Resort made for a great family vacation. Everything was clean. We had a couple minor room issues, but maintenance responded within minutes to address our concerns. Water park was enjoyable for the entire family. Kitchen in room had everything we needed for a small family meal in the room. Resort is close to all necessary conveniences including a variety of restaurants, Walmart, and many enjoyable activities.

Pros: The room was great for 3-4 people. The place wasn’t too crowded. The room was clean, and fresh towels and trash taken out daily. Staff was nice, and the rooms were clean. Amenities were great!

Pool was great! Inside and outside option is awesome to have. Seemed like there was a bunch of options for kids to do throughout the day and night.

Hotel was close to everything and was great to get in and out of.

Cons: TV wasn’t working right for the first 3 days. Maintenance and front staff were told multiple times. Once the right maintenance guy showed up, we were able to get it working.

Inside pool would close the slides randomly, sometimes closing them for over an hour in the middle of the day. No one understood what the purpose was. Lifeguards weren’t consistent on rules. One day you can walk on the side of the lazy river, other days you couldn’t.

Shower curtain doesn’t reach the bottom of the shower, so water would cover the floor when you get out.

Overall, it was a great time. I would stay there again!

It was ok. They don't allow coolers or drinks in the pool area which is crazy since they only have a small refrigerator where you can buy a few options of drinks if you are lucky to find an attendant to get them from. It was a heatwave and we were trying to bring a small cooler in with water and we were told we had to take it back to the room. I had 6 kids with me I needed to keep hydrated. Its not like they had a pool side restaurant that would be losing business from people bringing coolers in. One life guard measured my son and said he was good to ride all the slides. The next day the life guard said he wasn't tall enough. She literally walked over and pushed his hair down and said no hes too small. We went to Dollywood and he rode all the rides. I did sleep really good in the bed, but other than that we have no desire to stay here again.

I was extremely disappointed with this stay. We had seven people in our room, so naturally things got a little messy. I called three separate times requesting that our floors be cleaned, but no one ever came. We eventually got a broom, no dust pan ourselves and swept the kitchen area, but food and debris remained on the floors for the entire stay because they were never properly cleaned.
Housekeeping was consistently lacking throughout our visit. At one point, we had three days’ worth of used towels piling up in our room. When clean towels were delivered, they were simply left on the table, and on one occasion they were dropped off in a trash bag outside our door. It certainly didn’t feel like the level of service you would expect.
The kitchen trash was emptied, but none of the other trash in the room was ever taken out, leaving us to deal with garbage ourselves.
To make matters worse, our balcony overlooked an overflowing dumpster surrounded by discarded mattresses, furniture, and other debris. It was an unpleasant view and not at all what we expected.
Aside from the front desk and pool area, I rarely saw any staff during our stay. Overall, the lack of housekeeping, poor cleanliness, and lack of attention to guest requests made this a very frustrating experience.
Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had, and I would not choose to stay here again or recommend it based on my experience.

The Resort is out dated and need of update.
The pool opens at 9am but the water slides don't open until 11am until 8pm when they had enough staff, rarely did it actually stay open all day.
There is no restaurant or snack shop on property and the vending machine were broken the whole time we where there.
What would be considered the master bedroom with the balcony and on suite bathroom had two queen beds. Our grandkids had to sleep in this room. This felt like a major safety issuedor us.The king bed was in the room with no balcony and also had no on suite bathroom.
House keeping was great very friendly.

We had a great time. We came up as a family of 6 and booked the two bedroom with a kitchen. Nice to have all the fun things to do right on site. Pools, slides, grills to cook out on, foam parties and popsicles at the pool for the kids. We listened to live music by the fire pits one night and there is even a playground while you grill out. We did not have to leave the property during our short stay for a cheer camp locally. We would return and stay again. We really had a great stay and was exactly what we needed on this quick trip for a family of 6.

Some positives: two water park areas, one inside and one outside. The rooms are large. Just a couple negatives to note- the indoor \"water park\" was scarce and both the splash area and indoor slides did not run every single day we were there. The chlorine in the indoor pool burned our eyes, it was that stong. The outdoor water park was larger but they closed the slides down early every day. My kids were disappointed with that. Room service on our five day trip was simply they would change the main garbage, take the old towels, and leave new on the counter. I guess I'm used to them making your bed and freshening up the room. Overall good stay and close to all the amenities.

Excellent location, the room was very clean, the mattress in the hide-a-bed was horrible, my grandson slept ok on it but nobody over the age of 4 would be able to. The mattress on the king bed was super hard, my husband loved it but I hated it, I was in pain every night. The water park area could have been cleaner and they shut the pool down because of the water quality. I feel like it could have been addressed earlier in the morning so that wouldn't have happened. We did enjoy our stay and would stay again with our grandson and recommend it to others that have children. We wouldn't stay there if it was just the two of us. It is definitely a family friendly place. I do wish they had a restaurant on the premises, that would be great. Then you would never have to leave if you didn't want to and if you didn't want to cook. We did order pizza for delivery and there are a few good places to eat near by.

They had life jackets and towels at the indoor and outdoor pools. Honestly amazed because I can't imagine with how busy it was how hard it was to keep it all so clean. I also went places in the resort by myself with small kids and never felt unsafe I was impressed with how kind all the staff was. We went with very small kids and there was so much they could do! This place is great for folks with kids. They have a lot of activities, and a great mini-waterpark that is included with your stay (some hotels make you pay extra to get in to their water attractions).

It was definitely an older feel, like it was made in the 80's or 90's, but everything was clean and it was a fun mountain vibe. That said, the noise of children stomping down the hallway at 6 in the morning could not only be heard, but felt as well. That is mainly why we are choosing 4 stars instead of 5.

Location-wise it was in a great spot, and it was also walking distance to a winery and other restaurants.

Fun trip overall!

Kid friendly happy place resort. Spacious room. Helpful staff. Unfortunately, we had ants in our room that we discovered the first night after unpacking. The resort offered to spray our room which we declined because we didn’t want to be exposed to the spray. They also offered to find us a similar room, but with 6 people that already unpacked, we decided to stay where we were. We felt that there were a lot of crumbs left from the prior guests which probably contributed to the ants. Aside from the ants, we had a good time.

The water park is half the size of the wilderness. The mattresses were not up to standard for $225 a night. First day could not get a float for the lazy river, and we paid the same rate on Sunday as we did for Saturday and couldn't check in until 3.The sheets were scratchy and the blankets were Motel 6 horrible! The pull out bed had a paper thin \"pad\" which allowed all the metal to poke you. I had booked a poolside view but didn't receive that. Paying 450 for 2 nights these amenities should have been luxurious. We will go back to The Wilderness next time as they did have them including down blankets for less cost! Also most activities require a pass that is $30 per child so tack on an additional $120. Very disappointed.
