Nothing wrong with a place at all it was very comfortable. The only issue that I had with the place for the ridiculous pillows. There were more like cushions. There’s nothing like rolling over and falling off a pillow. The showerhead could be a little better but other than that, it was great. I would definitely use that place again as long they fixed the pillow situation.

They need to have the restaurant downstairs to deliver to the rooms better pool quality jacuzzi was in bubbling barely look like it was working and just all around better staff a room didn't get cleaned or they were running late I guess they were short of staff other than that we had a good day.. thank you very much appreciate it

2nd time staying here for a weekend. Great location- close proximity to the Old Town Tours. Rooms have a mild old smell, but overall clean. Nice pool and nice staffs. They have a small Columbian restaurant inside the hotel which is a plus. They are located right next to the train, which is loud, but I only experienced that 1x during stay and it was a quick pass. I will return on my next trip to St. Augustine.

There was a musty smell. The air conditioner leaked water. We had no hot water our shower was luke warm. We reported this to staff and nothing was done.
When we checked out they did not even ask how our stay was. I would Nott stay here again.

I honestly booked this one because of the hot tub and I saw several great reviews. We ended up not even going near the hot tub because this place is older.
Although I’m sure they try to keep it as clean as they can, the place was old and we were woken up all night long by the train that came through because the tracks are right next to the hotel. No one told us about the train so I feel like I need to be honest in the review!! We probably won’t stay here again.

Everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and very kind. Everything was just nice and organized. I had the best time ever and I was alone so I was kind of afraid, but I didn’t feel that way there. I enjoyed myself only problem. The refrigerators doesn’t work. They were just like room temperature the whole time I was there and that’s pretty much it one little technicality, but I still give them a 10 I loved it there. We’ll be going back from now on when I go to Saint Augustine.

The room was very nice and clean. Unfortunately, the bed felt a bit old and saggy. Also, the baseboard had a corner that was Sharp, and my husband got a little cut on his leg. I was not sure if a piece of wood was placed under the bed to stabilize it, and one of the corners was not rounded or not suitable for the bed.
We were looking for so much to go back to this place and enjoy the swimming pool and Jacuzzi at the end of the day, but this was not possible at all. Jacuzzi was broken and dirty The area around the pool was neglected with dead flowers hanging from last summer, chairs around the fireplace were dirty with food, stains, really unwelcoming . The Windows of the room are not clean and the big window on the hallway that overlooks to the lobby, which is such a beautiful window was also neglected.
Too bad for such a beautiful in traditional hotel in Saint Augustine.

I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the room was. I felt like I was receiving 5 star service from the moment I checked in. Everyone was so nice and would send daily texts checking on whether I needed anything which was very thoughtful. The property is an older property but very well kept. It's about a 20 minute walk to the historic district. There is a busy road that you have to cross but once you get past that it's a pleasant walk through through a beautiful neighborhood. The only issue I had was that both the Jacuzzi and bath tub were lukewarm at best, but neither of these were a biggie. Highly recommend!

We saw a good bit of garbage and litter around the property. Cleanliness was not great in the room. Filth not wiped down on doors and pubic hairs were in the bed and also in the bathroom. Hotel noise was significant. Not just the train which was awful but other guests. Weed smell came into our room from other guests staying below us. You do get what you pay for and we din;t pay a lot so there you go.

This seemed like it may be a classic hotel in St Augustine, so we reserved for our trip. Unfortunately, we realized immediately when we arrived that it was very different than both the photos and Expedia rating portrayed it to be. The odor of fish from the restaurant (not good fish) was extremely overpowering and the surroundings and room were not as they appeared in the photos. Maybe we expected too much, but it wasn't the facilities or atmosphere we expected. We left immediately after check-in. I'm sure it's a great place for some to enjoy, but we were uncomfortable and could not stay here.

Great place, property and rooms were clean. Pool area is nice with two covered tables and plenty of deck chairs. Back patio with tables was nice to sit along the river and watch the sunset over the river. All the staff were very pleasant. Close to the historic downtown. The cafe was nice, had a nice breakfast there one morning.

We switched to a second floor room overlooking the back waterway. There was a train in back that ran regularly and you could hear it in the middle of the night, but watching the water and the tide was peaceful overall. It was fairly easy to walk or drive to desired locations. The restaurant food was excellent, we just wish there was a larger lounge area for post excursions.

The place was musty, a dehumidifier was in the room had to be emptied twice after alarming. There was a train track with trains that rain about 30 feet from our room door. Overall I would have cancelled our stay but it was non refundable. A terrible experience. Pool was full of unsupervised children.

Bathroom door would not shut. Room smelled like mildew. Sink water faucet sprayed all over you at sink. Staff was not friendly, didn’t give clean towels or take dirty towels when cleaning room. There was a button on floor when we got there still there when we left floors were not cleaned. No fresh water or coffee in lobby. Restaurant had nothing for breakfast and prices ridiculous.

We were not told that the room had to be below 70 degrees to keep the floor from having standing water. I got out of bed the next morning to step into water all over the floor. My suitcase was all wet and the tile floor was very slippery. The shower does not have pressure at all. We arrived on a Wednesday around 8pm expecting the restaurant/bar to be open. They are not open on Wednesday evenvings. All of this should be listed in the property description. No one can complain if we know upfront what we are getting into. The property is very close to the historical district and other attractions, so that was a plus.

The beds had pillowtop mattresses and they were the softest, most comfortable mattresses I’d ever experienced at a hotel. It was very clean, nice, and in a decent location. The attached restaurant had good food. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

The photos that we saw online were very deceiving. It looked much nicer online than it actually is. It is very old, the bedrooms were not as nice as they appeared. Nothing was mentioned about the train tracks behind the hotel. Trains running through in the morning. It wasn't in the best area. Would not stay there again.

No elevators and we had rooms on the second floor---and we are in our 70s! Railroad tracks are right behind the property and they are very active through out the night. We were charged an additional $15 a night at check in because we didn't book direct thru them. We did not expect that. The walk into town was supposed to be a short one---was not very short. Encountered homeless people camping in the bushes by the hotel. Took taxis after that. The hot tub water looked like pea soup. Rooms were very dated. Beds were fine. There is a shuttle right next door that takes you to the trolley tour. Very nice and convenient

The pictures online were very deceiving and the room we had was not that clean- floor was gross, tv was terrible- not clear at all, bed was broken and loud, and the air conditioning unit was absolutely terrible- super loud all night. The property was very dated and needs more attention.
