Website photos of property look great however property is very run down, services such as indoor spa were not available as were in poor condition, outdoor car park and entrance were littered with fencing and even main signage damaged. The room was ok, clean and tidy however during stay, toilet roll holder fell off wall as did towel rail. Staff were not on site at check in time 2.00 and no answer at doorbell or phone, finally cleaner did come to reception for checkin after waiting for 30 minutes, reception was then rarely manned for reporting issues such as those mention above. The location was central to needs and reasonably cheap.

The checkin process was easy - we were texted the room door code. The room however wasn't very clean. The cornice was coming away from the ceiling and 2 of the beds had a lot of dirt/dust from the ceiling all over the pillows. The bathroom had lots of dead bugs/marks to the ceiling, And an obvious large cobweb by the toilet paper and the hairdryer was no longer there, just the bracket on the wall. The shower pipes made a loud clang when you turned them on!

The room was clean but VERY dated
Was closest room to Hume highway so very noisey.
The aircon worked but the batteries in remote were flat so had to purchase batteries from across the road .

The pool is best described as a pond, it was filthy with rotting leaf litter on the bottom, there was zero change we would swim in it
The Spa and Sauna are permanently closed much to our surprise.
We understand it’s a budget hotel but still a disappointing stay.

Our room had very soft mattresses, and was quite dated, but generally had extra space, a pool outside and a hot tub. It had a small fridge and some crockery and cutlery. It was comfortable enough for 1 night. It certainly was not an 8.8 rating. I might give it a 7.8-8

Staff had left for dinner when we arrived. There was a big home # to call and they came back to give us our key. They were helpful.

If you overlook the detail the accommodation was reasonably priced, was clean, water was hot, and AC worked and the location was quiet but still provided quick access to the Hume Highway. It had more good things than picky negative things. It also has access to the \"Bullring\" an excellent (excellent) restaurant for the evening meal and access to a great breakfast in all you couldn't go wrong choosing \"Crystal Fountain Motel\"

Worst stay ever

There were beetles everywhere, could not sleep whole night. Kids couldn’t sleep as there were 100s of beetles since our room didn’t had any door seal and by the time we knew that the beetles are coming from under neath the door, we had 100s of them in the room. Also the room is smelly, damp and have slider webs everywhere. Highly unhigenic to stay with kids. Worst ever stay.

Great find.

This was a great find for us in Albury. We needed a room to stay at short notice after we decided not to camp in the rain! We had a caravan in tow and needed somewhere to stay that would accomodate us. The guys at Crystal Fountain were very accomodating even offering to help us park the van.
The room was great. Clean, comfy bed, good linen and a great shower - all the things you need on a road trip. And we got a great price!
A set of crockery is provided as well as a toaster which is great for a quick breakfast before getting back on the road. The only thing I would say is that a tea towel would have been useful- not sure if it was just our unit that was missing one. I’m not opposed to washing the dishes and putting them away again but I need a tea towel to dry them with!

I booked this place because the pool looked really nice and I thought I might enjoy a relaxing swim after a long drive. After I checked in, I could hear a cacophony of screaming children coming from the pool area so I put that idea on hold.
Instead I went looking for something to eat and found the local area was disappointing with lots of fast food restaurants but nothing of substance.
By the time I got back to my room I was exhausted.
I thought a hot shower would be great at this point but as I searched around the room I couldn't find a single bath towel.
I badly needed a good night's sleep but the bed was not comfortable. The mattress was too soft and offered no support at all. The room was hot and stuffy but thankfully the aircon worked well. In the morning I woke up feeling sore all over. I was really desperate for a hot shower so I called the reception a few times but nobody answered. In the end I went ahead and showered with only a hand towel and a couple of face towels to dry myself.
The shower head was also a joke. It was positioned so low that I had to squat or duck to get my hair and face wet. The temperature and pressure were great but the stream was so narrow that I could only wash one limb at a time. In summer this was OK but in winter it would have been hell.
The pool was empty at this point but I still had no towel. When I returned my key I saw a sign that said reception was only staffed from 10am to 7pm.
