Located off the beautiful Eagle Beach in a tropical island resort setting, this family-friendly aparthotel in Oranjestad is situated 5 km from village shops and restaurants and 12 km from Arikok National Park. Bulbali Bird Sanctuary is approximately 1 km from the hotel, Hooiberg mountain around 11 km away, and the Ayo rock formations roughly 12 km away.
The resort comprises a self-contained village that provides guests with 811 luxurious accommodation units and all the amenities they would expect from Aruba's favourite family resort. We did not have housekeeping service until we checked out. 5 days. We had to throw away our own trash and get new towels. The pool area was very nice and walking distance to the beach.

ok Room was late, and they had clean up staff waiting at the door at 945 before the 10am check out. Main pool was down, and no one told us which due to the crowds made the other two pools inaccessible. Would not return.

Resort is VERY clean :) The only reason I did not give it an excellent rating was the construction that shut down the main pool, forcing all visitors to the adult pool. That being said we very much enjoyed our stay!

Our room was on the west side of the resort. Industrial noise coming from all over including huge AC’s on top of the building. Our room was lighted up all night from parking lot lights. The place was under construction but that is not where the industrial noise came from.

So many shops, lots of swimming, we loved the room layout to have our own space, staff was very friendly and having such a beautiful beach right across the street was amazing, truly gave us a great vacation!

We were disappointed with the fact we didn’t have hot water for showers for 4 of the 7 days. The resort reminded us it’s a timeshare & they didn’t really care. After disputing they felt only $100 resort credit was acceptable which was a fraction of what we paid for one night. The prices at the timeshare for food, drinks, etc were so high & pricey we can’t afford to go there anymore. Further you could once get a palapa easily 10 years ago. Now you have to share with other resorts, the public & get there by 7:00 am. I like to sleep in on vacation but Aruba & Eagle beach are overbuilding, overcharging and is not small & charming like it once was. Places gave closed & even the locals were asking me if I see what they did 10 years later & I do . I am sorry to say this was my finale trip to La Cabana. It’s too overcrowded even during low season.
I also won’t even address the airport, rude people and 4 hour line & barely making flight. The airport is significantly worse too & overcrowded.
This finale trip broke my heart for an island and resort I visited over 6 times and left me very sad with what it has now become.

They are renovating the large pool and area around it until December 2025ish so it is blocked off. There is a smaller \"adult\" pool where kids could swim with adults. People put towels on chairs/loungers by 7AM and seem to stay the day which isn't considerate of other guests. There is also a toddler pool. The restaurant choices on-property are 3 plus a gelatoria and Cinabon. Sunset has a car rental desk in the lobby for convenience. Resort staff are very helpful and kind. Large grocery store is within a block. Full size frig/freezer, gas stove top, pots, fry pans, microwave, microwaveable bowls, strainer, pitcher, toaster, cooking/grilling utensils and place settings for 4 are provided. There are grills in the courtyard of the property. The bed is very comfortable, seemingly a larger queen size. Never ran out of hot water for showers. Tap water is very good to drink. There is a safe in the room and a broom if you, like me, desire to keep the sand accumulation down. I greatly appreciate the discount that made it possible for us to book this wonderful accommodation.

My wife and I have stayed at LaCabana 10 times over the past 20 years. The staff and facilities are first class. They have an excellent gym facility and are currently doing renovations of the swimming pool area to improve the customer experience. Have added pickleball courts (2) and several grilling areas. Best beach in Aruba is across the street.

LaCabana never disappoints! Have not been in a couple of years but added the health hut for delicious smoothies and acaie bowls, kids and adult pools. Across the street from one of the best beaches in the world, Eagle Beach, what more can you ask.

Loved our stay here - so much so I felt compelled to leave a review on the plane ride home! The most notable part was the friendly, efficient, and kind front desk staff (thank you, Eli, for checking us in!). We enjoyed the quick walk to the beach (<5 mins), easy towel service, many and free palapas, and the pool and hot tub were clean and great to relax in after the beach! The room itself was great with all the accommodations we needed. Area was super safe and conveniently close to restaurants and the grocery store (we are happy we rented a car though). Plenty of free self parking at the hotel also a plus! Our only cons are that we never had our room cleaned (but it was fine), the adult only pool was closed during our entire stay but unsure why, and lastly we had a strange and unpleasant encounter with one of the workers at the cafe in the lobby. We were given a weird sweet milk when we ordered a matcha green tea latte. When we brought it back, she said it was not a matcha (we agreed!) but insinuated we had brought something random back for a free drink and was both wrong and aggressive. She lectured us to keep the receipt next time (they never gave us one in the first place). She did not offer a refund, she replaced it with a hot coffee which was also strange.

We loved La Cabana and will be back. Having the beach across the street was perfect with kids. You can pay $30 for an umbrella right by the ocean or get a palapa for free as part of an amenity through the resort. Chairs for either are free and also an amenity. People who want a prime palapa get there EARLY!
The kids LOVED the slide and both the big pool and the kiddie pool. They called the kiddie poll the baby hot tub because it was so warm but not to warm that it wasn’t safe.
There are washers and dryers on every floor. $10 gets you 5 tokens and each machine takes 1 token to run.

LaCabana is a beautiful property right across from Eagle Beach. You can easily walk to several restaurants and the grocery store. We absolutely LOVE the adult pool - great addition to the property! There are plenty of activities on site: water aerobics, bingo, wine tasting, art classes, live music at happy hour, etc. LaCabana definitely has more of a \"party\" feel than some other timeshares so if you're looking for a quiet resort, this may not be the place. We love the Las Ramblas restaurant. The food is always exceptional and we enjoy listening to the guitarist who plays there regularly. All in all, a great place to stay. My only complaint is that they should install Smart TVs in the units or have a Roku or some other device to stream services. The TV selection left a lot to be desired, so having the ability to stream Netflix would be great. We would happily stay there again!
