It was all good, all the staff people are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located (near Angel de la Independencia monument), and it is very convenient to commute from there to anywhere you'd like to go (convenience stores, cafés, taco places, restaurants, bars, etc.). There is no AC, but there is a fan in the rooms. The price is good for the amenities and the service you get + if you don't want to get ripped off by big Hotel chains, this is one of the best options in the area.

They advertized that the hotel was 3 minute walk from the US Embasy, but they don't mention that it is from the OLD Embasy, NOT the new Embasy location which is actually about 25 minutes away from the Hotel... also, their restaurant is staffed with only one waiter and one cook. Most of all no air conditioner.

It's a cheat hotel, so I didn't expect luxury. I am okay with old furniture and por decoration, but I am not okay with the musty smell in the bathroom. The sheets were also stained.
The hotel is at a convenient location, but I don't think I would stay again.

Very close to the Angel de la Independencia& right in the heart of the city. I found the area safe, walkable & enjoyable. There is a decent breakfast available, but the hours listed are incorrect so go early! The room can be a bit hot during the summer months. No parking, but plenty of taxis.There is a hotel with a similar name on the same block, so be aware of that. Overall, good for a budget traveler like me.

The best feature of this hotel was the location.
We had stayed 8 years ago and liked it then.
But this time we had a terrible experience.
We stayed at 304 and my mother in law got bed bugs. Walls are thin, we could clearly hear other people businesses.
The staff is not the nicest like it used to be.
The Hotel shows decay that is not being addressed.
I’m struggling to write this review since I really loved this Hotel before.
We will not stay here ever again. Not recommended.

I didn't like i make a reservation 1 week before and when i get there they send to a different hotel and then later they brought me back to the hotel so the explanation was they overbooked the hitel and they have no room for me there then that say they found a room with 2 bed not 1 bed not familiar with the area so didn't know what to do

Terrible option. They don't have parking, and there's no place to park nearby. External parking lots charge by the hour, and if my stay is for 3 days, why should I pay so much for parking? The rooms are very small, and the staff's service is average at best. Definitely not an option if you have a car.

The hotel is a nice central location. The staff is overall nice. Price is ok (you get what you pay for).

Cons:
-The staff is very slow with the check-in process. I asked if I can print one paper but they refused which was weird. They do not know any English which also made communication harder than it should.
-The area around can be very noisy. You can sleep if you are used to have some noise around but it can be annoying especially that there is a band at the nearby restaurant that plays music till around midnight.
-The towels appear as if they have been used for a long time.
-Cleaning can be better. Some rooms have old dry stains.

Overall, good for a 1-2 quick stay

Nobody was at the front desk for a check-in for several minutes even after the doorman called someone. The room had a broken safety lock box and no hair dryer. Location is quite noisy as there's plenty of restaurants around. It's cheap, but you get what you paid for. I'd look for another alternative next time.

Terrible experience. At around 2:30 am, a loud noise woke me up. When I went to the door to find out what was going on, there was up to one inch of water on the floor. The night before it rained but not as much as to creat all that mess. I found out they are doing some renovations and somehow they did not cover the area. They also told me that the loud explosion was from some pipes that burst. I had to wake up early for my flight back home and could not sleep. It wasn't untill 2 hours before my check out that they offered to move me to another room. Their attitude towards this situation was of some indifference. No apologies or nothing.
Second, sometimes after returning to my room, I could not open the door. The lady at the front desk told me that EVERY TIME I go out, the key (card) has to be reprogrammed. Never heard of that before.
The TV did not work.
And last, there is not air conditioner nor heating. It was too hot for me, even with the opened small window and the noisy fan.

Check in was a night mare. I renewed my room for a second night. I checked the night before (Feb. 8) to make sure I could stay in same room.
Then at about 7 am I checked again with a different desk person. Both could speak English. While I was gone for the day, they packed all my stuff in a bag. I had to make a hugh deal of it, and after about 1.5 hours I, personally, found my stuff in a storage room.
I would like a credit or refund for this terrible mistake on the part of the hotel. I have an early morning flight and got next to no sleep. I was given a different unacceptable room so had to move again. No apology. I had to threaten to make a police report about my missing items.

Del Ángel is a bare bones hotel. You will get the essentials and that’s it. A lot of things don’t work or don’t work well. The key cards, the room safe, for example. If you want more than two towels, you must ask. And the WiFi is hit and miss. I’ve stayed there many times, but only when I can get a very good rate. Nice staff and great area.

I think staying at a hostel would be better than staying at angel reforma. They had no towles had to ask the front desk. Linnen is dingy looks like bed sheets have been around for years instead of bien white they are dingy brown. No ac no heat . The only plus to the hotel is that its located in the center of things venders where awesome.

Me hospede en el hotel del angel porque tenia mi cita en la Embajda Americana, mi estancia en el hotel fue pesima, llegue a mi habitación, queria darme un baño y no habia toallas en la habitación, baje a solicitar unas y me dijeron que enseguida me las mandarian a mi cuarto, paso media hora y tuve que bajar de nuevo a solicitarlas y el de la recepción me dijo ten toma estas llevatelas, la tele por cable sin señal.
Me meti a bañar al dia siguiente y oh sorpresa, no habia agua caliente.
No se puede descansar en el hotel ya que toda la noches el sonido de las ambulancias, patrullas y el trafico en general hace pesada la noche.
Hay mejores opciones por el precio que manejan.

La ubicación es inigualable, tan solo sales y ya tienes muchísimas opciones de comida, café y entretenimiento, además de tener el ángel a dos minutos, la zona de reforma es muy bonita y segura para caminar de día y de noche, precio sumamente económico, en realidad no puedes pedir más. Los chicos de la recepción fueron muy amables, la habitación estaba limpia, la cama muy cómoda a mi parecer, la televisión no tiene muchos canales pero si vas a turistear no es necesaria, el único detalle es que el baño olía un poco a humedad pero fuera de eso todo excelente.

Nuestra habitación estaba sucia , al entrar encontramos muchas latas de cerveza , parece que solo tienden la cama y “limpian” por encima. Es muy ruidosa toda la música de los bares de enfrente se escuchan hasta las 2am , no la recomiendo las llaves no sirven tardas como media hora en abrir tu puerta. Busquen algo mejor por la zona aunque paguen un poco más.

This hotel is a basic, no frills, very affordable option in one of the best neighborhoods (for visitors) in Mexico City. The staff are competent and friendly. The 11th floor restaurant offers an affordable breakfast for about $5 U.S. with bottomless coffee. I live in the Reforma area (near the Angel). Hotel Del Angel is my go-to recommendation for visitors on a budget.

Hotel room is OK. A bit simple but great location. Asked for extra towel as there is no towel mat for the bathroom. They did not provide it even though I asked twice. The following day I called again and they told me they will provide 2 towels but I need to give them the previous two. Looks like people steal their towels. I just needed extra for the floor so I don't slip on what can be a slippery bathroom floor. Disapointed with reception service.

This property is in a great location, just steps from Reforma Av.
Staff is very accommodating, hard workers trying to solve issues all day.
The Bad:
amenities are very basic, no AC in rooms, request rooms on the back side, the ones facing Lerma Street, will have you listening to loud music all night on weekends.
Staff did move us after we requested it...

La habitación es útil para dormir y listo, pagas por lo que obtienes. Te puedes bañar y está limpio el baño, hay papel de baño, hay jabón, hay shampoo. No tiene plancha en la habitación, hay que pedirla y se tarda unos 15 minutos en traerla.
el lavamanos está normal, tiene espejo y está limpio. NO tiene aire acondicionado ni calefacción, está aceptable.
