It is a beautiful property and the concept is very nice, the only downfalls are the beds (hard as a rock) and shower needs to be deep-cleaned or be remodel. Breakfast, excellent, good staff service.

The location was ideal for walking to town and seeing sights. We lost a phone while there, and staff were helpful to us to look for it. However we looked under furniture where a very thick layer of dust covered the floors, never been swept under the beds or dressers. Don’t stay in Room 75 until they correct the shower plumbing as the odor is extremely offensive. Breakfasts were very good, juice and fruit and bread are self serve, eggs are served if you ask for it. Generally we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Good and bad...

The location, service and breakfast was great. The only thing they need to work on is the bathroom cleanliness. The shower head was rusted and the water was everywhere. Also the smell of the drain was intense.

Be ready to wake up a few times at night...

Don't forget your earpods, this place is noisy... We stayed in two different rooms in different sides and floors of the building and both were extremely noisy. They should provide complementary earpods. Other than that, the breakfast was good, friendly staff and good location. The building is nice too.

Lovely decor, very attentive and kind staff, clean, good breakfast which was included. Only but was that noise travels easily through walls/doors/windows. As long as neighbors go to bed and wake up at the same time as u do, nk issues. Our neighbors were awake past midnight chatting and walls did not mute this. Must be material used for construction (adobe?).
Unfortunately, not much hotel can do but ask patrons to be mindful.

We almost didnt book Casa Indigo because of some negative reviews...but I am glad we pushed ahead and went in our own direction...First...Casa Indigo isnt the Ritz or Hilton...it is a traditional San Cristobol hotel...in a old area of town, just a few blocks from the centre...which is a huge bonus!...across the street is a beautiful park and Amber Museum....driving in San Cristobel isnt for everyone...quite confusing but Casa has secure parking just around the corner....Second....Arturo the manager and all the staff are amazing...very helpful...polite...accomadating...enough said....Third...breakfast was no frills but eggs, freshly chopped veggies...hot tortillas, coffee, fresh fruit...very very nice..and the lady who prepares, was super nice....the room was comfortable, clean...yes it is an old place and even the keys are like they came from a castle, but this is the charm about Casa Indigo...Lastly, the price is unheard of, for this location...at least half of what any other place goes for...we spent 2 nights and wish we could have spent another, as San Cristobel has a magical feel and is so different from any other place we have visited in Mexico!

Great choice

Great hotel - it was a great price, with breakfast included, and had character. It was a bit away from the main tourist area but easily walkable. Got a room with a window (they called it a balcony) which made the room a little cool and allowed in some street noise, but it was a fairly quiet neighbourhood. There are also interior rooms where these things wouldn't have been an issue but they seemed a bit dark.

pros-convenient location (close to downtown/center), wonderful staff, great complimentary breakfast, good price. might be one of the best options in town for this price.
cons-rooms and building old and not so clean, walls are thin and can hear noise from the hallway and outside; it can be loud at night with cars going by.

Not our favorite hotel, but it's nice enough

It's a nice hotel and very clean, but we wouldn't stay here again. Plusses: They couldn't find our reservation but they accommodated us anyway. Our 5-night stay included a pretty good breakfast. The cook was even willing to add a few fruits and vegetables we bought at the market. Location is reasonably central, less than 10 min. walk to the main area. Minuses: Hard beds for one. Many rooms have low ceilings and they're small and dark, but nicely appointed. We moved to a third-floor room, which had a regular-size window and high ceilings. The king beds are 2 fulls together on a frame.

Attractive hotel, mildewy room

The hotel overall is attractive with a friendly staff and a full free breakfast with decent coffee. Our room, #60, was not as great. It was on the street side on street level with no curtains, only shutters. This meant we had to have the shutters closed whenever we were getting dressed, etc. The street noise was not too bad, but room 60 is right next to the hotel transformer room so there was a constant annoying buzz. The bathroom smelled very mildewy and the smell permeated the room. Finally, there was only one bedside table, which was inconvenient. If you try this hotel, get a different room.

No vuelvo a llegar al pozo del colchón

Los colchones pésimo, mejor dormir en el suelo, se les contento si los cambiaban, teniendo habitaciones vacías y no lo hicieron, no cambias las toallas, siempre las misma en los 7 días que estuvimos y te dejan cafetera pero nunca te ponen café, solo el primer día y un día nos dejaron sin rollo sanitario

Hotel pequeño pero super lindo, cómodo; el personal super amable!!!... Ahí contraté todos los tours, y pasan por ti al hotel, no sé si por la ubicación del hotel, pero, mi familia y yo eramos los primeros en subir a la camioneta que pasaba por nosotros, así que teníamos la ventaja de escoger los lugares.
Está a 4 cuadras del centro de San Cristobal, distancia super accesible para ir caminando, viendo tienditas, ir al oxxo, a un bar y regresar de la misma manera.

El desayuno es sencillo, pero rico.

El problema con el hotel es que tiene paredes aparentes , que dejan traspasar todo el ruido del vecino y no solo eso, la última noche eran las 10 pm aproximadamente y por cerca de 15 minutos nuestros oídos interactuaron con un TALADRO!
El personal y la calidad del desayuno, son inmejorables pero el descanso en el hotel, lo cuestionamos seriamente

The hotel is great. The only problem was that there is a lot of wood and becomes noisy when people walks up the stairs. Also, the door locks are nice and rustic but very difficult and noisy to operate. Finally, the hotel failed to maintain a quite environnent during the night. A lot of people talking and shouting, coming from partying in the middle of the night without any consideration for other guests. Other than that the hotel is great.

al llegar al hotel nos dieron una habitación, nos instalamos y salimos. Avisamos en recepción que hacía falta una toalla de baño, una de manos y un tapete par el baño. Al regresar por la noche ns dimos cuenta de que no habían puesto las toallas, además la puerta de la habitación no cerraba por dentro! Traté de llamar a la recepción para reportar esto y el teléfono no tenía línea!!! Nos cambiaron de habitación. Al abrir la cama de esta segunda habitación, para descansar nos dimos cuenta que las sábanas y las almohadas de la cama estaban MOJADAS! Nos cambiaron a una TERCERA habitación que si funcionó- Muy mala experiencia

Cosas positivas: La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca del centro, del museo de ambar, del mercado de artesanias, etc.
Cosas neutrales: Los empleados son correctos y amables, pero nada simpáticos, no hay forma de establecer una conversación con ellos.
Cosas negativas. La habitación es extremadamente pequeña, la ventilación es nula por lo tanto huele mal, las almohadas son malas, de hecho mas que almohadas son cojines, no ayudan al descanso. La acústica del lugar en muy buena, ni hablar, toooodo se escucha: puertas, pisadas, voces, desague, etc.

Si tu idea es un viaje de descanso, esta definitivamente no es opción para ti, si lo que necesitas es ubicación estratégica, y no te importa la comodidad, es el lugar ideal.

Me encantó la habitación, es súper colonial, olía a limpio, delicioso, era pequeña, pero contaba con plancha, un burrito para planchar, caja de seguridad, cafetera, teléfono, t.v., Wifi, room service. Desayuno incluído. La llave de la puerta muy original, es de esas grandotas antiguas, como de las abuelas. Súper céntrico y casi a un lado del mercado de las artesanías.

El hotel cuenta con una excelente ubicación pues se encuentra a un par de cuadras de la plaza principal y catedral de San Cristóbal de las Casas; el personal es muy amable y siempre esta dispuesto a solucionar problemas, además de orientarte a actividades para realizar; los blancos están muy limpios, el pero que le pongo es que las toallas está muy viejas pienso que podrían invertir un poco en este punto y coincidió que uno de mis días de estancia tuvieron un desperfecto con el agua y estuvimos un par de horas sin el servicio. Lo recomiendo y regresaría a hospedarme ahí.

El hotel es tipo rústico, aúnque en la descripción dice k solo se puede hacer check in entre 3 y 5 pm, si t pones en contacto con recepción, te pueden atender despues de ese horario , por ejemplo yo llegue hasta las 10:30pm. Ofrecen desayuno, muy básico , pero está bien, otros hoteles de la zona , por el mismo precio no lo hacen.
Está a 3 cuadras de los famosos andadores y del centro de san Cristóbal.

Puedo decir que me sorprendió al conocer el hotel, pues con las fotos que había visto no me formaba una idea real del sitio; sin embargo me sorprendió la decoración, ya que toman en cuenta el estilo rústico que acompaña ese encanto que solo San Cristóbal te puede ofrecer. Además todos los que ahí trabajan te hacen sentir cómodo como si estuvieras en casa, todos son muy amables y te atienden de maravilla.

En cuanto a algunos de los servicios que ofrecen por ejemplo, wifi si tiene es gratuito y casi no falla; el desayuno a pesar de que el plan es Americano, la verdad es que no necesitas más ya que todo está muy rico y abundante; también te ayudan a planear algunos tours o incluso te ayudan a guiarte por la ciudad para ir a los sitios de interés, en cuanto a limpieza de las habitaciones muy bien solo el detalle de que a veces no cambian la cama durante tu estancia, supongo que como en algunos hoteles de grandes cadenas tratan de ahorrar agua, solo falta que te lo hagan saber para que no te sorprenda.

En general mi estancia fue placentera y cómoda; por lo tanto, yo lo recomiendo si piensas viajar a San Crstóbal y conocer éste pueblo mágico.

El lugar está muy lindo, pero el cuarto no tenía espacio para colocar la maleta, y el closet era muy pequeño y estaba sucio. nos quedamos sin agua un día mientras nos bañábamos. La atención de la srita Maggie fenomenal, ella hace que el lugar sea mejor.

Trop de bruit à toute heure du jour.

Hôtel où le bruit se répercute facilement. Même après une demande de notre part suite à une premiére nuit sans sommeil, le personnel n'intervient pas le soir suivant. Cris d'une chambre à l'autre, enfants qui courent et hurlent tard le soir, tôt le matin. Groupe qui fait la fête tard la nuit. Cette situation n'est pas habituelle au Mexique.
Internet peu fonctionnel dans les chambres.
Eau chaude presque inexistante.

Recomendado excelente relación precio calidad

El hotel en muy buen estado, habitaciones limpias, buena ubicación, ofrecen desayuno incluido, lo único malo es que se escuchan todo los ruidos de las personas y si te toca habitaciones que dan a la calle peor, si tu plan es ir a caminar y estar todo el dia en la calle esta excelente.
