Pass this place by...keep going and dont stop. We ended up changing rooms twice. The first time I asked to be moved because I didnt want to be on the 6th floor. They moved us to the 4th floor. When i went to take a shower there was hairs in the shower. I will let you figure that one out. I went back down to the office and they didnt have any more rooms to move us into. We told them just refund us and we would leave.The female that works in the office is NOT public friendly.These rooms are not cleaned. There was something spilled on the a/c and heater unit that hadnt been cleaned. Its a run down place with alot of work that needs done to it. Holes in the wall that have just been covered up and not painted. No hair dryers. The refrigerator doesnt close properly. Terrible experience at this place.

The hotel bathroom was pretty gross. Lots of discoloration and gunk buildup in the corners of floor and sink. Bedrooms were clean. Staff was ok. We only stayed one night.

We had the deluxe king suite and I can say it looked nothing like the pictures they have on their website. The jacuzzi was small, the popcorn ceiling was pealing off in a corner between the window and jacuzzi. There is a light fixture right next to a sprinkler. The metal bed frame squeaked and just to keep the bathroom light on you had to run the exhaust fan. If you accidentally lock yourself out of your room good luck getting ahold of someone if there isn’t anyone in the office. No one would answer the emergency number they provide. We had to stand and wait an hour to a hour and a half for the lady to open the office. I will say the lady that works the desk during the day is very nice. It is also walking distance to the island of Pigeon Forge.

Our room was dirty with a piece of corn in the floor beside our bed. The tub was dirty and the cover on air conditioner was half off and made you think it was hiding something inside it. Bedside table was broken off wall and our phone would slide off it. No phone in room and coffee pot was missing.Nasty terrible place !

Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean to the eye but found a lot of trash under the beds and you can definitely tell it is an older hotel. Elevator was extremely slow. The beds are some of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.

This was my first stay at this hotel. Nicely located near the Island. Did not use the pool however there was one. The room was very spacious that it could have even had room for a little table and couple chairs to sit and eat at. The price was very reasonable. Greeted very pleasantly with smiles. I will consider staying at this hotel again.

The beds, sink and shower were clean. No bugs!

You can tell the hotel needs some TLC.The room needed swept and mopped. The floor in bedroom had dirt that ended up in the bed from your feet. Not sure if the curtain had dust or mold on it. The nightstand needed a deep scrubbing. The pool was in use however the water was cloudy so would not let my children go in it.

The hotel was really busy but I do not believe I could have stayed more than one night here.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This wasn't just old or in disrepair, it was completely unsanitary and not to code. There was DRIED FRESH pee on the mattresses, poo smeared on the wall, exposed electrical, mold on the ceilings. Do not book here! Service was horrible. Manager refused to offer a refund. This is really bad. LOTS of great places for this price all over, but this one was really bad. Nothing like the pictures.

The hotel has a very good location, and the rooms are quite spacious. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately, the management does not seem to take full advantage of these positive aspects.

Overall cleanliness was poor, which was disappointing. Noise from outside and from adjacent rooms was clearly noticeable, making it difficult to rest. Additionally, the hotel does not offer late check-out or luggage storage services until departure time, which would be a valuable improvement for guests.

We actually had to leave our room due to having mold issues .We rented the 3 bedroom and upon arrival in the bathroom there was black mold all around the ceiling then In the middle bedroom the ceiling fan had dust hanging from it and the ceiling also was filthy . The first and second bedroom had ladybugs everywhere ..So we requested our money back and had to move motels ..

The room smelled like mold and mildew, even after being recently renovated. The bedding on all the beds were nasty like they had not been washed before our check in. One bed in particular had what looked like dried vomit all over the sheets. When we notified the staff they were completely unphased. They did finally come to the room and change the sheets but left the mattress cover that was also covered in vomit. We will absolutely never stay there again.

Plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. However, this is an older hotel and definitely showing its wear. There was a hole in the wall of one room (2 room suite), with areas of built up dust and dirt. We only needed a 1 night stay, and for the price it met our needs.

We actually stayed in the room the full time due to my recent foot surgery,so we had a quiet peaceful stay with a great view .Smoking wasn't far. Staff was wonderful . The 2 BR suite allowed privacy . We liked it so well we're booking again in April. Ice and elevator were convenient. We had great internet and TV. Close to everything. Our birthday getaway for both.

Well you get what you pay for. Price was super cheap. Hotel has seen better days. Our room, towel rack broken, floors not swept or mopped, windows were filthy, smelled, no tissue paper and doors needed paint. The beds were clean and comfortable. That was about the only thing good about the place. Looked at the pool and laughed, water was dirty and murky. No way would I go in there!

We have stayed several times with no issue. This time we had a 3 bedroom on the 6th floor. I knew the names of everyone in the room beside me and we never met. One child said good morning neighbors to us..thru the wall!! Had to listen to a baby cry most of the night when we paid to get some sleep.

Upon checkin we were told no water. Then room not ready even though it was after 4p. After a small arguement, i was given my key to my room.
Room was okay. Definitely an older building that has had some updates. Could be cleaner and more updated.
Once water was back on, we never got hot water in the 2 days we were there.
Pool Definitely needs to be updated. It appeared dirty but it was just the concrete that was stained. Granddaughter still had a great time in the pool. Upon leaving the pool, (the 3 times she went swimming) she was forced to take a cold shower due to no hot water.
Beds were clean and comfy.
No tray in microwave so couldnt use.
Freezer part of fridge needs to be dethawed. Couldnt use.
Office locked when tried to get coffee both mornings at 730. No breakfast served even tho site said \"continental breakfast \".
Housekeeping came in our room twice while we were gone even tho we didnt ask for new towels or our beds made. (Didnt like this part as i was traveling with myself (single woman) and my granddaughter. )
Air conditioner very old but worked.
Hardly any parking. Had to park jn a lot behind the hotel about 1/2 block away. Felt very unsafe for a single woman and 9yr old. Hardly any lighting.
Overall, i would give this hotel a 2 star.

Nice bed. The building could use a hose down. The room could definitely use a broom and mop on the floor more often. Clean the walls as well. Staff was amazing. AC was hard to regulate but I think that was just the room. Overall if you aren’t looking for luxury then it’s a good place by The Island to stay and it’s close to everything.

Stay Away!

Upon arrival at Mountain Vista Inn in Pigeon Forge, we were immediately appalled by the condition of the property. The parking lot and surrounding area were covered in trash, cigarette butts, and spilled liquids dripping from above onto parked cars. It looked completely neglected and dirty. When I went inside to check in, the front desk clerk rudely told me our room was not available even though we had arrived well after the posted check-in time. We accepted this and left to return later, but when we finally checked in, the experience was worse. The lobby was filthy, smelled terrible, and was cluttered with random items. The check-in process took far too long, and the staff was unfriendly and dismissive.

When we entered our room, we were horrified. There were cockroaches crawling around, blood stains on the walls and sheets, and cigarette burns across nearly every surface. The room reeked of smoke and mildew, and it was immediately clear this was not a safe or clean place to stay. I went back to the front desk to express concern and requested a different room. I was told there were no other options, but housekeeping would take care of the issues.

We left for several hours, hoping the problems would be resolved, but when we returned, nothing had been cleaned or replaced. We returned the keys, told the staff we would not be staying, and left. This hotel is filthy, unsafe, and should be avoided by anyone who values cleanliness or comfort.

I don't do reviews, but this needs one. Not giving this a good rating because the pictures online make it look like it's well kept and clean. Far from it. The only good thing about our room was that there was two king beds. The first room walking in was missing a lamp on the wall next to the bed and had a hole where the lamp should be. The floor didn't look like it had been swept very well. This room is the only area that had the a/c unit and the air didn't reach the back bedroom even with doors open to both rooms.The bathroom area in the middle section of the room had the sink on one side and toilet/shower on the other. The sink had the towel holder missing but one of the arms was still attached to the wall with the other piece laying in the sink cabinet. There was also a baby bottle cap in the floor under the sink that had not been swept under and could see it from sitting on the bed. The toilet/shower room is so small you have to step in to the shower to be able to shut the door. There was a hole in the wall where the door knob put a hole through it that had been properly patched before. The back bedroom gets no air from thr a/c u it but has a ceiling fan, but even with that on high, was still hot and stuffy. The walls were unevenly painted and some spots looked like two different colors and dirty with something that had spilt splashed on the wall in one corner. There was not a plug in for one side of the bed and no side table, had to use extension cord to plug things up.

Everything on this stay went well. The room was comfortable and clean though the condition of the room could have been better. There was at least one light in bathroom/sink area that didn’t work and you could tell there were things that had been broken off the wall. One thing that sort of bothered me yesterday was that I asked for a few more towels and the staff member that brought the towels acted angry that I had asked for them after the housekeeper had already been through for the day. I have never had this issue at any other hotel ever. I stay in hotels frequently while traveling for work. Aside from that issue the rest of the staff was great and friendly.

Building was very aged and lacked upkeep and updates. Rooms were bright and noisy, with sounds of water flushing overhead, people talking all around, traffic and sirens. It was the only thing available for a quick overnight stop, very expensive, and we won’t be back.
