Room did not come with a small fridge very disappointing. The pool was not heated which should have been. The buffet breakfast was just on the warm side not hot. Didn’t always have orange juice. Had to ask for bacon was never provided in the buffet. Coffee was so strong couldn’t drink it. Two bedroom rooms very small.
No internet access in room. The morning we were leaving no coffee or water provided to make coffee. Couldn’t make money exchange at desk. Aside from above comments staff were very accommodating.

Background noise despite being on the highest floor, was inexplicably high owing to the neighbouring hotel's generator. Putting on the AC increased this noise even further. Friday night traffic was directly emmitted into the room as the windows are poorly insulative. Breakfast included was limited in its vegetarian options and even worse in vegan. My last day, i was left without water to flush the toilet.

Despite this i must state, that every single member of staff was responsive, hard-working, friendly and helpful!

Stayed in November and the toilet broke. Thought we would give it another shot and this time the toilet leaked all over the floor and had to switch rooms. Was not as nice a room as we had in November. Feels like a old hotel that needs some major updates. For a Best Western it was disappointing that both times we stayed we had issues.

Front staff was a bit rude, they didn’t like the fact I booked through Expedia.
We didn’t use the amenities but did take a look around. The pool looked nice but nice. With beach front access.
Our rooms were ok, beds were decent.
They however were not clean. The floors were dirty, bathrooms/showers were dirty. Told the front desk but they kindove jiat shrugged it off.
They do make you have a $500
Peso CASH deposit which was not something I’m used to. I did get it back after I check out of the room and they sent someone to go check the room before letting us leave. I don’t know, it was just an uncomfortable visit. They made me feel like I was untrustworthy.

It’s a shame, the hotel has potentiom, but I wouldn’t go back just because of how the customer experience was.

The personnel of the cafeteria weren't pleasant. They were on their phone most of the time. they are too young. The food was terrible., the rooms where too dark not enough light. They don't clean the rooms every day. On our first day the bathroom floor had blood stains from before. This was my second time there, but this time was too much of a difference from before. Sorry for my comments but when I travel I like to rest in a clean place.

The coffee machine did not work. The room was not clean. Check in time was at 3 pm however, the room was not clean when we came to the room at 5:30 pm. We still had to wait 45 minutes to get it cleaned. For compensation, we got an additional 30 minutes for checking out. The nice thing was being able to leave the car parked outside with vigilance. There’s cameras everywhere.

Im not one to complain, but they did not change the sheets on the beds. Day one there was a red stain on the bed and I took off all the sheets and when I got to my room the beds were made with the same sheets! Same stain and all. I had to call twice to get new sheets. I just didn’t sleep well after that. Everything else was good.

I would not stay there again, the room was dirty, the sheets of one of the beds had blood and they changed them after two days, no towels, dirty bathroom and the tub covered with someone else's hair, extremely much fungus in the bathroom I have photos of everything and terrible attention at the front desk, I definitely want my money back, very disappointed

It was horrible they did not have the room ready literally two hours later we left because our room was not ready. They refused to give us any type of compensation for the inconvenience. All night there was noise due to construction next door and the lights from the construction site were on all night and would come in through the window. The elevator was out of service so we had to use stairs three floors up and down when we wanted to leave the room. The customer service was bad too the employees were unaffected and didn’t care.

For $77/night, I expected a lot more from this hotel. We were given a \"garden view\" room which actually faced a massive construction site that woke us up at 5 am. The room wasn't very clean and had sand everywhere. Also the bed was uncomfortable which is the worst when all you want is a good night's sleep while traveling. We tried getting some work done in the room, but the internet was nonfunctional on most of our devices. Finally, the included breakfast was okay, but I wouldn't use that as a \"value-added\" factor in booking this place. All in all, I don't recommend this hotel whatsoever. It should be re-named Worst Western.

The construction noise is unbearable as it goes through the night. There are fewer bath towels than room occupants. The shower in 403 barely trickles and the shower doors don’t close well so there is water all over the floor any time it is used. However, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean, also the breakfast buffet is very nice and there is a nice pool (much smaller than the pictures) which is also very clean and excellent access right to a beautiful beach.

Front desk clerk very critical, made me feel like im going to steel towels. Stayed in room 402 4th floor, i Had to call from room to tell staff to turn on hall way lights. The room smelled moldy, the bathroom had mold on walls and was damp. The sheets did not feel clean. The safe in room did not function. The only good thing was the breakfast.

I arrived in the afternoon, got my room and as soon as I sat down I realized there was an industrial construction site right next door! I asked to be moved to the other side considering the noise and unpleasant site next door but was told It had an extra cost! I called my representative at Hotels.com and was helped the next day. The hotel is located in a good spot lots of local stores and restaurants although the inside of the hotel was old but so.e what comfortable. It was supposed to be a week long stay good thing my representative assistant helped me with relocating!

So I booked the room for two queen beds for my parents and I about an hour and a half before arriving, that’s plenty of time for their system to reserve a room for us. Well we get there and the front desk lady says, “I just sold your room”. Ummm what? Yeah. She knew we were coming and she sold our room anyways. It turned into a huge deal and we ended up leaving because she didn’t want to accommodate us, even though it was her fault. She was rude, hateful, envious, and cold-hearted... a downright bully. there are actually 2 hotels in mazatlan named the best western posada freeman. as you can imagine this can lead to problems especially since one of them is a classic in excellent condition probably going back to the 1940's in the historical part of town and the other a nondescript property in the middle of party zone central. even worse the rates are actually higher at the zona rosa property.
in any case we booked the wrong property and when we attempted to cancel the 2nd night there were told too bad. your error, no refund for night 2 which we didn't use .. we met other guests at both properties that had exactly the same situation happen to them. we feel that this is very unfair and could have easily been avoided it the properties were identified better. parking situation is a disaster at the zona rosa don't think there is enough room for 1/2 of the guests if the hotel is full we really enjoyed the view of the gravel empty lot next door, too

Worst property ever. They charged us more than what was quoted on Expedia and refused to match the price. The room was flooded every day we would return to the room being full of water because there was a leak coming from the room above. We believed in the reviews here and in Expedia guaranteeing us the price listed here. This was clearly not the case and at least the conditions of the room would have been acceptable if there wasn’t a flood every time we returned back to our room. Classic bait and switch will never stay at this place again!! The only good thing about it was that is on the beach but once you get back from enjoying the beautiful beach and want to rest you will feel like you never left the beach because of the flood water in your own room!!! We were never offered a replacement room until the last night there. No other compensation was ever offered and the room wasn’t cheap either. Total rip off!!

There are two Best Western Posada Freemans in Mazatlan. Do not confuse the two. The original hotel is located near the historic center, has the rooftop pool/bar/restaurant plus a very good breakfast buffet. It has also been renovated and is well worth the stay. This hotel is the one in the Zona Dorada and sucks. A lot!

There is a night club right under most of the rooms that blades bass most of the night. Water pressure was terrible and the place smells. The hotel pool is nice enough, but its in the shade for most of the day. The hotel is mostly empty so breakfast is pretty dreadful. We booked it by accident, we wanted the downtown hotel, and the hotel refused to refund unused room nights.

Here's something that should tell you all you need to know about management: they charged $5 for a replacement room key..

The lobby looks nice and there's a grand piano, but it just doesn't make up for the deficiencies.

for the price being paid, you could stay next door at the Inn on the right at El cid. Ive stayed and love other BW locations but this BW is by far the smallest with only 5 rooms with the ocean view bc the rest have a very small view, the bathrooms are inconvinient that never had enough towels, there is only one super slow elevator, and the receptionist that helped us was rude. the rest of the staff was amazing!

The room was very cold and the heat didn't ever come on no matter how high we turned it. Cold air only!! Only a sheet on the bed, no blanket. Balcony faced the wrong way for an ocean view. Included breakfast fair but they never \"told\" us you could get eggs to order. Had to guess and only knew by watching others-mostly locals. Other than fruit and juice very strange buffet items. I'm half Hispanic but still wouldn't eat most of those items, especially the terrible sausage and the cold rolled ham in a so called heating dish.
The pool and pool bar were very nice but didn't get sun until late afternoon because of the building next door

Toilet over flowed they use our towels to mop up, but then left them on the floor in bathroom
So, next day asked for towels to replace ..maid said they were out...ended up getting towels night before we left...but again had to ask ..
The parking was a nightmare ...could take up to 20 minutes for them to move cars around to get your car out...
Wifi never worked ....
Other then amazing staff we will not stay here again....

Save for the noisy mechanicals, OK

Good Italian Ristorante Villa Italia right across the strret. Smallish pool, but if you get to it early, AOK. Room is large and the a/c is quiet. Avoid any room ending in 10, those rooms hover over the hotels loud mechanicals which run 24 hours a day, echoing off the nearby bigger hotel. Breakfast is very good. Fresh fruit. Desk staff was luke warm save for Humberto who was merely terrific, and unsparing in sharing his knowledge of the area and its attractions.

BAD THING... THE SHILLS AT THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL. HAVE TO RUN THE GANTLET OF CARNIE BARKERS SELLING THINGS. THEY EVEN JUMP OUT OF THEIR CARS ON CAMARON SABALO TO RUN AFTER YOU AND SHILL. BEWARE.

My wife had to go to the hospital with dehydration. IV with antibiotics. We believe it was a bad meal in their dining room, the night before. They served me a hamburger, I had to send back. It was like a pate.... Scary to look at....

Small Hotel right on the beach!

I can't say enough about the manager and staff of this facility. My group really enjoyed themselves mainly due to the customer service of the manager, Salvatore, and staff such as Gabriel and Humberto. They all went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. Truly exceptional staff.

The hotel is a two star, it needs some updates, but it is a great location - easy walking to everything and literally - the beach is RIGHT THERE!

Great hotel, but really difficult to find, as there is no sign at street level, and the address number is not displayed. We had great service from the staff, both at the check in, and also for breakfast. Good location as lots of good restaurants in the area. Bus service is right at the door, which for 7.5 Pesos takes you to the Malacolm. The door man was especially helpful.

I stayed at this hotel with my family during 3 days. The service from the people working at the hotel was very polite. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast served during the morning in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The only things that were not nice were the elevator which is small, and the towels for the swimming pool which were very few.
