Everything was really clean and everyone was very nice. I definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Mazatlan. One thing I didn't really like was the price for the breakfast and dinner buffet. We don't eat much and had to pay about $14/15 for just eggs was not it!

For a brand new building, the rooms are just blah. Zero amenities, poorly thought out and lots of issues already. Door is tough to unlock, hot water takes forever and the terrace on our room was not worth it.
Bigger reason for the poor score is the beach scene is non existent. Whoever designed this building on prime beachfront real estate should be embarrassed. Also, the pool closes at 7???? The breakfast is outrageously expensive and not worth it all. Would not recommend.

We have stayed at this hotel for 3 consecutive years since it opened. The hotel is beautiful but this year we noticed the rooms were already showing wear (we stayed in 408) . Humidity is no doubt causing problems, caulking needs to be redone, furniture marked, etc. There has been considerable personnel turnover & pool & front desk staff either have no English or didn’t understand things well. This year we stayed for 2 weeks and are still having problems trying to get reimbursed for 3 nights the hotel said (in writing) that we would not be charged for We booked thru Expedia and they have been unable to get a response from the hotel and said we must deal with them. The hotel says we must go thru Expedia. The front desk supervisor Ramon said he would arrange for accounting to reimburse, nothing happened. Try phoning the hotel direct, no response from accounting, try to talk to Ramon at front desk , he’s always busy and doesn’t return phone calls. If you have a problem while staying at the hotel, get it addressed in writing & by talking to manager before you leave. Double check your hotel invoice too as I observed another guest in dispute with charges when we were leaving

This hotel was an excellent choice! We loved the location, right in the heart of the Golden Zone. The beach out front is easily walkable, with hard packed sand. We found this hotel very quiet, whether in our room or at the poolside. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel was great! Staff are amazing. There is always water in the room. You will have to ask for face cloths as they are not in the room, but they will bring them very quickly. The drinks at the pool bar and beach are a great size and taste compared to other resorts.

Room was great! Service not good at all. Started with wifi. Front desk person said they would send someone to the room. We stayed 8 nights . On the 7th night my wifi was working. We wanted to sit on beach and have food and drinks . The resturant and hotel next door that has nothing to do with this hotel catered yo us daily . Then one day we almost were told we vould not sit on the chairs in front of our hotel . We had to prove the room we were staying at was ours in which we did. Hotel is in a very nice location and very clean. They need doneone to come in and show them how catering to their clients could make them much more money! The sraff next door looked for us each day

Room need some wall cleaning black spots/stains all over the room walls and bathrooms. staff was helpful but on the 3 day we had an incident with the security on site my daughter came back to hotel to use restroom and security didn't let her in because she had no yellow bracelet to identify her as a guest...we never got one and had no issues since day 1. Went to front desk and said it was there fault for not giving us one at the time of check in we got one and everything else went well.

Be aware it can be extremely noisy on weekends due to the area around the property. Excellent views from the bedroom and right on the beach should you prefer the beach to the pool. This might be a Marriott property but definitely not the customer service of a Marriott, unless this is the new normal within the chain. No customer service what so ever from check in to check out, our room was late at check in by an hour no help to take luggage to our room no instructions as to how the elevator system function at the mazatlan properly and you are definitely better off purchasing drinks outside the property because body is manning the bar area at the pool or elsewhere very understaffed property along with an absurd amount of noise from the Banda music that can play well into the night. Beware this is not a Marriott quality property.
