Very Horrible place to live for comfort

There was a smell of smoking in the room, blood on bathroom floor, toilet roll was tiny, duvet was very dirty. I booked two nights, but I was able to manage one night as I had no choice to sleep there for the next day to book another one. When I informed the receptionist of my experience, he did not care to know as he was on the phone smiling. Very horrible experience. A lot of noises everywhere and drilling.

WORST hotel in Bournemouth

I have been staying in Bournemouth 3-4 times every year for the last 30 years and this is definitely the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in

Night 1: Our flight was delayed - rang hotel numerous times - no answer
Got to hotel - no-one in reception - front door locked - nobody about - 2 guests entered hotel at midnight (they had keys)and we followed them into foyer
We stayed in foyer until 3am - somebody appeared in reception and we got key to our room
Night 2: People asleep on couch in foyer area
Night 3: Returned to hotel at 22.30 - our key for front door did NOT work - luckily there was someone in reception area - heard us knocking and let us in
The Wi-Fi did not work
The duvets were filthy
Carpet was filthy
3 star hotel - seriously??
The shower had hot water sometimes
There was a nice gentleman on reception when we were leaving on Monday morning - the only positive aspect to our whole stay

Average but overpriced for what it offered

We didn’t have any toilet paper replaced . The tv remote was broken . The hallway had a very strong tobacco smell and the lift was broken so going up and down was a nightmare

If you like the dirty crack den feel this is the hotel for you.

My gf said it was worse the the 1* 18-30 holiday to kavos she went on in 2001.

It was that bad one of our party who was staying left and rebooked another hotel .

And I am still awaiting a refund.

We found a syringe rapper in our bathroom one of the rooms still had food on the floor from the guest before.

The beds look like they had been knocked up in a year 7 wood work class out if MDF and were all different heights .

The rooms had a strong smell of wet cat 🐈

If I could leave a -5 star I would I can see me having to contact the back to get my refund as it was promised before leaving and I am still waiting now .....

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, although the hotel needs updating and redecorating. The rooms were very standard, we booked 5 rooms. Some rooms had bedside tables others didn’t and some you could just get in due to the beds being right near to the door. The showers were changeable in temperature one minute hot then freezing the next... overall it was ok for what we wanted

All 4 beds was sunk in the middle, I didn’t have one night of rest, very uncomfortable. Hard to find parking. Small hotel. The only thing I liked was the complementary coffee and tea. The shower had scolding hot water, couldn’t get the temp to work. I didn’t respond to the knock on my door, the cleaning person opened the door anyways to clean. I was in my towel. I suggest you take all valuables with you before to leave the room, and on with your day. But for the price I would stay but not with any valuables items.

It was the worst hotel l ever been in my life, the staff is awful , the place was very noisy l even couldn’t sleep, l have to come twice to the reception at midnight and at 3 o’clock in the morning to complain cause we couldn’t sleep but they didn’t care , the worst was in the morning when we left no one say sorry or thank you for staying with us, l feel like animals left the hotel , for the price l payed this is unacceptable

Uncomfortable bed
Shower has no pressure in it
Thin walls so could hear guests in adjacent rooms talking
Non smoking hotel but several guests were smoking out of the window. This place shouldn’t be on Hotels.com as it’s absolutely appalling. It’s more like a hostel for travellers with no respect for others

Ok - spacious room, carpet needed a better hoover, toilet wobbly! Mattresses bottomed out, noisy road outside. Guy that checked us in very friendly. Didn’t try the breakfast. But for £38 for a triple room and somewhere to sleep it did the job

You get what you pay for

Service was great and there’s nothing wrong with the staff as they were absolutely lovely, the issue was only with the neighbouring room to us as the person was incredibly noisy and no one did anything. I and my partner were too scared to leave our room all night to go and complain because the person would leave the room and shout in the corridors then go shout in the room. I was surprised nothing was done as the hotel makes you sign a rules lost and one of them is that if there are noise complaints or you are loud then you could get kicked out.

In the end, we got what we payed for, a lovely room in a great location with a person in a room next door that wouldn’t let us sleep.

We checked in on time however there is a little bit of delay in our room but no hassle as we sat in the lobby and the room was cleaned enough a bit outdated on the carpet side but no big deal.The room was clean, toilet was clean, the only thing we noticed are there are smudges on one of the seat and the upper bunk bed mattress. Perhaps those need changing but we didn’t moan as we are not there for long. The only thing I can commend is the toilet; it was clean enough for me to be able to sit on the toilet and it was the most important thing for me.Breakfast was ok since there was a few people checked in and the dining area I guess was shared by two hotels so the hot counters were always empty. But we had our portions which was ok enough. The staff mostly the kitchen and housekeeping worked hard enough on those days we were there, the housekeeping I was surprise they do it everyday. They gave us 2 days of clean towel but not on the last day but I don’t know if that’s the norm. There were some people in the garden on our last night which kept my husband awake as he is a light sleeper. But me and my children slept well. I think I may give this hotel an OK spot to stay in Bournemouth as it is a nice seaside place. However, there will always be room for either renovation or improvements.Thank you we enjoyed Bournemouth...

Sewer smell in room made me feel sick!

Appauling and disgusting. My room which was more like a cupboard had a disgusting putrid smell like someone that had bad guts had just taken a fresh dump. Run down dirty. No wifi.
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is by far the worst and that is no exaggeration. Terrible really terrible.

Very tired hotel looks nothing like the photos on the internet. Breakfast was a scrum and the serving area was very dirty with visible dirt on the floor. Room had wallpaper older than us and obviously hadn’t been decorated since the smoking ban came in force as you could smell the old smoke not recommended

Great location, nice room and friendly staff!

Location is perfect, 5 min walk to the beach and local bus stop.
Breakfast was nice, cereal, toast, juice, tea/coffee and hot food.
Staff were really friendly on the desk, you leave your key when you go out.

Room was nice and pretty clean.
Only issue was the shower, it would be really hot then really cold.

I would stay again.

Hotel was a waste of time

Hotel was ok but the service from staff was terrible... waited all day for a key to my room, couldn't get in. Had to go to reception for them to get u to your room as u can't use the master key!
The TV was crap no subtitles.
Offered to give me 2 days free breakfast?! ....Errrrrr......I paid for the bloody thing!!
Gave me abother room after 24 hours, except to wait half hour as toilet was blocked!!!
What a nightmare!

Better than expected

I stayed in this hotel over the May bank holiday. It seems to me that many hotels in Bournemouth think that they can charge the most outrageous fees for this bank holiday period.
I happened to be at a convention and was not prepared to pay these stupid rates so I looked for a cheap hotel. I found this on Expedia at a reasonable rate and then looked at its reviews. The reviews were a bit 'iffy' but for the price I took a chance as I was only going to be there for 2 nights.
The room was small but clean and reasonably maintained as was the shower-room. The breakfast was a buffet and was substantial. It was only a short walk to the BIC where I was attending the convention. All very handy and at a reasonable price. I would go there again.

Ok for price

Location up the road (steep climb from centre). About a 5 to 10 minute walk to centre. Parking is free around the streets but imagine this gets very busy at weekends and holiday times. We fluked as someone was just leaving when we arrived about 5pm but not until we had driven around various times looking for a space. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Rooms basic and shower a trickle of water. Tea and coffee facilities in room good.
