We literally can't wait to go back. The location is absolutely perfect, the pool is awesome and the staff really lovely.

The only thing that detracts is the 4pm check in which they seem to stick to, very rigidly. (Though our visit was during the heatwave of June so understandable if the rooms were taking longer to get ready).

The cottage we stayed in was gorgeous and the complimentary minibar a lovely touch.

In general a lovely experience however if you want breakfast and haven’t booked it as part of the room make sure it order it when you check in for all the nights you are there. It’s also cheaper.

Unfortunately we only wanted it for the second morning and went to book it the night before only to be told we couldn’t, we weren’t told that by reception staff when we checked in that you had to book for all the nights you were staying. Consequently they missed out on our money which we spent elsewhere.

The room was very clean and spacious. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd, with us having to walk across the back parking lot to access the wing our room was in. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for the beach and pier, with one of the public lifts located right outside the front, which takes you down the cliff for a small fee. We did have one oddity, upon check-in our room wasn’t ready, so I took my 3 year old to the pool while we waited, but was told we weren’t allowed to access it until our room was ready… I have stayed at hotels all over the world and never heard of not being able to access the hotel amenities on the day of check-in. This was quite annoying. All in all it was a nice little getaway, just not as accommodating as other hotels I have been to, especially in the Marriott family, I would have expected better.

We booked the hotel for a short break for our 10th wedding anniversary.

The room exceeded our expectations and it looked much better then the pictures online.

The restaurant was excellent, so was the outdoor swimming pool.

The only thing that wasn't great was a corporate party taking place underneath our room which we were not told about at the point of booking.

When I called reception I was told the party would finish at 23.00 which it didn't. When we called again we were told it would finish at midnight and it did.

When you pay for a premium stay you expect a premium stay and unfortunately it did not deliver across the board. It is a shame as the facilities and staff were excellent.

The property is out dated needing a new coat of paint and updating the furniture and decor in General.parking one's car is a nightmare as the parking is run by a company not linked to the hotel
The luch bar food was very bad and over price ,I had a beef baguette which was tough and unapetising, the food in the evenig was very good I understand the catering is run by a different company called BLANC which sounds French however it is inconvenient to have to pay eachtime you went to a catering outlet as usually the bill is put to your room to settle at the end of your stay
the service staff is very willing but short in numbers and untrained with no supervision
I had a drink in the bar and was constantily disturbed by noises of empting bottles being bined
The reception staff were the only one looking professionel and helpfull
the restaurant staff had no uniform ad looked rather shaby
Prices are very high for what you get and I would not recommend the hotel however the view over the sea was spectacular

Spent 3 nights at this hotel had a sea view room 207 which was lovely. Parking at the back of hotel £15 per night on a first come first serve basis, friendly staff. Rooms cleaned every day and coffee tea and milk topped up plus water in the fridge. Hand wash lotion shampoo conditioner in room.A 10 minute walk down to the pier which has a large hill to walk back up. Very central. The hotel has a lovely breakfast with a lot of variety friendly waitresses , if wanting to stay in the hotel the drinks are reasonably priced. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening as we liked to try different places which was worth doing .well worth try Harry Ransom’s fish and chips.Tourist information near the pier to give advice. Would highly recommend exploring outside hotel but you could always use a taxi instead of walking up the hill. If we ever went back to Bournemouth we would use this hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful — even though we arrived at midnight, they still did their best to help us find a parking space and guide us to our room. Very impressive service! We went as two families during Easter weekend. The staff were great! The hotel is in an ideal location, right on the seafront and within minutes of Bournemouth pier, which was great for us as we had lots planned in the area.

The only down side was the breakfast on our second morning, there was a bit of a chaotic feel as the hotel was at full capacity, the staff seemed a little frazzled. There was no food in the buffet when we headed down at 10am, which was ridiculous as there was still an hour of service to go, so we had to stand around waiting for the food to be replenished. We heard quite a few people around us complaining about having waiting 15 mins for pancakes and eggs… then the tables were not being cleaned quickly inbetween so there was a long queue waiting to be seated. When we were, the area around our table was very dirty. They definitely needed more staff if they knew they were at full capacity.

Other than this, we had a great stay. The hotel had put on some fun activities for the children for Easter and there was a hot chocolate station all weekend which the kids loved. The rooms were super clean too and very spacious. We loved our stay and recommended it to our friends who then went the following weekend and had an equally great time.

Return visit. The view is amazing, the staff are great, the bar is cool. The TV had been updated with Netflix. Best hotel in Bournemouth in that price range, in most part due to the constant level of maintenance and peacefulness. Only a short stroll to the pier and shops, by the road or along the top of the beach! Gorgeous.

Beautiful property with the best ocean view, in a classic old building. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. It is on a hill above Bournemouth, so accessing the town means walking up and down a steep hill. This was not a problem for us, but something to consider if you have mobility issues.

Parking is limited, and if the car park is full, you'll need to leave you car in a municipal car park nearby. If you want a space close to the hotel, you can pay up to £48 for twenty-four hours! This wasn't ideal, but we managed. The hotel was lovely and clean, and the room we stayed in was excellent. Our check-in was soured by staff questioning what we'd booked and trying to push us to stay in the garden rooms. We booked the King Suite with our dog. The hotel was advertised as dog-friendly. We arrived, and they tried to offer us a stay in the garden room instead. They told us that we should have contacted the hotel directly to obtain consent for bringing our dog. We'd already contacted their customer services team to check, and they told us not to contact the hotel. We were told that there was an additional fee of £45 for our dog to stay, as they'd need to get the room cleaned afterwards. We paid the fee. We were again asked about staying in the garden room. I told them that we will stay in the room we paid for, and they finally relented. We had a lovely stay in the room, so when we checked out in the morning, we asked about booking again, only to be told, flatly, that dogs are not allowed in the hotel. This is contradictory, as if dogs aren't allowed to stay, why would you need an option to pay a supplementary fee of £45? They told us we could only stay again if it was in one of the garden rooms. Frustrated, we left without booking again.

Swapped out sea view room, sadly, but hotel had an old world charm and the hottest swimming pool I've ever been in. That's not necessarily a good thing unless you're someone that doesn't want to swim and then you're fine. Staff were warm and welcoming, lots of flash cars on the driveway. Really liked the look of the rooms by the pool. Breakfast was a bit busy and staff a little frazzled but pleasant. The wallpaper in the bar was amazing. Wonderful location, the higher the floor the better - if you're put on the first floor (like us) and not given the room you're booked, then you're clearly not an A-lister... :-). Room was wonderful.

Good breakfast general staff (bar restaurant etc) excellent. However front desk inefficient & duty manager CALLUM was rude & dismissive . With that attitude he has no future in hotel management. Front desk were super efficient in taking unauthorised payments from credit cards but not so good in refunding!! Hotel overall appearance tired in need of redecorating throughout.
Large cracks in outside walls. This is probably due from recent cliff face collapse.

Not up to Marriott standard & would not stay again. Overall not an enjoyable holiday.

Room was clean (although there was a half eaten pizza from the last guests that the cleaners missed and was there throughout our stay), the basic service was great breakfast was good and staff were helpful and friendly. The view from the bar and restaurant was great. As it was a special occasion we had paid extra to upgrade the room and were a bit disappointed with that. We paid for a signature sea view room and while we did have a sea view all we could see from our bed was the wall of the hotel, so couldn’t really enjoy it. The room was also quite tight and looked like we had been given one of the smallest on the floor which was also disappointing. I would stay here again but would say that the upgrades are not worth it. Stick to a standard room and you won’t be disappointed.

I recently stayed at the Bournemouth Marriott and had a wonderful experience overall. The location is definitely one of its biggest highlights—right by the beach, offering beautiful sea views and easy access to the coastline, which made my stay even more relaxing.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made a big difference. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant visit.

I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. It’s a great place to unwind, especially if you’re celebrating something special—I actually stayed there for my birthday, and it made the occasion feel even more memorable.

If I had to mention a small downside, parking can be a bit limited since it’s on a first-come, first-served basis, but aside from that, everything else was great.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend the Bournemouth Marriott for anyone looking for a relaxing seaside stay with good service and a great location. I would happily come back again!

Booked sea view room and was not disappointed. Well proportioned clean room with fridge. Pleased to see two chairs in the room (stays in other hotels have one) so we could sit and watch the sea and relax. Shout out to Maggie who checked us in who was excellent. Was impressed whilst waiting to check in with other reception staff who kept their cool whilst obviously having to deal with difficult guests. Keeping their smiles was impressive. Did not eat at hotel but did at Harry Rock which was excellent plus the Thai restaurant around the corner from the hotel which was also very good. Would definitely stay again off season. We love staying here. Would like to say a very big thank you to Maggie on the reception desk who recognised us from last months stay. Maggie made us feel very welcome. This time we stayed in a cottage room 506 newly refurbished. Lovely upstairs room with a sea view. Spacious and comfy. Could do with some peppermint tea in room.Great location to stay for the BIC literally a five min walk.
Good nights sleep. Great powerful shower. Breakfast is a must. Lots of choice and good quality food.

Absolutely gorgeous room. Came back very late from an event at the Pavilion to find the carpet soaked the air conditioning unit had leaked. Staff were amazing again and moved us just next door to an ocean view suite. Wow. Slept well. Breakfast was delicious as usual. We were refunded our parking and half our stay for all the inconvenience we had been caused. Wont stop us staying here again. These things happen.

I stayed in January 2026. The room was very old and tired. There was a hole in the ceiling and watermarks and stains on the wall. The room was congested and cramped. I was very disappointed with the standard, it was not at all what I expected. The hotel staff were very unhelpful and did not approve a refund request when I chose to leave and not stay. Very poor for the Marriot. Would not recommend at all, please choose from the range of other hotels and apartments in Bournemouth.

Overall this is a pleasant, modern and clean hotel with good sea views and helpful staff, but several practical issues meant the stay was not completely seamless.
Check-in took longer than expected because the two booked rooms did not initially appear under a single reservation, though this was eventually resolved. The connecting rooms differed in size, with 200 larger than 201, and there was limited in-room and in-hotel information, with an incomplete website replacing a proper hotel or local area guide.
Room 200 had no real hot water at the basin. The shared air vent transmitted sound clearly between the two rooms, compromising privacy. Room 201 lacked direct temperature controls, and neither bathroom had a heated towel rail, which is inconvenient when the hotel encourages towel reuse.
On-site parking costs £15 per night and the car park feels very tight and often full, so manoeuvring requires caution. The compact 24/7 gym is ok but has no rowing machine and would feel crowded with more than four people.

Brasserie Blanc was a highlight: Justin offered excellent service and very accommodating. The steaks were very good.
The outdoor pool and potential for sea views are strong assets, though the pool is closed in autumn and winter although a heated winter pool would be a great idea - as would a sea-view sauna.

Overall, this hotel can provide a comfortable night at a reasonable price with a sea view, and a return visit is possible, though not guaranteed, given the above

We park in disable bay that was reserved for us when we went out that evening we were told to put a comb on the place so people new it was reserved but when we came back someone had moved the comb and parked there. They had a disabled badge in the vehicle but they hid the date so I guess it was out of date . We informed the people at the hotel they did try to call who the vehicle belonged to but they didn’t answer the phone so they sorted another space outside the hotel. There was 7 of us 3 was disabled and one was 7 months pregnant.
The rooms we had was good. The only complaint was the parking

Only gripe is it's supposed to be a 4 star hotel but it didn't have a Smart TV. I brought this up and the receptionist apologised and said they were in the process of upgrading the TVs to SMART, but were currently doing the unoccupied rooms. Otherwise would've given 5 stars for our experience.

Last minute booking. Hotel was really busy and parking was a nightmare. However, the Reception staff were very helpful in suggesting local car parks to try.
We had a family room - it was very comfortable and had everything that we wanted. Public areas were cosy and welcoming.
This is our new favourite place to stay in Bournemouth.

The room was great, sea view, very clean. We had to ask for extra bedding for the sofa bed.
We asked for two glasses of tap water from bar but no plastic glasses?? The same bar, different staff member, gave us a glass the next day with no issue at all. No veggie option for sandwiches on the menu and bar staff refused to ask chef if it was possible.
Disappointing food menu.

We had a fabulous suite - the Prince William suite. Lovely view of the ocean. The room was large and well equipped. The staff were very polite. We had room service breakfast - large amount of food - good quality. Overall 5 stars.
