The hotel is built a good distance from the beach. My husband must use a walker for support and the walk was much too far for him to walk to the beach and walk over the dune to get to the water (I would estimate close to a half mile walk from the hotel to the water. You will need a cart to carry your beach equipment. When I first arrived and needed to use the downstairs restroom, it was So dirty with urine all over the seat, it was disgusting. The rooms are very small. On our second day we noticed the carpet was wet; by the evening and next morning, the carpet between the bathroom and bed was soaked, so apparently there was a leak in the plumbing. The complimentary breakfast was quite limited in selections, unlike other hotels we have been to. Our tv dropped its connection the first day, but they did send someone the next day and repaired it. Overall, we will find another hotel in the future.

We stayed 6days and when we got there I had some problems with Expedia booking my room ..The hotel staff was amazing made sure I didn’t have to change rooms 2times .They made you feel so welcome. The only thing I didn’t care for is your paying for a room and you go down to the pool and you see teenagers jumping the fence to hang out at the pool and swim. And parents that are not staying at the hotel leaving there kids at the pool while they go to the beach. But I will be coming back soon for a girls trip.

And a sanitary napkin wrapper underneath the counter in the bathroom floor ,there was also hair on the bathroom sink. There was trash all outside and the dog walking area. The room was supposed to be a beachside With our dog included, we get there. They don't have anything about our dog or the beachside, had to pay additional money's up front.Because our dog was with us.Even though that should have been included because I did put it on my hotel.com filters when choosing the room. I have never had this much problems with hotel. com.But i'm not sure that I will be using them again

I always stay in Hampton Inn in Florida, this one was a little disappointing, the room wasn’t clean, the carpet was dirty and felt sticky and dirty.
The property is not well maintained, they can do better, Hampton Inn usually has a much better standards, I felt like it was a cheap hotel / motel, didn’t like it this time.
Hampton Inn / Hilton can do better.
The staff was friendly, but the room really need to be updated and clean.

The room was nice but the doors didn't close quietly (you had to kind of force them to close and the they slammed all night long) there was a $15 dollar charge per day to park your own vehicle and the spots were very limited and tight, I do have a handicap plate and even they were very few and mostly reserved for Dimond members ONLY???

The hotel was clean overall, and the staff was pleasant. However, our room had a wet spot on the floor right in front of the balcony door, which was a little concerning. The bed was also not very comfortable — it felt like a spring was about to come through the mattress at any moment, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The hot tub was not hot, which was disappointing, and the breakfast was just okay. Other than those issues, it’s a decent hotel for a short stay.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hampton Inn St. Augustine Beach. The front desk staff was amazing and attentative. The hotel was clean in all the locations I visited. I did not use the pool or hot tub, but as I walked past it to go to the beach the appearance was clean and clear. I could see from my room that there was an attendent cleaning the area around the pool frequently.

The included breakfast was warm and the omelettes/protein/potatos were different on both days I stayed. The waffle station was clean and there was a large selection of toppings.

My room was clean. Bathroom was updated with a tub and a walk in shower. Had a functioning blow dryer, iron and ironing board all of which I did use.

The TV had a great picture, the fridge kept my items cold however there was not a microwave. But there was one in the breakfast area.

The bedding was clean and crisp, the bed was comfortable as were the 4 pillows on the bed.

Great location to the beach, the pier and a bit of shopping and restaurants.

The property and the room were great, staff was very helpful on all shifts. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We needed to ask once in our 5 day to have the room serviced but the rest of the time the room was taken care of very well. Our 4th floor beachside balcony gave us a very nice view each day. Our final evening on the balcony was ruined by someone smoking a cigar nearby. Breakfast was usual hotel food with eggs and waffles and cereals and pastries. My main issue was the beach. The hotel is on the beach but it is a very long walk across soft sand to the water and once near the water there is a 4 to 5 foot drop to get to the water's edge and it is a fairly long walk again to get to a spot where it is easy to get down and the up again. The hotel is within walking distance to some very good restaurants and there is a paid trolly service to downtown St Augustine. It was a very nice stay for my wife and I but we wished the ocean was more accessible

Don’t encourage people to book online if you are not going to honor the room they chose. I chose a room to view the ocean because I don’t live on the coast. I did not get that room. I got the bottom floor. And charging people to park their car in the lot where they paid for the hotel room is wrong.
