Definitely my go to place from now on when I visit st Augustine. Continently located. With in walking distance for anything you may need. Clean rooms, friendly staff and the price you can’t beat. Especially traveling with dogs. Would recommended 10 out of 10. The best beach to go to for pets is surf side.only a 5 mile trip from the motel. Great free parking and the beach is right there.

Very cute hotel. Staff pleasant and as helpful as they could be. Unfortunately our a/c unit was either full blast or off. Room was freezing. Consulted front desk and was told to use a plug in heater to warm room up. Control panel on unit was non functional. Maintenance was aware and stated that part was on order. Not sure why anyone would be placed in this room. The bed was not comfortable, slid on platform and was hard. Outside traffic and train noise could be heard all night.

Our stay was disappointing. The AC stopped working on the second night. the employee who came up insisted it was blowing cool air, even though it clearly wasn't. I gave it more time to see if it improved but it never did. Around 2 AM, I called again and explained that if the issue couldn't be fixed, I would prefer to check out the next day. After some back and forth, we were finally moved to another room. Unfortunately, that room had a gnat problem, with a worrisome amount of gnats flying around. Overall, the handling of the AC issue and the condition of the replacement room made for a very frustrating experience.

Where do I even begin? We arrived, checked in, and barely had time to drop our belongings before rushing out to help set up for a wedding we were attending the next day.

When we returned, the condition of the room was unacceptable. It smelled strongly of urine, and there was visible feces on the bathroom wall. The shower curtain appeared as though it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Both desk chairs were covered in crumbs and dirt, and there was debris on the floor beneath the table.

The mini-split air conditioner did not properly cool the room and was filled with dust. There was no mat by the door, and since it was pouring rain during our stay, the floor became wet from us walking in. The TV had no instructions, and the alarm clock was set incorrectly, going off at 2:45 a.m.

Parking was also a major issue, with far too few spaces available for the number of rooms.

At 10:45 p.m., I called the front desk to ask about cancellation options, as I was not willing to stay another night in those conditions. I was told the second night would be canceled and that we would only be charged for the first night.

I will never stay at the Flagler Inn again and would not recommend it to anyone.

They advertised coffee in the room but there was no maker and was told I would have to go to the lobby of if I wanted coffee but it was closed at night and not open until 6 am. So no early morning coffee for me.

Upon checking in, the lobby was clean and the staff member was pleasant. Check in was fairly simple. We were given our room cards and a slip with the wifi information/password on it. The wifi never worked. Room was clean, no frills, which was fine. First night, the Television stopped working. Next morning, went to the free breakfast in the lobby. Way below average. It is understood that typically the free breakfasts that are offered are not gourmet or fancy - that was not the expectation. However, this free breakfast was truly not good. The eggs and the sausage were basically rubber. We opted to go out to breakfast the following morning. We notified the front desk of the television issue and the maintenance man came out and fixed. He was very helpful and pleasant. No real issues with the staff, they were nice, however, front desk did not really want to help. Asked them how to get to a certain tourist spot (which was only about 8 minutes from the hotel and was told to Google it. They do allow dogs, which is great for dog owners. We had some dogs below us and all night heard barking and whining. Was not the right hotel for us and we will more than likely not be back, even though the price was fair.

We booked 2 nights but left after the first night. The bathroom was so small you couldn't even turn around and was filthy. They painted all the rust around the shower which was all chipped away. There wasn't a coffee maker or coffee in the room and when we went to the desk she said they don't offer it in any room. My advice is don't stay here. Live and learn

We had such an “amazing” experience that we lasted a full 4–5 hours before leaving.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear cleanliness was more of a suggestion than a standard. The floors were sticky, the headboard looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in years, and the sofa was covered in stains that I didn’t even want to think about. The bathroom? Let’s just say the mold in the shower was thriving.

The room also doubled as a walk-in freezer thanks to a broken AC unit that was stuck blasting cold air. Naturally, the bed came with what can only be described as decorative sheets—no real blankets. When we asked for another blanket, we were given a thin, stained sheet that somehow made things worse.

After a few hours of freezing, avoiding surfaces, and questioning our life choices, we decided to cut our losses and leave.

If you’re looking for a place that redefines “basic cleanliness” and “comfort,” this might be for you. Otherwise, I’d strongly recommend staying literally anywhere else.

This property had very nice common areas. We got in very late and think because they were likely fully booked and we needed an accessible room we got a room that hadn’t been used or cleaned thoroughly for a while.
The sheets were stained. We requested clean sheets and were some new ones right away. But because of the musty scent in the room and my asthma I couldn’t sleep in the room and kept having asthma attacks all evening. I ended up sleeping in our rental van outside our room. My husband said he slept comfortably. If my health was better I could have possibly stayed as well.
I am not sure that the other rooms would have had the same issues as the other reviews are good.
We ended up moving to a different hotel because of my health.

First, the on-line photos never revealed this was a motel. The photos of the rooms were not truly representative as our room was severely dated. One of the 2 queen beds in our room was on a makeshift frame that kept moving.

Then learned of much nicer places in the area at comparable prices that were actual hotels!

The shower curtain and floor had mold.
The stairs and landing were in need of sweeping. We were given one washcloth with the towels and one roll of toilet paper for the room.

I did not use the pool or activity room.
The Internet was unstable when I was there at night.
My room was in general clean, it did need a deep cleaning like on walls and curtains. The room will benefit from a new AC unit, this one would make a loud noise, the water dripped outside by the steps, I did report that, it was a safety hazard.
Lastly, at night you will hear the loud train which for me, sounded like every hour on the dot; the second night I heard it less, maybe I was pretty tired.
If I would go back, yes.

For the price I really can’t complain. Especially when it does include a basic hot breakfast which is much better than the typical continental breakfast at most places. My only issue was the train. There is nothing the hotel can do about it, but there is a crossing close to the hotel. The first night I was there the train went through 5 times blowing the horn 4 times at each pass. The rest of the time it was twice a night. If you are a light sleeper of struggle to fall back asleep keep that in mind.
