The property was somewhat remote. The manager was not available when I arrived. Then he told another guest to let me in my room which turned out wrong one. A car is needed there. Nice pool area. Kitchen minimally supplied. No ice tray, bare minimum other stuff. However, when I checked out, the manager drove me to my next destination on Aruba

This hotel is in a residential area that at first seems a bit rundown, but certainly is safe. The shared areas of the property are lovely, however, the rooms are more like a two star experience. The room was surface clean, but it could have been cleaner. Parking felt safe and easy. Check-in can be tricky. If you do not check Expedia for your gate entry code before you arrive. There is no staff immediately on the premises but if you message them on WhatsApp, they will get back to you fairly promptly. There is a language barrier, however so just be aware you may not get exactly what you asked for.

This was my second time staying at Aruba Tropic. I extended my stay in sunny Aruba and Aruba Tropic was so accommodating. The manager Arley is so nice and goes out of his way to make sure you have all you need. Quiet, clean and comfortable. And the price is right. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The room had everything you needed and was cozy. My favorite was the outdoor space. Like a tropical haven. The pool, the hammocks, the tress and the wildlife made it so relaxing when we were there. The host was so nice as were the other guests. Can’t wait to return!

Was quiet and safe and nearby the places I needed to work. Wifi was a bit spotty. The place is well taken care of. I like ice cube trays which I bought and left for future users. Would be nice if that was a standard part of the kitchen inventory. Price was very reasonable. I had a rental car which makes the location not critical. I would certainly return to this property for future visits.

Stay from this tropic apartments in Aruba

I don’t even know where to start I guess I can start by the moment I met Harvey which was the super or keeper for this property, nice person at first but very unprofessional and unfortunately there was a language barrier between us. Next, the moment I entered the apartment I was so disappointed because the studio did not look anything like the pictures they advertised on Hotels.com, it was an outdated room falling apart and dirty I had no choice but to spent the night on that dirty room. Moreover, the blanket had a strong body smell which it seems to me that they forgot to put it in the washing machine, I just can’t believe that the owner of this property believes that these issues are exceptable for vacationers. I had visited many different hotels all over the world by far this is the worst experience I ever had . Please do yourself a favor and do not consider to stay in this property. Horrible photos attached.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment wasn't much, but it had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. The AC was perfect, the shower pressure was awesome, and the bed was comfy. There were plenty of hooks for swim things & towels, which was great. It had a microwave & fridge/freezer and parking just behind the apartments with a code lock to get into the complex, so it was very safe. He provided shower towels & beach towels, and replaced them our 3rd day in. There is also laundry & the pool just steps outside your patio door. The shared grounds are beautiful & they were doing work every day making improvements- nothing that caused noise or disturbances to our trip, just bits & bobs that showed they had extreme pride in their property and wanted everything to be perfect. The hosts were very kind and we would recommend to anyone. We'd come back in a minute

My adult daughter and I stayed in their smallest apartment. It was fine for us. I wish there was a full size fridge because we shopped for breakfasts and lunches for the week, as well as our daily drinks for the beach. We made friends with the others staying at the apartments and everyone was very nice. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Awesome place to stay in, and the area itself is in a very quiet part of the Tanki Lender neighbourhood. Restaurants and fastfood really close by and so is a gas station if you are renting a car. Very close to some tourist attractions like the Casibari Rock Formations which is like less than a 10 minute drive. The next time we find ourselves in Aruba, would definitely stay at Aruba Tropic Apartments again.

Before you book here:
The amenities stated on its site were not included in our stay. It was missing things such as the hair blower, tea kettle, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, beach towels, and blankets. In addition: The safe was broken, the wifi doesn't reach the second floor, the stairs to the second floor only has one railing, the washer/dryer only accepts local currency, the shampoo/bodywash dispensers don't work and there are ANTS.
There is only one off-site maintenance person to directly contact who doesn't have a good command of the english language, took a day to replace a light bulb and picks up phone calls when he wants to. Hotels.com was contacted and even they were unable to reach him for over a day. We were forced to check out two days into the stay due to sleep deprevation. The bed sheets might be due for a cleaning as well because we were itching throughout the nights. Aruba Tropic Apartments have not provided anything substantial to help with the situation except informing us that they will use bug spray and it is a \"self-serving\" site.

The property was very well maintained, the apartment was kept very clean. The furniture is older but is kept in vey good condition. The gardens are beautiful and it is a very comfortable private complex with a gated entrance. I have all intention on returning to it again.

Small place, quiet, perfect for me! Pool is beautifully lit up at night, grill available outside, kitchenette in each unit. Carlos was very friendly. Saying hello every day and asking how I was doing without being intrusive. I feel I could have asked for anything. Walking distance to a few stores for supplies. Taxis know where it is...even though it's hidden in a neighborhood in the middle of the island away from the touristy places!

My husband and I stayed in Apartment number 2. This apartment is a studio with a spacious closet and a queen size bed. The apartment has a little table with two chairs and a kitchen with enough appliances for two, the fridge is small size. There is a TV with lots of channels for the moments that you only want to lay down and watch a movie (after a long day enjoying the island). The complex is such a relaxing place, although in the morning you will hear a rooster, so no worries about an alarm :) This did not bother us and if it does you can always use plugs (I did that two nights).
It is super easy to communicate with the managers through whatsapp they are very responsive and willing to assist you. In addition, Carlos is always around asking about your day and recommending new adventures, he is great!
There is an area to hang up your wet clothes and also they facilitate coolers (we bought one and then realized they had some).
The location is great to get to every single corner of the island that is what we were looking for!
My husband and I were really happy with Aruba Tropic Apartment and Aruba! Such a happy island :)

Nice place at great price.

This is a great place for a few day stay. Not having daily maid service would keep from staying more than few days since there is no washer/dryer and the towels don’t get changed out. They are very responsive as we had a tv not work at check in and within a few hours the tv was replaced. Would definitely stay again for few days at end of vacation as we did this time.

We loved the stort stay. The place is so quite, nice and relaxing. The check-in went very smooth with the instructions we received from Angelique. It is recommended to contact the property before your arrival to receive the check-in information.

Even though there is no reception office, communication with the property manager went very smoothly. They were always ready to assist us with any information. The location is also good, within 10 minutes with car we were in Palm Beach and Downtown (hotel strip). I recommend this place if you want something more privete and not on the crowded strip of the hotel and restaurants/bars.

Looking forward to stay again at Aruba Tropic.

Our stay in Aruba was perfect.

Room was very clean. The place is peaceful, private and beautiful. We love the garden and pool. Perfect place to relax if you are looking for something more private. If you need assistance just ask Angelique (the owner), she will make it happen.

We recommend to rent a car! You can also use taxi on the island.

a real challenge

This place was difficult to find, it was down a dirt road off what was considered somewhat a main road . many wild dogs in the area some attacked my car driving by.
power went out one day and one of the other guests had to find facility electrical service and we were lucky he was able to reset a breaker. No one around the entire time we were there. The cleaning lady was there when people left.
Our room ,the floor was full of sand and we did our best to sweep it up with towels , Also my wife got bitten up bad buy some bugs the first night we were there , Next day a local told us to put Vicks vapor rub on our bodies and that would keep them away.
This much I will say we left the place much nicer than we found it , that's due to my wife and I being very respectful people.
All in all it really wasn't to bad once you got use to the environment , the price was reasonable so the bottom line is we had a wonderful time in Aruba for a week for a fair price.

Bad Experience because I booked a room with 2 beds And I got one bed.this bed supposed to be for 1 person not 2.My stay was 5 nights.The 2th night I started getting a big back pain.Also one side of the bed was attached to the wall.To get down of that beautiful bed,I had to jump on the other pers.I strongly believe that I deserved a better treatment since I lost $ 452 for not showing(passport expired)

Amazing experience, I will always stay here!

The front door has a code, so only the people who stay in the complex can get in.
The pool is relaxing and changes colors at night (blue, red green etc) so cute. They have a lot of lawn chairs so you can sit out and relax and even floaties!
The room is great it has whole kitchenette area, even rags, utensils, plates/bows/cups/pots etc.
There is also a dining table with placemats and napkins.
There is no room service to bother you, they leave you enough rags, towels and toilet paper to last your stay..if needed you can call
The only thing I suggest is gettin some type of laundry basket for used towels and rags.
It is less than 10 min away from palm beach!

Great hidden gem

Far from the beach but the pool is great, the sun hits the patio perfectly (perfect sun/shade ratio) and the rooms are awesome. Relaxed atmosphere, the staff literally \"disappear\" so it feels like a condo vacation. Highly recommended, but maybe a rent a car if you're planning on doing beach days or going out.

The apartments are very good value for money although quite basic.there are shops and local restaurants within 2 mins walk but it is remote. The gardens are lovely and very well looked after you need to hire a car as you can't walk to the beach. The owner Angelique is very helpful and will arrange car hire taxis etc.a very relaxing holiday.

Nice apartment.

We stayed one night at the apartment due to our connection flight. The kids love the small swimming pool. Very clean apartment with free Wifi. Closed to the airport (15 mins away) and the fast restaurants (Wendy's). Good dayily rate.

It was across from a junk yard

No stsff on duty in evening. Other guests pit in gate code to let me in then callef s number as to what room i was checked in. Smsll room. Kitchen light not working. Day maid took room snacks. No phone to call for staff. Had to eslk 10 minutes to find a taxi.

Quiet apartment complex with pool

The apartment was tucked away in a quiet dead end street with just the comfort we needed: a small kitchen, fully stacked with pots, utensils and dishes, a reasonably comfortable bed, nice bathroom with good shower, and a little sitting area outside close to the pool. Wifi connection was equally useful. It was quiet and you couldn't hear you traffic at night.
Good value for the price.

Stayed in Aruba Tropic Apartments over Christmas. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom and a kitchen. The layout of the room was great and the hotel property in general is very nice, it has a cute little pool and outdoor tables where we had our daily breakfast. The place is very peaceful, all other residents were quite, which was great. We had our family Christmas dinner in front of the pool under the starts and we cooked fresh seafood on the BBQ, it was wonderful. Angelique was very accommodating and helpful. The downsides are that the place is a little remote, and deep down it needs a little bit more up keeping, the pots and pans were very old and not so clean, and 2 of the burners in our gas stove were not working. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would recommend this property.

Nice staff, bad really bad location

Location: in the middle of nowhere, you definitely need a car to go somewhere. At least 10 minutes to the beach. Unpaved roads around.
Staff: very friendly
Room: ok, that's all. Need some update. Just one cleaning in 7 days. Had to ask for towels, trash bags, toilet paper all the time.
Hotel: really nice pool area, lots of toys for kids. Not so quite at night. Especially the dog from neighbors kept barking the whole night.

Excellent, economic choice for travelers!

I was really impressed by the property at Aruba Tropics, especially since it was the least expensive room I could find on short notice! The grounds are lovely with a relaxed, garden-type atmosphere. You can order whatever you like for breakfast, and they really put effort into their meals. The manager was so lovely; super friendly, helpful, and attentive. I couldn't believe how great the atmosphere and room was, considering the low price (for Aruba, at least =). Sadly, I just needed a place to crash on a long layover, but if I ever return to Aruba for a proper visit, I will definitely be coming here.

our flight was the last flight into Aruba Friday night. And it was late by an hour. The taxi driver was not to happy to be working so late, so I was a worried arriving at the hotel so late, but the hotel manager was waiting up for me. She had been checking the airport web site and was aware of the delay. That for me is TOP NOTCH! Especially after travelling from Montreal to Aruba with a 7hrs lay over in Miami. Now I only stayed for a night and did not get a chance to see the surrounding area, but if I ever come back to Aruba, I will definitely book this place, and for a longer stay...

This place is good for the money. Only $50 per night but very far from any attractions and beaches. The pool area is in the middle of the apartments, and loud guests make it difficult to sleep. The manager is generally not around, and the rules threaten punishment or payment for excessive use of air conditioner.

Nice hotel, a bit confusing to find

The hotel was very nice and the amenities were just as they were described and depicted on Expedia's website. The hotel says it is in the Noord area of Aruba, but I would suggest they are more Noord adjacent. Driving there at night with no GPS and only a map and directions made our arrival more challenging than expected. But once we arrived, we were welcomed by management and made to feel at home. The apartment was large and could accommodate up to 6 people comfortably and having a kitchen and refrigerator made it ideal to prepare meals.

to begin with there was no office or front desk where we could be attended. the location said it was 5-10 minutes from Eagle beach, it was literally in the middle of nowhere. i did not stay here at all. i attempted to call to get a refund and there was no answer! i emailed the location and never heard back from them.

Owner never sent email so while in Aruba after a week in timeshare,I called her since there email wasn't on my confirmation info. It cost me almost $7. Just to find out the location. I asked about checking in a few hours early if room was ready, she said yes only for $20. Extra. The pool area is extremely lovely. The room is clean on surface but really needs some detailed cleaning (blinds, windowsills,cabinets etc.)

Nice mini villa

This was a nice little villa that was very clean. It cost us a $10 taxi ride to the beaches by the low rise hotels. This is great if you want to be in town and not on the beach. Also great if you like to cook your own meals while on vacation. This is a 3 min walk to Wendy's, many restraunts, and a 7 min walk to a bakery.

The owner is very nice and will go out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable. She will even drop you off at the airport for the normal taxi price so you don't have to wait for a cab when leaving. Overall a great experience if you like to be in town with the locals and don't need a beach on site while on vacation.
