The hotel room was very clean, spacious and had what you needed for a short stay. The grounds are pretty basic with free parking outside your room door. Bed was very comfortable. Located in the business area of Wodonga and not far from the local shopping precint. Value for money. Easy access with door code, not needing to worry about keys. Would stay again.

The staff rating scores 1star, because there were no staff.

Everything was managed by emails and I didn’t see a single staff member in my two night stay there.

It is cost effective but otherwise drab and dated.

Not a good choice

Electronic check-in that demands payment and card details. Had to ring reception twice before someone would check us in. Room door was already open because lock broken. most of the doors same, booted in. Place that homeless locals use and 'characters', felt unsafe, my husband fixed door, screws all loose. Basic hotel not worth the money, never staying again. Looked better on the internet.

There was scum around the tap.
Our queen size bed had a single size electric blanket that ran down one side.
Towels smelt like smoke since the linen closet is infront of the smokers area.
Other guests were noisy out the front of our room.
Door had to be slammed shut to close properly because the lock would stick.

Had a guest tell me she was placed there by police for her own protection.

I was charged again for the room upon check-in. The room was not good. First impressions were tainted by front door where the door handle was hanging off the screws. The door has been locked in at some point judging by the damage and repair job. The door did not sit in the frame properly and there was a 1 cm gap at the bottom.

The bathroom door was damaged with a big hole in it and would not shut properly. The door was obviously hitting the towel rack so a stopper is now in place.

There was also a large gouge in the wall, a light above the bed was coming off the wall, the toilet constantly ran and there were holes on the wall where a fixture was bolted on at some point and taken off and not filled but painted over. The room was obviously renovated by someone who did not know the first thing about painting or repairs.

On the upside the location close to town and the appliances were relatively new.

I did like the 24hour check-in option which made checking in at 10pm a real breeze. Unfortunately entering our room we were inundated with diesel smell the entire stay. With the windows open all you could here was a noisy generator/motor which eventually turned off later in the night. Closing the window did dampen it slightly. The building lights did make it hard to get to sleep would be better if the blinds were installed blocked all the light.

Loved the self check in, it made the drive down less stressful because we weren’t worried about trying to make a check in deadline. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable and it was extremely good value for money. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next Melbourne/Sydney trip!
