We would 100% recommend staying at this resort. The service was amazing, restaurants and food options very good, and although the beach is across the street which we were nervous about, it wasn’t an issue at all - we didn’t even think about it once we were on property.

Check-in was not smooth. The room was not ready and then when they said it was ready it was not the room I reserved with 2 queen beds. Instead they offered an “upgrade” with a king bed and a roll away bed and $200, because they were oversold. However, I was with my husband and 2 teenage children. I was disappointed and refused the “offer.” They did what they could to rectify it by literally moving a queen bed into the room where we were staying. It worked out. At the end everyone had a proper bed to sleep on and it was satisfactory.

Leaking ceiling, pieces of ceiling was falling due to the heavily present leak, half the outlets don’t work, housekeeping comes at odd hours or doesn’t come at all, pools were freezing
Otherwise beautiful rooms and hotel. The three restaurants are wonderful and Camilla at Zima Rooftop is spectacular. Breakfast buffet was great, totally worth to get the breakfast included. Room service food is not good.

I cannot rave about this 5 stars hotel enough!! From the attentive staff, all the amenities. It’s just so spectacular. Right across beautiful Eagle beach where you can watch the sunset or from your room if you have the ocean view. The rooftop pool is amazing. The breakfast buffet is to die for! Everything was amazing, but the service was the highlight of my stay! Also the vallet was so convenient since I had a car rental. It was no hassle, they’d grab my car anytime I needed it and took care of the parking when I got back. This is the best hotel In Aruba! They go above and beyond!

We enjoyed our stay at JOIA Aruba. The resort was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. We appreciated the room upgrade to a pool-view room, early check-in, and the friendly staff.

Our main issue was communication. We were not informed at check-in that certain pool areas were reserved for members only. We spent time there on our first day and were told the next day that we could not use that area. We understand some information may have been covered during the welcome presentation, which we chose not to attend after a long travel day, but important information like pool access should be communicated separately.

The advertised \"$600 VIP hotel credit\" through Expedia was also confusing. It turned out to be discounts tied to minimum spending requirements, such as $25 off a $250 purchase, rather than a straightforward hotel credit. The concierge was initially unfamiliar with the benefit, which added to the confusion.

We were also disappointed that the pool bar was still under construction and that this was not communicated before arrival. Overall, we enjoyed the property, but clearer communication about amenities, member-only areas, and promotional benefits would have made the experience much better.

I recently stayed at JOIA Aruba and wanted to provide some honest feedback regarding my experience.

First, there were some things I enjoyed about the property. The resort is visually beautiful, the beach area is lovely, and several staff members were warm and welcoming throughout my stay.

However, I left feeling that the experience did not fully meet the luxury standard I expected based on the branding, pricing, and marketing of the resort.

One of the biggest concerns was that portions of the property still appeared unfinished or under construction. This affected the overall atmosphere of the pool areas tremendously .
In addition, there were several areas where the service and overall execution felt more comparable to a 3.5- 4-star resort rather than a true high-end luxury experience. Services around the pool area were very sparse and my party had to go find staff to order food and drinks.

Third, there simply are not enough chairs and umbrellas available on the dedicated beach area. I ATTEMPTED to go to the beach each day of my stay and each time my party,myself and a guest were told there were no available seats or umbrellas. Each time we had to wait 40mins to 2hours before we could access chairs. Why so many rooms and only about 50-60 chairs

As someone who travels frequently (Joia rose hall Jamaica march 2026) and values hospitality, and attention to detail, I wanted to express my concerns. the property has tons of potential but lacked true 5 star quality.

The property is modern, clean, and visually impressive with strong amenities, but the overall experience was inconsistent and did not reflect a true luxury stay.

Before arrival, I emailed requesting a simple birthday room setup and received no response.

Check-in felt rushed and disorganized with unclear communication around deposits and payment methods. During the stay, we were approached by an events representative promoting a vacation club after clearly declining, which felt persistent. We also received unsolicited calls about checkout logistics despite not requesting assistance.

Room service and billing had inconsistencies, including items said to be included but later charged. We also received an unrequested complimentary cheese/fruit platter and sparkling wine with no explanation.

The pool was quiet and enjoyable, but the jacuzzi was not heated and matched pool temperature despite guest concerns. Breakfast was good, though the checkbook/tipping process felt transactional.

Positive staff included poolside, spa, housekeeping, café, and taxi service teams who were friendly and professional.

At checkout, unresolved billing issues carried over. Apple Pay repeatedly failed, and in front of other guests, the staff member assisting us (Melany) made a comment suggesting the issue “might be because of the amount,” which felt unprofessional.

Overall, the property is beautiful, but front desk communication, checkout handling, and service inconsistencies impacted the stay.

Dinner options and entertainment was great. Outside activity concierge was great - helped us with rental car. Internal concierge not very helpful - did not introduce us to activities and amenities on the resort. Beach was quiet and location of resort was great but it is on the quiet side of the island if that’s your preference. Spa was just ok. We did a couples massage and got 20% off from Expedia booking! All in all we really enjoyed our stay!

The entire resort and our room were spotless. We especially loved the breakfast, delicious tropical drinks, and nachos on the beach. We never had any trouble getting loungers at the pool or beach. Perfect getaway! One note: there is not an ATM on the property and most of the taxis only take cash, so be prepared!

My niece stayed at Joia in March 2026 and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with wash clothes to wipe our hands and was then given a yummy drink that had ginger in it. The lobby was beautiful. Kayla was warm and inviting when she checked us in. She told us, we were upgraded to a swim up room due to my Expedia status. The bellman was so nice that escorted us to our room. He explained all the room's features. The room was really high-tech. You didn't have to put out a sign that said you needed housekeeping. It was a button that you would push that you either needed housekeeping or you didn't need to be disturbed. The experience was 5 stars from check in, room service, the three restaurants, infinity pool and the bars. Berny was the lobby bartender and he was the greatest. I asked for a dirty dirty martini and it was filthy. Thanks Berny your service was impeccable!! I have only good things to say about this resort. I would unequivocally without a shadow of a doubt recommend this resort. It was gorgeous. The staff was beautiful. It was clean the restaurants served good food and the alcohol was definitely a step above other places that I have stayed. I can definitely see myself returning to this resort. The island is just so gorgeous. During the time we were there it was beautiful 80° weather with no humidity.

Rather mixed experience for our stay. Restaurants had delicious food and great live music every night, but service was hit or miss. Several problems with our stay - we had a $600 resort credit, which the property only honored $25 of at checkout, there were never enough chairs and umbrellas at the beach, several umbrellas and covers at the pool were groped so they wouldn’t stay up, and the pools and jacuzzis were completely unheated so too cold to enjoy. These problems might have been tolerable and a more reasonable price point, but give the lack of value for the room rate, we won’t be staying at this property again.

They had some things to fix bathroom doors askew/out of square, toilet paper holders off the walls, check in was awful!!!!, touch up paint on all doors. Overall I loved our stay. The resort is new and beautiful, and for the most part the service is good. However, in my opinion it is overpriced and heavily boosted by social media hype.

At a so-called luxury resort, details matter, and this property falls short in some areas.
We noticed some workmanship was not great, but what shocked me most was the tile selection throughout the resort. The tiles around the pool, walkways, and stairs are very smooth and extremely slippery. People were slipping frequently, and I had to catch my balance several times. It feels like an accident waiting to happen.

Restaurant service was great, but the food was mixed. The breakfast buffet at Bucatini was excellent, and Marea was good. Gaia was disappointing—the food was inconsistent and often overcooked. The lamb orecchiette was inedible, and I would recommend avoiding the pasta and rice dishes.

The worst part of our stay was the beach experience. On the same day our lounge chairs were taken away twice while we went for breakfast and lunch, even though our towels were on them and we told the beach attendant we would be back.

When we spoke to the manager, instead of apologizing she said chairs could be taken after 45 minutes, a rule that was never communicated and posted nowhere. For a resort that calls itself luxury, this policy and the way it was handled were very disappointing.

Overall, the resort has potential, but the lack of attention to detail and poor handling of guest issues left a bad impression.

When we come to Aruba we usually stay Marriott. This time we decided to try Joia. It’s a new hotel. But that’s where the good things stopped. If you come to the beach too early no umbrellas or chairs are put out. Usually they’re starting to do that after 8-8:30 am. Also, if you didn’t come early enough the staff puts towels on the chairs claiming it’s for members only. So if that’s the case it should be advertised as such hotel. For members of some club only. Apparently if you paid $1,000.00 per night it’s not good enough for staff to accommodate you at the beach.
The waitress service at the beach is the worst. They’re just doesn’t want to work. Staying most of the day under the trees. If by any miracle you see waiter passing by you better make sure he takes your order or you would have to wait forever for him to come again.
Rooms are new and clean. However, it may take cleaning crew to clean your room whole day. Lots of people complained that rooms were cleaned way after 4 pm.
Also, if you have reservations outside the hotel leave extra time for the taxi. It’s not easy to get taxi at this place.
But more importantly, check your final bill carefully. We had quite a few charges that wasn’t ours.
Truthfully, I wouldn’t go back there again.

Beautiful hotel with direct access to Eagle Beach. Several great restaurants on site. Rooms are spacious, modern and well designed. There are several large pools, including an infinity pool. Beach lounger availability was hit or miss but poolside loungers were generally available. The beach was not at all crowded. This hotel is located a bit away from the busy area with some of the other big hotels but that didn't really detract anything from our experience. The are still some nice restaurants nearby and the hotel itself definitely has some nice restaurant options. Great experience overall.

The staff is amazing! Property is only a year old so everything is beautiful. Breakfast buffet is staffed by some amazing people and the selection of food is great. The walk to the beach across the road is seamless and the beach chair attendants are so helpful. Beach is beautiful and sandy beach chairs and pool chairs are so comfortable!! Only negative is the music at the rooftop bar Zima is to loud and goes until 10 pm or later sometimes. The valet staff was so wonderful and accommodating! Property is right on the walking trail which is great for getting to and from places to eat and see! Our overall experience was fantastic!

Good room should give guests a better view if hotel is more than half empty. The people who tend to the beach chairs will only give you chairs if you “tip” them they held chairs for an entire day with no one in them while we had to lay on towels. The majority of lounge huts / chairs are broken with no one fixing them or trying to. Also the drinks that you pay for at the pool are all watered down. The tv also didn’t connect took a long time and kep shutting down mid movie. Cleaning service was great. Check in process easy and welcoming. The car guys are great. The actual servers in the restaurants are okay. And the pool side servers Jenny and Camille were amazing. Good amount of access to towels and cold water at all times which is great. Very clean rooms and landscape nice nature around pools. Overall it was a good trip just seems for the amount you pay to be there no one really cares about the quality or service you are receiving.

Staff was the friendliest I've ever experienced. We loved the Adults only section with the infinity pool and music. The room was spacious (ocean view, King bed) with a terrific balcony. The beach is just a short walk across the street with lounges for guests. I recommend renting a car to get around and don't fall for the pitch to learn about the hotel and get breakfast - we lost two hours!

Extremely clean room, modern amenities and excellent guest service. View from balcony was unreal. Pools were amazing although a large hot water outdoor jacuzzi would be a nice. The buffet was delicious and always fresh.

Drink prices were a bit on the high side and the fact that the credit card reader did not accept our Capital One Discover card was frustrating but other than those minor complaints, it was a dream vacation spot. Would highly recommend!

The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

The reception staff were helpful and made check in and check out easy.

Onsite restaurant staff were helpful and breakfast and dinners were enjoyable.

it took 15 minutes for water to get hot. we had some issues with housekeeping moving our personal belongings and spilling our suitcases which was very frustrating and disappointing. also the concierge staff were not able to answer
even the most basic questions. room and resort were very nice except these issues

Pools and jakuzi were cold. Service at the hotel was good. Needs improvement at the beach side for service. Def not a 5 star hotel. I would say its more like a 4 Star hotel. Will not return.

The staff is great, rooms were always cleaned in the morning and early evening. Everything about the resort is beautiful. The pools close at 7:00pm, too early for me, they need to stay open a little later.
