Spacious and clean

Beautifully maintained property. Rooms clean and spacious. Great hot water pressure in shower. Shower floors slippery you may need to ask for a shower mat. Dinning room and bar welcoming and the staff in both are fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wines, can't do enough for you. Front of house staff very welcoming. We keep coming back as we always feel so welcomed and pampered. A lovely relaxing stay.

Ideal stopover when travelling between Sydney/Canberra and Melbourne. Easy access off the Hume Highway and safe even for late-night arrivals, with convenient self check-in and key collection options.
Rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. Highly recommend calling ahead to confirm everything is ready, including expected amenities such as kettles and a microwave rather than assuming. It’s also worth getting any promised inclusions confirmed in writing to avoid miscommunication among the satff.
Overall, a reliable, peaceful, comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Pool and spa is not heated at all plus the bar I never saw open and was told happy hour dosnt exist there anymore yet their website states it does.
Geoffrey
As always the room was clean, tidy and well appointed. The restaurant meals (lamb shank & barrumundi) exellent and well cooked. When requesting the restaurant bill be placed on my account, I was informed that this service was now only available to corporate clients not private citizens. I felt undervalued. I thought that management ought to be trying to enhance customer experience, not degrade it! Fortunately, the head of service recognised that my wife and I were customers of long standing (25 years) and fixed the problem. On account of his intervention I will give the Inn another try in three weeks time. If we as private citizens are treated less than corporates again, numerous other venues are available.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
The things I didn’t like were the kettle too hard to fill up. The only tap was in the bathroom sink.
No face washers were supplied.
Although I enjoyed the pool it was a little hard to get into. Steps too high and very slippery on the bottom.

Glad the lift is fixed! Some more crockery and cutlery in the room would have been convenient and some larger tea/coffee mugs would be appreciated.

REception staff were wonderful, room was comfortable, bed very comfy, loved having a balcony and view over the vacant land.
Paul
The room was clean and quiet, staff efficient and polite. The lack of Restaurant service this far into the New Year was disappointing but Albury choices are plentiful in the city centre

A very good hotel with undercover parking and nice on site restaurant. Rooms are comfortable and mostly very clean. It was disappointing to find small dirty marks on the bed sheet when we went to bed.
We've stayed here many times before and this was the first time there's been an issue, so I'm sure it was a one off problem.
We'll stay again and I'm happy to recommend this hotel.

Very clean, friendly service and lots of space in the room

Could not believe the restaurant was not open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So can’t really rate this motel. Staff seemed pleasant enough. Otherwise would not stay here again as it was holiday time and there was no food available and this was not stated on Expedia when booking. 😞we booked because there was a bar and grill.
Mohammad Mehdi
Very well organised.

Colin
Staff were friendly. Room was clean and tidy

Lift was out of order. Email sent after booking said the lift was out of order between 23rd June until the 9th August. As I booked in November I expected the lift to be working, it was not which impacted a member of my group with limited mobility.
Rachael
Nice upgrade
Graham
Quiet, spotless, roomy and good facilities in a convenient location. Staff very helpful.
Aimee
Absolutely amazing service. The staff were all amazing, friendly and had great senses of humour. The room was clean and well set out and the bed was comfortable. The food was amazing.
Will definitely stay there again and encourage anyone we know heading through Albury to do the same

The pool had no water and spa and shauna was old and dirty
Wayne
This should be a great place, but with no ground floor rooms and the lift out of order, not very accessible. I asked for a ground floor room. Of course that wasn't an option, but nobody thought to ask me if I was okay with stairs (I am, but that's not the point). Restaurant service was slow even thought it was quiet, and they forgot my drink order.
Overall, stay was pleasant, with rooms meeting what I expect of BW

We arrived at 5:50pm on a Sunday, having contacted reception by phone, because reception closes at 6:00pm on a Sunday.
In our room:
1. There was only half a roll of toilet paper and because it was after 6pm, reception was closed;
2. The room lighting was inadequate. It was very dark, particularly (but not only) over the kitchenette area;
3. When we arrived, the room was very cold. After a while the heating worked, but why couldn’t this have been turned on after we rang?
4. The bathroom had no heating at all.
On the positive side:
1. We had requested a fragrance free room, and this was provided;
2. Location was very good;
3. Room was a good size;
4. Power points well located;
5. Housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly;
6. There were biscuits with tea & coffee…thanks;
7. Undercover parking very good.

Excellent staff, very comfortable room, and a lovely room service meal for dinner. Beds are also very comfortable, and a huge plus point.

Well done to Hovell Tree team in Albury
Loved that we could do our laundry - free! Also, everything was above expected standards; it’s reassuring that all the things a traveller needs is provided. We also ate in the bistro and found it good value and the food excellent - well done to the kitchen team there. Also appreciated the friendly helpful staff.

All clean room, great bar and restaurant.
Check-in experience was poor as the staff member didn’t acknowledge me and was to busy on the phone to another staff member so I was left waiting for 5 minutes.

I highly recommend staying here and I thank all the staff for their friendly and helpful demeanour. 🙏

Safe parking, spacious modern room and gym & Jacuzzi was a plus. And a close proximity of a river walk.

Dining menu basic but well done. Bed very soft and uncomfortable for me but could suit others

Surprised/a bit taken back that our room was not fully serviced once during our 5 night stay (Thursday prior to Easter with checkout on Easter Tuesday). On arrival, information in room advised no service on Sundays or public holidays, which was not advised when booking online. Despite this I still expected the room to be fully serviced on the Saturday, which as far as I know is not a Public Holiday. NB there was no reduction in the nightly rate or additional amenity offered to compensate for this lack of service. Despite this we would stay again, but be mindful of the above. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed.

We have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions. We were informed that the hotel had new owners. The restaurant used to be very good but is now very average.

Receptionist at check in was rude
Jon
It did what it said on the tin

Great place to stay.
This is a great place to stay. Waling distance to main street but quite and across from the Murray River and park. Have used this hotel many times and will in the future.

Always a pleasant stay
As always, clean and comfortable room and friendly staff. We use this Best Western whenever we pass through Albury. This time we did need to ask a staff person to come and clean the balcony table but that was done promptly and with good grace. We never have any complaints.

Excellent leave to stop over when travelling 👌

Stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, kitchen, which is great to have this part of a hotel with restaurant, pool, etc. walking distance to parks, pool, botanic gardens and shops. Restaurant food was nice, just a little expensive. Service in restaurant and bar exceptional. Parking easy.

Business trip for 4 days, perfect place to stay.

Good and Comfortable Stopover
Comfortable stop over on my way to Sydney. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Close to the city centre. Only downside was the lack of restaurant on Sunday evening
Brendan
Conveniently located and walkable to the town centre. Staff were exceptional in service.
Sharen
Easy access to rooms. Engaging staff.

Always look at Best Western options for any accommodation needs first - if available and suitable location we choose them - have never had a bad experience.

The room was nice and clean. The size of the room was generous, not like a city hotel.
The Spa suite was recently renovated.
The Nespresso machine was great!
A little road noise outside, but in the evenings it was quiet.
There is a lovely park/ river across the road. Lovely spot.

Booked Non Smoking room with balcony.
Stupid thing here is that hotel policy allows smoking on balcony.
So our room is actually not non smoking as our neighbours chained smoked and thus the smoke drifts into your room and cannot enjoy the balcony you paid extra for.
Complained to management but all they did was move them to the next room down. Smoke still drifts and was unpleasant and spoilt our stay.
Simple resolution is have smokers stay with balcony’s facing Dean st and non smokers the other.
Your welcome.

Half closed hotel - still full price!
Tired hotel overdue for a refurb. We booked this hotel because it had a restaurant and bar, unfortunately they were closed because they had given the staff a long Xmas holiday. Had we known they were only offering a much reduced service we would have booked elsewhere. They did not have the courtesy to inform us of this beforehand.

I've stayed at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn several times and have always been impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the rooms. I nice and warm (in Dec/Jan) pool area near the reception area and spacious rooms.
