I loved that the property is right on the beach. The location is perfect and beautiful. I didn't have a balcony room but I walked out to the beach. It had been lightning when I arrived and the pool was closed. I was looking forward to that since I had been driving for six hours to get there. Mother nature ruled though and it was for everyones safety that it was closed. The restaurant was good and I took my order to my room to relax. I would definitely book here again. I traveled here solo and would like to bring my family back for a long weekend.

It was a nice stay. The beach was clean and the pool was excellent. The bathroom was very small, but updated. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the air conditioner was off long enough for the room to become hot or on so long it was freezing. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Property should not be considered a resort. Needs lots of updates and renovations. There was mold that would come up everytime you turned on the sink it the bathroom from the drain. Carpets old and smell like a wet dog. Pool has uneven pavers and a hole by the stage. There is a worker name Michael that works the pool deck who is very unprofessional, rude and unwelcoming. He can be seen drinking cocktails and smoking cigarettes in between pestering guests about arm bands after checking multiple times.The female bartender was kind as well as the restaurant workers. We enjoyed the other guests staying however, they all had the same opion and feedback. We will not be back.

Hotel was an okay place. Beautiful outdoors, directly on beach as promise but the inside needs updated. Water pressure in bathroom horrible. Dogs barking in other rooms. Hotel is further out of from town so if you wanted to walk to restaurants or other business it is two or three miles away. Overall, I would rate it about a 5.

Check in was a fiasco even though paid ahead of time. It sprinkled for 5 minutes on Saturday afternoon so no live band and pool was closed. The tiki bar is actually a shed was only open once in 3 days. There was a crack head staying on property who was tweaking very bad and followed us from courtyard between buildings to the gazebo singing loudly and couldn’t keep herself sitting still. The pics of the property are very deceiving it is very small. The rooms you can hear everything even people walking. No parking due to people that live in the area are using it to access the beach easier. We talked to someone who did this while we were there. Woke up by fire alarm 6 am on Saturday morning had to evacuate the back building for 30 minutes till fire department gave an all clear. We weren’t offered water or anything. Will not stay again. Pics on website very deceiving. Only good thing on the property was Santiago’s the restaurant but very small.

The bed sheet had blood on it. The toilet had yellow stain. The room had a bad smell. Place is not worth the money. You gotta rent the umbrella and chair for the beach 45 for the day. For the price per night they should be better with the cleaning. I won’t be staying there again.

We enjoyed the resort, it's amenities and its location on the beach. However, room and bath could use updating. We could not use the microwave unless we moved the cabinet and unplugged something else in order to plug it in. Also, after housekeeping came through, they didn't change the bed linens - they only fixed the bed. They didn't take away used dishes and didn't leave a new roll of toilet tissue. Staff in the reception and dining areas were very friendly and helpful. Same couldn't be said for other staff in the building. Overall, the public areas were very nice and well maintained, but room clearly was in need of updating.

The front desk staff, Audrea, was amazing, courteous, professional, friendly, informative and kind.
The maintenance manager was helpful, equally courteous, accommodating, professional and went above and beyond to insure our comfort.
The restaurant and Tiki bar staff were also courteous and friendly.
The grounds, pool and resort were clean and absolutely lovely, as was the gift shop. We look forward to our next visit, can't wait. Our only regret was leaving, unable to extend our stay.

Everything was excellent! Also, unfortunately, my daughter left behind two silver rings on top of the night table. She was devastated. I telephoned a couple of hours after checkout to see whether they were turned in by housekeeping. To our great delight, they were turned in by the housekeeping staff. At this point, we are working with the property to have them mailed to us. Thank you!

We booked the room with the intention of utilizing the pool bar. Unfortunately, that was not open. If you plan to see the ocean, make sure you book a room on the 3rd floor and up. Elevator was down, but they fixed that pretty quick.
Young woman at the front desk, I believe she was new, but her hospitality was the best part of the trip!

Place goes all quiet at 8pm. There are no \"resort\" activities at all. There are biting bugs everywhere! Many many many dogs - and the pet owners rarely cleaned up behind their pet. The Santiago \"restaurant: on site brought out fish and chips that looked and smelled worse than cat food (and we paid 90.00 for 2 plates of said cat food). The beach is literally like 1/4 mile from the \"Resort\". They did have free do it yourself laundry.

Our stay at the Guy Harvey Resort in St. Augustine was just okay, and unfortunately I would not stay again. The location is nice, but the overall experience did not feel well managed. We had no housekeeping for four days and had to ask for clean towels. The balcony floor was filthy, which was disappointing because that should be part of the room experience. The pool was also extremely crowded with a lot of kids, so it was not very relaxing.

The restaurant staff was friendly enough, but service was slow. Overall, the resort has potential, but for the price and the length of our stay, I expected better cleanliness, better room service, and a more comfortable experience. It was fine, but not somewhere I would return to.

The staff is phenomenal, the bartenders are awesome and the food is great. The pool is nice and the beach access is great. Our room was dated and dirty. Every morning we had sewer flies in the bathroom. The door to the hallway has a large gap all the way around which let ALL the noise from the hallway into our room.....at all hours of the day and night. My biggest complaint is all the mangy mutts. Apparently this is a dog friendly hotel. Between the constant barking at all hours and the dog piles landmines you have to dodge outside, my decision to be a repeat customer was made for me. I do not recommend this resort and I will definitely not be returning .

The room was absolutely filthy. They never even cleaned our room the first day. We had no towels . The toilet ran all night and there was no water pressure in the shower. Being a pet friendly hotel, dogs were barking all night people were screaming and slamming doors. And the worst part, the pool and pool bar closed at 6:00 everyday

The hotel was clean, but it is dated like many others have said. The water has a funny smell like hard water in the shower.Rooms seem small, comparison to chain hotels. I didn’t eat breakfast at hotel because my dinner seemed like frozen fish- fish n chips. The pool was nice and they had music on patio. The pool side bar was nice, my drink was a pina colada but wasn’t that great. Staff was nice, overall was ok. Pet friendly too.

This is the ultimate bait and switch hotel. The lobby was phenomenal but when you entered the hotel part ceiling tiles were sagging and stained. Very low ceilings. Room needed maintenance attention. There was a trick to flushing the toilet and closing the balcony door. Only place I have ever been that the doors don’t close behind you. Felt straight out of the 70s. Rooms were so tiny you were constantly on top of each other. No useful seating other than the bed. Beds were not queens but full size, we actually measured them. Balcony was very small but did have a great view. Guy Harvey should be ashamed to have his name on this place. Made for a very disappointing trip. We were ready to go as soon as we got in the room but we had a no refund rate. Could barely get a parking spot due to tiny lot and people parking there to sneak to the beach and pool.

When we first got there we went to the room and there was blood on the door had to call for someone to come and clean it. The one window in the room facing out to the beach which I paid more was so dirty I had to clean it and im not talking a little dirty it's was filthy. The shower door leaked so bad we had to put a towel outside of the door to keep it from flooding the floor. The first full day we had it where we didn't need house keeping. But the second day we made sure we didn't have the door hanger on so they would clean the room, we was gone all day and when we got back nothing was cleaned no new towels no turndown. Wife called and told them we wanted it cleaned and they wanted to know what it was we needed. She told them what they was supposed to do when room service comes. We went and bought laundry detergent and when we got back all the washers and dryers was out of service, when we talked to them they said they needed serviced. This was weird due to them having multiple ones. We had to go to a laundry mat. I'll tell you this for the price I would never go back with all of the issues bad cleaning. Will not give a reference for this place and would have had a better experience at a cheap interstate hotel. Way overpriced for the experience and absolutely the worse place I have ever stayed. Should be refunded.

This is a great little ocean side, laid back hotel. Awesome location. Great staff. But the owner of it desperately needs to remove the very old carpet in the rooms and place flooring. The room was great except, the carpet had odors I have no definition for. Indescribable mix of animal urine, mildew and just stink. Otherwise, fabulous location. OWNER REMOVE NASTY CARPET. Otherwise fantastic stay.

In room cards state to dial number for room service. Be advised they are not updated & avoid the mistake of dialing that number. You will be greeted by rude restaurant staff that instead of apologizing for the mix up,will just make you feel like an idiot. Because of that we went elsewhere to eat & refused to even consider eating there during the remainder of our stay. When we shared this feedback at checkout, front desk could have cared less. Hotel was nothing special as a whole, beds uncomfortable, pillows were uncomfortable, parking was awful near the area we were staying and will find something nicer, more modern for that price point next time.
