Booked sea view room and was not disappointed. Well proportioned clean room with fridge. Pleased to see two chairs in the room (stays in other hotels have one) so we could sit and watch the sea and relax. Shout out to Maggie who checked us in who was excellent. Was impressed whilst waiting to check in with other reception staff who kept their cool whilst obviously having to deal with difficult guests. Keeping their smiles was impressive. Did not eat at hotel but did at Harry Rock which was excellent plus the Thai restaurant around the corner from the hotel which was also very good. Would definitely stay again off season. Thank you for a great stay.

We love staying here. Would like to say a very big thank you to Maggie on the reception desk who recognised us from last months stay. Maggie made us feel very welcome. This time we stayed in a cottage room 506 newly refurbished. Lovely upstairs room with a sea view. Spacious and comfy. Could do with some peppermint tea in room.Great location to stay for the BIC literally a five min walk.
Good nights sleep. Great powerful shower. Breakfast is a must. Lots of choice and good quality food.
Highly recommend 👌

No heat in room, had to ask for water, no breakfast provided. Check out time was 11am due to notice that electricity issue had to be rectify or something like that. Felt trapped in the hotel while trying to find our way out via stairs which was not easy to locate.

Stayed here lots . This time were were unfortunate to be put in a room which wasnt cleaned properly. Staff were amazing and moved us to one of the newly refurbished cottages . Absolutely gorgeous room. Came back very late from an event at the Pavilion to find the carpet soaked the air conditioning unit had leaked. Staff were amazing again and moved us just next door to an ocean view suite. Wow. Slept well. Breakfast was delicious as usual. We were refunded our parking and half our stay for all the inconvenience we had been caused. Wont stop us staying here again. These things happen.

I stayed in January 2026. The room was very old and tired. There was a hole in the ceiling and watermarks and stains on the wall. The room was congested and cramped. I was very disappointed with the standard, it was not at all what I expected. The hotel staff were very unhelpful and did not approve a refund request when I chose to leave and not stay. Very poor for the Marriot. Would not recommend at all, please choose from the range of other hotels and apartments in Bournemouth.

Overall this is a pleasant, modern and clean hotel with good sea views and helpful staff, but several practical issues meant the stay was not completely seamless.
Check-in took longer than expected because the two booked rooms did not initially appear under a single reservation, though this was eventually resolved. The connecting rooms differed in size, with 200 larger than 201, and there was limited in-room and in-hotel information, with an incomplete website replacing a proper hotel or local area guide.
Room 200 had no real hot water at the basin. The shared air vent transmitted sound clearly between the two rooms, compromising privacy. Room 201 lacked direct temperature controls, and neither bathroom had a heated towel rail, which is inconvenient when the hotel encourages towel reuse.
On-site parking costs £15 per night and the car park feels very tight and often full, so manoeuvring requires caution. The compact 24/7 gym is ok but has no rowing machine and would feel crowded with more than four people.

Brasserie Blanc was a highlight: Justin offered excellent service and very accommodating. The steaks were very good.
The outdoor pool and potential for sea views are strong assets, though the pool is closed in autumn and winter although a heated winter pool would be a great idea - as would a sea-view sauna.

Overall, this hotel can provide a comfortable night at a reasonable price with a sea view, and a return visit is possible, though not guaranteed, given the above

We park in disable bay that was reserved for us when we went out that evening we were told to put a comb on the place so people new it was reserved but when we came back someone had moved the comb and parked there. They had a disabled badge in the vehicle but they hid the date so I guess it was out of date . We informed the people at the hotel they did try to call who the vehicle belonged to but they didn’t answer the phone so they sorted another space outside the hotel. There was 7 of us 3 was disabled and one was 7 months pregnant.
The rooms we had was good. The only complaint was the parking

Staff very nice. Room clean with nise sea view as advertised. Wife is a Blue Badge holder and they reserved a parking space for us. Only gripe is it's supposed to be a 4 star hotel but it didn't have a Smart TV. I brought this up and the receptionist apologised and said they were in the process of upgrading the TVs to SMART, but were currently doing the unoccupied rooms. Otherwise would've given 5 stars for our experience.

Last minute booking. Hotel was really busy and parking was a nightmare. However, the Reception staff were very helpful in suggesting local car parks to try.
We had a family room - it was very comfortable and had everything that we wanted. Public areas were cosy and welcoming.
This is our new favourite place to stay in Bournemouth.

We asked for two glasses of tap water from bar but no plastic glasses?? The same bar, different staff member, gave us a glass the next day with no issue at all. No veggie option for sandwiches on the menu and bar staff refused to ask chef if it was possible.

We had a beach view room - truly one of the best views we’ve had at a hotel before. I stayed with my partner and our dog. It was a trip for my birthday - I put this on the booking and when we got to the room they had put out complementary drinks, snacks and a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it with chocolate with a few chocolate dipped strawberries and a red velvet cupcake - a lovely touch! Overall a lovely hotel. However two things to note - dogs aren't allowed in all rooms - I called ahead to check before booking and was told dogs are allowed in all rooms, so booked a sea view room. I called to see if we could have the same room for both the nights we stayed (we used vouchers so had to make two bookings) and then just checked that the dog was also on the booking. This is how I found out that dogs in fact are only allowed in certain rooms. The hotel did honour the booking after discussion (I told them I was told we could stay in any room). Secondly, it’s £15 per day for parking (and we were told this was a discounted price) which I think is extortionate - I think parking should be included in the room price. Would stay again, but a few things to be aware of for future bookings!

This was our 4th stay here we always stay when visiting Bournemouth. Clean room offered a sea view very efficient welcoming staff. Don’t tend to eat in hotel as cheaper options in town. On this occasion we did think choice of tea and coffee in room less than we have had previously.

Bar service on Saturday night was very slow and the bar person couldn’t even manage please and thank you.

A huge disappointment. Was quite pricey and very busy. Put in a cottage room which was freezing cold, not as clean as you’d expect in a Marriott and very poor soundproofing. So cold I could not sleep - very meagre bedding. Cheeky for over £200 quid a night. All this made worse by when I raised these issues the next day having really dire customer service. When I pushed things they tried their best but only gave me a 50% refund which didn’t really cover it for me as I ended up paying over a ton for a cold, dirty room and getting no sleep. I’d avoid this hotel until they’ve worked out the basics

Reception was of a good quality, sadly the rest of the hotel looked tired, and really 30 years out f date, Breakfast was good, disappointed that I had to purchase a Quality \"Americano Coffee\" from the bar, restaurant coffee was shockingly poor, typically to what you would get at an old department store 20 years ago.

It's a real pity as the building is in a prime area overlooking the amazing beach, idea for a 5 star hotel. People would pay more myself included for an amazing hotel experience.

A good example is The Grand Hotel in Lytham St Annes. not the cheapest place to stay but memorable experience, and customers return over and over again.

We were disappointed by the hotel. It’s not particularly warm and inviting. We booked a suite so we would have a good base in the event of poor weather. The suite was large but had no drawer space for clothes. It was not a welcoming space.
We enjoyed breakfast and found staff to be friendly. We also enjoyed evening meals in Brasserie Blanc and the Thai restaurant next door.
We left a day early despite the loss of money.

Terrible - will never go back or go to a Marriot!

It has to be the worse stay in a hotel in a long while and it wasn’t a cheap hotel! We arrived and drove around the hotel for a full hour as the carpark was full. Ended up in a multi story 10 mins walk away. When we arrived for check in we have to queue for 10 mins to check in. We’d booked a delux cottage room which we found could only be reached by walking through the carpark down an industrial carpark ramp. The outside door of the ‘cottage’ was scruffy and badly maintained along with the inner door to our room. When we opened the door there was a loud noise in the room which turned out to be a very old air conditioning unit. Not only was it unbearably noisy but it didn’t do the job intended and the room was boiling. There were no plugs sockets by the beds and only one socket that we had to share for charging. The bathroom was scruffy and in need of a paint and had a weird old fashioned shower curtain so made you feel like you were in student digs. No thought on furniture - the chair in front of the dressing table was too low to see yourself in the mirror when doing makeup. Breakfast was a disaster.Food was flat cold. Coffee and tea took 15 mins to arrive and when it did crockery dirty. No glasses for juice for the 40mins we were there. No side plates for toast so was eating toast from a saucer. No teaspoons so had the use a desert spoon. Loads of tables empty but dirty plates still sat on them. Staff were quite rude. It was a terrible experience from start to finish!

We go put in the cottage’s away from the main hotel, I booked a room in the main hotel so not sure why we was in the cottage’s, it wasn’t great, not what was shown online, the breakfast was really good, best thing about the stay, then we was also charged £30 for parking, also they have taken £100 from my debit card for extra charges and all I had to pay is for the parking but the £70 has not been refunded to my account, good location but wouldn’t stay there again

Very high situation to the beach..the lift to access the beach was not working..we have to go down and up walking a horrible sloppy ramp..
If you have knee problems ,don't go unless the lift is working.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, the staff were very attentive and always happy to help, the bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I ever slept in! We paid extra for sea view and didn’t disappoint, it was absolutely stunning to just wake up to the sound of waves and nothing but sea in sight. The breakfast buffet was nice, and the outdoor pool area a lovely addition- I would definitely stay there again!

Not up to Marriott standards in general but was told it has transferred ownership to some investment company. Parking charge was a surprise at £12 per night and the outside company handling the property often send fines when the payment has been made at reception. Breakfast not bad value at £24 per night per couple. Wouldn’t go again.

We stayed for one night, sofa bed not comfy and slept the whole night uncomfortable. We found used towels in the room and we put them outside near the door for collection.
I am not sure what exactly happened on my booking because I understand I booked a family room including breakfast as I always book breakfast when travelling with children. To my surprise I was told there is no breakfast booked and the total amount for the room was different from what I booked. I had to pay for breakfast separately.

We enjoyed a nice few days in this peaceful hotel which had everything we needed. We particularly chose this hotel for its close proximity to the chair lift down the cliff to the beach ,giving a flat walkway along the beach and then back up using the lift.. Due to a landslip this lift was out of action which severely curtailed our access to the main part of Bournemouth. Due to mobility issues it was necessary to take a taxi to and from the hotel. Sadly this means we would not book this hotel again.

The room was spacious and comfortable with partial sea views. Bed very comfortable and large king size. Housekeeping was excellent.
The food at breakfast was not up to standard. Food on buffet not replenished and luke warm.
