The romes is a pretty small, the stuff is extra ordinary, they help you in every way they can, and very personal with all the dishes you have. At breakfast we still have an egg Benedict where the sauce hollandaise is made fresh, I think that’s one of the last hotels where this is happening, delicious

Wonderfull luxury hotel with excellent staff and service. Turndown at night is accompanied by local fruit and pastry treats. Beautifully appointed throughout and the Elephant Bar is a must. An ideal place to come home to after a hard day’s sightseeing at Angkor. We’ll remember it with pleasure.

There is a lot of high end choice right now in Siem Reap and visitor numbers are not yet at their pre Covid highs. So it’s intriguing the room rates are as high as they are and climbing. To justify the hotels need to stay ahead and on second visit not sure that’s the case at this hotel. So all in all not the greatest value for money.

The service is superb and the pool is epic. Definitely recommend dining on the terrace one evening. The rooms and hotel are old school in design but the pool is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The rooms were well appointed and a good size but the bathrooms were very small for a luxury hotel . Secondly the mixers did not work so it was a struggle to get warm water !!! The team could not fix this . We took two rooms in the old wing and they both had this problem . Staff was kind but could not grasp that there was major Techinal issue with either the cold water or the hot water pressure which in turn affected the mixer form operating normally . Also pressure in the shower was poor . They need to have a Hydroneumatic system to get the full effect in the old wing .
The food and beverage was superb . Lovely atmosphere and the food and beverage staff was good . Prices are high but the quality was very good . Airport transfers are exhobriant. A one way surprise transfer was 150 dollars when the room rate we paid was 260 dollars per night . I mean in comparison to the room rate this was excessive . On the return we got a grab taxi for 60 dollars . So don’t book airport transfers through the hotel .

Maybe my new favorite hotel

I had a very short time for a trip to Siem Reap after a business trip to Vietnam and was looking for a hotel that would feel safe for a solo traveler, convenient for a quick trip and feel like a vacation. Raffles did not disappoint. The service was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, the food is delicious and the shops are hard to resist. Even on an extremely hot day, I enjoyed a few hours at the pool between tours. I only wish I had been able to stay longer. I think this may be my new favorite hotel anywhere. It’s luxurious with all of the modern conveniences while also highlighting the culture and artisans of Cambodia.

Wow - this hotel was over the top - service staff - pool facilities and excellent dining quality - it’s not a cheap place to stay - and one does struggle with a luxury colonial outpost amid the general population that is at subsistence - but it’s clear tourism is something Cambodia needs - tip generously as it will go father in their pockets than yours - we just loved staying here - I was in the pool until the last minute before leaving to airport - probably the top 3 pool I have ever seen as it’s huge and clean - good proximity to Angor Wat and temples - staff are wonderful from arrival to end - the historical vignettes on the pillow each night along with sweets and turned down bed was so interesting - the sheets are best I have ever slipped into - would like to buy a set to take home - bathrooms are retrofit from original to be modern, and the old style luxury was a unique experience. See temples in morning - spend the rest of day at the pool - the pineapple juice was outstanding along with pool service. We loved sitting in the piano bar in evening listening to the pianist. So many fine details maintained from wonderful flower arrangements to room service that tidies up several times a day - this experience was one I hope to take in again.

This Hotel was like a dream. I loved every second of my stay here. It was extreme luxury with a yesteryear feel to it. The staff were amazing. So happy, kind, friendly and always happy to chat and help in any way they could. The room was one of the best rooms I have ever had in a hotel. It really was like sleeping on a cloud in the massive bed. I felt like a king! I genuinely had a tear in my eye when I left! I’ve never experienced this type of luxury at such a low price.

Even though I was told it’s just been renovated Grand hotel d’Angkor still has all the trapping of a 1930’s historic hotel such as the original wooden lift which really makes you fell like you’ve been transported back in time.

The staff were also excellent and really made you feel like family.

Although it’s expensive is still think the hotel offers unbelievable value for money for the quality you are getting for the price (£1000 a night hotels in London are not as good as this place).

The one thing I would is the breakfast could be a bit better, the bread and sausages were not up to the high standards of everything else at the hotel.

I highly recommend staying at raffles in Siem Reap, it is an outstanding property, amazing service by all employees at the hotel, they are so service oriented and would be there to help at all times. The faculties at the hotel are amazing, great bars, restaurants and pool facilities. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the most polite and friendliness people you will ever meet, a particular shout out to Theary who was always there to assist us and organised tours and guidance on Siem Reap. We were had an amazing experience at this hotel as a result of the beautiful Cambodian people, we loved every minute and will return one day.

This was a unique hotel with an Old World & Cambodian charm & hospitality. The staff was excellent from Pat Sambo the concierge who took care of all our curated tours, etc., to the morning yoga with Yoga teacher Manuela, to Chantha who was always helpful especially when we were using the really cool elevators, and the wait staff at the 1932 Khmer cuisine restaurant. The room manager Rey Moraga whose welcome & hospitality was bar none. Plus, our excellent tour guide Kun Sophal who was bilingual English and Spanish. She was trés, trés cool & chill! I highly recommend this hotel - its the best in Siem Reap!

We spent 2 nights at this beautiful property at the end of a 3-week trip to the region.

Right from the greeting as we arrived outside the hotel to the moment we left for the airport, the service was fantastic - professional and friendly.
We felt the hotel really valued our custom and went the extra mile on more than one occasion.

The room was beautiful and the macaroons on the second afternoon were extremely welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Singapore Sling making masterclass and time in the Elephant Bar generally.

My only regret is that we were so busy that we didn't get around to swimming in the superb looking pool.

Exquisite building and décor... so elegant and sober.
Unfortunately, had a very unpleasant event the first night due to a horrible bang I the ceiling (every 4 to 8 min) due to a problem with the AC. I went there for the Half Marathon and needed to go to bed early as the run was the next day and had to wake up at 3:45am... they changed my room at around 11:45 and managed to get some sleep before the run... luckily I did very good at the race and had a good timing. Next day they changed me to another room, a much bigger one, but it was a bit run down and not very clean as the previous one. The tub was clogged and the boll had yellow stains, the Remote did not work either and the TV was very old. However, they did the best they could do. But the stay did not go seamless, sadly.

Beautifully remodeled hotel. New restaurants, new lobby, new room. Food was great at the cafe. However, terrible food at the signature Khmer restaurant 1932. What are they thinking by making the fusion Khmer dishes tasting so bland? The Khmer sweet and sour soup was cold because they poured the soup into a big cold plate of cut tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and black cod with caviar. They also poured curry sauce into a big cold plate of ingredients and ruined the taste. Hope they would stop reinventing and destroying these delicious Khmer dishes.

Overall a great stay at Raffles

Raffles is a beautiful place to stay and the service is lovely. The only drawback for me was that my male partner was addressed primarily by staff (i.e in preference to me) despite the fact that I was the person who had booked and paid for the stay. It felt a bit archaic that the male would be addressed in preference to the female in a couple, although I do concede that this was not Raffles specific but occurred right across Cambodia during our trip.

The hotel is extremely well located.

I was very impressed with the breakfast pack for early mornings when you want to visit the temples at say, 5:00 a.m. Do make use of them.

Pool was great and pleasant.

The room slightly dated but nothing material. Still comfortable.

A good hotel, well placed but consider two issues.

The hotel is well located, near the old Chinatown. You will not be able to walk from this hotel other than just few hundred metres to visit the National Mosque.

The room was nice and well kept. Check-in was easy.

I found two annoying things:

1. Since you rely on taxis, the hotel has not got a system (light flashing, signals, speakers, etc.) which calls you a taxi from the road. You have to hail yourself which may be annoying and time consuming. You may have to wait 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

2. The swimming pool is not great and does not get sun after 1:00 p.m. If you are thinking about sunbathing in the afternoon you will not be able to do so here. It is a poor pool without garden. The views are great but it feels small and is usually packed with families and children. Not ideal if on your holidays you require a decent pool to relax.

Leaving aside these two points, I thought the hotel was good.

We had a great time! This hotel has a very friendly staff all over in all the areas.
I liked the most the tipe of decoration according to the old times even the elevator conserved!
The food in the different buffets very complete and delicious with great vegan options.
Enjoyed the show at night, great performance and costumes and music from the country; the dinner was delicious; great pho soup!
The room was comfirtable with terrace view to the swimming pool!
Great boutiques but high prices, go to the local market!
The bathroom quite reduced but ok! Would like better shower!!Comfirtable beds and great room service !
The spa very nice and great options of treatments, prices all right.
Tha bar has a wonderful pianist that made a great night amazing,

Amazing hotel, a must to check off ur bucket list

Stunning hotel and renovation of a beautiful old building. It's like stepping back to 1930's with all the mod cons. the original gilged lift still works. The lounge area is stunning. I felt like I was in a Agatha Christie book. The afternoon tea is too for for. The service is impeccable. The staff are lovely. The gym is good. The pool and gardens are like a English manor garden. We did not stay more than ,1 night as we felt we had to dress up to leave the room. If u r like me and like to wear shorts and chill on holiday, u may feel a bit out of sort. If u love dressing up enjoy this amazing hotel

Beautiful luxury hotel with outstanding service and tour guide. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. Took prepaid taxi at Siem Reap Airport to hotel with no problem. Very good location next to Khmer National Museum and just a few minutes from the Angkor Archaeological Park with Angkor Wat. Everyone spoke English and were very kind to tourists. Excellent buffet breakfast. You can take a two-hour flight non-stop from Singapore directly to Siem Reap to get there.

Nice but failing to keep up with competition

Raffles is behind in terms of providing guests with what they want. There is almost no outdoor space to have drinks/meals except a tiny terrace next to the main building. While the hotel remains pleasant, it is lacking that little something to make stays special. Most guests wants to spend quite a lot of time outdoors and Raffles is just not listening to them. They do not set up any tables to dine by the pool for example, and if you ask (as I did), they did not take it as a serious request.

The best of old world charm

If you want high speed lifts and shiny new marble don't stay here. If you want the very best in old world charm and hospitality them thesis your place. Built in 1929 according to the plaque I am sure that most of the tile on the walls and floors were original but immaculately kept. The staff were amazing and so friendly. They remembered everything we ordered from day one and when we came down for a drink or breakfast we barely needed to ask.

A divine retreat after exploring the spectacular temples and the steamy hustle and bustle of the streets. Loved the pool, the Elephant bar and the friendly attentive staff.

Nice hotel

It's a nice hotel, nice ambience, really good food, super service.
I stayed at the main building which was built many years ago ( I was aware of that and I chose that building) but you can hear everything so I didn't like it. Otherwise everything was great!

Good location surrounded by well kept gardens. The staff somehow remember your name all the time, amazing. Elephant Bar a nice stop for a cocktail after climbing around the temples

A beautiful hotel with lovely accommodation.
The swimming pool was the best we have experienced on our travels. Warm, clean water. Our first night was a bit of a disaster. We didn't have the room we had requested.
It was near a main road so quite noisy. The hotel was full so they could not move us.
That evening we were offered a glass of complimentary champagne with our dinner.
The following day we were upgraded to a suit for our last two nights. We were also allowed a late check out, 4pm, on the day of our departure. Truly a wonderful hotel with excellent staff and service.

I really enjoyed this hotel. I have to be honest. If you're young, there's not live music or anything playing by the pool. If you're older and want to relax, it's perfect. I think the young crowd will enjoy it differently than the adults. But it's really such a large resort with pool area done properly you can have your own play time/piece of heaven, while you're family and friends are at the same amenity but far enough for privacy. If you can afford the high price tag, I say it's worth it. I would rate it at the top of my list of hotels ever stayed in. Three thumbs up if I had three thumbs.

Classic elegance with some history

Wonderful visit. Awe inspiring temples by day, should only be done in a tuk tuk! Forget the buses and taxis. Tuk Tuk's bring a relaxed approach. Retreat to the elegance of the hotel and enjoy the wonderful pool and service!

Worth the stay.

Enjoyed our three nights stay, courteous and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds and big pool. Only the walls are paper thin and can hear flushing toilets and corridor noise... However after a long day exploring Beautiful Angkor Wat, tired and after a good meal and some wine slept well in the comfortable beds.

Colonial splendor in Siem Reap.

Wonderful colonial hotel located right across from the royal gardens. A five minute tuktuk ride away from Pub Street and the mass of restaurants. The hotel is located in a slightly quieter part of Siem Reap, which is very pleasant to retire to after a long day.

While the property dates from the 1920s, the rooms are well-maintained and there are nice little touches (like USB charging ports at the desk) that have helped it into the modern age. The bed is comfortable, shower has high pressure, and overall it was a very comfortable stay. The air-con in the room has a tendency to make the room very cold, but depending on what you've been doing outside this can be a great relief.

The Elephant Bar does a good job with their cocktails, and it provides a sense of romance while drinking and thinking about the past luminaries that have stayed at the hotel.
