Hotel is really old. Pretty clean considering.
The room we had was definitely remodeled and more modern. Breakfast area can use a face lift, maybe some new furniture. Landscaping and weeds need some love, makes it look a run-down.

At night the property is very pretty. Except you cannot sit under the lights and trees because it fills up with smokers, so we didnt get to enjoy that. The floors were filthy, we kept our shoes on because within a few minutes our feet were black on the bottom. I had to clean the bedside table, which was also filthy. The lampshade had mold. The \"flower\" bed at the entrance was overgrown and needed weeding badly.The staff were all very nice. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choices for everyone. With some changes and a good cleaning we would stay again, but only with changes.

I was skeptical at first after reading other reviews but ultimately satisfied with my stay. The property could use some fresh paint and maybe some new landscaping, but those things don’t matter to me. The room was clean, sheets were stark white, bed was comfortable, and the room was great size. The floors looked to be new porcelain tile in wood grain which is great because I hate carpet in a motel. The hot breakfast was good with plenty of room for seating. It’s situated right in the middle of many attractions with a trolly stop right outside your door! The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower pressure was pretty high but I guess that is better than too low.

I liked the location of the property as it was only feet away from to the hop off hoop on tram stop. it also had a few good restaurants within easy walking distance.The room was clean & the staff accommodating.I stayed there twice in 2 weeks and my only complaint was the office chairs could not be adjusted and were too low to be of use and the ac made the rooms smell a bit musty.

Breakfast was disappointing. Watered down juice. Watered down sausage gravy. Dry tasteless powdered eggs. Took a chance and booked a room. “Deluxe” king suite. Air conditioner wasn’t working until my husband fiddled with it. Living room furniture was uncomfortable and held together with duct tape! Half the furniture pictured in the photos wasn’t in the room! We left a day early. Really bad.

We stayed 1 night in Villa 1565 The room was nasty managed. This location felt more like a motel. The bed was uncomfortable. The shower was dirty and the room smelt of raw sewage. The room smell are disgusting the bathroom door was dirty. Chipping \"nightstand\" The breakfast had little options. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

Pulled in only to immediately realize the MOTEL (Not Hotel) was nothing like its pictures. As I said, this is a MOTEL, the room was less than basic, just white walls and a bed. There are no curtains and the blinds do nothing so the room is bright all night. The one ice machine was across the parking lot so getting ice in a downpour was a challenge. Hallways to get to different locations were sketchy, dark, dirty and smelled horrible. Add the number of patrons hanging around smoking blunts and you have quite the atmosphere. Last, you have to give a LOT of credit tot eh person who took the pictures as they made everything look amazing (which is was not) and this definitely includes the pool. This gets 1 star only because the guy that checked us in gave us an upgrade from the tomb we were initially assigned which was down pot aisle. Think twice before booking!!!!

When we arrived for our reservation at 3pm they said we thought yall weren't coming and gave our room away but they gave us another one. I don't know wh y they said we thought yall wasn't coming when check in wasn't until 4pm. Good location for tram to old town hop on hop off. Breakfast not good.

Room was nothing compared to the pictures online. I choose a king suite and it was nothing compared to what was online. The room had very old furniture that was torn. The bed sheets were stained the parking area was not to safe. I had stayed at hotels for under $100 and got a big moderate room. I spent over $200 for one night believing that it was like proclaimed online which it is not. Would never stay there again. Room didn't have extra lock had to put luggage in front of door in case someone would try to walk in.

This was a good place, perfectly located in St Augustine. The only thing that was very bad was the fact that the room had NO CLOSETS, so we had to keep our clothes hanged in the car. Not convenient at all, as I had few business meetings and I needed dress outfits that I was not even able to iron. Otherwise, all was okay.

We were here 4 nights and the hotel was nice. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. It's in a great location. The Mission Nombre De Dios is in walking distance. So is the Old Store Museum area where you can purchase tickets and catch the trolley. The Fountain of Youth and Magnolia Avenue are right behind the hotel, so also in walking distance and it was nice walking under the trees. The trolley stops at the hotel; which was really nice at the end of the day, after visiting the historic downtown and fort. The fort and town were too far for us to walk, so the second day we rode the trolly. I would defined stay here again.

This hotel has so much potential. The outside needs a good cleaning. The room was big. They need to get rid of the metal framed bed. The floor looked clean but it wasn’t. It needs to be mopped daily. Wear shoes or the bottom of your feet will be black quickly. The toilet seat had a crack. The breakfast was decent except the juices are very watered down. Great location next to The Fountain of Youth and you could hear the peacocks late into the night and very early in the morning.

Broken down cars right when you pull in. Lobby stinks. Staff couldn’t have cared less if we were there. Room was dirty and run down. A/c unit rattled constantly. Came to clean our room one time and it was at 5:00 in the evening when we were trying to get ready to go out for the evening. The morning we were leaving we lost power to one whole side of the room including the bathroom where someone was taking a shower. Upside breakfast was great and a lot of options. Also beware the trolley runs right through there starting at 9am so you feel like an animal on display when the trolleys come through. Convenient if you’re taking the trolley.

This property is falsely advertised. Images are photo shopped. The rooms smell of pinesol and clorox to mask the smell of mold. Rooms are similar to a physic-ward. All white no decor. Bed mattress is hard sitting on a metal base with wire frame. The room sofa looked as if it was purchased at garage sale, was stained and old. Very unhappy with this room. The room does not match the price.

Parking was great! Nice common sitting area under the Old Senator Tree in the middle of the parking area. Met a nice man from Wisconsin and had a great conversation! If you stay in Saint Augustine go to Cap’s on the Water in Vilano Beach - it was a one of a kind seafood place on the water that you will not forget!

Location is perfect with free parking. Rooms need some maintenance but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hvac worked well and was quiet. The general care of the grounds and buildings need attention. Although the pool wasn’t heated it was refreshing and clean.

Property has a charm for sure based on its surroundings. Convenient that there is a tram stop on property which makes it easy to go tour the city and travel to over 20 locations. Parking spaces are tight for large vehicles.

There was no hot water for a shower in the morning which was a bit of a bummer but place was clean. To be fair, they did say they were having issues with the hot water heater when I checked in but didn’t offer a different room. Remote for tv didn’t work and couldn’t get the hair dryer working. Charging port on the desk lamp was also broken. I did check that the outlet was reset for the hair dryer. If I was staying for more than one night I would have had to work harder for things we take for granted so hopefully the hotel isn’t the charm you’re expecting. But it is close to many of the points of interest.

Breakfast was pretty typical lukewarm eggs and sausage with an array of coffee, juice, cereals, and packaged mini muffins. Nothing I would write home about. Dining room was a little tight and getting around makes everyone uncomfortable.

The pictures are much nicer than in person,
Couldn't hardly see the pool from all the shrubs grown up, Room was ok but not what i expected. Shower water pressure came out a trickle. The furniture was scratched up and a big patch of white spray paint on the wall under the TV. The morning of my departure i was going yo get breakfast and as i opened to door a huge roach ran up the door and stayed there until i left. Spend more money and stay someplace nicer. I was beyond disappointed. I will NEVER stay there again.
The lady that checked me in also was holding her sleeping child the entire time she took care of my check in. Not professional at all. The breakfast was luke warm and only had like 8 tables in there for guests to sit and eat at. People were standing up waiting for people to leave so they could sit down and eat. Horrible stay from beginning to end..

The Property is old, fully expected. The walls were dirty, dust on the main wall, like a picture had been there and removed and dust remianed. Shade and windows were dirty/stained. Heavy dust in the bathroom fan. Very very heavy smell of bleach. Bedding/towels were clean. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner was loud. Small convience store attached was a bonus. Breakfast was the exact same every day and subpar. Locstion was just as described, 20 min from downtown. Felt safe walking. The sitting area could be nice if it was cleaned up daily. I have tried communicating thru our booking but have been told to call when someone in charge is present, which is during working hours only it seems.

It later smelled like bleach attempting to cover a mildew smell the rest of the stay especially if you turned the ac off. The breakfast was ok, a bit cold. Property outside and in needs a good overhaul, furniture very basic although beds were clean, shower floor not up to standard and no lock on bathroom door. Swimming pool could do with a new lining as well. I paid in full upon booking but still had to give credit card on arrival. Instead of taking imprint of card they charged me 100 dollars deposit which was taken from my card immediately now I have to wait 2/3 days for refund since checking out x

AVOID AVOID AVOID this hotel. The pictures shown here do not match the condition nor the way this property looks like. It’s dirty, old, bad maintained, it’s just nasty. I booked a different room that the one I was given. I walked out right away with my son. Don’t waste your money. I found the spark Hilton down the road for 30 dollars more and was one thousand times better! Learn from my mistake. Going cheap is not the best way… you will regret it. This hotel is nothing like it looks in the pictures. Be aware.

filthy filthy filthy, it can be out dated which it is, But at least it could’ve been clean, Lack of effort by anyone in that place to clean anything, the floor was black (dirt) the walls, counter top, I’m glad i travel with Lysol and bleach wipes, shoes were on the whole time, we checked in, went to the room, we didnt even unload the car when i went back to the desk and asked if there is a refund policy, she stated “ You booked through a third party you would have to address that with them, She then offered a different room, was slightly better than the first, but filthy filthy filthy, we stood on a towel to shower, curtains filthy and on the window backwards, furniture tore and filthy, requested extra flat sheets to cover the furniture to have something to sit on, the bed was the only thing clean, that place has so much potential, if they would take pride in their work and understand everyone dont get to take vacations at least when they do and spend that kind of money it SHOULD BE CLEAN.

The first room we were sent to had mold growing on the ceiling. The front desk moved us to another room without any argument. The second room that we went to and stayed in was not clean at all and had a horrible smell to it. We were unable to relocate to another hotel so we dealt with it but I do not recommend anybody stay at this hotel. There were bugs in the room, the floor was absolutely filthy, the furniture was covered in rust, and the air conditioner was full of mold on the inside. The people walking around the property on the outside made me feel very concerned for my child that was with me. This is not a nice place to be.

The property is very old and while they tried to renovate the interior, the furnishings are cheap, chairs filthy, and tiny flat pillows. Ample parking however and linens were clean. Biggest thing is the bathroom door was too small for the opening and left a gap where you could see straight in
