dinner. The next day i t continued, we called maintenance he came and said we just needed to let the water run. We explained to him we had let it run for 2 showers and still no hot water. He told us it was fine and to just let it run. We also let him know that there was a leak from the ceiling in the restroom leaving a puddle on the floor. He told us it was fine that it was just the condensation. We had to leave a towel on the floor for the rest of our trip to prevent us slipping. The food and service at Cilantros was GREAT. The buffet was horrible with the exception to the omelet station in the morning. The location was great you had more food options with in walking distance. Overall we were not happy with our stay here.

The hotel also makes you sign something stating you won’t contract the Banda but they should really focus on the vendors. I stayed at Pueblo bonito Mazatlan for a week with my husband and toddler. Starting off wasn’t so good because we arrived at 10:30 pm and restaurants were closed so we ordered room service, we were starving from traveling all day and ordered about 2 plates each. The person on the phone for room service was so rude and said your ordering too much food and system says it’s only 2 people in ur room. We are going to charge you double for your room advice delivery fee. I was upset but front desk called them and cleared it up and it was fine. If I’m paying full price for a 4 year old to be there , she should be put in the system as another guest because this was an issue a few times….. so Pueblo bonito please do better as this causes a huge inconvenience. Aside from that, the entire trip was amazing. The restaurants on site were delicious, staff was amazing and our room was beautiful. It was a wonderful family vacation and we will be back! If you stay there you can go to the aquarium of Mazatlan for free! And it’s such a gorgeous aquarium and well worth visiting. Take an uber not a taxi! The uber is only $5! I highly recommend staying here, especially with kids as it’s very kid friendly. Get the all inclusive , it’s worth it. If you don’t have kids I wouldn’t suggest it because it’s very family friendly and you will prob get splashed while having a drink in the pool….. Pueblo bonito Pacifica in Cabo is an amazing adults only option that I have gone to before.

Mejora en el menu.

Considero que es de los mejores hoteles en Mazatlán, sin embargo creo que deben considerar mas la variedad de comida, el mismo menú en Cilantros a diario no es bueno para su clientela (imagina el que tiene todo incluido y se hospeda por varios días), además el servicio ahí fue muy lento, los meseros deben mejorar su atención.

Difficult to exchange US dollars for Mexican pesos. I have a US passport and also a US passport card, they did not accept the US passport card in order to to exchange money. This makes absolute no sense because I can travel the entire world and international airports with this US passport card, but I cannot exchange dollars for pesos with it? IT IS THE EQUIVALENT TO A US PASSPORT! (PUEBLO BONITO LOOK INTO THIS! I DO NOT LIKE TO CARRY MY PASSPORT ON PERSON IF NOT NECESSARY THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A US PASSPORT CARD!)

Travel tips. Mazatlan is more of a national destination and not as much foreigners, so be prepared to speak some Spanish to get around.
Hotel. 9/10 ONLY because.. please read....
Staff was amazing always attentive. I came at a good time but if you get a wave of check-ins, be prepared to wait a bit. It's a bit of information to hand to you and they give you undivided attention.
Food, was offered varieties but you have to hunt them at different times and locations. Breakfast buffet is the same every day though.
This hotel package gives you free entrance to aquarium, and shuttle to it's sister hotel Emerald Bay. Diff pool and view and more restaurant options. So that was a plus!
JR SUITE, if I am paying for large room, please give me something bigger than FULL size bed. That's my negative. Said sleeps 6 (2 beds & 1 sofa sleeper). I should have been better off getting two rooms and hoping for a king in one. I need my rest during vacation but having to share such a small bed was not my idea.
Summed up, I would come back to this hotel but would choose my room option differently.

We were looking forward to our stay at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan. It started awkwardly. After checking in, we were told to visit another desk where our bracelets would be activated. This also included being invited to attend a breakfast in a different hotel (Emerald Bay) for a sales pitch. Not the idea of relaxation after a flight. Dining was OK but the drinks felt very watered down. There was a “Banda” on the beach playing music. Unfortunately, they were loud and out of tune. They were more of a nuisance than a picturesque element to our stay. It made watching the sun set unbearable. Getting a place on the beach was also a struggle. There was a single row of palapa for a very big hotel. We had to secure a spot at 6:00 am. This must have been worse for families with children who could not be up at 5:30 to get a spot under the shade. The guests were also not entirely wonderful. There was trash on the beach every day, as well as in the property. People left food in the hallways and it would take hours for it to be picked up. There were a couple of dead roaches every day in the morning in the hallway. The fitness center was also small (less than 80 sq ft) with one treadmill, one bicycle, and some dumbbells. The one in Emerald Bay was better—an actual fitness center—but it involved taking an uber or the not too frequent shuttle between the properties. This was quite inconvenient (and wasn’t clear in the marketing for the hotel). Mazatlan is beautiful. But not this hotel.

The food is not all that, alcoholic beverages were not good. The beverages were super high in sugar with no taste of alcohol. The setup of the room is not well designed. I had to move one of the beds extremely close to the closet so we could get through. The rooms only had 1 drawer, not enough to put our clothes away. The gym is super small & fills up very quickly. All the machines from the gym very dusty, had bleach to clean it but nothing to wipe it with. The AC in the gym was off & it was so hot.

Paradise resort in Mazatlán

This hotel is very nice and clean ,the service is excellent since you arrive, the waiters area always checking to see if we need anything, we love the Sunday brunch that they have and the Italian restaurant

The 4 of us traveled for a short AI family vacation. We stayed 4 nights. I didn’t realize there was a difference staying at PB Mazatlán and PB Emerald Bay. We stayed at PBM, but enjoyed PBEB more. The thing we really didn’t like about PBM were the bands playing on the beach. It was so noisy!! More than one band was playing Banda music on the beach, while the resort was playing music by the pool and guests had their own little speakers. So we honestly spent pool days at PBEB. But, at PBEB the beach wasn’t as fun to swim in bc there were definitely less waves. Another thing, the food was good as long as we stayed away from the buffets. Cilantro’s was nice and so was the Asian type cuisine at the other restaurant. I wish the menus would change nightly. The service everywhere was good. At the pool, some servers were better than others, but no one came by often to clear plates and cups from poolside, so that caused more birds to be picking at plates and therefore more poop around the pool chairs and umbrellas. The shuttle two and from both resorts was very useful. But, the earliest you go was about 10:30 am and the soonest you could get the next shuttle was 4pm. So you’re pretty much stuck at one hotel until the next shuttle, unless you take another form of public transportation. The hotel did have a fishing company come by to see if anyone was interested in fishing. We did the deep sea fishing, at $100 per person and had the BEST day!
It was a good trip, but I won’t be back.
