The location was outstanding. The building was clean and quiet. The staff were excellent. The room was great. The only con was they didn't clean the room according to their every other day schedule. Only the first day. Afterwards, not at all for three more days.

The location is unbeatable: you can get almost anywhere in England by train, bus or tube. The staff is friendly and helpful and the units are spacious. Across the street is Eataly for great Italian food and there are pubs and restaurants in the station and nearby.
The only drawback is the street noise from the pubs and drunks is very strong and goes on past 1 or 2 am, so interior suites are desirable.

The apt. was a bit past its prime, but the real problem was the elevator was broken and we (A 79 &78 yr olds with rheumatoid arthritis) were on the 5th floor. Thankfully we were only there one night. A man helped us get our luggage to the apt., but after that we were stuck as we weren't going to try the stairs again. We both contacted the rental manager via their email and got no response. When we left the following day the man was helping others with their luggage so we were on our own.

Lovely apartment in a great location with a tube station nearly opposite the building. We were able to leave our bags with reception before we checked in, and the apartment was very large and had a brilliantly equipped kitchen. Was a tiny bit noisy in the early hours of the morning, but the only downside really was a service charge added at the end which we were not prior informed about. Overall we would definitely stay again.

Bit of a wait to check in once we arrived with all our luggage. Then we found out the lift was out of service and had to walk multiple times with luggage up four flights of stairs. Room was not as pictured on the Expedia page. On the positive side, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and there was ample drinking water in the fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Disappointing because the listing showed one price and that price then jumped up by $79 when we went to book and then only to find out the lift was out. Less than stellar experience

I have stayed that this location, 3 time a year for roughly 15 years. Clearly i like the location, staff . However the last two times i have stayed, the elevator broke down and for myself and offers walking the stairs can be a chore. Fortunately I was on the second floor.

Let’s start with the positives- Location is central if you’re on business in the financial district. Many good restaurants and the area is “happening “ in general. Rooms are spacious and the feel is of a serviced apartment.
That said, the building itself is old and could use some renovation. The reception area is small and the receptionist not very welcoming and the room was not serviced even once during my 4- night stay.

Our biggest complaint was lack of communication that the elevator was broken at least a week in advance of our 5 day stay and no one notified us. Having to walk to our penthouse room was quite exhausting and greatly impacted our stay and enjoyment of the room. Being seniors it challenged our joints and cardio health. We would leave in the morning and return once in evening, too challenging otherwise. Other than that the stay would have been quite nice.

We stayed with a group of 13 (in 4 units). The stay was almost perfect. The units were nice, kitchens were well equipt, beds were soft and comfortable, and furnished nicely. The front desk clerks were friendly. There is a Tesco a few doors down which was convenient. The Liverpool St station is across the street. There is a nice night life all around and the Spitafield Markets are around the corner offeringseveral amazing restaurantsand shopping. We would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint was the lift was out of order and we were on the 5th floor! They didn’t offer to take our bags up, and having just come in from Southampton on a cruise....we had many! We managed our bags. I don't think they had a gym, but who needs one after climbing up and down 6 flights of stairs several times a day! I hope they got the lift fixed. We didn’t see mich work being done during our 4 day stay. We would stay again, but maybe not in the penthouse if the lift is down.

Hard to believe that it could t be fixed sooner. Some of the staff were great for sure. Furniture was broken, no frying pan freezer door didn’t work and some of the cupboards fell off without touching them.
Close to everything but for price was overly impressed. Washer /dryer not user friendly nor have enough space to wash more than three things at a time

No lift working.

For the entire stay the elevator (lift) was not working. Our room on the 4th floor was 85 steps up from the lobby. We are in our late 70's and with no lift we struggled to walk up and down to our apartment. We deserve a credit for this inconvenience.

Large apartment. Has everything you need. Much larger than expected. Fantastic location travelled with group of 5, 3 of which were seniors.

Very clean shower tub not the greatest but that’s not a huge deal if I just had something to critique it would be that so overall amazing hotel and I would definitely stay there again… one other thing washer works but the dryer doesn’t staff couldn’t figure out either but that was ok we made just if I had to be picky

We stayed 5 nights. The lift only worked from one floor up for two days then didnt work at all. They promised to help with our luggage on check out butvthen wouldnt - 4 cases from 5th floor! Advertised with ensuite but only had 2 normal bathroom. Air conditioning did not work and wasnt to be fixed. Broken tiles in kitchen. Advertised worldwide sockets, but only euro/uk. Desperately needs a paint. Would not stay again.

The apartment does not have A/C and the apartment feels old and needs an upgrade. No pan in the kitchen, limited dishes and forks, spoons etc. very limited utensils. The TVs did not work. He fans were broken. The pictures does not reflect at all the condition of the apartment. The only good think is location next to subway and train station bit the area is dirty, homeless around, I wouldn't stay again

I booked this hotel but I didn't get to see the rooms, because they messed up my reservation and sent me to another hotel which was apparently nicer (it was good) but there was a reason why I wanted to stay in this location next to Liverpool Street station. Wouldn't stay here again - was ok

On checking in they asked me to pay a discretionary 5% service charge.... I've never heard of this before.... I declined and said I would decide at check out.
The description says washer/dryer.... it's a washer only. I told them safe didn't work, nothing was done about it. Housekeeping came very late 3.30 - 4.30 pm which if you've been out all day isn't convenient - I only ended up getting one service in 5 night ( and the bed wasn't made) event though another 2 days I had 'please service my room' on the outside of door.
And the man on reception blocking the entrance in the evening smoking is not acceptable.
Plus 3 glass table on the studio - the glass wasn't fixed to any of the table so was dangerous.
No air con - rooms very hot - asked for a fan.
Beds very comfortable and great location but works chose another option next time.

The location was excellent and so convenient for public transportation and restaurants, pubs and really anything’s you might need. The problem is that the hotel is not air conditioned and you cannot open the windows for airflow. Every room in the apartment has a heavy door that can’t be propped open so there is no air flow. The weather in London was in the 80’s so the apartment got very hot throughout the day and it was very hard to sleep. The mattress was overly soft and had a big slope in the middle. Otherwise the accommodations were fine. Nothing fancy.

This property is in a great location. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Our biggest issue with the room was the toilet would hardly flush. We called shortly after checking in, and the lady said we can use the one in the room next to us, which was nice. There was no other room available for our family of 5. A repair man came after about an hour. Unfortunately the repair man, who was very nice, was in our room until after 9pm attempting to repair the toilet. About 3 hours. I told him we had to wake up early, and he finished up soon after. The next morning the man at the desk was going to charge me a service fee for something, I’m not sure what, and I told him about the problem the night before, and he didn’t charge me. The room looks very worn. The floor looks very bad. Otherwise, everything was ok

Our request to check in earlier was only available for a fee. If the room was available, why not let your guest settle in after having a long day without charging a fee. The beds, linen and pillows were very comfy. The apartment could use some plants or decor to brighten it up a little. I did not like the stains on the tile in the bathroom and would recommend having a manual available for your guest to use the washing machine and thermostat. On a more positive note, thanks for relocating us to another apartment without any issues after we discovered a sever leak in the bathroom ceiling.

Not luxurious but it is a three room apartment with kitchen living area and bedroom. Very tall bathtub; it’s a big step into tub for a shower. There is heat and AC and a fan. Espresso machine was baffling, we never figured out the oven. Microwave and kettle did work. In a busy, bustling, gritty area but fast food and better food were steps away. Pret a manger next door for coffee and breakfast. Greggs in the underground station for sausage rolls before the day is over. We would stay here again for very practical reasons. Nice desk staff and easy access by bus or rail to the whole town.

Do not stay here unless you are looking for a place that vibes “landlord special, cheap, not maintained, bachelor apartment”. The pictures they present are not accurate as each unit is apparently different. There is no relaxing, homey vibe the pictures suggest.

It’s above a bar and the windows on the front of the building are old single pane and DO NOT block ANY noise. We were in 201 and could hear word for word conversations happening on the street when we were in the living area.

In our apartment the bedrooms were on the back of the building and it was much quieter in there.

I am including video of the mold in the bathroom, dingy tub, and general disrepair. England is full of “older” units but this one didn’t really try to be presentable.

Cons-You can hear the people walking in the apartment above you, and hear everything on the street. There were NO PROTECTIVE COVERS on the mattress or pillows. No Air Conditioning available. Has washer/dryer combo but ours would not hold the door closed. Front door deadbolt didn’t work.

Pros- high ceilings, big rooms, very close to tube station and restaurants. Towels and sheets seemed clean. Top surfaces of counters seemed clean.

This hotel is not for sleeping

They are good and bad parts of the location of the hotel.
The good part is that is directly across the road from a main line train station with good links to the airport and Central London.
The bad part is that the hotel is directly above two very busy bars and a bus stop. If you plan to get any sleep then this should not be the hotel for you. There's also street lights that shine directly into the rooms that are street-facing. They do not have any curtains in the rooms, so the rooms are lit up all the night.

As for the noise that is outside, you will definitely feel that you are in the middle of the bar at 1:00 in the morning.

The hotel does offer rollaway beds but these are not rollaway beds, they'll be giving you air mattresses.

This hotel is really only suitable for bachelor /bachelorette parties who are in town for the night life and transport connections.

Inside the apartments, it's pretty limited and basic, but good enough for young party goers.

This apartment was amazing - plenty of space for a family, and lots of natural light. The neighborhood is full of restaurants and shopping opportunities, and there are 2 grocery stores within a block or two. The Liverpool Street Tube station is across the street, making transportation easy. I think the Tower of London is within walking distance, but we didn't walk it. The only downside was that our apartment was on the 5th floor, and the elevator was not working while we were there. Given that the lobby is on the ground floor, trudging up five floors with luggage was not pleasant.

We had a few problems that made our experience less than ideal. I picked it because of the washing machine. Half way through the cycle the machine kept tripping the power supply. It was Saturday night so couldn’t be fixed till Monday so I had to leave with a bunch of wet, half washed clothes. Location is great but is an old building so can hear the people above very clearly. Overall average, maybe a little below based on the cost.

The property is under major construction and they did not disclose. However the location is fantastic.

Pictures are deceiving. We checked in and immediately checked out, with penalty. There was no way we were staying there. Floors were dirty, shower moldy, and no AC. Not worth the money

Fantastic location, but the apartment is very tired. Cracked mirror, broken tiles, worn sofa, cheap furniture - reminded me of student accommodation.

Family stay

Excellent location and plenty of space for a family.
Well equipped and beds comfortable.
Rooms were very warm and air con in the bedroom was noisy and not very effective.
Would definitely stay again though.
