Good place to stay!

Wonderful! We did ask to move to an upper floor, so we could get more sun into our room. We would have liked coffee in our room every morning but they only provide it the first morning and we were there for a week. We will stay there again.

Hotel is in a good location. Not too far from the walking streets (Andadores) Nice hotel, water took 10 minutes to warm up after that it was very hot. However, water ran out very quickly. Room did not have enough toiletries and we had to request extra towels. No wifi in the room, you had to go to the main lobby to have access to the wifi. A computer was there for guest to use, but if you needed to print your boarding pass, you had to pay for each copy. If you only need a place to sleep, this hotel is good for that.

I like the convenience, simple but ample rooms, and restaurant. The wifi is strong in reception/restaurant, but iffy in the rooms. The hot water is sometimes just (barely) warm.

Nice hotel with large rooms off a central garden with an in-house restaurant with reasonable prices. The WiFi does not extend to all the rooms, so be sure to check before you unpack, if that matters to you.

Coffee machine but no coffee, Noise through the night with people arguing, could not use hair dryer without blackout, beds extremely hard, no air con or heating, poor water supply, no water at 7.30am to have shower.
Toilet keeps running when flushed, curtains stink of dust!!!,

I certainly recommend this hotel as it is close to everything: central square, walking street. The room was as on photo, very clean and fully equipped. Hotel has very good design. Unfortunately wi-fi not working in my room 250.

Overbooked, no room for me even it was prepaid!

I booked and PAID for the room 3 months before my stay. When I came I was told they were overbooked and will put me to a different hotel. It was a very unpleasant surprise. They showed me 3 hotels to choose from, but all of them of much worse quality (if something like that happens, you should put the guesst into a better hotel not a worse one)! I left my phone number and email on the reservation, so why didn´t anyone let me know in advance that they don´t have my room??? Expedia or the hotel should have let me know.

Great experience!

it was truly a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The staff was great!! From Humberto, Marilu and Viviana in the front desk to Manolo the bell boy, cook and everything else you need from him, he would do it all.lol. Make sure to meet Manolo on your next visit, he is funny and great! Overall a great experience and the price is great. Close to everything, downtown, shopping and restaurants.

Our stay at this hotel was great

We would have liked another chair in the room. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect stay. It was quiet and friendly. For us it was close enough to all the activities that we were involved in. I would definitely stay there again!!!

Very nice hotel next to city center. Quite, clean with flat screen tv and wifi. Loading and unloading is difficult if you are driving. There is no heat in the room which gets very cool at night. They do provide heavy warm blankets.

A clean, new hotel

We were given an early check-in, which was much appreciated after getting off a night bus. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the ADO bus station, and everywhere in town is accessible on foot, which is luck as the narrow streets reduce traffic to a crawl. The hotel is new and clean, but somehow lacking in character. The rooms include a safe, big flat-screen TV, good shower and coffee machine (but no coffee!). Unfortunately the manager made rather a faux-pas by bursting into our (locked) room to find me stark naked. Perhaps in the absence of secondary inside locks, knocking first should be more of a priority. The food at the restaurant was, by turns, disappointing and surprisingly good, but the breakfast menu could perhaps be re-designed so as to make more sense to the staff, who were left floundering a little when trying to work out what to serve and at what cost.

The lady from the lobby could not help me solve my problem, she couldnt even lend me the phone so I can communicate with you. I used my cell phone to call you and they let me an hour waiting and did not solve my problem.

Great, but has Hidden Costs

The hotel itself is great--a quiet little boutique hotel. However be aware that it costs 1000 pesos a night. Even if you pay a particular rate on hotels.com you will pay the difference when you check in. We paid 53 USD per night and then had to pay an additional fees. So for 3 mights it was almost $350 USD. If you are on a budget then be aware. You are not getting a deal on hotels.com, you are just putting down a deposit on a much more expensive hotel.

Great place in San Cristóbal de las casas.

The location is perfect in order to visit all downtown. The place is quiet, the staff very polite & friendly, the room was very clean, rustic and every day the towels were a piece of art.
At the restaurant I met Sergio, the owner (who told me that the bank and him were the owners -great sens of humor-), and he invited me to join his team who was setting a new promotional Internet video. I had a great time. I'm sure that if I return to San Cristóbal it will be there.

Clean room, fantastic service but is cold.

We liked the service, food, location, cleanliness and the hot water of our room. The only concern was, the rooms don't have heaters, I never imagined that I will need one in the middle of June, but the room was cold and humid for the raining season. I just asked for a extra blanket. Just having this in mind I will recommend this hotel.

New, nice hotel close to center.

Already stayed in few different places in San Cristobal. This hotel is very nice, feels new and well kept. No humidity, rooms are very clean, each with a huge window into an interior patio/graden. Location is good, but not great. It is about ten minutes walk to the cathedral.

a new clean hotel.

Our expectations usually are pretty low.A comfortable bed and hot water for showers go a long way and this hotel provided that.laundry services almost across the street. A little restaurant in the hotel also welcome.I wouldn't say the place had a lot of charm and a slightly longer walk to the main square but those were no big deal for us.

Great new hotel 5 minutes to city centre

Hotel is great! New, made of wood, beds are super comfy, some rooms ( the ones on the 3rd floor) have a small balcony, there's a restaurant in the hotel which serves great breakfasts ( although 9if you want cheaper you can walk to the comedores outside the market that happens to be around the corner. Also, it is 5 min walking distance to the city centre.

The only drawback for us was the parking, it s near the hotel but not next door, and someone needs to take you where it is the first time and open it for you every time you want to get in or out.

But overall, great experience we we'd definitely recommend it and go back again!

Had a good experience overall.
It's a nice hotel compared to others I saw in town. Do not expect resorts nor high end 5star hotels. This is a very basic hotel for american standards, but decent clean and great location. People are nice and friendly. Only problem I found was not having heater. It gets really cold during winter nights. Most hotels don't have heater system, so you will use all blankets and better e prepare with warm pjs

I travel to chiapas with 3 other family members. The hotel is very nice, clean and new. Staff very helpful and polite. We stayed for 2 nights and when we check out I forgot my jacket there. We when to the lacandon site for 2 days and comeback to check 1 more night in Axkan and they have save my jacket. I was really please with their service and their honesty. I will recomend it.

Not convenient for vehicle owners

You have to stop in the narrow street and block all traffic until they are honking in order to check in. We were told to find parking on the street a block away until 7PM because there was no one to open the parking lot that is 3 blocks away. After 7PM I went to the office to get someone to open the parking lot and was told it was too late because the person who opens it had left. I had to get very firm (almost nasty) in order to get them to open the parking lot. This is not a good place for traveling with your own car and taking the bags and luggage that makes it a special stay. There are many other hotels in San Cristobal that have onsite parking. On the positive side, if you arrive by bus and taxi, it is a nice, modern style hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Their showers have very little pressure and their soap and shampoo are worthless. Best to bring your own. By the way, we registered online for a room with a king bed and were given a room with two doubles.

Nice new hotel

Overall nice and clean rooms. We had one double bed with balcony. Staff were kind and helpful. Basic amenities but perfect for the value. The hotel is located close to the main square where the bistros and restaurants streets merge (about 3 large blocks). The hotel description says it has AC but the room didn´t so it gets a little chill at night. San Cristobal temperature is cold compared with Tuxtla Gutierrez (residents even use jackets in plain summer). Overall nice stay for couples.

it's a nice little hotel in San Cristobal, 5 minutes walk from the central bus station and 10 minutes from the town's main plaza. the hotel's page states that there is Air Conditioning and a Safe, but there aren't any in the rooms (we've had 2 different rooms with a king size bed). it got cold at night (august) and we had to ask for an extra blanket. the staff were friendly but didn't speak english, and while there were hot water (sometimes too hot) the flow was rather weak. overall good for the price, but far form the score it has here.

Inesperado, cómodo y algo decepcionante.

Acorde a estar libre de ruido es excelente, la limpieza también. Hubieron detalles como el internet, que no llega en todas habitaciones, la regadera no tuvo presión, pero siempre hubo agua calientita. El único detalle es que no respeto los 4 días contratados, nos mandaron a otro hotel la última noche. La ubicación es estupenda y hay vigilancia todo el tiempo.

Buen hotel, excelente servicio pero con deficienci

El personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, sin embargo los controles para la TV y para el cable no servían, los cambie y los otros no tenían baterías, después el baño no tenía jabón ni shampoo, todo lo demás muy bien, tiene muy buena ubicación.

Bien si solo quieren dormir

Muy buena ubicación, a una cuadra del Mercado de artesanías, check in rápido, cama cómoda, sin embargo la iluminación de la habitación es pobre, el cable con fallas en la TV, aunque no lo use mucho el tiempo que lo utilice con muchas fallas en los canales, la recepción del wifi pésima, no llegaba hasta mi habitación y lo que llegaba decía que la contraseña era incorrecta, fui en dos ocasiones a reportarlo y solo me volvieron a dar el papelito con la contraseña.
Es un buen lugar solo para pasar la noche.

Nos dejó una grata impresión ya que desde que llegamos la persona de recepción nos ayudo con
las maletas y nos proporcionó la información que requeriamos del hotel y de la ciudad, los alimentos
del restaurant de buena calidad y con un muy buen sazón y los precios son accesibles, la ubicación perfecta para poder visitar la ciudad y los alrededores y nos agradó que fuera cómodo el descanso

El hotel está muy bien ubicado y es limpio pero es incómodo, las camas están muy duras, es frío y se oye todo lo que hablan en los pasillos y en otras habitaciones. Solo dejan botellas de agua el primer día y el restaurante no es bueno aunque es muy barato. No volvería pero lo recomendaría a quien quiera un lugar bien ubicado y no le importe la incomodidad.

Reserve 1 semana antes pidiendo habitación con 1 cama y me dieron con dos chicas. En la noche pedí extender la habitación 1 noche más y en la mañana me dijeron que tenía que salirme \" porque en la madrugada se vendieron las habitaciones\" Pésima atención de la recepcionista

Der Aufenthalt war kurz und kalt. Da die Temperaturen in den Bergen stark sinken befinden sich mehrere Wolldecken im Zimmer.
Leider hat keines der Angestellten Englisch gesprochen und der Check-in daher ziemlich lange gedauert. Freies Parken ist auf der Straße zwar möglich aber das Parkhaus ist kostenpflichtig.

Terrible primera impresion por culpa de Axkan.

Aun y cuando habia separado una habitacion con 4 meses de anticipacion al llegar no tenian cupo en el Axkan Arte, y decidieron moverno a Axkan Jovel en el cual nos ofrecieron una habitacion horrible y en la cual no me quede. Nos ofrecieron una tercera opcion Axkan Express en el cual me hospede al final. Pesima habilidad para resolver problemas por parte del staff. EL CLIENTE NO ES SU PRIORIDAD.

Otro problema imprevisto, es que soy alergico a algunas fibras como la lana y las camas tienen muchas cobijas con materiales como este, lo cual me causaba alergia diariamente.

Para no volver y no recomendar.

Mal servicio de agua potable y de uso. No tenían disponible agua para baño durante la mañana. El estacionamientos esta a cuadra y media, la información no lo establece así. Se agradecería el desayuno continental de cortesía, en muchos hoteles lo manejan.
