We chose The Hume Inn Motel for its \" pet friendly\" classification. The staff were very friendly and helpful , the room was clean and well appointed and our 2 cats travelling with us, were welcomed and felt safe. It was an excellent experience.
Gary
Out dated facilities in the rooms
Carole
Very good for the price, great shower.
Susan
The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Would have liked some grassy areas for toileting the dog instead of having to walk out of the property to the grass verge.

This property is opposite the Murray River and an amazing public park. There is an area for dogs off leash. The motel is on a busy road but all rooms are located away from any traffic noise. There is a cafe in the park and restaurant at motel with takeaway options plus a bakery right next door.
Ting
Good location and good size of the room, has everything we needed. Will come back again.
Neil

This Motel has all you need and is good value for money. Housekeeping is good, the small pool is clean, parking undercover in most rooms and right outside your door, quiet area and good location to town centre. Also has a bakery and Italian restaurant right outside its entrance.
Would stay here again if in Albury.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was spotless. There was excellent air conditioning and the bed was very comfortable. And tea and biscuits were provided! I would certainly stay there again.
Sandra
The room was comfortable.

We had an urgent booking for 2 nights and the receptionist was very helpful in picking a room with a car park outside the front door. I did regret not taking swimwear as the pool looked really inviting.

Everything was clean and comfortable, we had such a great undisturbed sleep, hot water in the shower felt amazing and the staff were friendly.. if we stop through Albury again we'll be staying here!
Todd
While basic and not 5*, it’s a top notch basic hotel. Great A/C, good tv, clean and crisp sheets and towels and clean. Highly recommend.
Chris
Parks and riverside location for a truly pleasant
Unbeatable parkside and riverside location for those who like to enjoy nature during their stay. Botanic Gardens and city pool complex across the road. Clean and tidy enough where it counts. Southwest edge of the CBD means a pleasant 20min stroll into town for work and shopping. Happy to stay here again.
Mark
Check in was friendly and efficient

Despite being a little old, the rooms were clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean and adequate. Undercover parking on some levels was a nice touch. Across the road is a beautiful park area leading to the river. The lady owning the property was very pleasant to deal with.
Jill
Surprise!
Only for one night so for the excellent price all i hoped for was a decent bed. It was a typical motel set up and it was very clean, bright lighting and crisp white sheets and bedding. I will stay there again if i need to without doubt.
Alexander
Late check in info was incorrect, basic things like room number and parking, staff spoke little English and were unresponsive and unhelpful.

Good hotel
Very clean, basic with new bathroom. Blinds let in a lot of light so early wake up. Bit noisy as bathroom window permanently open.
Marilyn
Disappointing stay!
After reading the reviews I thought we might have a shot at a quiet room for two nights as the motel was opposite a park, next to the Murray R. This was not the case! The first night found that there were a lot of contract workers booked in. Outside the room beside us were two pairs of boots on their doorstep, with a pair of discarded socks! Great. Later, we found that the road outside the motel is haunted by local hoons in souped-up cars, who rev up their motors and scream past the motel at various times in the evenings. At 2am on the first night at a couple decided to have a loud, sweary fight right outside our room which ended up out in the carpark, with a woman discharging a fire extinguisher on the bloke she was swearing at. Someone on the other side reported it in and the cops turned up ten minutes later, but by then they had gone. The second night there was a busload of people staying, who decided to have a noisy get-together outside for hours. This was complemented by a large group of equally loud youngsters who were having a sort of 'party' at the other end of the motel. There was a lot of running about and screaming. As a result not much sleep was had by us either night! To cap it off, there was no water in the swimming pool, and our 'complimentary' bottle of wine did not appear! This is probably the worst place we have stayed at when booking with Hotels.com. The bed was OK, room a bit tired looking but a decent size. It was convenient. But that's it! Never again!

Whilst polite and welcoming, honesty would be appreciated. The property is next door to an industrial estate, it might not suit travellers wanting a quiet rest, with heavy machinery, staff calling out and trucks running engines by the window. Inside clean, older style, met reasonable expectations, cutlery/plates drawer heavy, difficult to open or shut. The website lists a pool, empty (accessible hazard). An email from hotel told us of the lovely bbq area, not so, with dusty table and bbq out of order. Staff simply explain it away, but same high prices.

It was quiet and the room was clean, the shower was great
Josephine
I liked the friendly atmosphere and access to the restaurant
Unfortunately there were no tissues provided and there was no conditioner in the shower.
I would stay there again, though.

I was able to easily organise access to our room even though we arrive well after the reception had closed. The room was clean, tidy and all you need for a nights sleep
Nicole
Very tired and desperately in need of a lick of paint.
Cobwebs on ceiling and hair shavings left on floor of bathroom from previous guests.
Glad we were only staying the one night.

Changed our room to one with a bath, bloody shower over the bath and we had to climb in and out. No glasses no spoons no small plates.

Room was nice and clean. Parking close to room. A bit noisy from main road and trucks. Not much you can do about that though. Kettle, Microwave, fridge, tea and coffee, private bathroom all the essentials.

Good for a quick stay
Stayed here twice en route between Sydney and Melbourne. Both timesI came in late and I was able to get access and parking with a trailer no problems. Clean and simple. Breakfast not amazing but included in good value price.
Importantly, not a big detour off main highway. Would stay again.

Clean and tidy. Lots of parking. Free breakfast. The only thing that let it down we’re the blinds. We were awake at the crack of dawn.

The Hume Inn is conveniently located on the southern side of Albury with easy access to the Highway, and right across the road from the River.
The room was comfortable for the 5 of us with enough room to move around. The include continental breakfast added a nice touch.

Just ok for 1 night.
Room very small for price. Window air conditioning very noisy at night time.
White light on top of door to attract mosquitoes make it worse and easy for mosquitoes to get inside room each time you open the door.
Breakfast : only cereal, toasted bread, juice and coffee.
I did pay $140 in a good hotel in Canberra few days back and $120 for this motel?
worthless pay for this.
Good: pool and close to Albury CBD. Friendly stuff.
I will not recommend this Motel for this price unless price drop to $50-50.

No top sheet on the bed the aircon was working but it was very noisy so we couldn’t use it their was bugs in the bed and a continental breakfast was supposed to be included but it was disappointing all though the shower was very good it was alright but wouldn’t stay there again

Very good location, free breakfast was nice touch. Only complaint was poor fitting door and no fly screen allowed insects to enter inside that were attracted by outside light. Other than this I would have given an excellent rating. Real value for money.

No parking spot near room.
Arrived and no hot water.
No washers, dirty spoons/cups, blankets thrown in wardrobe unfolded.
Stinky blankets.
Bedspreads!!! Why do people have these. Tiny TV with remote that hardly worked.
Mould in shower.
Chairs in the pool.
Sheets looked like someone else had slept in them.

An unsafe and loud mid week experience
There way a lot of noise outside during our mid week stay with a 6 month old. A few other guest were drinking and shouting. We made a complaints but nothing really changed and we were still charged full price. A couple other guest were disappointed also and made complaints during the night. Yet to hear from owners.
