I stayed in the apartment. It is closer to the cathedral than the hotel and is really in the centre of where tourists want to be. Behind a beautiful wooden door is a beautiful marble hallway that leads to the apartments. Therefore it is off of the pedestrian street and is very quiet.
The place was very clean and tidy with good amenities - full kitchen, internet, tv and small patio. The heating worked well. I found the lack of natural daylight rather odd (light is from internal light wells) but i suspect its exactly what you need to stay cool in summer!
The lady at the front desk was very helpful and walked me to the place from hotel check in. Initially I was a bit put out that it hadnt been made obvious that the apartment was in a different location but it turned out to be in a great place. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights. The walls were as thin as a dormitory's, so you could hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. On the 3rd day, I asked for fresh towels (didn't even ask for the room to be cleaned) and was told they only change towels or sheets after 3 nights, meaning on the 4th day. They gave us new towels, but only if we returned the old ones, which made it feel like they were doing us a favor. Would not stay again

I would say this is just is a place to sleep, but not much else to write home about. Our toilet really didn’t flush, we had one pillow and couldn’t get two (there were 2 of us). We had to turn our bed in order to walk into the bathroom easily. So yeah, it did the job but wouldn’t be returning. On a good note, the staff was very friendly and the location was pretty convenient for walking around the city.

The air conditioning is more like an air filter. It was hot each night and the alley noise prevented peaceful sleep. The shower rose was not fixed to the wall so we had to use the community shower although we had paid for a private bathroom.

The pension is just within the lively area of Santa Cruz with wonderful tapas bars and Flamenco shows around. It was a challenge to find the Hop on Hop off bus. Tickets sold everywhere but You need to find your way to the tower beside the river.

The hotel is located conveniently to restaurants and attractions; the staff was very friendly and helpful. However I was in a ground floor room not bigger than a large closet in much need of updating. It was noisy; had very little room for my luggage; a musty odor; and no place to put toiletries in the shower. A let down especially after the wonderful room I had for the same price in Cordoba where I had just arrived from.

Location is good however the room had no AC and was hot even in February, not even a small fan provided. Ceiling had black mould (see pics) wifi did not work at any time. I had to buy more data on my plan to use internet. Parking was offsite and expensive, they also didnt give us a key promising reception would be open 24hs. It WAS NOT so we had to call for help when we checked out and wait for them to come and eventually get the parking garage open. Very thin walls with very noisy rooms. Noise from hallway AND from buildigns around where people were yelling all night and early morning. Would NOT recommend or stay again.

It is a very old building, with humidity and little ventilation. The hot water did not work well, they changed our room and the same thing happened in the other, later they said that they would compensate us and after leaving the hotel they do not take care of anything.

This hotel has both positive and negative aspects. Positives: the staff are friendly and helpful, the WiFi is good, it's very clean and the beds are comfy.

Negatives: it's dated and in need of refurbishment. It's quite basic. There is no lift so it's unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

Location is decent, plenty of places to eat, walking distance to the railway station and city centre attractions. It is a bit noisy in the evening but quietens down around 11 and is probably no worse than anywhere else locally.

It is fairly cheap and is decent value for the money. I wouldn't be rushing to stay here again but I'd be happy to do so

Perfect location

This was a clean and bare bones place to stay in a great location in historic Seville. It's off a quiet small plaza with a lot of great restaurants nearby and with a 5-20 minute walk to all the sights. We stayed in the triple with a shared bathroom. It had a little balcony that was great to let air in and the bathroom was just across the hall and only shared with 1 other room. The staff were all very friendly.

This property is in a good location near the railway station. Staff was pleasant and the check in process was easy. We checked in after 12am and was received with no problems. However, the walls are thin so it was noisy at night from neighbors and from old pipes and bed creaks. Also, there is no free water refill fountains or boiler.

The hotel was adequate but when the heat was on it smelled like ass. The hotel was noisy throughout the night with slamming doors and loud people in the halls. Walls are thin and even with earplugs we were not able to sleep for more than an hour or two at a time. Horrible nights rest right before we had to take a long trip! I do not recommend this place!

Basic but perfectly adequate accommodations. We got a room with a shared bathroom and the bathroom was very nice, too.

You can't beat it for location...an easy walk to the Catedral, the Real Alcazar, and the Santa Cruz (Old Jewish Quarter) area, which is exactly what we wanted to see.

The staff is very helpful -- Jordi especially went out of his way to help us. Be prepared to speak Spanish, if nothing more than key words from a phrasebook or Google translator.

It can be a little difficult to find -- a small street off the main road -- but it's worth the effort. A GPS app will help. And it looks out over a nice plaza with a local bar/pub.

Parking is an extra charge and is off-site, a 5-minute walk away, in a covered, access-controlled parking garage.

Right in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighborhood with dozens of bars and restaurants within blocks. All the major tourism sites are 15 min walk away. You get what you pay for.
Pros: Prime location close to the cathedral, real alcazar, and plaza de espana. Tons of resturaunts near by. They also sell beer and soft drinks for super cheap at the front desk. Theres a nice terrace on the roof to relax. Really, if you just need a place to put your bags while you explore, a bed and a shower, this place is good for the price.

Cons: The place itself is old and could use some updating. Bathtub leaked and flooded the room..we paid a little more for a room with a private bathroom but ended up using the shared one anyway. Wifi doesnt reach to the 3rd floor...had to use the common space on the main level to connect to wifi; and you have to whisper there (staff scolded us for talking quietly) there because theres a room that connects adjacent to it. One of the 3 outlets didnt work. The bed was mildly comfortable, and there is a LOT of noise early in the morning.

When all is said and done, its not a fancy place, but also doesnt claim to be. It has all the basics, and the noise outside (the only 1 thing that i was truly upset about) is out of the hotels control. We stayed 3 nights and it was a good home-base for us. Id probably stay there again out of convenience.

The hotel was an old building on the outskirts of the old town. I had the single ensuite room whilst dated decor contained everything you needed. The room was actually across a patio terrace but unfortunately one night they locked the terrace door with the key on the outside, meaning I had no way of getting into my room. And it wasn't clear how you contacted reception given it was supposedly manned 24 hours but there seemed to be no one there. But that aside for the price it was decent value.

the location was ok on the fringe of the old town and the staff was friendly enough however it was difficult to communicate as my spanish sucks. the rooms were bare and small with a uncomfortable bed. the bathroom had a consistent bad smell and cheap towels were provided that did not soak up water and stuck to your skin... there are many hostels or hotels in the old town area to chose from. i would look elsewhere.

Convenient location needs an upgrade.

The location of this hotel was very convenient for restaurants and sightseeing. With the help from the hotel staff they made the parking work for us, although it was a little tight and not recommended for large cars. The rooms were functional in that they had a bed you could sleep in and a cupboard you could hang your clothes in, but they were not very comfortable and were extrememely drab. The bathroom door did not shut properly, other doors did not fit the door frames, the windows were frosted and only looked out onto a small patio which meant that hardly any daylight came into the room and there was no way you could see the sky to see what the weather was like. The towels were non absorbent, the one pillow on the double bed was flat, there was only one exit which was the front door, which could be impossible to get to if there was a fire, and as the windows had bars on them this exit was obstructed. The toilet did not flush properly and the cistern leaked. The general upkeep as we saw it was very poor and desperately needed upgrading.

Handy location

Handy location just inside the old town. Was quite pricey when we stayed during peak season overall for what is offered, though obviously part of that is the handy location. As mentioned in other reviews, it has been recently renovated so all good condition and clean. Rooms are quite simple. There is one of the colourful little communal areas on each floor (some with a handy fridge) and a rooftop balcony. Understandably in the old town, our bedroom had only a very small window opening onto a small internal courtyard - which sometimes noise seemed to reverberate up! But there is no street noise in our room which was great. 24 hour reception means a lot of different staff and that sometimes there is noise from late night arrivals. Staff I had contact with were very helpful. I was surprised to be charged for printing out a (local monument) ticket as I hadn't experienced that anywhere else (we were staying for 3 nights).

From the beginning, my experience was not so good. Started with check-in; the guy at the desk spoke absolutely no language other than Spanish. He was slow and unhelpful to me and to others in line. The room I was given was tiny and 4 flights up; I am old and had to schlep up 4 flights (bottom floor is 0). There was no way to communicate about the freezing room (unseasonable weather) without going down 4 flights to find no one at reception and back up 4 flights of stairs to a noisy room above the terrace.

My single room was up 2 flights of stairs and across a small courtyard, it was basic but clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the peace and isolation but the courtyard is available to hotel guests and used by smokers so potential noise and smell issues but none for me so early in the year.

Staff were efficient and helpful and hotel is well located in central Seville, 10 mins walk to cathedral, 12 to St. Justa Station.

There are no frills here and I thought the room was poor value generally but compared to other nearby places was the best I could find.

The hotel is located within walking distance from all sites. It’s is about 5 minutes away from the Cathedral. The staff is very polite and go out of their way to help you. There is a mini market across the street where water and refreshments can be purchased. There are also several restaurants steps away from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay.

Firstly the location is excellent - 10 mins walk from the airport bus stop, 15 mins walk to train station and 10 mins walk to the main attractions. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops close by.

Overall, for the money you pay and the location alone it offers great value for money.

With regards to the stay (I stayed in a single ensuite room):
Good points - clean, all the facilities you need, quiet
Bad point - outside the room is a courtyard where people can smoke. This wasn't the problem, the issue was there was a bright light in the courtyard and unlike the others in the hotel it wasn't motion activated. The room door has a glass window, therefore the light shines into the room, making it difficult to sleep when the light goes on.

Annoyingly this could have been easily solved by a black out blind/curtain over the window and would have made the stay perfect.

Finally, many reviews say it is difficult to find, this is simply not the case as it is in a little square just off the main road. A google map easily finds the location.

Overall, a good stay, but please sort out the light

Fantastic!

Staying at Pension Perez Montilla, was terrific as we had great access to cafes and restaurants. We could walk to the Cathedral and to Plaza de Espana. The venue is great if you want to spend most of your time out and about. It's very basic but clean and comfortable. It was perfect for us as we were there one weeks and really only used it for shower and sleep... I highly recommend the place if this is your plan.

A nice little hotel, a little tired perhaps, but remember what you're paying - the location is fantastic and the room was comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful (parking is expensive, but is close by). The roof terrace made our stay magical and one of our party got a room with a balcony which was lovely. Honestly, of a whole road trip around Andalusia this was probably one of ou favourite hotels. A lot of character, great value and would definitely recommend.

Brilliant budget hotel

We had a quiet and private double room at Pension Perez Montilla in the heart of Old Seville.

Staff were friendly and helpful, we forgot documents in our room and they kept them for us and securely looked after our luggage post check out on the day we left.

They also arranged for us a taxi transfer to the airport

I would recommend paying a bit extra for an air conditioned room as it gets very hot in Seville in summer.

Clean and basic accommodation and a excellent base for exploring the city.

Location was great and all the staff members were helpful and gracious. However, the room was very depressing. It was dark and gloomy, although the bed was comfortable. In addition, no amenities, such as shampoo or soap, were provided (only hand soap). Towels were changed every three days only and if you needed to change towels before the third day, there's a charge. In addition, they were not absorbent at all. That's fine except that the towels are not absorbent at all, Overall, I thought that it was overpriced for what you got.

Now the not so good: four flights of stairs, I knew I was getting a share bathroom, but I was hoping it would at least be on the same floor, the room I had was tiny, with a very hard bed and a window that faced straight onto a noisy street. I was travelling solo, so I got a single bed, a sink, side table with lamp, a cupboard and...that was it. If you are a couple you get a bigger room to accommodate a double bed, but to be honest, I couldn't wait to leave.

Traveled with family and my son and I stayed. As in Europe some rooms are small. The area is somewhat noisy but it's located near everything. The staff was great, they also have a terraza on the 2nd and 4th floors. The price was right.

Cuando llegamos la atención de personal fue buena.Nos explicó todo bien y fue rápido.La decepción vino después,aunque sabía que iba a una pensión modesta y habitación pequeña esto lo pone correcto al reservar.,tb consta que tiene aire acondicionado y calefacción, cosa que no es cierto Cogí con baño incorporado(con extra de precio)y acabamos usando el compartido, ya que lo que han hecho es levantar un tabique(por eso la habitación es aún más pequeña)y como no cabe puerta normal han puesto una corredera, pero por fuera y ni siqiera un carril de puerta exterior con sujeción arriba y abajo,está sin ningún tipo de manilla ni cierre y se abre levantándola hacia arriba,es decir,totalmente al aire,menos cero de privacidad.Termo eléctrico que calienta bien eso sí y buena presión de ducha.Ducha nueva y buen tamaño. La habitación lógicamente tiene mucha humedad y está toda desconchada, y parece que ha habido goteras ya que techo y pared están horribles y con manchas. Estoy acostumbrada a pensiones,pero aunque sean antiguas se les suele hacer un lavado de cara un poco más decente o tienen encanto. No es este caso, tampoco hay patio andaluz como en las fotos, eso es falso o será otro edificio.No pido toalla nueva ni cambiarla a diario pero con el precio que se pagó nos merecemos que en ese lavado de cara hayan invertido un poco más. Ni un sitio para dejar una maleta pequeña.juntamos camas y al suelo en un rincón y recoger a diario sino no hacían habitación, la de limpieza no amable

Bel accueil sympathique, très autonome avec un système d’ouverture avec un vigic, propre avec nettoyage de la chambre tous les jours, prix raisonnable, bien situé sur une placette en peu de retrait de la grande avenue donc pas de bruit, seul bémol la sdb en commun mais finalement peu gênant.
