A good clean room in a great location for walking to most things. The host, Fred, was very helpfull. I would not recommend it for any light sleepers due to the barking dogs next door and traffic on the nearby main road.

Excellent home away from home. The host was very kind and went out of his way to make me happy. It is near the water, but not beachfront. We can walk to the casino and all the restaurants are close by. It is quiet without all the frills. There are no obnoxious tourists walking around and making noise with their children.Great for couples and single travelers who want to enjoy Aruba at their own pace.

The host Fred was great. He meet us when we arrived and great communication. Fred helped us out whenever we needed something or had a question. Great location , short walk to surfside beach and main bus terminal if you wanted to see the Island . The room was clean and kitchen had almost everything we needed. Would recommend this place if you are wanting to stay in Oranjestad.

Fred is a wonderful host! We are SO glad we chose to stay here. First, everything was very clean. The bed linens and towels were nice and soft. The location was perfect for us.

There are two new air conditioners. They felt amazing after a hot afternoon at the beach! We left them off while we were out but the place stayed cool and the new air conditioners really cranked the cold air.

The shower is large and there's a new rain shower head and wand. Water pressure was very good. Shower was warm, not hot, but it also didn't need to be hot. You're in the tropics!

There's a nice, big closet for all our luggage. The bedroom had blinds and blackout curtains. It was so quiet! No noise from neighbors above or beside.

My favorite thing about Le Chateau was the location. It was very walkable to nearby restaurants and beaches. After we took the taxi from the airport we never used a car again, we were even able to walk to the cruise ship terminal to board our boat. The location was very convenient. It's just a couple houses off the main street but it was VERY VERY quiet, which I really appreciated.

We felt very safe and secure. The neighborhood was quiet and surrounded by other nice homes. We felt safe walking at night, too.

Added bonus that wasn't in the listing...a bidet and an ice maker! Fred also beach towels and chairs, too.

For the price, it can't be beat. It's not a luxury resort but it's in a great location, it's clean, safe, and has all the basics and then some!

Fred was sooooo sweet and nice!!!! Was very friendly, attentive and informative! We stayed upstairs in the apartment and it was very well equipped for us to cook while we were there. Plenty of towels. Also had soda, a bottle of wine and fresh water ready for us when we got there. Great location to walk down to the port area where there is shopping, food and entertainment. It was less than a 10 minute walk. Beeches in very close proximity with water access and perfect sunset views right outside in the waterfront. Communicated through what’s up and he was very prompt with getting back to us during our stay. When we go back to Aruba, Fred will be the one we reach out to when going. Thank you so much again, Fred! You made my first trip to Aruba very welcoming!!!!!!! See you soon!!!

The villa was a short ride from the airport. Our host met us at the entrance and took us to our place. He explained everything we needed to know about the place. He would respond quickly on What’s App any time we had a question. The bed was very comfy, the shower had good water pressure and it was very clean, with the ocean just across the street. One of our favourite restaurants was only 100 setups from the villa. We loved the fact that we could drink water right from the tap! The whole island drinks desalinated water from the ocean. Less plastic water bottles!! He booked our taxi for us on our last day to get back to the airport. We truly loved Aruba and would recommend you stay with Fred!!

This property is a lovely colonial house that is located just off of the ocean in a very safe neighbourhood. The rooms were spacious and we were very comfortable during our stay. We received a very warm welcome and if there was anything that we needed as we had to do was ask. I would absolutely recommend this property, you will have a great experience!

Thank goodness for our host Fred (who we now lovingly call uncle fred from Aruba lol) He let us check in within 15 minutes of booking, greeted us at the gate, gave us the run down of everything, and was available for any questions or concerns (which there were no concerns) that we had. Such a well kept place within walking distance to food and shopping. We truly felt home here! Bed was comfy, sheets were soft and clean, pillows were perfect and, really I just can’t say enough good things about this place. You won’t regret your stay here! We only got to stay 4 days (we had a little misfortune on the first 4 days of our 8 day vaca), and we hope/plan to stay here on our return visit to Aruba. Thank you again Uncle Fred! Upon arrival we were a little disappointed about the aesthetic of the property in comparison to the pictures. The owner “Fred” came out to greet us in which he seemed very hospitable initially. We got a tour of our “executive suite” which was outdated to say the least, but we stuck with it hoping to have a good experience. The bed lining was stale in the regards of feeling like they haven’t been thoroughly washed. THEN, a turn for the worst….. We went to shower and there was no hot water, it was room temp almost cold. When we brought our concerns to the owner he then made it seem like we were the problem for not wanting to take a cold shower and would not accommodate us turning the hot water on. It’s been all downhill from there. Next morning we wake up to GIANT roaches which was an absolute deal breaker for us. I did not feel like this was an acceptable property and I would much rather had booked a resort like I initially sought out to do. I would not recommend based on MY standards of quality.

The property's location was exactly where we wanted to be... One block from beach and an easy , safe walk to a great area for dining/shopping. Did not feel crowded and the locals are always delightful. The room was fine for the price point, exactly as expected. Missing a few necessities, but our host, Fred ,took care of things once mentioned. He was very kind when we thought our flight home was cancelled and even offered to pick us up from airport, if we needed to get back.

The property is so close to the Airport. The apartment was so clean. We were talking with the owners and we were able to rent bikes from them- brand new even, so we could bike the island. We highly recommend our friends and family to stay at Le Chateau Ocean Villas!!!!!

The apartment was exceptional. Clean, well stocked and secure. Fred is the owner and lives on site.

This was our 4th visit to Aruba. We decided to avoid the high rise hotel / condo area. And, we are so hsppy we did. We walked just about everywhere because the apartment is just across the street from Surfside Beach. And a couple of blocks from The Marketplace mall. The Casino is next to the mall.

Fred suggested we eat at the West Deck on our first night. The food was great and we went back and suggested it to others.

Fred also suggested walking south on Surfside Beach and exploring. We ended up at Reflxions Beach Club and Restaurant . Once again, good food and a fun way to relax. We rented chairs and an umbrella for US$20 for the day!

Walking / exploring Oranjestad is an adventure. 5 min or less from the Marketplace. Many places to eat and shop. Since you will be in an apartment there is a grocery store Mercardo in downtown. It caters to locals so the prices are much less and variety is superior to convience store in the Marketplace.

There is s new upscale mall. The result is that there are numerous empty store fronts in old downtown. There are still plenty of shopping options so don't miss this area.

Consider The California Lighthouse Dinner$$$ but truely unique, the Chop House at the Rennisance$$, and the Atlantis Submarine.

NOTE, Arriving in Aruba by plane is easy and quick. GOING back to US Allow 3 hours extra!!

We stayed in the Junior Studio for 3 weeks and had plenty of space. Clean, secure and lovely with all the foliage. Fred is very friendly and chock full of information. He is also very well travelled.
It is walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. We walked to Surfside Beach almost every day. The free Trolley rides in town are a hoot and they make beer stops, we rode it for hours. The only time we needed a taxi was to go to Noord for a Covid test for our return trip to the US. We had a wonderful time and would definitly stay here again!

My stay here was wonderful! Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 5 days and had a blast. Fred was awesome he was very welcoming, made us feel at home. The villa is a walking distance to a few bars, restaurants, markets and beach which was very convenient. Our place was very spacious and comfortable. 2 ACs which kept the place nice and cool. I’d definitely stay here again highly recommended.

We really liked this place. The location is outstanding! You need to remember this is not a hotel, so you are responsible for your own daily cleaning. It is an island chateau, with individual apartments. So it is a little more like living there rather than visiting. The shower is warm, the water is drinkable, don't flush paper. We thought the owner Fred Gee was awesome whenever we saw him. We read earlier comments so we knew what to expect and what to ask for when we arrived. We'd book it again.

Property had no sign outside stating you were at the right location. Only street parking no parking lot. No blankets on the bed only a sheet. Air conditioning didn't work at first until the owner fixed it. No iron only a board. No hair dryer and the water only reached lukewarm never hot. Other than that, the location was good and the place was clean although we never got any housekeeping over the 4 nights we were there.

Five minutes drive from the airport. In a nice quiet area, right across the street from the beach, walking distance to downtown, the mall, and great restaurants nearby. Our apartment had plenty of parking space, it's own entry, one bathroom and one bedroom. It had a sofa bed in the living room, but the owner left us an air mattress for my 2 kiddos which looked more comfortable. TV and internet were available at all times. Kitchenette served its purpose. Very thankful that both sleeping areas had ACs.
Fred was very thoughtful and left us some beer and wine in the fridge the day we arrived. There was also a water jug in the fridge (tap water is safe there).

Excellent hotel near all of the action.

Fred greeted us at the gate to the hotel and explained to us the room set up and how to access the room with the keys given. Fred was very polite and had a great personality. He stated that he was available to answer any questions and provide anything we needed. The room was clean and the furniture was maintained. The bathroom was also clean and fresh linens were provided. The main living area and bedroom even had air conditioning units...which were definitely used. There are nice gardens around the hotel and I was intrigued by the hummingbird next rest outside our room door.
A small beach and a great beach bar is right across the street. A short walk away are all of the restaurants, casinos, shopping, movie theater and bars. We had no problem walking to and from the action and the hotel was in a very safe neighborhood...just right off of the main street into the town center. The crowds in the center of town ebb and flow as the cruise ships dock and depart. The bars and restaurants in the immediate area close between 10 and 12 AM. However, you can take a short taxi ride down to the Noord area where all of the high rise hotels area and there are plenty of bars and eateries that stay open until 2, 3, 4 and 5AM.
Overall this was an excellent trip. This hotel is far enough away from the town center to have some privacy and peace but within walking distance (less than mile) to all of the excitement of the capital. Aruba is "one happy island!"

Wonderful suite located next to Beach

Was a very cozy environment close to downtown within walking distance to many things like Renaissance mall and stores / restaurants and shopping in seaport village. Chaos bar, along with mango's. Prime location to the Beach. We were able to take a swing every Morning. Fred was an absolute pleasure, friendly really made us feel at home and was a treasure of information for sights and touring.

The "hotel" is actually a large house separated into individual rooms with a separate outdoor area located in a safe residential area with ample street parking.
It's convenient location is a few minutes walk to the cruise terminal, downtown shopping/dinning and one block from a beach.
We had a spacious one bedroom lower unit with a full kitchen.
As with any property there were little things that needed attention and the owner (Fred) was very attentive to the needs.
The only reason I did not rate this a 5 is because the wi-fi only works in certain rooms and the couch/sleeper bed is old and uncomfortable.

This is NOT a 3.5 hotel

Very disappointed - air conditioning didn't work until the last day we were, the room was never cleaned or sheets changed. The furniture had blood stains which he told me was rust, so gross! The owner is nice but needs to put some effort in making the place function properly and look presentable.

Non eccelle in pulizia e silenzio, io nella stanza al primo piano, senti le macchine e i camion giorno e notte. Aria condizionata e frigorifero molto rumorosi, li ho staccati. Il Wi-Fi funziona ad intermittenza. Non c’è cambio asciugarmi tutti i giorni. Molto gentile il gestore, non si paga poco , ma Aruba è molto cara . Zona assolutamente tranquilla e sicura come tutta l’isola .
