Our stay at Hotel Bo was incredible from start to finish. The level of service here was a breath of fresh air. Every single staff member we encountered, from the welcoming greeting at the door to the efficient check-in and the attentive cleaning staff was amazing.
The hotel itself is a sanctuary. It is exceptionally calm, with beautiful gardens and a very pleasant, curated atmosphere (even the background music and soundscapes were perfect). Our room was incredibly comfortable and well-designed.
A few highlights:
The Food & Drinks: The restaurant is top-tier; every meal and cocktail was excellent.
The Tours: We used the hotel’s drivers for trips to Sumidero Canyon and Palenque. They were professional, friendly, and made the long journeys seamless.
The Staff: Unlike other places we’ve stayed, the team here truly makes you feel like a valued guest.
If you are visiting San Cristóbal de las Casas, do not hesitate to stay here. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

The overall hotel is ok , we stayed at the best suite of the hotel… however we experienced a few issues : WIFI WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS SUITE !!! …. They DO NOT have frigo-bar inside the room, they ONLY provide two small bottles of water per day ( that’s it ) , they ONLY provide TWO bath towels, so we were asking for more towels every si how day we were there … food is good , excellent breakfast, staff is very friendly , but the overall experience was a just regular one

Would recommend however the people at front desk were not always friendly, it really depended who was there. We were surprised by the hit or miss treatment because of the amount of time we spent there in the restaurant, bar, and the shop. Not to mention we booked a second room during our stay. So most of our money spent in San Cristobal went directly to the hotel. The rest of the hotel staff was amazing and made up for it. Along with the beauty of the grounds and hotel.

Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Service amazing, more so in the restaurant and the room maintenance people than at front desk. Front desk people were hit or miss and not as friendly as the employees throughout the rest of the hotel. The gentleman that was the overnight front desk reception was the friendliest, with the day time people being a touch on the snotty side. Somewhat disappointing but not enough to ruin our stay or our love for hotel Bo. We will return.

The luxury retreat in San Cristobal

Hotel Bo is one of the top end hotels in San Cristobal. Even though it has been open for a while it remains refreshed. The design of the hotel surrounds a garden and the position of the hotel looks towards the mountains. Even though this hotel is in the center of town it feels a little removed because of the nature. The restaurant is also a nice touch since you can have all three meals here and prices are very good in the restaurant. The executive suites are great with a view of the wall of vines. I could sit in bed all day and just enjoy the view. The amenities in the bathroom were also nice and smelled good. For those that want a special retreat to relax in San Cristobal, this is a good place.

Excellent boutique hotel, lovely staff

The hotel is an amazing boutique hotel in a very nice town. As you get off the street and into the hotel, it is an oasis of peace and calm from the otherwise narrow and busy streets! The staff are extremely friendly, very helpful, and it was a shame that we stayed only for a night here. We had an early morning start the next day, and they offered to have a staff member keep some coffee and tea ready well before their normal time, which was a nice gesture. The restaurant was very good and vegetarian friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. And the location was quite convenient to walk to the centre of the town. We used them to organise our transportation and, while we don't speak much Spanish, we went with their Spanish-speaking driver - he was extremely helpful, tried his best to give us ongoing narrative of the place with the limited English he knew and the limited Spanish we did! Excellent experience using Hotel Bo overall - definitely recommend the place.

This is a modern designer hotel within a close walking distance from the town centre. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and cosy with great care to both design and practicability. The hotel has a great restaurant, Lum, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to stay in San Cristobal.

This maybe be the best architecturally aesthetic hotel in town, as well as the most expensive. Our room is fitted with all modern necessities, with the only complain of the lack of ventilation. With cool nights in sancristobal, there is no air con needed in the room. However it would justify the need for an openable window for fresh air. We had to open the door for a bit every time we came back to the room because it smelt stale damp air. Nevertheless, the beauty of the hotel lobby and garden made it all worthwhile. Be sure to go to the back lounge room for some internet surfing while taking in the beautiful view of the garden

Best service ever!

My wife became ill and we wanted to stay in a San Cristobal hotel that would be relaxing and with all services. We couldn't have chosen a better location. Everyone on the staff was aware of our situation and was very gracious. But we had two more issues that they really helped. Our car's external mirror was clipped off and the front desk arranged everything for the repair. And when i left my cellphone charger in the room on our departure I got a personal call right away so I could retrieve the missing item. The restaurant and rooms are great and I highly recommend!

This place is a small boutique hotel, everybody is so kind and informative, Our room was nice but noisy, you can hear people walking by the corridors and conversations from the bar. When we arrived we asked for margaritas at the bar and they had a weird flavour, we told our waiter and he said the bartender was off that day so he made the margaritas himself, we liked his cander but thought it was odd of a place like this with no bar tenders. On friday we invited friends over for dinner, they were staying at another hotel, when they arrived at the Bo we came down from our room and what a big surprise!!! We Were told we could not have dinner there because the hotel had a private party for someone (no notices from the hotel no apologises) we ended up taking a cab and had dinner somewhere else, when we came back to the hotel the party was over so we asked for a glass of wine and we were told there was no more wine everything was gone (hard to belive). At check out we asked the front desk girl for a comments book she said they did not have one, then I asked for the manager and she said the manager was not there. We had that wekend lots of friends staying in different hotels in San Cristobal since we were there for a wedding and heard great comments of other hotels that were half or less the money we paid for the Bo, If you decide to stay there and want to relax ask for the rooms at the end of the hall.

My place for peace...

This is my 2nd visit there, this is just an amazing place. If possible, I'll visit more often. Staff is just great. If I had to provide feedback, would only be to get more organized during breakfast with the waiting staff although it is a great service in general in all the hotel.

It's a beautiful hotel located very close to all the action, yet wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The food was very good and the staff was excellent. Our only negatives had to do with the design of the Junior suite; the indirect lighting made it very dim and the bathroom hidden behind a mirrored sliding door made for a pretty startling late-night trip to the bathroom when you saw your own reflection approaching. The bed and linens were wonderful, and bless them for supplying a quiet space heater that was very effective.

Not only is this a beautiful hotel located in an unbeatable location, but the staff is awesome. From the doorman, to the cleaning crew everyone is willing to go the extra mile. For example: we arrived under an unbelievable storm, and the doorman made sure that we and our luggage got from the taxi to the room dry and safe, although at the end he was completely drenched. Just an example of the exemplary service and level of detail we enjoyed in our stay. The restaurant is good, the grounds are beautifully maintained. This hotel is a small jewel. It would benefit the guest to read a little about Chiapas before arriving to discover the many clues the designers of the hotel have put to honor this amazing place. For example a puzzle: why all the hexagons? Where do those amazing fabrica come from? Etc. Summary: amazing!

I've stayed in all sorts of hotels all over the world and BO ranks way up on my list. The place is beautifully designed and decorated and the service is top notch even before you get there. I exchanged emails with Ruben from the front desk who was incredibly helpful in organizing my itinerary and all types of tours. Once I arrived he proved to be by far one of the most knowledgeable hotel employees I've ever met. The hotel also went the extra step in making us feel welcome and comfortable: our clothes, soaked from the rain, were dried and folded without us even asking for it.
The rooms are awesome and the beds are bits of cloud to sleep in.
Food at the restaurant is delicious and very reasonably priced.
Overall BO gets a solid 10 out of 10. Best part is that the rate on hotels.com was even lower than the published rate at the front desk. #winning

An experience not just holidays! Amazing peace!

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in . The decor, restaurant, specially the excelent service of all the staff (stayed in different parts of the world and Mexico and never been in such a wonderful place combined with wonderful service). I travelled alone last week and everyone in the hotel was so kind, caring, service oriented. This was a great experience and can tell I found the peace I was looking for in my recent holidays. Rubén, the consierge is a keeper! his joy is contagious and he genuinly cares about the guests and enjoys what he does. So proud that Mexico has hotels like this one

Best place in Town

Even though there was a problem with my car (I left it at the Valet and was hit while parking), the management responded in an outstanding form. First of all, the hotel assumed all expenses, a driver with a car was assigned to my disposal, the insurance paperwork was properly handed; in sum, all inconveniences were taken care off. This was an accident, but the hotel responded appropriately. Aside from that, our stay was perfect and the food outstanding. I will be back!
