It is a dated building, which is ok but it should be kept cleaner. We got an ocean front room but there was trash and debris clearly in view on the rooftops and canopies below our room. It is very unappealing. The elevators too are poorly kept, dark and dirty. There was no microwave oven so we could not heat any leftover food from our dining throughout the week. These are very simple things that should be expected from a hotel in this price-point.

The majority of the people that work there are very nice and attentive. I had one exception with someone who saw me walking at night from the beach area, this person told me I was not allowed to be there, without even asking if I was staying at the resort. The rooms are very outdated but clean. One of the elevators was under maintenance practically during my entire stay, so additional time to go up and down the elevator was needed. Breakfast was included with my package and it was actually a very good variety of food and people working in that area were very nice and attentive.

Areas for improvement: check-in and check-out was not efficient, fitness center is small and dated, one of the two elevators in the tower was not working for two consecutive days which caused long lines and waiting, only two washers/dryers in each tower (they had an odor and kept erroring, token machine was empty, front desk doesn't have tokens so had to go to a different building and staff instructed me to the 7th floor when in fact they were on the 2nd floor, wasted half an hour walking all over the place attempting to wash clothes. Very frustrating.)

For the most part it was ok. But the rugs in are room grossed us out. Food is mega over priced chicken fingers and 1 seltzer water 28$. A lot of garbage on the property around the beach. Aruba was cool! Hotel was ghetto. They delivered cold room service????? Much more to say don’t have patience to write everything that was wrong

The check in was terrible. We waited standing in the line for 2 hours to check-in. It is quite unbearable after a long trip and high humidity at 85F. The check-in line was the same everyday throughout our stay so obviously it wasn’t a one time thing. Additionally, the expedia page says beach umbrellas are available for guests for no surcharge. They didn’t honor this. We had to pay $40 extra per umbrella everyday. The beach and the water was amazing. The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to many great restaurants. We had great food on the island.

La playa es hermosa, el hotel está bordemar, la piscina a un paso d la arena, es fantástico, se puede alternar entre una u otra de manera inmediata. Las palapas (sombrilla natural de paja) cuestan usd 40, las tumbonas sin sombra y las tumbonas d piscina con sombrilla son gratis.
Recomiendo comprar una sombrilla para toda la estadía en aruba.
La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca a todo el movimiento de palm beach.
Cuenta con estacionamiento de fácil acceso.
Desayuno: usd 30/pers
Almuerzo, cena alrededor de usd 45/pers
Hay tiendas d conveniencia, venta d tours y un punto de renta d auto de thrifty.
Todos los hoteles vecinos están cerca al mar.
Al menos mientras estuve, no tuve problemas para encontrar espacio en laa tumbonas de la piscina.
Es adecuado para niños.

hotel pools were like 20 ft from ocean. nice to see ocean from pool/jacuzzi. clean rooms. carpet worn. balcony nice can sit out on. like the infrastructure to get to room to pools to parking lot-very close and easy. gym clean offers treadmills etc. did not go all inclusive. beach view great. next to pelican pier walk from hotel right out back take boat tour. staff brought extra towels up to room in 5 min after request. will b staying again. preferred to other hotel from last visit

The best part of this hotel is the beach by the sea tower. If your traveling to this hotel without kids I would recommend requesting ocean front in the sea tower. Beach is very nice, not as many kids and close to a quiet pool.
I was very disappointed with the front desk managers. I made a very specific request to stay in the sea tower close to the friends we were traveling with. I booked the trip through Expedia and sent message directly to the hotel. when we arrived they placed us in the farthest tower away from our friends. When I asked about my request, the manager said they don't get notes from Expedia. . Very unusual since I’ve used Expedia many times to communicate with hotels and I’ve had no problems in the past. They did accommodate us in the sea tower, but I had one of the worst rooms overlooking the mechanics. I had to go back to the desk several times asking if we could move. finally when I offered to pay for an upgrade suddenly a room was available. I recommend you calling the desk directly if you have a specific request. The remaining staff at the hotel we’re all very pleasant. The rooms are very basic, but they were clean. The breakfast was very good, but I would also recommend heading down the beach and finding an outdoor restaurant to enjoy your breakfast with a view overall the Holiday Inn is fine if you need to stick to a budget. If you want something a little nicer I would look elsewhere.

This was our 5th time staying here. It’s not the fanciest but we love the location, the pools and the beach. We never do all inclusive because there are so many amazing restaurants on the island. The staff was very nice except there’s a rude kid at the towel place by sea tower. I’m not sure why you can only have one towel. You put one down to sit on because the beach chairs are not the most comfortable it gets soaked and you have nothing to dry yourself with! For some reason, our room was only cleaned twice the whole week which was ok but we had to chase someone down in the hall for towels one day. And I called two weeks in advance to request a particular building we wanted to stay in, but when we got there they said they had no note in the computer. Luckily they ended up moving us to where we wanted to be but we shouldn’t have to do this as we’re checking in every time.

Reynaldo at the front door was amazing. He greeted us each time we came or left. Helped with parking and luggage. Answered questions about the hotel or nearby offerings. Was just \"down home\" friendly and seemed to genuinely care about us.
I have a cousin who visits Aruba regularly and stays at the Ritz. I think that is indulgent when the Holiday Inn offers such a comfortable facility right in the middle of so many shopping and eating options.

This was my first time coming to Aruba so l was nervous, the hotel was very clean, the location is one of best it's in the center of all the activities, you walk outside and the beach is right there and a bunch of restaurants, bars and the mall right across the street. Rooms were clean. The price is a bit too high l think you can find something cheaper in the area with breakfast included and with similar. Overall good experience.

This was and continues to be a great place to stay. My wife and I stay here each time we visit Aruba. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are always clean and the outside grounds and beach frontage are beautiful. In addition, the hotel sits perfectly to watch the evening sunsets each night.

The hotel in general was acceptable. It was clean with 3 pools and very close access to the beach and restaurants/bars across the street. However, our room was very rundown. We had to call maintenance a few times for no hot water and a broken toilet. We lost power on our floor for over an hour which caused us to missed an anniversary dinner. There was no care given from the staff. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Aruba but would not return to the Holiday Inn.

Despite wanting to have turn down services, they never did it. We asked numerous times and never received it. They left us the same towels and sheets for 6 days. We also paid for “all inclusive”, but there are caveats. Room service is extra. At the restaurants, they do not allow you to take your leftovers or dessert back with you. My room key didn’t work once to get into the gym. I even had them remake keys. After the 1st day, they just told me to ask someone that was already in there to open the door for me. When I was checking out and was expressing my displeasure and the woman at checkout didn’t seem to care. Mind you, I’m apart of a 17 person group that takes yearly vacations. I would not recommend this property.

Room was decent, a bit out dated. Staff was friendly. Amenities are nice, except it can become very crowded. It is located in a lively area so I wouldn’t recommend for people who don’t like a lot of noise. Our room was located near the club across the street and we could hear the music all night. It’s in a great location with restaurants, stores, and coffee shops nearby. The beach sand was a little more rocky than I expected but it’s probably because there is a lot of foot traffic. Parking was very easy. I would stay again at this property.

Room was moldy ceiling packed many times from leaks, biggest complaint was the AC could not go below 68 and really the temperature didn’t drop below 70, which is way too hot for me. No bathroom exhaust fan, so made room even more humid.

I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Aruba several times over the years, and in the past I would have rated it around 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the quality has declined, and at this point it feels much closer to a 3‑star experience.

The rooms are in clear need of updating. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked and patched with thick, discolored caulking, and the same heavy caulking surrounded the shower base. Several wall repairs were done poorly, with patched areas painted over without sanding. The rugs were only semi‑clean at best.

The service also fell short. When I asked a staff member for help with beach chairs—while carrying bags and towels for the kids—he simply pointed and said, “Sit anywhere you can,” offering no assistance. The interaction felt dismissive and unconcerned.

It seems the hotel is relying on its excellent location rather than reinvesting in the property or the guest experience. Because of this, we won’t be returning.

they asked us if we bought our trip from Expedia and then gave as the worst room with the door which was open to hard and a parking lot view 2nd floor, all night and day it was very noise laundry track was doing pick up from 10pm till 12:30 am

The only complaint I have is that one night I came to my room with a friend who wanted to see the room so that she can book for next time. We are adult women and were harassed by the security guards who try to keep away the spring break stragglers. I was very upset because we were taking a walk and went towards my room where we were treated like underage troublemakers. It was extremely uncomfortable and very weird. I complained to the reception desk but nothing happened. This place Tenant tense spring breakers and has no common sense in adult guests trying to navigate reports and even use casino .

The location was great, for dining and shopping options, at the north end of Palm Beach.
The hotel itself shows its age, but the price of the stay reflects that. I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a budget option, to visit this amazing island.

Additionally, please be sure you receive the type of room you paid for, as I did not.
I paid for resort view & I was put in a parking lot view room. My room was right outside a nightclub that played music every single night until midnight. There was no rest to be had and that’s something I was hoping to do at night. Rest. It was vacation.
My slippers were dirty (on the bottom) after a week of walking on the carpet, the carpet had crumbs on it when I arrived, there is nothing extra in the bathroom. This is basically a no frills resort. Everything is a charge, the umbrellas, the palapa reservation, etc., you receive one towel at the beach / pool per person, everyone asks for a tip - including the person offering cool refreshments upon checking in. I asked for the manager’s information upon checking out and it was truly an ordeal to get it. This vacation was the opposite of relaxing & I did not get my money’s worth for what I paid.

The hotel was right on the beach with access to two pools. Breastfed buffet offered a variety of different food and was 2 min walk to a cafe on property. Directly across the street was evening entertainment from restaurants with live music and many vendors. I found it to be very walkable to mini supermarket and butterfly farm.

Check in took well over an hour and seems to be a common issue here. Overall the hotel is outdated. Beach and outdoor areas are pretty good. Service at the front desk will make me stay somewhere else next time.
