We have stayed at The Walden several times. This time was no different. Staff members were friendly. We were greeted at time of arrival. (A warm welcome goes a long way in today’s world!) Our room was refreshed daily & stocked with fresh towels.
The manager engaged in conversation with me when I checked out. He was well dressed, professional & friendly. He thanked my family & I for staying with them again.
Highly recommend & will plan to stay there again when vacationing in Pigeon Forge!

Disturbed every night due to next door neighbor's noise through crossing door. Kids yelling and running and parents talk loud after entering their room at 1:20AM. Every evening I had to hear all their conversations and TV sounds until all the family went to bed at midnight.

Our room was okay, not super tidy when we arrived. The floor was sticky and we did have a dirty bath cloth that was folded up and displayed as clean. The front desk was very helpful in giving us new, clean linens. The floors in the breakfast area and the elevators were completely disgusting. My shoes actually became stuck in the dining area. The elevator floors were stained and visibly dirty. It was a faux wood type material that could be mopped or wiped but they haven't been cleaned for some time. We stayed in this hotel last June, and it was clean and spot less. I am not sure if it was new then or if there were different cleaning protocols.

The Walden hands down the best place I have ever stayed! The entire property is spotlessly clean, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. The breakfast is incredible, offering a huge variety of delicious, fresh options to start your day. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff—they are absolute rockstars who go above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome. The indoor outdoor jacuzzis were a delight after a long day sightseeing. An amazing all-around experience, and I can't wait to return!

I am currently having to use a walker after numerous knee surgeries, when I reserved our room I put in that we needed a handicapped room and even called the location and confirmed that we needed a handicapped room but when we checked in they did not have us in a handicapped room and refused to put us in one, the guy that checked us in was very rude and uncaring, he said if we had booked with them they would have worked with us but since we went through a booking company online they were not going to do anything and they didn't. We requested a room with we beds cause we had w children with us, the room was so small and the beds so closed together I could not get my walker between the 2 beds or between the bed and the wall or in the closed off section in the bathroom where the commode was at, it was very inappropriate and unappreciated, if I had not asked for it at booking or called the hotel to confirm it after booking I could understand but because I didn't book directly with them is not right. The phone in our room did not work, tried calling the front desk for towels but we had no dial tone, phone would not do anything, I reported it but it still wasn't working when we checked out. There were black, long, skinny bugs all around where the indoor pool was and in our room the day before we left, I killed 2 bugs in our room prior to seeing the black bugs, I reported the bugs also, the guy at the desk asked if it was lady bugs, he thought those were ok. Not a good experience.

The property was recently renovated and it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and professional. They have cute little balconies off the rooms as well.

The room was disgusting by far. The linens were smelly and there were bugs on the floor. My son left our cell phone and we tried over 7 hours to call them and then we go back and no one can call a manager for a laundry room key. They were so unwilling to help my Life360 literally showed this phone was sitting here and we drove 200 miles to get back to this location. The pool was closed. The linens were not even clean. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

This is a very good low-budget hotel. My kids loved the water slide. My only real complaint is the lack of drawers. There’s a weird, useless console table that could easily be replaced with a chest of drawers! Please do that. I’ve stayed at The Walden twice and I will think twice about coming again because the lack of space to put things was very frustrating. Everything had to be opened up and left on the floor. There wasn’t even a suitcase stand. But everything was clean and staff was kind and helpful. I don’t take those things for granted. Breakfast was standard hotel buffet fare. My kids were happy there were waffle makers.

This was our second time staying at Walden. The staff is extremely friendly. We needed an extra blanket and an extra towels which was provided at the time of asking with a smile. Kudos to the manager I can't seem to remember his name but he is amazing. I really liked and appreciated that if somebody had an anniversary or birthday they had a paper posted on the front door. Such a small but meaningful thing to make the customers feel appreciated and special. Breakfast is adequate. Among the better hotel breakfast we've had. At 7 am breakfast was fully stocked and hot. They had ham, bacon, and sausage the day that we were stayed which I appreciated. The pool and hot tub area is nice and well kept. There is a patio area with plenty of seating and a fire pit that sits outside of the pool area. The rooms are clean and well kept. Everything was in working order. I personally like the shower products. They smelled nice and the quality is much better than your typical hotel. I also enjoyed how the hotel is in the center of the action but also sits far enough away from the main road to not be super noisy. If you want a good bang for your buck then this hotel won't disappoint. :) Thank you Walden for making out second stay there wonderful. We will be back!
