I gave less-than-perfect to property maintenance due to the surrounding flower beds being raggedy and full of weeds and sand; they look ignored. The minor stuff matters.
Otherwise, our stay there was excellent, with polite and helpful staff, and the interior of the hotel was clean and well-maintained.
Beds were comfortable and rooms were more than adequate size.
While we normally don't watch much television, the available lineup on their cable system didn't have much in the way of local stations and local station network programming. Didn't matter much to us, but during long rainy days, it could matter to others.
There was no free breakfast, but we don't eat breakfast. There are coffee machines in the room. Ice water was available in the lobby with, I think, lime slices in one container, and lemon in the other. No coffee in the lobby, but not sure about that, as I used the room's coffee.
Would stay again, as it's only a 15-minute stroll to the center of the historic district, and we need the exercise.

The hotel was nice, and the staff was professional, friendly, and courteous throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our room had a leak during the rain, which left it feeling a bit musty and humid. Thankfully, we were able to keep the air conditioning running at a lower temperature, which made the room much more comfortable. Since the weather outside was quite hot, we didn't mind the cooler temperature indoors.

The front desk staff was especially accommodating and went out of their way to assist us, including providing excellent recommendations for places to visit in the area.

Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would definitely consider staying here again. We would simply request a different room next time.

Great hotel, great location. Customer service was great. Breakfast was good for the price. Great bar in the lobby the food was very good for dinner. Walking distance to great attractions.
Just be aware that the hotel offers complementary bikes, but they are not in conditions to be used flat tires and have rust and very dusty bikes. Mind you they have two good bikes in the front that they don’t allow you to use.

Bathroom was clean. AC worked very good especially while sleeping. Our front desk clerk when we checked in on 6/28 was a little dismissive in her attitude. Not a pleasant lady. Breakfast was good but croissants were totally DRY. Breakfast was not worth $17 that was charged. All things throughout the hotel were very clean ie, lobby, elevators, hallways etc.

Was quite taken back when I checked in and was told I had to pay additional for parking. You would think with what you pay to stay at the hotel, you could at least park your vehicle in the same lot. Especially since nothing else is included with your stay except a complimentary cookie.

Clean room, comfortable bed and located within walking distance to a lot of the attractions. Helpful tip if you go on the trolly tour the last stop is across the street. Which is a bonus after a long day of walking and baking in the sun. If your lucky enough to get a parking spot don't give it up because the lot fills up quickly. Especially at night. The Japanese restaurant next door was good as well. All and all it was a good pick. A little spendy but you get what you pay for. You do have to pay for parking but you pay for parking everywhere in st Augustine.

The front desk worker, Olivia I believe her name was. She works the AM shift. She was so unhelpful and generally seemed like she didn’t want to be at work. We arrived early and requested to hold our bags behind the desk. A service that is usually easy to accommodate. The clerk refused. I explained to her that I have medication that cannot sit in the car while we wait on a room to be open, I needed to keep my bag indoors for medical necessity. She still refused to help or even offer solutions. She told me she didn’t have room to hold the bag however I could visually see the bag hold area and it was not even close to capacity. I ended up leaving the suitcase in a quiet area of the lobby and left. When I came back what do you know, the bag was behind the counter where they hold bags. The PM employee was friendly and pleasant to work with but AM shift lady… i literally moved to a different property when we decided to extend our stay because I didn’t want to interact with her.

Not great but not terrible. The ice machine was broken on our floor (2nd) for our entire stay. The bathroom in our room (especially the shower) smelled of sewer gas. The pool could have been cleaner. And lastly, the breakfast buffet cost $17.99 per person. We are not big eaters and would never get our money's worth for that. Ended up going off-site for breakfast. The staff was helpful and overall nice. Probably wouldn't stay there again though.

The cleaning staff did a pretty good job, but I did find a hair tie on the floor that wasn’t mine. Big thanks for the bottles of water. The bathroom was too small. The tub height was uncomfortable to get out of for older people. The shower should have a hand held shower head. Even though I shower at bedtime I need to wash my hair to set it in the morning. Very hard task with the stationary shower head. The breakfast was not doable and overpriced. Because of surgery I can eat about 2-3 ounces of food per meal. My husband and I usually share a meal, but nope not at the hotel , $17+ each. We have stayed in a lot of nice hotels with free breakfast. The bar area was a nice place to wind down after a busy day of tourist stuff, husband enjoyed the burgers and fries, staff was great Was a little disappointed that our window view was of the parking lot but was told all rooms have only views of the parking lot. No microwave in the room, big bummer. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I chose the Double Tree by Hilton because of its proximity to the reason we were in St Augustine

The hotel has alot of charm and is decorated nicely. We had a room with 2 queen beds which was fairly cramped as it was fairly small, but doable. The air conditioner worked well, but it was very difficult to regulate the temperature so it was either too hot or too cold. The air conditioner was one of the old fashioned ones under the window, but controllable from either the wall thermostat or from the unit. The beds were fairly comfortable. There was no microwave in the room but it did have a small refrigerator. There was a breakfast buffet for an extra fee. The location was good, close to the tourist attractions through a short walk or drive. The room was fairly quiet, but we could hear some noise at times from other patrons. It was a decent hotel, but if we visited again for any length of time, we would probably find a hotel that had more spacious rooms.

We had a horrible experience at this location. Checked In only to find our “suite” was actually located in the Lobby. Extremely loud, only spot in the hotel without carpet so every thing rolling by was so loud we had to turn the tv volume up to cover it. Later on in the stay, we realized the door did not lock. So if we were not inside with the deadbolt on, anyone could push the door open and enter. We had to move to a different room that was not a suite. The front desk was not very helpful because we booked through Expedia. One night we stayed in and planned to eat at the bar. Took 20 minutes to get a drink so decided not to even wait to order food. Hilton usually does better! That’s why we usually stay at Hilton properties. This one is a definite no.
