The hotel itself is beautiful and we loved the layout with lots of greenery. Staff was very attentive, helpful and polite. A plus is an enclosed garage to park a car if you have one.
Our only issues were the cleanliness of the room. Was not the best, we found several hairs on pillows and bedsheets upon lifting covers. They did quickly replace our covers when we brought it up to their attention.
A heads up for those not going for the saints celebration festivities. Avoid those days because you will not sleep since hotel is across a church. Celebrations are late at night. Not a negative to the hotel itself just the location. Others days are great.

They are very unfriendly to white foreigners, especially the short dark woman in the restaurant who behaves discourteously and bullies women and white people and talks behind their back. The staff are nice but not always professional.

This was ok but we had a few issues - went down to the breakfast area early at 7am to get a coffee to take back to the room & they charged us 40pesos each for 2 small cups when if we'd gone at that time for breakfast, coffee was unlimited.
Our room was also the furthest awày from the entrance possible & since the 2nd floor we were on had no lift & many different levels it was up & down all the time with our cases
The room itself, whilst fine, didn't have an outside opening window
The included breakfast was told to us as to what we were having rather than a menu to look at - our rate apparently was for an \"American breakfast\" & that was either eggs or pancakes, juice Or fruit & coffee. It was however fine.
The location was good however but in not sure if we'd stay again

I've stayed here twice now and it's been consistently okay. You can definitely expect the beds to be hard and uncomfortable—but the staff is very nice and they try to accommodate your needs. The wifi is a little difficult, but works after its setup. The inside of the hotel is beautiful, and the hotel is a walkable distance to the center square, so the location is great.

I liked the atmosphere of the hotel and environment of the hotel. Also I enjoyed the restaurant on the property. What I didn't like was the mattresses on the beds were to firm for me and the internet connection was to slow but that might because I was in Mexico.

I stayed here for 8 days, the staff was pleasant. I tried the restaurant once and the food was good. The wifi was a hit and miss. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't. Bathroom had mold on the walls and the drain in the shower was backuped. It would drain eventually but towards the end of my shower i would be standing in a puddle of water.

Very charming, great staff, and the restaurant was very tasty. Very well located in a quiet area yet close to the main attractions.

however, this location DESPERATELY needs to invest in new doors for the rooms, they are paper-thin, yet somehow manage to slam incredibly loudly due to the cheap doorknobs. Please Please replace them and become a 5 Star location, you can here every activity in the hallways all hours of the day.

Great location and beautiful architecture throughout, including lots of tiered spaces to curl up with a book or meet with friends--a roof top garden, cozy lobby, and interior restaurant with an open, street-like feel. Great for a longer stay because there is so much space to sprawl out. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and you can't beat the price for the service, location, and accommodations. The restaurant was delicious too--home-cooked and fresh! Great spot in San Cristobal! Thank you.

Outstanding little property about six blocks from the main plaza of the old part of the city, which is what you want to see. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit spartan compared to American hotels, but the charm and beauty of the central courtyard outweighs this.

Breakfast is traditional Mexican, complete with refried beans, corn chips, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices every morning on the buffet. All meals can be ordered a la carte also, and are amazing; especially the huevos rancheros!

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Cristobal.

A nice hotel --mid-grade

When we arrived, hotel front desk man was actually quite rude. I speak good Spanish and it was clear he didn't want to be very helpful. He immediately thrust a tour notebook at us and we hadn't even checked in. After an 8 hour bus ride, booking a tour was the last thing on my mind. He asked us three times. I finally told him I didn't have the brain capacity to book a tour and would look the next day. The hotel was fine but the walls a bit thin and the tour groups leaving at 4 a.m. and rolling their suitcases on the tile floor was annoying. We could hear the conversations in the next room. Very clean, It would have been nice to have the sheets changed at least once in four days. I might look for another when I go back to San Cristobol in the future. When we left the girl at the desk was on her phone on a personal call and we had to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention. Desk staff needs some retraining.

The hotel is just in front of an emblematic church in San Cristobal, very close to the downtown. Close to lot of shopping stores and restaurants. Was clean and comfy, I slept very good. But I think it is overpriced since is not a resort. Breakfast was abundant and delicious.

The hotel falsely advertised that they have air conditioning and king size beds. When we went to the reception to ask for a room with air conditioning and a king size bed as we ordered and payed for. The manager told us that they dont have king size beds and as for the air conditioning his respose was \"the weather of san cristobal is our air conditioning\". Additionally, we requesred before making the reservation for a gluten-free breakfast due to celiac's. The hotel assured us that they will make the adjustments but nothing was prepared and we ended up eating a simple omelet with fruits

The hotel architectural details is very pleasing. However the cacophony of the voices from the lobby affect the peaceful relaxation that I was expecting. The beds were a bit hard for my taste, and since the rooms have no air conditioning or heating, it was a bit cold in the night.

The room is kind of hippie like. The beds are extremely hard and the rooms are cold with no air con. Toilets are next to corridors and Windows are so thin you'll be heard pooping from outside.

The building was outstanding in cleanliness and well organized. Staff was always willing to help. The location for us was perfect, about 5 minute walk from the main plaza, away from the noise. I bought a package that included this hotel, so I cannot tell you about price, but my package was very affordable. I would and have recommended other family members traveling to San Cristobal to stay at Mansion del Valle!

The hotel staff is very nice and polite. The instalations are great including the roof top Terrence.
The room I stayed had 3 bed and a very small bathroom, before choosing the room we where advice so it was our need at the time.
The mattress I slept was a little hard and sometimes unconfortable but the room was clean and spotless.
I whold stay in the hotel again.

4 day stay in San Cristobal mid Feb 2015. Cool nights but ample bedding so slept very well. Breakfasts were good; lots of fruit, choice of eggs. We waited till after tour groups had eaten and had good attention from servers. Enjoyed rooftop terrace - choice of covered shade or open sunshine - with views in all directions.

The hotel was near the centre...very easy to walk most places. The lobby was nice but the room we had (214) was drab...needs updating. The room was very cold...no heating. They should have put a heater in the room rather than a fan. The bathroom was very small.It has a lovely roof top patio. The staff were rather abrupt.
It was noisy in the morning since people often banged the large wooden doors and shouted in the hotel which had a marked echo.

The hotel itself is nice, and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is polite and helpful. My only complaint: We were given only one bottle of water for two people, and when we asked for another, we were charged 16 pesos! Every other hotel we stayed in provided water at no cost.

Hemos ido varias veces y elegimos está opción, por su ubicación (a 2 cuadras de las calles principales), las habitaciones son confortables, decoraciones típicas, nos gusta mucho. Buenas opciones de desayuno. Limpio y nos gusta la vista de la terraza que tiene en la azotea.
