We booked the Gold room in the cottage. Huge jetted tub, chocolates and sherry in the room. Coffee maker in room. Main house has refreshments, lavender packets for your pillows, aromatherapy towels and terrific breakfast. We ate breakfast then walked 200 ft to maple Street biscuit company for mimosas. Perfect location! Staff was so nice and informative. Will be back!

Our stay was magical!! We were able to check in a little early and we were allowed to leave our car before check in so we could enjoy walking around and sight seeing. The location was perfect, it's close enough to walk to most of St Augustine's attractions, shops and restaurants. It's also just far enough from the busy st George Street so it's quiet and peaceful at night but still very very close and easy to walk to. The staff were amazing and accommodating. Lisa, the manager was absolutely wonderful and made sure our stay with them was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, a plus was we were able to eat it out on the patio. They have wine and non-alcoholic drinks available which was nice and the most delicious cookies!!! The room was immaculate and full of old world charm with the benefit of modern comforts. Even the toiletries were great! The staff was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area and has great recommendations for your visit. The only thing we were unhappy with is we couldn't stay longer. We will be visiting again for sure!!

Enjoyed our four night stay. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great. The availability of soft drinks and bottled water any time was a very helpful and nice touch. We did not avail ourselves to the freshly baked cookies in the afternoons but they looked delicious. There were other nice touches provided by the inn that we thoughtful.

We stayed in the Amethyst room which was beautifully decorated and furnished. Bathroom was very roomy, well decorated and appointed with high quality materials. Bed was very comfortable with quality linens. We checked in after 4:30 pm so we were helped with checking in and keys over the phone as the staff leaves around 4 pm. This worked out great with the exception that we did not avail ourselves to check in orientation.

Our room received a light refresh upon request half way through our stay. We wished we had understood room servicing and cleaning so we could have had our expectations in line with the service. We blame ourselves for not meeting with a staff member the next morning after check in for a full orientation.

We appreciated the property’s convenient location with relation to all of the activities and restaurants. Free parking was a plus and we had no problem finding a spot to park and found the spaces roomy and easy to access.

We would recommend the property to others looking to conveniently and comfortably experience St Augustine.

Amazing bed and breakfast right in the heart of St. Augustine. Walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants on St. George Street. Lisa, the property manager met us on site and got us settled in. Each morning we were there the breakfast was so delicious! The Inn, while historic was obviously well kept and loved. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the historic St. Augustine area.

Even umbrellas At the door for rain days. Staff was super nice and room was well appointed, comfortable and authentic. Soaps are still individual (thank you!) and even has bath robes. Literally, had no issues with this B&B and was very impressed with everything. Very well run and sooo much better than a chain hotel in my opinion. Just great.

Our stay at the Carriage Way Bed & Breakfast Inn was wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and right at home. The inn is charming, intimate, and filled with thoughtful details that make your stay comfortable and memorable. A special thank you to Lisa, the manager, who was incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive. She truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel cared for. One of the things we loved most was feeling like we had stepped back in time. This beautiful historic home is full of character and history. Because it is a protected historic property, some features reflect its age, and many repairs require city approval to preserve its authenticity. We appreciated Lisa taking the time to explain this and helping guests understand the importance of preserving such a special piece of St. Augustine’s history. The homemade breakfasts were absolutely delicious and not to be missed! They were the perfect way to start each day. Another huge plus was the parking. Once we parked our car, we never needed it again. The location is perfect for exploring historic St. Augustine on foot. We enjoyed walking hand in hand through the beautiful streets, visiting shops and restaurants, exploring the fort, and taking in all the charm the city has to offer. If you’re looking for a unique experience filled with history, hospitality, delicious breakfasts, convenient parking, charm, and an unbeatable location, Carriage way Inn is it. We highly recommend this place!!!

Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfy. Breakfasts were gourmet, with a different menu every day. Beautiful spot for a stay in St Augustine

Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We arrived 30 minutes before check in time, but the manager had no issues getting us in a little early. When hearing we were in the area getting married, she left a bottle of champagne in our room which was a very sweet gesture. Our room (Gold room) was wonderful and the jacuzzi tub was perfect after exploring downtown. Our room stayed cool and was very tidy. Breakfast was fantastic. This was by far the best trip we have ever taken together and our stay at Carriage Way was a large part of that. We are already talking about coming back!

I recently stayed at the Carriage Way Inn Bed & Breakfast in the Sapphire Room during a trip my daughter and I took together, and we had a lovely overall experience. The room itself was very nice, full of charm, and the bathroom was especially spacious, which made our stay even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience.

Parking was also very convenient, with ample space located on the side of the house—definitely a plus.

The only downside for me was the front porch area. It felt a bit dated and could use some TLC—there were older ceiling fans with visible rust, one of the planters had dead flowers, and the furniture seemed worn.

Overall, it’s a charming place with great service, and with a little attention to the outdoor space, it could be even better.

The Inn is very cute and quaint, very small and cozy. It's an older building, being in St Augustine, but it is very well kept and a nice place to rest your head while going around town. Breakfast was a standout, as was the nightly availability of drinks or snacks. Staff was very helpful and we never felt like we didn't have privacy or what we needed.

We liked the free wine, water, soda and cookies. Staff was friendly. The floors in our room was not clean. The room, Tanzenite was on the first floor and very noisy. The breakfast was not very good with no choices. The location was great and parking was included. We would not stay there again.

The property is set on a quiet street. I loved that they had coffee, tea, water etc available at all times. It was amazing sitting on the front porch enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable, and check in was easy even though we had to after hours. Breakfast was the perfect portion size and delicious. Would definitely recommend!

First off, the staff is tremendous! Really impressed.
The rooms are unique but cramped. I love the little details they provide.
Here is something I hope the consider. First off, please clean the outside patio of debris and dirt. Spruce up the landscape and the house needs to be power washed asap. Fresh paint would do wonders.
However, I recommend this place to anyone. The staff is great.

We had a phenomenal experience with the general manager Lisa and her chef. Very hospitable and knowledgeable for the downtown St Augustine area. You felt like you're at home and they made you feel very comfortable and the place was immaculate. I highly recommend staying here. We wish we had an extra day. We will definitely come back. Parking was also easy and an added bonus.

Room was smaller than I expected. Also noise from traffic outside the room was annoying. These things cannot be corrected by innkeeper. Just have to expected it in an old town like St Augustine.

The Emerald room was great, close to the parking with its own entrance. The staff was wonderful, our air conditioners were not working, but they offered us another room(which we refused) and they made it very comfortable for us with fans. It did not affect our visit at all.i would stay there again.

Excellent location to walk to many shops and
eateries with open air live music all around.
We stayed in the cottage which was a few homes away from the Inn. It was small compared to others offered but was fine for our two night stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
We visited the Inn every morning for coffee and a freshly made delightful breakfast! One morning was homemade blintzes with a raspberry sauce, a side of sausage, and a blueberry scone . The manager Theresa was wonderful and gave us recommendations of some favorite spots that we also enjoyed.
We had a slow shower drain that was remedied the same day of our report which was well noted.
All in all you cannot beat this places convenience and attention to detail( red and white wine in the parlor for your enjoyment. Every afternoon there were freshly baked cookies ready for the taking. Water, coffee, tea were there all day.

Carriage Way Inn is located in a great part of town. Away from crowds, yet within a block or two of main touristy streets.
Room could have been slightly cleaner - its an old building, but we noticed dirt on the floor and in other areas. Not a distasteful dirt, but noticeable.
AC worked great - room was well appointed.
Staff was GREAT - VERY accommodating and helpful. I'd go back just for the staff and the way they treated their guests. It was magnificent!
One last point - although away from crowds, room was often noisy from traffic or people walking outside the door. Its an old building (as noted) so not very soundproof. At times you felt like people or cars were at your doorstep!

We loved our stay at the Emerald Room at Carriage Way. The room was beautifully decorated, it felts elegant with the huge post bed and chocolates on the pillow. They had a bottle of sherry complimentary in the room along with a mini fridge full of soda. The jet tub in the bathroom was what sealed the deal for us. They had a breakfast in the morning butbwe didnt stay for it. We will definitely be coming again next year.

Great location, staff, room, breakfasts! We really appreciated the individual heat/AC units, as not all historic B and Bs give you control over your temp. We had record cold, and the innkeeper was proactive about making sure we could stay warm enough. Not our usual concern in Florida, but much appreciated!

Overall, the stay/room/staff were good, BUT one of the main reasons for choosing the room I did was because of the air-jet tub, and it was broken. Things happen and things break I can understand that, but in this instance it had been broken since the week prior, and it was never disclosed. I only found out when I actually tried using it. Another guest I spoke with mentioned their heater had also been broken, so it just seems like maintenance is lacking. Staff was very apologetic and even offered me a discount which was great, but it's been about 10 days since I checked out and still nothing. So here we are with this review. For the cost, I expected more than what could've been had at a standard motel for far less money.

This was our second time staying at Carriage Way Inn B&B. Another outstanding night. The staff is friendly and attentive. The amenities such as free soda, water, and wine (!) are wonderful. Let’s talk about breakfast…a vegetable frittata with red pepper sauce, a thick slice of ham, and a muffin? WONDERFUL!
The location to shopping, sites of interest, and restaurants round out the experience. We will only stay here when we travel to St. Augustine.
