Stayed here 4 years ago & it was great. Hotel has gone down hill. 2 large pools were drained & under construction for 10 of 14 days. Constantly had to ask for water, coffee, toilet paper, face cloths & Kleenex. Was told to refill my 2 water bottles on 3rd floor. Hotel needs maintenance… lock feel off toilet door so hubby fixed. Patio lock fell off & never got fixed … same happened @ our friends room. 3 couples & we couldn’t access their floors as key was for lobby, 3rd floor pools/restaurant & our floor. Only positive was our maid. She was awesome!

The only bad thing is that out of the three elevators, one was out of service the whole time and the elevators took quite a while to get through the floors and there were no options of guest taking the stairs to make moving up and down the facility a bit quicker.

One elevator is broken so it takes a very long time to get elevator. Water filter not functional (drop by drop). Needs more vegetation on the hotel grounds. I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this property. The service was terrible, and the staff showed very little attention or hospitality. The hotel itself was dirty, worn-out, and obviously neglected. It’s clear that the maintenance is extremely poor, from the common areas to the rooms.
This place does not live up to the Hilton standard in any way. It honestly is not worth staying here, and it certainly does not deserve to carry the Hilton name. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Im glad we did not do the all inclusive option however, one day we decided to hang out at the hotel all day and had the breakfast buffet, the coffee was terrible and the food was mediocre. At lunch we ordered a burger at the restaurant and it was not good. My husband and Ionly about 2 bites of our sandwich. It was like a hockey puck. With such great esting options near by, save yourself the money from the all inclusive.

We have messaged the hotel the day before arrival for some requests. Was told the check in desk will accommodate our request and they are on our file. When we checked in, the staff did not acknowledge any requests we have made. Since our requests were not a must, we did not pushed for them.
We stayed here for the entire trip, total of 8 nights. We like the pool, the service on the pool level. Very friendly and attentive, often check on us when we were in the pool.
The lobby coffee shop lady was very sweet. She recognized me the second day already and even if I did not ordered from her, she greeted me with a smile and hola. The bell persons were very kind too, always a good morning or have a good day. The front desk staff, which is by the evaluators, never say hi to us as we walked in.
Housekeeping was a different story. Everyday there was something not replenish or missing. One day was hand soap, the other day with no towel. The first 2 day we have to call and ask for toilet paper.
In my opinion, as a Hilton property, I expect at least a 4+ stars service.
The location of this hotel is nice, walkable to Malecon and local shops. Local bus stop right in front of the hotel. Yet, we can basically wave to the bus driver on this main road and they will stop for you.

I liked the OXO across the street. I Love Mazatlán and the locals are kind and friendly. As I have said this I was surprised the staff here was not nice at all. They never once cleaned our room and we had a leak on the roof. Also there were never pool towels available we always waited over 2 hours for a towel. I definitely recommend Mazatlán just don’t stay at The Double Tree.

We had a really bad experience in this location , they give us our room 2 hours later of original check in time. Our room door was damage so we had maintenance ppl working on it during our stay. We did not receive no face towels or hands. Also our hand and body soap container where empty and old.
