Service at this hotel was extremely disappointing and did not meet five-star expectations. The concierge and front desk were unresponsive and lacked follow-through, from ticket requests to basic room needs. While apologies were offered, no real solutions were provided.

The cleaning staff were excellent, but overall there are far better hotels in this category in Mexico City.

Staff was courteous. Breakfast had many options, although high-end fruits such as mango, passion fruits were not provided. There was no juice/smoothy station and no omelette station, although servers could bring items upon request. Toaster was old-styled with difficulty to retrieve bread.

Some room amenities were dated. For instance, curtain needs to be pulled (not automated), bed-side lamps are outdated with hard switches. Bathroom and toilet doors hinder the access to wash basin.

Location of hotel is at a crowded crossing and downstairs cafe was exorbitantly expensive. Restaurants didn't have a dress code and some customers showed up for breakfast in filthy outfits. Overall, hotel is exorbitantly priced for the service we received.

For the price we paid, we expected better service and attention, however it was inconsistent. We were 3 women. Gentlemen at the front door and our butlers were all excellent and this feedback is not reflective of them, but front desk and housekeeping needed to be more attentive. First off, front desk staff (Alejandro) asked for extra adult charge per night, which we had already paid and I had to email proof of it. Next, our butler Mario (who was excellent) accompanied us to our room and it was one 1 king bed vs 2 queens we paid for. Mario quickly got that fixed, however by then we already started on wrong footing. Next, everything in room was in 2s (robes, glasses, hair mask, etc) and we had to request 3rd of each item. Housekeeping left 2 treats every night, well- intentioned but again lacking attention that we were 3. On the weekend, it got very noisy as it’s beside a very busy intersection and beside a building with active construction and noise cancellation was not that great. Very cheap quality iron, steamer and hair dryer, that we struggled to use everytime. Bit dated property, drains were stinking from room showers to public use toilets. No turndown service, unless requested. Again, attention to detail lacking for the price point they are at.

Few things they did get right - everyone was polite and professional throughout. Umbrella service was a very nice touch! Champagne ceremony was also a very nice touch.

While we initially encountered an issue with our room, Alejandro, the front desk manager, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing less than perfect. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly made our visit special and memorable.

Our butler, Alfredo, was exceptional—attentive, warm, and always anticipating our needs. At the pool, a delightful attendant frequently checked in with us, making sure everything was, as he put it, “perfect”—and it truly was. Every aspect of our stay, from the flawless room service to the exquisite cocktails at the King Cole Bar and the indulgent spa treatments, was impeccable.

The service at The St. Regis Mexico City ranks among the best we’ve experienced anywhere in the world. Every staff member we encountered exemplified excellence, making us feel genuinely valued. We loved our stay at St. Regis. The attention to service was a wonderful aspect of our stay that made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was thorough and was a great way to start the day. This is a beautiful hotel with a warm and helpful staff. We had a room with 2 beds and a sitting area. It was clean and well appointed. The maid service and turndown service was excellent.
The hotel is in a busy street area and lots of drivers honk their horns. We ended up getting used to the street sounds, but if you are sensitive to noise you may want to ask for a room not overlooking the street.
The breakfast buffet area was lovely. It overlooked the trees. There were many food items available.
The gym was on one of the higher floors and had a beautiful view of the city.
We ate in several of the restaurants in the hotel and they were great.
I would definitely stay here again.

The room was wonderful, but it was really the service at this hotel that was next-level. Our butler Brenda took care of every little detail. For example, after requesting ice a couple nights in a row, ice started appearing before we even got back to our room for the evening. We’re not fancy people, but it was so lovely to have someone thinking about our needs before we did.
The concierge desk was also amazing and set us up with an excellent private tour of Teotihuacán. Ask for Juan Manuel for your tour guide. He is so friendly and SO knowledgeable. I’m a history professor and he has the knowledge base of graduate student. He knew the myth, he knew the history, he knew the significance of both. He had someone show us where the pigments for the stucco paintings came from, and he talked about the environmental consequences of using those pigments. It was an incredible tour!
We only had one problem, which is that our reservation was supposed to include free breakfast but Expedia did not communicate that to the hotel. We got it straightened out for a couple of meals but were still charged for a couple. Breakfast wasn’t overwhelmingly expensive, and it was very good, but I still would have preferred to save that money and put it towards the tip for all the excellent service we received.

Staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was above and beyond expectations. Personal Butler Brenda provided a very thoughtful and kind welcome. Martin, Ulises, and Roberto in the Diana Restaurant were all excellent waiting on me like a rockstar. Chef Tirado even came out to the table and served me, and my guest, customized gelatin spreads he created on his own to surprise us after we asked for something not on the menu. I felt like the common denominator from ALL the staff we dealt with from the doorman to the spa employees was to make everything perfect in a personalized and effortless way. One of the head guys, Ivan, included me in the champagne ritual and asked for feedback, specifically. We told him everything was excellent and if we could only bring one observation to his attention was the bathroom in the room 1209 where we stayed had grungy grout and the silicone to finish the tile seams were needing attention in the bathroom. After making the comment I also realized the wallpaper disrepair was not in-line with the overall tip top shape of the property. The plumbing on the third floor Men’s restroom (near the front desk) where the toilet pipes meet the wall in 2 of the 3 toilets was also not all the way installed properly although they functioned.

Business / leisure trip. Considered best hotel in CDMX. Hard to fault. Quiet due to covid. Room service excellent but pricey. Covid lockdown made dining elsewhere not possible. Gym / pool closed due to covid.
Only slightly annoying aspect was closet space a bit skimpy and too shallow to put luggage. More storage space would help. Also more English channels for those of us at preschool level espanol !

We arrived at 5pm our check in was supposed to be at 3pm but our flight was delayed so wher we arrived all we wanted to do was get our room and rest, but at check in I was informed that our rooms wher not going to be ready until 8pm.
It was until the person that was attending me, saw that I was very upset and went to get the manager, the manager apologized for the inconvenience and offered us to go to one of the restaurants and order what ever we wanted complimentary. Arriving at a ST. regis hotel knowing your rooms won’t be ready till 8pm is not something you would expect.
