Very nice spacious apartment well looked after. Large kitchen some small appliances could do with an update due to age but all worked and served us ok. Close to boat harbour club, where we had nice dinner within easy walking distance. Main shopping area is a short drive. Pretty little town.

Hotel was amazing, the view was spectacular!!
The room itself though had a few items that needed fixing like the sliding door to the main room was broken, the sliding door to the lounge was extremely difficult to slide and the ensuite was very rough and had broken splatter rail and tiles throughout tho none of this spoilt the stay it would just be nice of the owners fixed this as they are renting a penthouse so it needs to be penthouse standard.

We were there for my son's wedding and loved the property. Lots of room and lovely. only part was carrying all our luggage down 4 flights of stairs as we left on the flood bound Sunday. Had to get our cars out of garage as it was filling up fast.
Really enjoyed our stay even with the weather on the Sunday.

The Apartment was in a good location directly opposite the Boat Club where you could have meals or drinks. A lot of Tours left from this area as well. It was a great apartment, three bedroom with ensuite and a large deck with concertina doors. The living area was huge, a great place to stay. It does need a little maintenance mainly painting but we could see that the deck ceiling was recently replaced with new LED lights, not painted yet. So I assume they are trying to paint it and upgrade the lighting soon. We would definitely stay there again, good position, nice pool, great room.

The Akama Resort is a high quality apartment resort. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean, with all you would need for a great family stay. The location is perfect for whale watching trips as it is only a 5 minute walk to Hervey Bay marina. There are several good quality restaurants and bars nearby.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit, the unit was spacious and comfortable located on the 2nd floor. We had a view of the pool area. Staff are lovely! Excellent area easy walking distance to Whale Bay center and The Boat Club.
Would definitely recommend.

The apartment was very spacious and had a well stocked kitchen utensils. Good view of the ocean and well lit with folding doors on the balcony.
The blinds were bit out dated and didn't block light coming in the bedroom in early hours of the morning. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the pool and spa.

We stayed in the deluxe penthouse suite. It was spacious and had everything we needed for a self contained stay. The view from the huge balcony was fantastic. The only downside we experienced was the carpark, if you have large car (like a landcruiser) you might not fit between the columns in the basement carpark.

Second time we have stayed here, traffic can be quiet noisy at certain times, appartments are very roomy, pillows need replacing beds are very comfy, reasonably clean throughout, not sure what the bad smell was on the ground floor but hopefully it was temporary.

We loved the size of the apartment! So big. Everything was new and lots of facilities. Big balcony overlooking the pool was beautiful. Main bedrom was super spacious. Awesome storage for longer stays. Extra touch was fresh herbs being available from reception, freshly cut from their garden.

I didn't like, that the ducted aircon was default set on a 6 hour timer, very hot in rooms once it turned off, having to reset at 1 or 2 am was very inconvenient
Traffic noise was very loud when out on the balcony.
The apartment was very roomy and comfortable, beds were super comfy.

The hotel advertised a heated pool. The pool was absolutely freezing! Kids wouldn’t even go in the pool and it was the end of September. We found lolly wrappers under the bed. The main part of the esplanade wasn’t within walking distance (for a young family) and most restaurants closed super early, 8pm at the latest, some even 1pm. Rooms were modern and spacious with a nice view.

A lovely two days in urangan

As a couple we found the unit to be very comfortable and well located. Like most places it’s not brand new but pretty good really. We thought that the price was probably a little high for what it is but really we were very comfortable and enjoyed the location.
We went to the Asian restaurant one night and it was terrific.
Next night we joined friends at balaeno restaurant at the marina and highly recommend that too./
Yes we would go back again but would look next door for comparable pricing.
The pool was great. Parking free and easy. The bed very comfortable.

We only stayed one night, that being said we really enjoyed our stay.
Friendly staff, easy check in, very spacious and everything is available.

We walked in and the air con was on and everything was clean.
We had our own little court yard type area which was lovely.

This property was disppointing for the price. No staff to check you in on time, left waiting, phone not answered. Disgusting smell in superior penthouse something dead. Carpark right beside the very smelly bins. Broken spa. Blinds and lights in unit broken. Very poor management. Go elsewhere.

Everything good. I booked 2 rooms, nearly 6 months prior, and would have thought we would get rooms on a higher floor but only got bottom floors. The resort Initially only had 1 of our rooms until I showed them a confirmation email from them with the 2 rooms booked. Fortunately they had a spare room (I think this is why we got rooms on ground floor, instead of the requested high floor). The staff were lovely and did apologise.

However the penthouse was scruffy. Dirty walls in need of a paint. Carpet threadbare. Mould in showers. Decore devoid of character.

We stayed in a Penthouse apartment with180 degree views of the water. Was beautifully appointed and fitted with everything you could need to cook up a storm. Balcony had a large BBQ which was ideal for dinner one night. Great time with professional hosts and wonderful facilities only a short drive or solid walk to the main town centre.

Size of the apartments were amazing! So spacious, some of the fixtures getting a bit dated and hard to operate - eg. blinds. The car parking is a real issue, having a big car the parks were tiny and when another big car was parked next to us we couldn’t both open our car doors, we ended up parking outside half the time which was less convenient.

In true honesty there were things lacking that made it feel old and worn down. And if these were changed would have made it feel 4 star living.

• Chairs outside on the deck were rusting.
• master room blinds had lots of mould growing on them.
• master bathroom had lots of mould in the grout.
• and the the double bed in the other room was very uncomfortable. It is converted but I wouldn’t suggest to do this. They felt old and sagged in the middle. Needing an update.

Will say everything else is wonderful. Staff were really friendly n SUPER helpful. And very informative. And the space is very open and big and great for a family of 4 or above. We had the poolside room and it was awesome. Just to be able to pop to the pool with in seconds. If your looking for a relaxed open space in Harvey bay this is for you.

Very easy check in and helpful staff. 2 bed apartment was larger than expected. Very good condition and well designed unit. Easy access with complimentary luggage trollies and elevators. Lovely pool and BBQ area. Only improvement would be to ensure under the lounge was vacuumed and the roller blinds in bedroom were cleaned. But that is being picky. Loved our stay and will be back.

We had a ground floor pool entrance two bed apartment for me and two kids, I have to say the place was cavernous.. I think it was as large as my house! Fixtures and fittings for fantastic, like a show home. I was very impressed with it. Super clean and really well appointed.
The managers were super friendly & helpful, very knowledgeable of the area and happy to answer any questions, even down to restaurant reviews & activity options for kids.
Place had a massive, very clean, safe pool which was a hit with the kids also.
I dont think there was anything I didn't like really, if i had to pick the only down was no restaurant in house but the hotel right next door did breakfast really cheap & really nice so I didn't care at all, no drawback really.
Planning on holidaying in Hervey again so we will be back at the hotel again for sure, probably requesting the same room to.
