Just a beautiful place to be

The room was in average condition was clean enough but the shower glass and some tiles had mould and the cabinets were showing a lot of wear. Being a top level it was almost impossible to sleep in the bedrooms as they have fans, but as the concrete roof absorbs the heat from the outside roof area, the fans just keeps blowing hot air all night. The ceilings are very hot even with all the windows open. Had to sleep in the lounge area(has AC) till around 3 in the morning before it cooled down enough in the bedrooms. Wouldnt stay in a top.floor unit again unless there was AC in the bedrooms. Would be perfect in the winter months but not in summer.

The room was in extremely poor condition and not clean. Curtains were mouldy & broken, roller blind was fraying, window was locked shut & unable to be opened, fan in bedroom did not circulate air, thick layer of dust in the laundry, outdoor furniture was broken. Carpet was dirty and stained, walls were dirty. Maintenance never returned to unlock window with key when asked. Kitchen was not well equipped with crockery for a 3 bedroom unit.
Unable to exit the complex without a key which is surely a safety issue.

We stayed during a heat wave with the bedroom ceiling tapping continuously which was tortuous all might. There was aircon in the lounge room but it would not reach the bedroom. We arrived early Friday and we were allowed in early which was much appreciated but the reception closed at 5 pm and didn't open very much over the weekend so we endured a pretty uncomfortable weekend. Reception staff were helpful.

The property is a little out dated but the location is excellent. You need to go grocery shopping and stock up the fridge and pantry with your essential items as eating out for every meal will cost you an arm and a leg. Don’t expect room service as these are units that you lease. We had the corner room overlooking the marina and the beach. Great spot to go swimming, fishing and all the tours and activities are walkable distance. The pool was lovely and a favourite of the kids. I personally enjoyed the fishing off the rocks in front of the marina and the locals are all extremely friendly and happy to have a chat.

Overall very good value for money. One problem with parking when an entitled person who was visiting took my spot. The person she was visiting entertained a lot - late at night. Didn’t enjoy listening to her loud opinions. I think I was just unlucky with that. Break free was great and staff bent over backwards to support me. I would happily stay there again. Absolutely stunning sea view from our apartment. Very clean and tidy but very, very tired. Really needs to be repainted and bought up to date. No settee in the living room just individual wooden Ikea chairs. I loke to sit next to my partner not 3 foot away from him. Glass in the shower had glass cancer and a hole in the door thst had been filled in and the bottom of the bathroom door was falling apart. Apart from that, the apartment was situated in a great place, close to the marina complex. Was quiet and tidy.

The property has an excellent location near the beach and the docks where most of the whale watching tours begin. The property is oldrr but our flat wss well renovated and had great views but being next to the boats was occasionally a little noisy. The property management was helpful, but the main issue seems to be housekeeping. In a nineteen day stay we had two cleans. They also seemed to not refill certain things. As a sufferer of dust mite allergies, I found the flat too dirty.

Very disappointed that there was no Wifi available as we were not informed when booking - we could have made other arrangements or not booked at all if we had known in advance. Not sure there is any other similar accommodation in Australia which does not have wifi so a shock! Did learn to use our mobiles as a hot spot so some sort of positive learning.

We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was on the ground floor facing the beach, about 50 metres from the pool. The view from our unit was to die for. Waking up and jumping in the ocean or pool was such a luxury. The location was amazing - walking distance to everything we wanted - aquarium, markets, boat club and a quick drive to the botanical gardens and waterpark. We’ve already decided we’ll be back annually and we want the same unit! The spa bath was also beautiful, and second toilet was convenient.
Only downfall was no wi-fi, although not a huge issue as we were having too much fun during the day. It would just be nice to watch a movie at night. Phone reception was poor, so hotspotting was not an option.

We started in room 169. This room should be condemned, it had mould, it smelled, the carpet was old and dirty, and the furniture looked like it had gone through a flood. The whole unit was old and in need of a refurbishment. We complained and were immediately moved to a suite, unit 130. Much better, but to think this room leases for $504 per night is so overpriced. I would not pay more than $150 per night to stay at this complex.

There was no aircon upstairs in the master bedroom, thank goodness for the sea breeze! It was disappointing that there was no wifi for guests. The lagoon pool was a let down as it's out the back near the carpark, however, the lap pool was great. There is no games room, so don't be fooled by the picture on wotif. The room just had books in it.

This property is inhabited by what looks like a mix of permanent/semi permanent resident retirees on the one hand and tourists on the other. We found it a mixed experience: the apartment was not very comfortable with cheap furniture and fittings throughout and truly awful fluro lighting.
Incredibly, there is NO wifi. In this day and age??? Compounding this problem is that the 4g signal was barely there. So no Netflix streaming etc on your device.
There was a DVD player with some unwatchable, dated dvds. But the remote didn't work!
The 'kitchen' was very poor - basic, with one hotplate.
The mattress was cheap but ok but the blankets supplied were woefully inadequate.
Lastly, I had plugged in my Tesla electric car into the 10 amp socket on the back wall of our allocated car space to simply maintain the basic functionality of the car, but someone in their wisdom decided to switch off the outlet for some inexplicable reason. Not a good feeling to have your vehicle interfered with by, presumably, a resident trying to save electricity or a groundperson for reasons I can't begin to understand.
On the positive side, the location is excellent for whale watching trips and there was a view of the ocean and beach access.

The resort is run down and in dire need of maintenance. Basic things like guttering missing from the building, filthy/smelly carpet in the stairwell that doesn’t look like its ever been cleaned, a tennis court covered in debris, bushes/trees and closed indefinitely. The resort website and brochure mentions a children’s playground but there isn’t one - only a patch of dirt under a shade sale. The games room is actually a dusty second hand book library with a toilet, sink, old lounge chairs and a very very old ping pong table with no equipment. The sauna looks like it hasn’t been used in over a decade. Half of the boardwalk by the marina is closed off. The room was a bit better with great views and renovated within last 5 years or so, but there was hair on the ensuite vanity and a spare blanket in the cupcoard was absolutely filthy - covered in hair, stains and particles. We couldn’t use it. The nearby marina and restsurants were what saved this place for us. We would not stay here again until major inprovements and basic maintenance is made. Was not worth the $.

Nice position and close to boat harbour, walking distance to bus stop and pier. Bike paths outside the complex. 3 bed family unit was good in size. Beds were not comfortable. Worst I've ever encountered travelling Australia and the world. Cleanliness was average with previous guests belongings under a bed. Hair in the bathtub. Individually owned units, owners obviously don't fix broken items. Garage light broken and needs replacing. Screen door to beachside screeching during use, needs new rollers. Locks loose on sliding glass door.Light bulbs were missing in bedroom lamp and light not working in courtyard to garage. 1 TV remote batteries flat. Maintenance people were quick to sort those issues that they could when notified. Microwave screeching when starting to heat. Ensuite shower screen not functioning properly and needs replacing. Very uncomfortable stay for seniors. Staff and reception were great.
