Rooms were in poor condition, needs renovating badly or tear down start again. Fixtures were from the 80s, bed seemed past its used by date, the only saving grace was the location and restaurant / bar attached. Price was affordable and i guess thats reflected in the quality of the room.

Mindful I`m an Ex-Maryboroughite having done all my schooling there & I`ve been keen on Hervey since my childhood when it`s population was less tan 2,000. As a change of venue we were experiencing the hotel accommodation for the 1st time & found we couldn`t improve it in any way. It`s a real pity that the locals & holidaymakers don`t use your lovely dining room for an excellent coffee outlet.
Being so close to the beach enabled my wife to go for both morning & late afternoon strolls beachside- very enjoyable.

We will be returning as we normally visit the Bay at least twice annually. Lovely, thanks.

This motel felt like a dorm or low security prison. Very old & tried, but surprisingly enough the bed was very comfortable. Lack of power plugs near the desk as well, which is inconvenient.

While I found the room ok and the staff very helpful and friendly I had a problem with the shower over a plunge bath. I have osteo in one leg and was afraid of falling without a non slip mat or a railing to hold onto. Thank you

We loved the location of this hotel! 5minute walk to the Wetside Waterpark was a big draw card for my young daughter and I. We also loved shell collecting walks on the beach across the road - and it is a handy 10minute walk to the RSL which we went to a birthday party on the Saturday night. All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. The food is nice at the bistro next door and seems popular on the weekly special nights with the locals too. My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about how much fun she had on all the amazing playgrounds around the Bay and it was just so nice to be able to come back and relax in the afternoons at a clean and comfortable place - my daughter even braved a quick chilly dip in the hotel pool a couple of times. We will definitely be back to stay again and even our friends that live in the Bay whom we were visiting, said they now know where they’ll be recommending to people to stay also :)

The bed was so uncomfortable and so were the pillows. There was a duvet on the bed but no blanket or doona (and it is winter) so it was cold. The rooms were very tired and quite dirty. I saw a staff member on check in and that was easy and quick and they have food and a pool, and the location is good.

The pub is attached the hotel was 10 out of 10... the view was nice from out room. The location was fantastic.
Overall it was a good stay.
The hotel does need a a upgrade to a more modern look to make it feel more clean.

I didn't like the shower. I think it's dangerous to step over a bath into a shower and particularly dodgy when you have a serious bad back like I do because there us nothing to hold onto to step into the bath and you don't feel very secure doing that. Luckily I have an understanding husband who helps me in and out of these situations

The hotel is old and needs a lot of up keep. Bed was supposed to be a queen but it was a double. Beds as we could not sleep together were not comfortable and you could here the other the other people and TV’s in the other rooms. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Bed was the worst ever encountered. Water noise from other rooms was disturbing. Toilet didn't flush properly. Wifi meant to be available but not usable. First time I've seen notices warning of additional charges if we used the extra bed in the room. Pool was passable. In summary, very over-priced for age and quality of amenities.

The room was very old but clean and tidy with very few facilities. The noise factor from next door toilets and shower was extreme along with the air conditioner noise.
Would be good if the street number (249) could be shown out front as there is a different name on the motel etc.

Very tired and outdated. We were only given 3 pillows for our stay. When we requested an extra pillow, we were told we couldn’t have any more. Bed looked as if it would be close to ten years old, very worn and with a torn base. Hair was clogging up the bathroom basin. Not a pleasant stay. Shower head sprayed everywhere but into the bath.

I booked this Hotel as a stop over during a 10 hr drive. As a female travelling alone, I felt unsafe to stay and opted to leave and finish my drive that night instead. The man at reception mentioned something about the doors not locking automatically and gave me directions about how to lock it by pressing the button. However the button would not click in when I tried it. Trying the door from the outside, it did appear to lock automatically so I was confused by his statement and directions about how to lock it and in the end I didn't feel I could be positive I had locked it properly. The room opened out directly into a carpark where various older male pub patrons saw me come and go and would ask me about where I was going when I would leave the room. The door also only had the one (questionable) lock, no chain latch and no peephole so if anyone did knock I'd have felt quite unsafe to answer as I would have had to fully open the door to see who it was. I didnt even ask for a refund I just made the decision to leave as I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. All in all I would say this hotel was adequate if you are staying with others but if you are alone and security and privacy is a concern I would not recommend it as I felt quite uneasy.

Motel is old and outdated. A major revamp and renovation would be wonderful, given the superb location. Beds are terrible. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bistro served tasty food at a very reasonable price. We would stay again largely due to the price.

Mirror dirty, no grabrails in shower bath, shower curtain very grubby. Only nimimum og tea and coffer. Hiwever the bed was ckean and comfortable. Whole facility needs to be overhauled. Sign on single bed saying If you haven't paid for this bed extra charges . Mu husband has a sleep machine and this requires one of us to use separate beds.

Conveniently located for us opposite the caravan park where our friends were staying and walking distance to the shopping areas and RSL Club.

Let’s start with tv and all stations did not work, 70 year old carpet that made the room stink of 70 years of weare and tare not a happy or enjoyable representation of any hospitality customer service. Shower head that was so built up with grime and calcium it only had a steam of water on the outer holes of showe head. Meals and food where well value for price.

Position is the only thing going for this hotel

We were very disappointed with our experience here. The whole place needs a massive reno from reception through to rooms including bed linen. The bed was dippy, the carpet was thread bare in places. The old air conditioner struggled through the hot night due to gaps around the doors and the ceiling fan sounded like a helicopter hovering over our bed all night. The ceiling out near the ancient old lift was water damaged with large patches of mould everywhere.
I could go on but what's the point........ we arrived on a Sunday with very early check out on Monday so there were no staff around to discuss our massive disappointments with.

Got greeted with a closed office desk with a sign to pick up a phone, it rang told them my name response was I will be there when I can. Rooms really need to be upgraded especially the bathroom. If you don't watch where the tap to switch from shower over to bath is you can burn yourself not good.

I cannot believe that this place can be rated RESORT ??????? The bottom of the cabinets were all falling to pieces, the bottom of fridge door was rusty and even the toilet roll holder was all rusty. I have stayed in 3 star accommodation through Europe and Asia and they were palaces compared to this dump.

My self I found with the hotel being a old hotel a few more detail touched would be perfect like rolling the towels on bed, roll the face washers into a roll that looks like a envelope folding the toilet roll into a triangle just little things like that are great detail touches for a old hotel, and windows where quite dirty so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the view much

Not the cleanest hotel..the carpet are discoloured and stained.the paint on the walls is in poor condition.. The kettle supplied must of been made in the 70's and the plastic is crumbling and powercord has exposed wires...the hairdryer smokes when you turn it on..the guy who I assume is running the place is rude to customers and other staff..while I was ordering a drink he was yelling at the poor girl serving me I didn't say anything because I thought if I did I would end up getting kicked out from the guy with the bad attitude...it was $80 for the night..very cheap..but still not really worth $80.. Half star
