After Al that fuss on social media we tried Nici Both big Pools were not hot. Meant to be a spa hotel!!Mould broken aroun jacuzzi. Sauna not working. No cotton buds next day upon cleaning the room. Heater didn’t work. Receptionist very rude. Manager not helpful things he simply said things go wrong. Wow. coffee was rubbish and badly presented. Fish was cold.
Even manager couldn’t make sure we robe replace for good 20 min and had to call reception again and it turns in a minute. I’m just shocked hey I paid so much for this stay and had no value for money at all. Can you refund???

We stayed 4 to 6 th December 25 for my hubbys birthday.
Got upgrades to a lovely sea view room that was amazing and had a free standing bath in the bedroom.
Bar was a nice atmosphere and nice drinks and breakfast was delicious.
The weather was glorious on the 4 th so had a swim in the outdoor pool which was heated and then went to sauna and indoor pool .
The only thing that was annoying was our room door banged when someone opened the doors to the corridor that we were in which was quite a lot so I never got a lot of sleep .
And the parking was really expensive £27 a night , I thought if you stayed at the hotel it would be free .
Does not put me off though as our stay was wonderful and I’m looking forward to staying again as we visit Bournemouth a lot .
Thank you again to the staff of the Nici for the upgrade … you are my fav hotel .

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The spa was wonderful, the staff were professional and friendly. The food was excellent as were the cocktails. The waiting staff were attentive but not overbearing. The building has been renovated to an extremely high standard but it is still full of character and class. Wonderful. Thank you.

Without doubt best hotel in Bournemouth. Stylish, clean, great amenities though what’s with the cold pools? Price was reasonable for a Saturday night in a beautiful hotel room. Only down side was we were allocated ina separate building in the car park. It wasn’t too noisy but didn’t fancy the trek to the pool area. And there was a strange buzzing noise on and off early in the morning, water heater? . However would still recommend

Amazing places to stay

Clean room, with coffee and tea facilities in the room! Spa was clean, modern and great outdoor pool! Would definitely book again! Nice view of the seaside and close to the centre of Bournemouth. Only downside was the parking, as limited spaces best to get there early to get a spot.

This is a really stylish hotel with beautiful outdoor pool area, good gym, cinema if the weather forces you indoors and friendly staff. At times form appeared to triumph over function (the gap between the tap and sink is so small you can barely fill up a glass let alone kettle) but the rooms feel light and beds spacious.

Very nice hotel, needs looking after more to continue the wonderful decor and ambience.
Our room was nice, few concerns with unwashed glassed left in our room, tv wasn't working but was fixed once we raised it.
Bed throw was dirty.
But otherwise, comfortable nights sleep. Good bed and cosey room.
Close to the beach. Lovely pool area outside.
Spa is decent for hotel stay too.

I booked an annexe room and upon arrival was escorted through out of the main hotel, through the car park to the room. I expressed my discomfort at staying here alone as I didn’t feel safe. As the hotel was fully booked I couldn’t move room. I was really disappointed by this as there were still a room available on the website at the time. I didn’t sleep well as the entrance was onto the car park. The room itself was very clean and had a comfortable king bed.
I found the staff friendly but the food was very average and overpriced.
The pool area was busy as the weather was lovely during my visit, beds were reserved by 9:30 each morning.
Overall, when comparing the room price, which didn’t even include breakfast, I don’t think I would visit again. Had the location of the annexe been accurately described I wouldn’t have booked such room and maybe had a better experience

My daughter and I had a wonderful 2 days at the NICI. Our bedroom was beautiful , with soft and comfortable linen, the shower was scary , it was slippy and felt like I was drowning . The hand held shower took a life on its own, and reared up and wet me and the bathroom .the shower gels were empty.
We went to the Spa and used the jacuzzi , when we turned it on the jets erupted like a volcano , the water pressure was too high. we laughed so much , it was like being on a rollacoaster.The dining area was beautiful , looking out at the pool , but we ordered a vegan diet but very little she could eat . the staff also did not know very much and half of the food on the menu was not available. the staff were very nice .
The management was poor . The invoice we received at the end of our visit was ridiculous . We were late for our spa treatment trying to sort it out and missed 20 minutes of out massage and facial. A refund would be
a good jester. The staff were really nice , trying to do their best.

This is our third stay here. We do love it but I still think there are things that could be improved. For the price, nothing should be too much trouble.
We stayed in 2 x garden suites with 4 adults and 2 children. Rooms were lovely, although there was a broken leg on one chest of drawers which could be a hazard. Lovely bathrooms, plenty of towels and robes and the free rum is a nice touch.
Things that let us down a little was the service around the pool - if they could offer drinks service or even QR codes for self ordering that would make it better. The service at old Harry rocks bar during the day is very slow. We also phoned reception a few times for little things, that either weren’t delivered or we just simply couldn’t get hold of anyone. Generally staff are friendly and accommodating. Spa area is lovely and not too busy - however every time I have been there is always people speaking on their phones, which ruins the relaxing experience. Perhaps there could be signs up about this?

Beautiful hotel, very clean, with a modern-kitsch feel. Very cool!

However as it’s an old building that’s been gutted and redesigned, there are quite severe noise problems. You will hear your upstairs neighbours every footstep through the ceiling, and the room doors are not sound proofed. The doors are also not on slow hinges at the top, so doors slam which you will hear whether it’s your neighbour next door or down the corridor. This was reported to the front desk who told me there is ‘nothing they can do’. There is one lift for the whole hotel which is also very old and tiny, you can get a maximum of two people in it!

Aside from that is a beautiful hotel, food is good, bar is a great vibe and the staff are friendly.

Good hotel but a bit loud and a party venue especially on weekends. A bit roudy around the pool with people drinking and being very loud. More on a Mallorca feel to it than Miami.

Breakfast items of poor quality especially the full english breakfast.

For the price paid one could expect better.

A 5 star stay at a 4 star property. I cannot say enough about the quality of service and the ambience of the Nici Hotel. From the valet parking, check in and restaurant staff, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Nothing was too much and everyone was professional. The property itself is stunning (especially the pool and dining areas) and our room was the perfect size (get one facing the sea, so worth it).
Highly recommend the afternoon tea and continental breakfast (all fresh and delicious).
Highly recommended to visitors to Bournemouth and we will definitely be back.

Not quite the luxury expected

The property itself is lovely (although tired in places) and the staff excellent. The outside terrace and pool simply stunning as is the orangery and separate bar / restaurant towards the beach front.

What impacts the experience is, as a guest, I wasn’t clear what clientele they were catering for other than just anyone who wanted to be there - families, pet owners, relaxed spa goers, hen doos, baby showers etc. my friend and I were seeking a relaxed weekend away with spa experience, however this was impacted by screaming children not only in the orangery but also both the outdoor pool and indoor spa pool. It felt really chaotic at times.

Breakfast was outstanding. The dinner was less so.

The rooms were very well decorated and included a lovely touch of including a measure of spiced rum provided in the room for guests to make a cocktail of their choice. However, little things were missing from the rooms such as a bottle opener, and a working hairdryer, iron and ironing board. When I asked for the opener they fetched me one but I could only use it to open the one minibar bottle before giving it back to the awaiting attendant.

The bathroom was lovely but the rainfall shower-head was in need of a descale. Plenty of lovely towels provided, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

Spa treatments were incredible- would recommend. Hot tub and swimming pool was very cold.

Overall we enjoyed our trip but would hesitate in returning for another stay.

We had complimentary tea and coffee water biscuits and Mermaid shots of spiced dark rum. There was a Sage kettle and a Nespresso machine with 3 pods The bed was huge.

Beautiful, stylish hotel with fantastic amenities. The sea view rooms really are the best. Parking is valet and costs £27 per night on top of rooms charges. The spa is very high quality. Indoor pool and sauna was excellent. The outdoor pool was a real treat for a winter swim - it’s heated to around 28 degrees.
The hotel is located around 10 mins walk out of town, but the beach is a short, downhill walk.
Be sure to check out the cocktails at the Ocean Drive bar, but watch out for the £3.50 service charge when getting one drink.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay at The Nici. Staff are wonderful, food and drinks super tasty and we would definitely return. The icing on the cake for us was how dog friendly the hotel is. We watched the hotel Christmas decorations going up yesterday so it looks even more magnificent - tempted to make another trip leading up to the festive celebrations. Great hotel!

Disappointed with the welcome at Reception. When booking the stay it wasn’t mentioned a £100 deposit needs to be put down which I’ve now noticed has been put through twice on my card. Children have limited access to the pool (9am-10am) & can’t use it after 5pm. The air conditioning unit broke in the middle of the night which made the room uncomfortably warm.
I was really looking forward to staying here but ended up feeling like I wasted my money.

We had a brilliant weekend stay at The Nici. this really is a first class hotel. The rooms are a good size, beds huge and comfy, staff very efficient and friendly. Great location for the BIC and town centre. the outdoor pool is luxurious and warm. The new restaurant is fun and lively on a Saturday night. No complaints at all.
