Amazing
Naomi
This is our go to hotel anytime we stay in Saint Augustine. If we wanna feel young again, we play putt putt if we're going to a concert at the amp it's right down the street although the amp did take away the chariot rides which I don't like that has nothing to do with the hotel just FYI, and we book it cause it has a hot tub
Elizabeth
Very clean hotel and room. The breakfast was good, lots of options and good cinnamon rolls. The room walls were maybe thin as we could hear our next door neighbors talking as well as their tv. But maybe they were just talking loud! Good location across the bridge of lions; close to downtown and the beach.
Betty
Great breakfast
No bubbles in the hot tub

Hello.. All and all our experience was good. The only drawback was that the jacuzzi was not warm enough and a resident was smoking a cigar at the pool when it was clearly displayed that there was supposed to be no smoking at the pool. Other than that, my experience was ok.
Cynthia
Even though I lost my diamond ring on this stay, the staff was very diligent in proving support in helping to find it. They were helpful all my stay, the hotel a little hidden gem in St. Augustine.
Russell
Pillows need to be replaced Mattress needs to be replaced. Breakfast was fair
Raiford
The breakfast wasn’t up to par, the staff wasn’t to helpful and it would’ve been nice to know I was going to be charged $10 for parking at a hotel I had already booked and paid for.

Clean room. Easy access to The Amp and to downtown.

Every member of the staff was excellent. Special thanks to Pete, the General Manager, who personally welcomed us upon arrival and took the time to share helpful tips on everything from parking to great local restaurants during our stay in St. Augustine
Jacqueline

Room was very clean, check in at front desk not very friendly. Manager was very friendly but not the rest of the staff during the day.
Monte
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Room was clean and the place was quiet.
This advertises as near the historic district but it is a ways from there.

I was only there 1 night, but breakfast wasn't quite the standard \"Holiday Inn\" breakfast offerings, but I found something sufficient from what was offered.
Scott
Staff was helpful but not very friendly compared to a holiday inn express 2 nights before.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the gym was well-equipped with plenty of machines, but the room itself was disappointing due to a lingering weird smell, dusty surfaces, and a sticky floor. However, the stay ended on a high note with a breakfast spread that was much larger than I expected. While the amenities and hospitality are great, the room cleanliness definitely needs more attention.
Renata
The property was very clean. The rooms were replenished and tidied daily. The day time staff were very nice and would greet you. The night time staff would get you what you needed but seemed to prefer not to speak unless prompted. The rooms were quiet but very compact. I didn't love the sliding bathroom door for privacy reasons. I'm not sure about all of the beds, but our bed was not comfortable at all. I almost asked if we could have our room changed just because the bed was so uncomfortable. Again, this could have just been the bed in our room because most guest reviews show good reviews for the bed. The breakfast was good and a different selection each day that we were there. Overall good experience.
Steven
Very clean and well maintained. Staff was accommodating and pleasant.

I was very impressed as to how kind and professional the staff was. And the complimentary breakfast was outstanding.
Carla
The team was kind and our room was clean. The location was near the amphitheater and also near the historic town of St Augustine.

Hands down, this is the friendliest, cleanest, best decorated of all. Holiday Inn Express is always my first choice, and this one is the best of all. Super fast Internet, beautiful room, and a breakfast to beat all breakfasts. We could not have been happier with our stay, and I can’t say enough good things about it. Definitely will be back whenever we are in St. Augustine.
Karin
Nice staff, nice and quiet room, very convenient location.
Joy

Clean, great location.

Free parking for hotel guests. I had to pay $10 to park my car in their parking lot. I could hear all the cars pasding on the road. A spot light was aimed next to the window so it was not dark at night.
Brian

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and easy to speak with. The food for the breakfast was top notch, absolutely perfect. The room was clean and neat.
My only concern was the bed. It was hard as a rock. The matress was too firm. I have a firm mattress at home but this was extremely uncomfortable. My husband and I woke up very tired and achey from not being able to rest properly. I did send a note to the property but I have not recieved anything back from them. The pillows were also way to flat. But we were told they were standard use in all hotels. All in all, we always find that Holiday Inn Express is an excellent choice for vacationing, minus this mattress issue.

The room was adequate but could have been cleaner. The staff was friendly, respectful, and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast service was good, with attentive staff, though options were somewhat limited. Parking was available; however, it is paid parking at $10 per day, which should be noted when planning your stay.

Super bien!
Stephanie
Front desk was very confused and contacted me several times during the day after i had checked in to confirm my stay
Jeanette
Breakfast is your regular continental, nothing special. Room seemed clean in the bathrooms and beds. The floors are dirty. Walked around in socks and they became black. AC was great in one room and not so great in our second room. Hair dryer didn't work. Our room door lock couldn’t lock as the door is warped. Storage for clothing and hanging is almost nonexistent. Location was good. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend.

The bed was not comfortable I could not sleep has bump all over need to be upgrade to old
Christopher
We weren’t impressed. The room’s location was extremely poor—noise from the pool area, the nearby elevator, and people talking in the hallway made it impossible to relax. We also discovered items left behind by previous guests, which raises concerns about the level of cleaning performed by the staff. There was an earring on the headboard and a Coke bottle cap on the floor near the bed.
Visually, the room was nice, but acoustically it was far below expectations. It genuinely felt as if we were trying to sleep with the doors and windows open at a busy intersection. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid for the accommodations.

Pros: Proximity from downtown and the lighthouse, friendly staff
Cons: Large gap under the bedroom door; there was a bright nightlight that was part of the outlet and could not be turned off, no curtains to make room dark; coffee machine in bedroom did not work; pillows had no support; parking spaces are narrow

Excelente atención, la habitación impecable realmente es una grandiosa opción me volvería a quedar en mi próximo viaje. Lo recomiendo 100%

Breakfast was way above expectations. Room was very clean however it's proximity to the road was too close, so the traffic noise was an issue until later at night. Bathroom had a hide-a-way door but no physical stop was installed. It was completely inserted into the wall and very difficult to get out to close for privacy. Staff was friendly and courteous
Kyle
Overall, very happy.
Only negative: cleanliness issues for both of our rooms.

Upon checking out there was no one at the front desk and then when asked if someone could come to the front desk we were ignored. When asking again we were told to drop the keys off. I needed a printed receipt thus dropping the keys off would not suffice for me. I was disappointed in how the staff was inattentive and rude.

Breakfast was surprisingly good - the kids loved the fruits and yogurt and pancakes. This hotel good for a one or two night stay.

Great hotel awesome staffs and great service
Michelle
The room was great a breakfast area was small but efficient an had everything we needed! But what stood out for me was the staff and the manager!! We were traveling down from MD a got a flat tire when we pulled up to the hotel. We were only staying one night but the car wasn’t scheduled to be ready to the next day. He let us check out of the room late an allowed us to place are luggage in his office while we waited for our car to be ready. He went above a beyond a the staff was always doe friendly a checking in on us. If we ever are back in the area we will only stay there.

The room was clean, but could use updating. Breakfast was not as quality as other Holiday Inn Express hotels we've stayed at. There were no toppings for yogurt, the cinnamon rolls were stale, and there was only one flavor of muffin available and the pancake machine wasn't working. The coffee was good, though. Our room was RIGHT next to the busy road, and we could hear road noise all night. The hot tub was also out of order when we were there. We would have liked to use it after a long day of driving. The desk clerks were not as friendly as we would have hoped, but they got the job done efficiently. We normally depend on Holiday Inn Express hotels for a clean and quality stay, however, if we return to St Augustine, we'll probably try out another hotel.
Richard
The room was very clean and clearly a very good renovation. The rooms are not nearly sound proofed, so neighboring rooms can hear what is said. Traffic noise can be heard in street side rooms, but wasn't an issue for sleeping. Bed was comfortable.Breakfast was pretty good. The oatmeal could have been a bit thicker. Coffee was decent. Parking was easy.
Linda
Room is beautiful. Place was totally renovated.
Alex
This place was great inside and great location, and we would stay here again. The only problem with it is the Parking lot is very poorly designed. It’s hard to get in and out and you literally can’t get by if someone is parked in front to checkin. But clean room, friendly staff, and good breakfast.
Jan
One word: ROACHES. They were everywhere in our room. My son put his pizza in the microwave to save for later and when he came back to eat it, roaches were on it. There were roaches on the coffee maker in our room as well and in the bathroom they scattered at night. Hot tub not working and a cold swimming pool. Exercise room was great and so was the delicious breakfast with a nice variety of choices. Loved the hot cake machine
Rebecca
The room was clean and had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The sliding door to the bathroom didn't close all the way, room 109

Very quaint little property. Quiet, but close to beach and downtown St. Augustine. Would stay again. Newer property, but bathroom and shower very slippery. Breakfast was hit and miss.

I had an amazing experience at the Birchwood. The rooftop restaurant service and views were amazing. Graham our bistro bartender upstairs on the rooftop gave us the best service for a brunch in the middle of the day on Sunday.. this is a diamond experience the hotel is boutique beautiful and the rooms were cozy. Thanks!!
Janis
It was conveniently located close to everything.
Deborah
Great area, nice and clean.

Check in was flawless and the front desk was so helpful with suggestions about how to get around St. Augustine.
Upon getting into our room TV was not working so they promptly moved us to another room. Room was clean and a good size for the 3 of us. Breakfast was ok, oatmeal was watery and undercooked the 1st day but ok next day. It was nice knowing a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the trolley station and we purchased our tickets for the trolley right at the hotel.
On last night while watching tv it suddenly turned off then came back on doing the same thing over and over. Front desk came up but couldn’t fix it so since it was our last night advised them to just unplug it due to not being able to shut it off.
We would definitely stay here again.

Very small
The mattress isn't the best and the food court is very small, it only has 5 tables. I had to wait a while to sit down for breakfast.
