Historic property in old town center. The breakfast was underwhelming, room itself appeared clean, the shower was small and old with a plastic curtain, bathroom fan did not work and made a crazy noise. However, I would still stay here again. I enjoyed the balcony on our room, and the location is great.

This is an old establishment but that is to be expected in Old Town which is the reason we chose this location. It is super convenient to Old Town where there is live entertainment, many restaurants, and shops.

Amazing experience. Location is walkable to everything, all of the staff here are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are so cute. I 100% recommend this B&B to anyone staying in St Augustine. Breakfast was delicious as well.

Amazing, piping hot breakfast beautifully served each morning with delicious coffee in formal dining room. Location of property was perfect for exploring Saint Augustine Room was spacious. Staff kind and helpful if you want new this isn’t for you. This is a historic inn. Loved the balcony outside our door with lovely sunrise view and a great place to read and relax. I would definitely choose this place again and recommend to others

Breakfast was less than average. It is not to order you get what they are serving. It was crepe with fruit cocktail in it, literally must have been canned fruit cocktail. Then scrambled eggs on sausage and one bacon and potatoes none of which were good. The room was clean but the pillows and bed were very hard and the bathroom was so tiny. I know its and old building but the restaurant and bar area needs the carpet replaced and an old sofa removed and replaced as it smells musty. We did not have dinner there. The staff was nice so no complaints there. Great location.

Poor room condition. TV initially didn't work. Service person got it working. Left cable box and cords dangling down wall for duration of our stay. Sliding door to bathroom off track. Had to lift with one hand and yank with another to get open and closed. Door showed long term signs of damage. Not a new problem. Customer service couldn't or wouldn't move us. Didnt respond or care about our needs. Very disappointed for a 250 dollar a night room.

Beautiful charming property, breakfast is served from 9a-10a each day and was fantastic (fruit, eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage). Location is also perfect being in the heart of historic downtown St. Augustine. Virtually everything is within a half mile walk. Parking was available in marked spots. Housekeeping could have been better as we did find trash from previous guests in the cabinets and drawers.

This charming inn is right across the street from Flager College and in the historic district. The rooms are quite comfortable in an old world style. The restauraunt is absolutely exceptional. Plan a romantic dinner if you stay. Chef is amazing, and the room is quaintf and cozy. If you are looking for a romantic stay in the historic district this is the place. I highly reccomend. Our stay included a breakfast that was exceptional! Staff were amazing.

Dinner was the best in town. Blew Harry’s seafood away. Steak entree was also the best we ever had. Can’t wait to go back again.

The hotel location is perfect, it’s located right in the middle of downtown and parking was provided with no cost. The in keeper one greeted us. He was very accommodating and made our stay wonderful. We stayed in the lower floor room and it’s an older hotel With a lot of character.. The bed was being uncomfortable in the room was cleaned exceptionally well. It actually smelled great. Once again though hotel was built in the 1800s so it’s not a modern looking room but we loved it. We had dinner there that night in the restaurant was excellent. The food’s a little on the High side in terms of cost, but the quality is very good. Breakfast the next day was served between nine and 10 and it was not a buffet, it was fresh made, and exceptional. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Horrible maintenance in and outside. Wood rotted windows and sills. Feces on our bathroom wall at check in. Dirty bedroom floor. Beer bottles and leftover wine glasses along the property that go unchecked throughout the day. Noisy music from adjacent properties vibrating the room until 10pm. Broken shower door and mold all around shower. Broken countertop with jagged edge. Gutter falling down outside our window. TV screen damaged and needs replacement. This place is a dump and needs new ownership. City Code Enforcement needs to take a long look at this place. What a shame!

Location, cleanliness and breakfast were all very good. The only issue was that the bathroom door (a pocket door) didn’t close easily or completely in the Alcázar Room. Therefore, I can’t recommend this pretty room. There is also no indoor common space/lobby to sit and wait for someone.

So happy we picked Old City House Inn and Restaurant for our first time in St. Augustine! Our room was small but comfortable and had a small balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the quiet street. It's a perfect location, only two blocks from St. George Street, the trolley stop, and many of the old town attractions. The three breakfasts we had were excellent, as was the dining room. Our server the first two days was really excellent. We had an upstairs room, with a large balcony seating area just outside our door. But, the seats' cushions were thin and faded, the canopy/awning was ripped in multiple places. We bought an extension cord because there were only two outlets, outside the bathroom. (One other outlet was behind the headboard (too heavy to move, another didn't work at all. We also bought (and left in the bedside lamps) brighter light bulbs. The television didn't work -- even after calling the manager twice for instructions on the remotes. We would stay again, but knowing these inconveniences in advance, we'd come better prepared.

As our first ever stay in a bed and breakfast, it was truly wonderful! The staff was incredibly kind, the room was cute, and breakfast was great. Keep in mind you are staying above a restaurant in an old house so it is pretty old. The shower was not the best but everything else was beautiful! For sure would stay again!

The building is tired. Our room had a sliding door to the bathroom which didn’t slide easily and the shower door didn’t close. Also, the Wifi did not reach our room. Staff were very friendly and the food very good.

We had booked for the wrong date, we called and they had no problems switching our days with no hassle. The place is near shops and restaurants, easy to walk around and not have to worry about driving. Breakfast was superb, I was not expecting a gourmet breakfast but that’s exactly what we got. I highly recommend this this Inn. We will definitely be back. We stayed in one of the small rooms, but this was still spacious enough for two people to be comfortable

The property was in a very good location and had parking onsite, which was great. The restaurant needs to be updated and could benefit from having some form of entertainment, at least on weekends. The bar also closes very early, which leads to having to find somewhere else to go for a late night drink. The rooms were up a flight of stairs which made it difficult with bringing luggage up to room, and there was no assistance for it.

The only thing I will say is the check in, check out process was a little confusing because we didn’t realize we had to go into the restaurant. But when we figured it out, everything was great. If you like old Florida and your stay to be a part of your experience, I recommend!

I booked our stay based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. The included breakfast was excellent! The restaurant is open to the public for dinner so make a reservation because it’s definitely a place you want to eat. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed. Located in the historic and across the street from the Lightner Museum and Flagler College, it’s an easy walk to George St, the fort and many restaurants. We would highly recommend

This is a rustic historical property which appeals to us but perhaps not to everyone. I particularly liked the adjacent covered deck...especially in a rain shower with a bottle of wine. The restaurant was excellent and the barkeep (Mac) was a delightful conversant.

Amazing restaurant ambience and food was fine dining at its best! The Inn was quiet, very well kept and staff were attentive. We will be staying here again.

Like many Hotels today, there are not enough hooks to hang more than one towel to dry. The sink in the bathroom goes with the decor but there is no place to lay out your toiletries. Very high tub and a wooden floor partition that is a trip hazard so not recommended for Seniors like us even though the location was right at street level and the Restaurant across the room. They only have 10 Parking spots so get there early and avoid taking the car out!

Old City Inn Stay
The service was excellent. We checked in late and they accommodated that for us. The room was comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was fresh and a culinary experience. The location of the hotel is in the heart of St. Augustine and a very short walk to St. George street. Parking for the hotel was very easy and accessible too. I highly recommend this for couples wanting to get away and enjoy some alone time.

A Sweet Spot in St Augustine
We really liked this inn. It was quiet, private and friendly. The restaurant’s breakfasts which are included in the room price are fantastic. We ate dinner at the restaurant our last night and were glad we did since it is one of the top-rated restaurants in St. Augustine. I found the inn to be very charming. My husband would have liked something a little more modern, but I enjoyed its quaintness and personality. It’s also right in the heart of the historic district and walkable to anywhere! Very enjoyable visit. No one was there when we checked in, but someone came within 5 minutes after I called. Checkout was accomplished at breakfast where I was told the hotel would charge the credit card on file and my receipt would arrive via email.

Great location to walk to attractions. Parking was reasonably convenient. The included breakfast was very good, but there was no coffee or other beverages available anywhere on the property until breakfast was served at 9:00. We walked a few blocks to a coffee shop the first morning. There was some street noise and street lights that were hard to block out. Bathrooms could use updating.

If you want to explore Saint Augustine, this B&B is in an ideal location. You can walk to pretty much everything. It is definitely an old building with a very small bathroom. We asked about staying another night but no one got back to us. The TV was broken. It only got one channel and when we called, no one responded to our request to fix it. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room itself was also very clean. There are no elevators so you have to walk up a steep flight of stairs. The breakfast was delicious. I understand the restaurant is very popular although we did not eat dinner there.

The pros are the breakfast was 5 star fabulous! The location was fabulous and the property was quant. The cons are that The property is very old and the room was super small. The floor and whole room was not level so we felt like we were walking downhill io go to the restroom. The toilet was not sealed properly so it leaked and sometimes smelled like an odor was coming from the sewage. The shower had a curtain that was stained, we didn’t feel comfy to take a shower in the two days we were there. Wouldn’t stay again.

This place was fantastic. The staff were just wonderful and everything was perfect. Gorgeous two course breakfast was elegant and wonderful. Restaurant dinners were 5 star. It was a perfect stay.
