Staff were fantastic! Service with a smile and provided great information regarding places to eat and see!
I asked about the noise from the ice machine, and by the time I returned to my room the noise from the machine was addressed as promised!
Lobby, room, and especially bathroom was very clean! Great stay and will definitely stay again!

The wonderful Marriott \"signature scent\" was throughout the hallways, but the room itself stunk of human body. Had to ask that the room be serviced across a multi-day stay. Valet did not offer to help get luggage out of car. Eat breakfast elsewhere..$50 and sad

My husband and I came up from St. Petersburg to spend a few days for relaxation. This was the perfect hotel located near the district area so that it’s not far to walk into but far enough that it’s quiet. Super clean and nice rooms, very pleasant staff. Loved it.

This hotel was beautiful and captivating to say the least when you first walk in.

The staff was very nice and the restaurant and bar were amazing. However; the beds were very hard and we had trouble sleeping on them it was like sleeping on the hard floor..

They should get beds a little more plush for the price, also we had 2 queen beds and one bed was next to the shower wall with only a white frosted wall between them so if someone had to go to the bathroom the light comes on wakes that person up.

They should have a DARK panel next to that bed so not to wake your other person up. It was very bothersome.

The VIP parking I think everyone knows what that is, but every time you would take your car out the Valet guys were in your face commenting on tips we should give and was very bothersome and obviously the hotel must pay them nothing or very little. I think this beautiful hotel needs to work on that.

And other thing like did we just get a crappy room because we booked through Expedia?
The desk chair was filthy to even want to sit in it. lMy wife have medical issues fell ill and we left a day early because of that, but overall this hotel needs a little work to become even better for the price like include a free continental breakfast at least as they wanted like $18 just for that per person so no cool.

It’s in a wonderful location and would stay again if they change a few things.

Hotel has a great location for St. George st shops. Room was clean and very comfortable. Only issue with room was a slight whirring noise at night- perhaps exterior mechanical equipment?? Check in person was overly aggressive in pushing hop on hop off tours- she claimed they had the best price but that was not accurate as we got a better price at visitor center. Parking $40 a night seems unnecessary in a small place like st Augustine fl.

I had a bad experience ever at this hotel. They did not have the room I booked available. They offered me a credit for the valet parking (worth of $40 per night) and then they proceed to charge my card for those 40$ per night. I left one day earlier because of the unpleasant experience and after arriving home I found out that they have made an additional charge of over $400 to my card. I called them and they claimed to be a system error. What was supposed to be a Happy Year End experience became a nightmare!

I booked the Renaissance because it’s slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main square, yet still part of the Historic District. The hotel, itself is lovely and has great amenities. The bed may well be the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, and that counts for a lot after a long day of exploring. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful i would definitely recommend it to any one visiting Historic St. Augustine, FL.

Horrible stay on my anniversary. No water pressure and the water would not get hot. Bed was terrible like laying on plywood. Pillows should be thrown away because of the lack of filling. It was like sleeping on a dish rag. TV remote did not work at all. Honestly I have no idea how anyone could be happy with this establishment.

Overall, I'd say our stay was okay. I feel for the cost, there should have been more amenities included. For example, parking, decent coffee, and nicer toiletries. Everything was immaculate and the beds were comfortable enough. We were on the first floor (probably because we booked at the last minute) so having a balcony wasn't as nice. As well as it being noisier, because we were right inside the doorway to the lobby.

This is a beautiful new hotel built to look like a famous historic one in Saint Augustine. Everyone at the hotel and the attached restaurant were incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. The location is perfect! A quarter of a mile walk and you are right in the middle of historic Saint Augustine. We’ll definitely stay here again!

The Hotel and our hotel room was very clean.
At times it was very cold and not possible to warm it up at any time. We missed not having 24-hour coffee in the Reception/Lobby. Having Starbucks instead made us feel like the Hotel/business desperately had to try to squeeze every dime out of you/us. Liked the \"clean water feature\" where we could fetch drinkable water. We gladly pay more for \"free breakfast\" (with real eggs and fresh fruit). Take a look at The French Quarter Inn, where we stayed in July 2025. Loved their concept of breakfast and Wine-Cheese in the afternoon. Staff were wonderful everywhere in the Hotel and Restaurant, Renaissance Hotel that is/was.

This was a highlight for my 15 year old and myself. People always travel just to shop but this time we wanted a memory and we got one.

I love the convenient location we were able to pop out the door and just enjoy the walk to a small downtown hub I'll call it. So many wonderful cafes and shops it was like being in a historic village nothing like the bigger parts of Florida.

I loved the ambiance of the hotel so creative and the stairwell what a beautiful site for amazing photo opps.

Why have a terrace to look at power lines and peoples backyards.

Water pressure was bad. Both days. Hard to even get shampoo out of your hair.

Floor in shower was tiled, slippery and slooped bad, even the shower door would reopen due to slope

No light switches by bed. Every light needed to be turned off at the light.

Mattress was not as expected for upscale hotel, slept good but was exhausted from walking the city.
