This place was off the historic center, I enjoy the stay in the 2 bed apartment. To get to, it requires a narrow side walk walk. They offer a few parking spots but can be challenging to access if traffic is heavy. After 10pm, they lock the property and you have to hit a buzzer to get in. I was not informed about this so I thought I was locked out for the night until I saw a buzzer above head level. I had a good stay.

Cold weather and no hot water. By the time we had warm water it was checkout time. Continental breakfast consisted of small sweet bread, coffee,tea and ripe bananas, a few apples.

Nice staff, noisy place

Staff were very nice to me each time I pointed out there was no hot water in the shower, and I was the only guest that week. Amazingly, it took until my last morning for the hot water to work properly. They did issue me with a refund.

Vheap hotel locatef in the centre of San Cristobal with parking
Great for sightseeing but was very old and basic
We only returned to the hotel at 11pm in the night so was ok for us

Quiet and chilled out with friendly staff

This was a very nice quiet and clean place with comfy beds and a good size bathroom. Shower took a while to heat up but thats a miniscule complaint. The staff were very friendly and available all hours of the night if need be. Its a 2 minute walk from the scenic church with 500 stairs and at most a 10 minute walk from the zoccalo and the popular restaraunts and bars. So its very tranquil. The price is good too considering what you get in return.

Weekend get away

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Only a 5 minute walk from the city center. Neighborhood was quiet and the room for the money was a good deal. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

great position

it is a short walk from the bus stop and to the centre of town, so a great position. I had one of the roof top rooms and the other one was not occupied so I had the roof balcony to myself. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I think some pervious reviewers had problems with the hot water. I did not. the staff did not offer help but would help if asked. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a bare bones, simple hotel, and is perfect for someone who does not want a fancy hotel. The only drawback is that although it is walking distance to the town center, the sidewalks are narrow and it is necessary to walk part of the way in the street. We would stay there again.

OK, but there are better hotels

I was rather disappointed with the hotel. The biggest factor was that their hot water was non-existent. One had to ask them to turn it on, and then it would take at least an hour sometimes more for it to actually come in. Sometimes I just gave up and took a cold shower which was not fun. The rooms are more run down than their web page lets on as well. There are better hotels in the same price range that don't have these issues. Go with them.

Quiet and Helpful

Our van from the border dropped us off in the center of town during a terrential downpour. After hopping into a cab for the hotel we were completely soaked well above our ankles. As we checked in the hotel desk volunteered to dry our clothes and shoes. We found this offer impressive for this part of the world.
The hotel itself is quiet with little areas outside the room to go online or meet with someone. Their internet service was excellent. The room was clean with large windows looking into the couryard. The bed was comfortable. But perhaps above all else, the water in the shower had excellent pressure and was HOT!

It was nice and clean considering the mexican standards. At the beginning we didn't get warm water from the shower and the flush of the wc was not working but the staff waas fast to solve the problems.

Not a great value

The comfort and the service where not at the level I would expect at the price paid. The hotel is reasonably close to the city center, but the street it is on is not very nice; a lot of cars speed along a narrow street with almost no sidewalks.
The service and facilities were quite basic, it would be OK for a European hotel, but in Mexico you can usually get a much better hotel for that price.

We had booked the room for four nights but checked out after the first night. The room had stained carpeting, the toilet leaked, the closet doors were off the tracks, the bed was very low and uncomfortable, and it was very far from the center of town, restaurants, etc. The hotel clerk was very helpful and booked us into another hotel owned by the same company, Los Jardines del Centro. This hotel was beautiful, well maintained, and in a great location.

Good value hotel close to the centre of the city

We stayed at this hotel twice, on the first arrival in San Cristobal, and on our second arrival after returning from Tapachula. The hotel is simple, but clean, secure, and a 5 minute walk to the major walking areas of the city. One nice bonus is the solid wifi signal found, allowing us to communicate with home every night we returned to the hotel.

The hotel also has a nice terrace at the top, overlooking the street and surrounding neighborhood. There are some nice flowers up there, along with tables and chairs. It's a nice place to spend some quiet time.

The only real negative I can think of is the fact that the place doesn't have a restaurant. If you want breakfast before setting out somewhere, you have to walk a few minutes to the central plaza area. This was not a huge deal for us, but for some people, this might be a deal breaker.

Overall, this hotel represents great value, and is in a convenient location (bonus: only a 5 minute drive to the bus station) allowing you to walk without having to pay for a taxi to get everywhere! If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, move along, but if you're looking for value, cleanliness, king size bed, and peace and quiet with a central location, this is a good choice!

Most people don't spend more than a couple of days in San Cristobal, so this place is a good choice for a rest stop for weary travelers!

Agradable el trato del personal, llegamos 3 horas antes del check in y nos dejaron entrar anticipadamente sin problema, la habitacion esta bien en general excepto por dos aspectos, solo habia un enchufe electrico, por lo cual solo podiamos cargar uno de los tres celulares y una laptop que llevabamos, y el segundo punto negativo seria que al retirar las sabanas de una de las camas, encontre una enorme y desagradable mancha en el colchon, de ahi en general todo correcto, volveriamos de corregirse este ultimo punto, ya que no es un hotel precisamente economico. 7.5/10 -Bueno-

Me gusto el trato del personal de recepcion y lo que no me gusto es que no contaban con buena iluminacion por la noche en el comedor y parte de la entrada principal como tampoco el concepto del desayuno continental solamente ofrecen cafe con pan y manzanas, creo que le falta mucho para cumplir con un desayuno continental

Las instalaciones del hotel son muy lindas y limpias, la atención en general también fue muy buena, el único inconveniente fue una noche que no hubo agua caliente para bañarme y un desayuno que no me dieron porque bajé a desayunar a las 10.30 y aunque el desayuno era hasta las 11.00 ya se había terminado.

Buena ubicación e instalaciones!!!!

El hotel se encuentra a unos pasos del centro histórico, por lo que su ubicación es inmejorable. El hotel en general tiene un agradable y bonito diseño, la zona es muy tranquila, lo recomiendo.

Pesimo hotel,no lo recomiendo

Nos fue muy mal,comenzando por el precio que les pagamos anticipado,la tarifa del hotel es 50% menos de lo que ustedes nos cobraron,.anticipadamente,NOS DEVOLOVERAN EL DINERO DE$ MAS PAGADO?, para acabarnos, nos dieron las habitaciones al pie de la caldera de lavado de ropa, con un gran ruido,a las 8am y la apagaron a las 5 pm, los niños desesperados,no pudieron descansar.En la mañana no había agua caliente,.NO había desayuno no habia gerente, para reclamarle,en fin muy descuidado el hotel,

Pues no muy bien:
El hotel esta de mediana comodidad, la zona esta bien, pero considerando que en san Cristóbal todo esta relativamente cerca, no es mucho,
1. En la recepción no te informan los beneficios que te dan, por ejemplo salí y entregue la llave y no fueron capaz de decirnos que había un bufete incluido allí
2. El wifi no llega a las habitaciones y no te ofrecen la clave
3. En el baño solo la regadera tiene agua caliente, el lavabo no, osea estamos en un lugar muy frio para que no tengan ese servicio...

en general son serviciales pero no lo suficiente, no me quedaría nuevamente en este hotel

We made a mistake when we booked the hotel - we arrived one day later - the hotel was empty but they would not give us the room but charged us the day we did not use the hotel - so we decided to take one of the other hotels: maria angelina which had very good service for half the price incl.breakfast....

El hotel es sencillo pero tiene lo necesario para descansar bien, las habitaciones muy limpias y el hotel también, la ubicación muy buena, en las orillas del centro histórico al cual te puedes ir a pie, los servicios como el internet funcionan bien y solo disponible en áreas comunes, esta a aproximadamente 2 cuadras de donde se encuentran los bares, andadores comerciales, etc; lo cual te permite descansar sin ruido, los precios accesibles lo hacen ideal para reservarlo si tu idea es solo estar en el para descansar.

El hotel fue en el peor que me he quedado, el precio es demasiado para lo que ofrecen! Sin agua caliente, el colchon sin resortes, el baño horrible en si no nos gusto nada ! Nos quedamos dos noches en otro hotel Jardines de Luz y ers igualmente rustico pero tenian mejor servicio, cuartos, sabanas, agua caliente, limpio, etc !! A este hotel ni ganas de regresar y mucho menos recomendarlo
