Amenities, room such as availability of telephone in room on arrival, no detergent yo wash dishes or a fish cloth, Airconditioning ( noisy and not very cool)
When calling drivers for tourists to take day trips ensure knowledge of drivers. Our driver had no idea, and we were following the map and he missed places when we showed him where we wanted to go.
Costing in Australian dollars on Expedia was not final cost $49 charge aud for using credit card and $200 extra charged on Visa card. Inability to pay Expedia direct and therefore paying at hotel means daily rates apparently change which changes total cost and then conversion increased cost.

The hotel staff are really the highlight of this property; everyone was very kind and helpful to us. The service was above and beyond. Special shout out to the Concierge team, including Miky, who made sure we had fun plans when ours fell through, and Bob and Frank at the pool.

The restaurant at the hotel has good food for when you don't want to go outside, or just wanted to relax after a day of adventure.

There are free kayak for guests to use, the pool is nice. We'll be happily return to Ramada for our future returns to Vanuatu.

We experienced overall a very pleasant stay in a nice location with very helpful staff throughout. Some small maintenance items such as the pool area need attention to keep up the Resorts superior standard. Be sure you are allocated a room in the blocks along the lagoon not in the rear block up higher which is not very easy to access the pool or restaurant plus it has an inferior view. Blocks three to seven would be best away from the noise of the bar. The quality and price of the meals was on par with Melbourne but expect to wait a minimum of 30 minutes from ordering to receiving your meal. Thanks to the ever smiling staff.

Front desk is a joke. No one welcomed us or helped us with our bags upon checking in. Nothing was explained about the resort as well. The resort was not busy at all yet service was always slow or none existent. Shower room constantly smelt like sewage. Asked for buggy rides to the top of the resort a few times and they never came: Always ended up walking.

When we arrived, the receptionist was already outside waiting for us.
The property is slightly aged, but very neat & clean. Our 2BR did not have a spec of dust and the air-con was already on when we walked in, which was nice.
The pool area was nice with chairs / umbrellas.
My kids & husband went kayaking, but the sea was choppy, so they came back quickly.
We swam in the sea and saw lots of sea cucumbers, NOTE bring aqua shoes as the beach is very rocky and sharp for little feet.
A-la-carte breakfast was great, my kids loved the pancakes & bacon, and I had the acai bowl or massive brekkie burger.
Location wise, it's not walking distance to anything, will need to catch the bus for VT150 each way, to the supermarket or into town. There's a convenience store across the road, but a bit pricey.
Overall a nice stay.

Loved this resort! So remote but next to town which was great! The only way to transport to town was taxi and everything here is pricey but the resort itself was beautiful. We really didn’t need to see the other beaches because the beach there was just as beautiful. Really quiet, the gym was ok but the pool was barely used. Some staff were really nice and welcoming and some were just normal.

Great hotel especially for families and those wanting to option to be able to store their own food and drinks as it has a small kitchen. Beds are comfortable and bedding is lovely. Pull out sofa for child was quite hard but did the trick. Food at the restaurant was good (we recommend the steak!) Before we went we researched that tipping was not standard however we had a few uncomfortable exchanges with bar staff expecting a tip (we're happy to tip for great service however service at times at the bar was not amazing. There was one man in particular who working at he bar who was so lovely! We went to another hotel after and there was absolutely no expectation to tip and they even retuned change after we said not to worry about it.Beach/pool towels are scarce so i would recommend to bring your own if you can fit in your luggage. The comments about the hotel being on a cliff are valid but buggies are available and also the walk up/down isn't too bad. Also there is a small convenience store very close and a longer walk to a large supermarket (Which is amazing) and a bit further along is the markets. Overall a great hotel and would recommend and I would stay again.

I would not recommend, we were given a room next to a permanent star who had children that were loud and thumping, clearly left alone whilst the staff was working, I knew it was someone permanent as there were potted plants on their balcony. The room was ok, water stains on ceiling were acceptable considering they had a cyclone. No lift to the room only stairs that had no lighting (dangerous when we had to leave early morning carrying our luggage down 3 flights of wet stairs whilst it was drizzling. It was not the $300/night lagoon view we were expecting. Staff at dinner were utterly non existent, we got our main and they never came back, we ordered the lobster with butter lemon caper sauce and crispy potatoes which was actually a small overcooked lobster with some butter, a slice of lime on a bed of fries… it was definitely not worth the cost! I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone.

This extended also to the staff who were friendly, efficient land inclusive. Big shout out to Bob the pool attendant who was so good. As a gay couple we felt respected and included which was great. All these issues have spoiled our holidays and it was very misleading advertising by Hotel.com. Lovely overnighter that needs more bang for buck

The size of the junior suite was a lovely surprise. Really roomy and comfortable, having a kitchenette was very handy and the bed was amazingly comfortable.

Our water stopped working for an hour just before check-out, right when we were hoping to shower and freshen up before our international flight, and we needed maintenance to come out and get our TV going.

I expected a few more ‘expensive resort inclusions’ such as complimentary bottles of water and more towels. An online menu for the Sportsbar would also be good. The room service menu wasn’t very inspiring.

We stayed 5 nights and have to say the standard of service was well below par. For 4 of those nights we walked past the same dirty room service plates which would have been walked past every day by several staff. I'm sure the rats had a good feed on the scraps. Not sure if that's the branding message the Ramada wants! We tried to book in at 4.30pm after prior notice of our arrival time (again letting the hotel know of our expected arrival time) only to wait 30 minutes before our room was ready and check in time started at 2pm!!!. Feel like we were ripped off by 3 hours and were not offered any compensation or even simply a cold drink. We were harassed 4 times to check out on the wrong day because of a split booking made by the property which we told them about when we checked in. The last attempt by staff to evict us from our paid room was directed to my cousin who was extremely unwell trying to rest in our paid room to which the staff wanted her to walk uphill 500 metres to the hotel reception to settle the account even though we weren't meant to be checking out. We also had to ask 4 times for the beds to be made up as singles despite email confirmation before trip that this would be done. Finally at 9pm this was done. Some might say first world problems and I agree but if you pay for a 5 star experience (and boy did we pay) this was well below our expectations. I suggest Wyndham sorts this type of service out as its not on brand and in no way rewarding to your customers.

Loved the location! Great to have free use of the paddleboards and kayaks. Was a little disappointed with the cocktails. Some bar staff were excellent and cocktails were as expected , some missed chocolate syrup and honey around inside of glass as an example for toblerones. Not a cheap cocktail so wanting it to be as described.

The resort generally is very nice, friendly staff, nice location. We selected the resort because it could provide a king bed - this turned out to be two singles pushed together which meant we should have just gone with a queen (rather than sleeping on two single beds). Wifi is amazingly bad, though typical of the island. Pool bar was never open, despite signs saying otherwise. Would I stay again? Would definitely look closely at all options first

All in all, a great place.

Really pleased that I chose this accommodation, originally booked for 5 nights, but stayed an additional 4. Our self contained Junior Suite was neat, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful, lovely lagoon and also the pool and its surrounds. Many activities available, went kayaking down the lagoon to Erakor island which was fun. I thought the location of the Ramada was also very good, secluded yet just a quick inexpensive bus ride, or 30 minute walk to town. Grocery stores and restaurants also within a 10-15 minute walk. The staff were just fantastic, willing to help and always friendly, service with a smile! Emily and Junie in the Sports Bar and Bob by the pool deserve a shout out. I think the Ramada Resort Port Villa would suit young to old, with buggies always available to take people between reception and their rooms if desired. Wifi was usually fine and if I had a problem reception fixed it. There is someone at reception is 24 hours a day. If I visit Port Vila again, this is definitely where I’ll stay.

Spent 5 days there had no tv and no wifi for most of it bathroom had an open shower that looked great but covered the whole floor in water which made the bathroom like a slip and slide. The food was very average breakfast was just the same food re heated in the baymarie every morning. Dinner at night was hit and miss with a lot of things in the menue not available. The couple we stayed with organised a bayby sitter for a night it was advertised for around $20 hr on there website but when they checked out got charged around $50hr.
Overall a dissapointing stay.

Beautiful hotel with small disappointments

This is a great resort about 25 minute walk from the heart of town. Some positives are: great pool with lounge chairs. Free kayaks to use (which you absolutely should, as you can see starfish and more through the crystal clear water), and good service. Unfortunately a few things hindered the stay. First there are about 10 rooms with absolutely no view whatsoever, if you get one of these rooms so matter at a discounted rate or not, what you pay is not worth it, and you should stay somewhere else. Second starting at 2:30 the sun dips below the building and there is no longer any tanning by the pool, not the worst thing ever, but if you were imagining lazy poolside afternoons in the sun you will be disappointed. Finally, the brunch buffet runs until 10:30 but goes empty at about 9:45. Perhaps it was just the busy season but either you had to get there early or not at all.

Overall it’s a well appointed room, and beautiful resort, but taking into account the above depending on the room and what you are looking for, you may be better off somewhere else.

The only thing was the price of dinner and drinks was a little too high for us to enjoy as often as we’d have liked. We loved our stay at Ramada!! The staff were wonderful, especially the concierge Renata, who always went over and above. It was generally great value for money, with lots of extra inclusions. The only downside I found in terms of value was that the kids’ meals were quite expensive. As the rooms have good kitchen facilities, this was easy to overcome. The facilities were clean and modern and our room was serviced regularly. The resort could benefit from purchasing more pool towels and snorkelling equipment - it wasn’t overly busy during our stay however these items ran out every morning and guests began stockpiling. However, this is a fairly minor inconvenience and the only constructive feedback I could find from our fantastic experience!

The room and the location were lovely. Easy walking distance to get to the center of town and restaurants. Nice pool looking out over the lagoon. However, there were many things about the service which were disappointing. When we arrived at 3pm we asked about the towels and were told they were on their way. The following morning when we went to the pool still no towels - we were told because the laundry was closed on a Sunday. Eventually we got them at 12pm the following day so 21 hours to get a towel. Turned out the Sunday excuse was was just a lie as it happened every single day with a queue of people hovering around until gone midday just to get a towel to sit by the pool in 30 degree heat. I feel sorry for the poor pool guy who gets hassle every morning yet the management don’t just get more towels or make proper arrangements for them to be available when people need them. Half of the parasols don’t work despite the hotel being new. Unfortunately one of the assistant managers seems to have no management skills whatsoever. He just shrugged when we told him about the towels and he laughed at another couple when they asked him. He is rude to the waiting staff in front of guests. One of the waitresses even had to apologise on his behalf for the way he spoke to people. The majority of the staff are lovely, especially Renata the concierge who is so helpful in arranging tours and activities and Alex the pool guy - but the assistant manager and his bad attitude let’s people down.

Fantastic, reasonably small and compact resort. Within a 10 minute walk of supermarkets and a short bus trip to town. Property is located on the side of a hill and offers great views of the lagoon. However, this also means it is steep in parts. Typically not a problem as buggies are on call to transport guests between reception (top) and the bar/restaurant/pool areas (bottom). Thoroughly recommend.

Great new alternative on the Lagoon in Port Vila

Brand new property, big comfortable rooms, great service. Close to town so not great surroundings but on the Lagoon so pool and beachside lovely.

Beautiful location

Great rooms and views.
The food and drinks were well priced and tasty.
No food service available late night. Seems a real pity as a lot of guests leave for the airport for the Sydney flight at 4:30am. Be nice to get coffe and toast at least.

Beautiful outlook over the Lagoon

Beautiful view to look at from the rooms. friendly staff always smiling. You have to remember this is a 1st world hotel in a very poor place so the service was not perfect, The staff have a very relaxed way about them reflecting the overall pace of the country I don't know if I would like to change it and lose the charm and feel of a beautiful people. Our bus drivers Elli and James were fantastic running us all over the island. The activities at the resort were fun and changed every day.

Best place in Port Vila

Great place to stay away from right down town Port Vila, but still close enough. Very focused on giving tourists a good time, with different entertainment on each night while you eat dinner. Internet extremely fast for the business traveller as well.

Great place to stay

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location, relaxing atmosphere. Be only careful with bus and taxi in front of hotel to make sure to get the right price! They are a bit cheeky :-)
Also wouldn't hurt to get the access road a bit fixed up. rough and not enough light.
Also worth mentioning is the excellent thai massage you can get there.

Reception staff are rude and lacking people skills. Charging a daily resort fee and ecco fee on top of the normal rates without notice . The staff down in the actual resort are lovely and nothing was a bother. Wi fi is a joke, but the resort itself is beautiful with everything you could wish for. Just a shame your last impression when leaving is of rude and ignorant reception staff.

not actually managed by Ramada....

...and it shows. it's the little things......not having tea and coffee replenished, until you leave a note requesting. Not having hand towels replenished...we decided to see how long it was before they realised.......they didn't ! Managing to use up 1gb of internet in less than 24hours....despite the fact between us we have used between 900mg and 1.4gb PER MONTH for the last 2 years ...the staff couldnt tell us what we'd used it up on, nor wanted to follow our reasoning......in the end it was easier to pay 2000vaht for us to have unlimited internet for the next 5 days !

Excellent Staff, nothing was a problem. Restaurant right on lagoon & sports bar was enjoyable with happy hour cocktails & tapas before our dinner. Our main course in the restaurant was superb. Breakfast was nice and the omelette was the best I’ve had. Enjoyed my stay.

Disappointing - would not stay here again

Would not recommend this resort. Beautiful views from our room and in a good location but that’s it.

The food from the restaurant was inedible, the cleaning staff left our room door open all day while we were out sightseeing, luckily nothing was stolen. Had to keep getting maintenance to fix our tv and some things were broken in our room like the bathroom tap. For a recently built resort a lot of maintenance seems to be required.

There were dogs that barked all through the night so we couldn’t sleep and upon departure we were told our airport transfer was paid for and the driver arranged by Ramada was trying to make us pay, then I check my credit card which had extra charges taken by the resort.
