Room was clean, mosquitos were in there but i dont know if thats out of their control. Staff is amazing. Make sure you book your tours with the lady thats next to the front desk!
And the pools is amazing! Huge, clean and beautiful!

We stayed 5 nights in the pool access room in Nov 2025. The emerald pool was quiet and private. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast had great options and on excursion days, the kitchen made us to-go breakfast boxes. The location was really good and it is off the main road is much quieter. All in all, a good stay.

This property has seen better days. As many reviews suggest, the furniture is extremely old, there is mold and cracks everywhere, and in certain areas, a sewage smell. The emerald pool was wonderful, it’s a very quiet hotel off the main road, and staff is great. They only allow one guest room card which can be frustrating but the staff was nice enough to have someone open the door when one of us didn’t have the room card. The gym has never been wiped down before and the breakfast is the absolute worst breakfast I have ever seen. The fruits were laid out and not super fresh, there were a variety of cereals and then the yogurt which was served in a giant blob in huge dishes without a covering, breads and pastries were all the kind that taste look yoga mats, and there was one omelet station but the toppings were sorry looking (dried bacon, onion, cheese, and some tomatoes).

This hotel has a great location that provides some quiet time and relaxation away from the busy main strip of shops and restaurants. Everything you need is on your doorstep.
It’s a short walk, around 5 mins to the beach.
The hotel pool is a good size and has a swim up bar.
Wan, Nina and the team in Reception provided an excellent service, helping with questions and booking trips and transfers.
Breakfast including very tasty Thai dishes as well as a wide range of other options. The restaurant staff were really helpful and friendly.
The deluxe room is a good size and the shower was really powerful, great after a long day out.
We had room 403 which had a balcony nicely secluded by trees.
The condition of the hotel is good, there were some signs of wear snd tear in our room, eg the seal to the shower door didn’t work, but this didn’t bother us.
Cleaning was of a high standard.
We really enjoyed our stay and would come again as it offered value for money.

Overall our stay was good but could have been better!
Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy and atmosphere is very nice, very resort vibe.
Options at breakfast are very limited, you don’t seem to find variety of options. Room furniture is very old, not like what you see in the pictures!!
We had very inconvenient experience with massage. We booked a couple massage for 6 pm, it was 6:25 and therapists did not show up yet. They told us to wait longer but we did not and cancel. Two days later they came to our room and said they did not have the therapist available and they expected us to wait longer. They brought fruits to our room which was a nice gesture but they took a picture with us as a proof that we were happy with our stay which I found it a bit weird. We felt like staff are not nice and welcoming.

This was an amazing place to stay, rooms are very clean, service was exceptional! Breakfast has so many choices and every morning there was a Thai food selection and selection as well, very yummy food! Staff were all friendly and very helpful! My husband and I came for a business and enjoyed some personal time too! The atmosphere and surroundings are so beautiful and serene!

Stayed for 7 days in Oct 2024. Staff was great, pool was wonderful, breakfast buffet was good, and close to beaches/shopping. But there was mold in the shower area; shower head holder was broken (was told it would be fixed, but it wasn't); sink did not drain well; sheets were only changed when we insisted; bottom of \"sofa\" cushion was stained (so it was placed up side down); sliding door frame gaped between part of the glass and the frame; sliding door curtain could hardly be moved from side to side, etc. Thus my description of \"poor maintenance.\"

We read good reviews about this place, but unfortunately, the day we arrived the city had an electricity shortage, so no energy until 5:30 pm. The weather in Krabi is insanely humid and hot, so we were melting. When we entered the room the smell was moldy, super hot and so noisy because we had a pool view like most of the rooms. With too many kids, we could not get any rest even with the windows closed. On the way to the room, we saw that the place was not clean at all, with a tray with dirty plates outside of the room. And the bed in our room had a stain, overall this is an old construction but not well maintained. If you are traveling to have some rest, this is not the place at all, this is family-oriented which is annoying for someone looking to have some peace.
Also, breakfast is very average, they have options but not a good taste, food is very oily and fatty.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Walking distance to shops and small restaurants. It is also away from the louder more busier side of town. There is a 7-11 close by. The tour lady was helpful in helping me book my tours. Had some unruly neighbors but I didnt let that ruin my vacation and stay. I would book again.

Very nice resort. Front desk staff are wonderful. We had trouble with calling and they could not find our reservation. Took some time and they found it. I think it was a language barrier.
Food at breakfast lovely and restaurant is very good. We are there a few times.
Location is excellent walkable to beach and downtown area. Would recommend again.

I am absolutely disgusted with my reservation here. We booked a 3 bedroom apt to be given 2 sep rooms-with young children. The door between the rooms would not open properly and my son got insured as the door swung back at him. Management are diabolical. Can’t and won’t help. Had to move rooms to be given a 2 bedroom apt. Food is mediocre. Bugs on salad at breakfast. Staff don’t listen when you order - 3 times I was given completely the wrong item, I don’t know why we kept going back. Pool bar prices are astronomical. Air conditioning leaks / floods on the floors, every day we saw maids mopping various rooms. I’ve been trying to complain through Expedia for the last few weeks and the hotel are not getting back to Expedia. Or perhaps Expedia are every bit as rubbish as this hotel. Ridiculous. I would NOT recommend this hotel. I also paid for a 3 bedroom apt and was given a 2 bedroom, and at the moment, no reimbursement.

Wonderful hospitality, the staff were great. The superior room with a garden view was spacious, with a good sized bathroom and basic amenities. Loved the pool and pool bar. Location was off the main street so it’s nice and quiet, and there’s a nice food market just five minutes walk from the resort.

Bad service with an attitude

The staff did not care about customer service and incompetent. We booked an airport transfer which never arrived. We were denied gold member privileges. Our family booked a 3 bedroom suite in which we were issued two keys and denied extra keys without a deposit.

At no time did the manager or assistant manager apologize bur instead responded in a passive aggressive attitude with a fake smile.

The facilities were adequate but all services including room service stops at 7pm.

Our 2nd time staying here. Didn’t know they hv a new wing now which does not hv view! Previously 5yrs ago only 1 building n all rooms facing pool.now the water in the toilet smells of bleach! So we smelled of bleach as well! Breakfast was v poor. None taste good even omelette is not gd. Only french toast n fruits are nice. Limited selection. Gym equipments are not working! Only location is good. Near beach n hawker centre.

Nice hotel. Great location. Quick walk to the beach and local shopping. The place to book excursions and taxis is literally behind the hotel, so that was super convenient. From desk service was helpful and accommodating. My main complaints have to do with the room. Shower head was broken, and since our shower isn’t fully enclosed, like the upgraded rooms, water went all over the place. The beds were a little too hard for my taste, too. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect location; close to amenities and beach, yet quiet. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were personable and went out of their way to ensure our holiday was wonderful and relaxed. We worried about nothing. Saree and Pun are well organised and friendly while the junior staff, Num, Tommy, Zoll and Noona were just lovely and made great friends with our 8 year old who still talks about them and misses them. The pools areas are clean and well laid out. The room was always clean and fresh. The bed was super comfortable. The food was basic but well prepared and served. We honestly could not fault anything about our 12 night stay. For a moderate sized resort it was super friendly.

Nice hotel quite close to Noppharat Thara beach

Stayed in the Deluxe Premier room which is rather basic. Simple hotel with simple breakfast. Would recommend it because it’s quite near to Noppharat Thara beach that’s really nice during low tide! It’s like a 5mins walk to a 7-11 which is really convenient :) Very near to Kodam kitchen which is probably the best Thai meal I ever had! As I was there on a weekend, the hotel provided shuttle to the night market at a small cost which is great!

Arrived in the room to stained bedding, brownish coloured pillowcases that should have looked white and mouldy pillow. Don’t expect to sleep in more than 0630 as constant doors slamming, they should warn customers to close doors (like any decent person would do) and not slam them as others may be sleeping. Walls paper thin so you can hear conversations. 2 nights of people partying in their rooms which kept us awake until they were told to turn the music down. Steel work, cutting, drilling work around the pool so not peaceful. Poor choice for breakfast unless you want curry at 0700. Pool bar staff brilliant. Room to change in before our long journey back just about adequate, clean but hot and through the cleaners cupboard. Asked for smoking room, got non smoking although it was to have one on the balcony. Very strict check in time even though the hotel was half empty. Would not stay here again.

Just left Krabi and La Playa Resort. Overall it was good, no big complaints. If you’re getting a good rate than feel satisfied to book here. Location is good in that it’s near the main shops and close to the beach. The pool was nice too. We had just a standard room with three beds for three adults. The beds were very hard and not super comfortable in my opinion but my traveling counterpart said the bed was fine so matter of preference. The restaurant and food generally is not great. The breakfast ughhh. It could be that I had pretty high expectations though just coming from Chiang Mai where the food was amazing everywhere you ate. Not so much in Ao Nang where the hotel is located. The food was pretty bad equally everywhere. We just arrived today in Patong so hoping the food options get much better.

Complaining aside, I’d like to give a big shout out to my gal at the tour desk. She was awesome and super friendly. She was basically the only person on staff that spoke English so I used her for everything, including booking all my tours and travel. Great lady. By the way, best tour ever was Krabi Sunset Cruises. We had a blast.

This hotel is a Canadian 3.5 star. It was good.

Great staff working on a building site!

Quite an uphill walk from seafront and down a dark lane. We were disappointed that 2 pools, reception and bars were being renovated when only warned that 1 pool was out of action when booking. Poor choice for breakfast and breakfast room needed more regular cleaning. Staff very welcoming and helpful through the difficulty of building works. Bar closed too early. There is no beach at Krabi - you have to get a boat ride.

It's not a 4 stars ,

Pros: staff very friendly, breakfast buffet was delicious.

Cons: too noisy, mosquitoes inside the rooms without having to open the windows, no body wash/gel they never resolved that problem, Not enough pillows, only one pillow, the shower room did not have a door!! The amenities seemed old not taken care of, overall I would give it a 2.9 rating.

Pros: close to shopping areas, restaurants, food places, tour information, transportation, ATM machines as well as money exchange kiosks. The breakfast buffet was amazing, the bed was very confortable, very clean rooms, with enough things. Friendly staff(sometimes).
Cons: wifi was terribly slow, had to log in all the time, when asked staff for soap because it ran out, we were never given it, the tv never turned on, laundry, put The clothes on the basket they never picked it up and we were told to let them
Know 24 hours in advance, so that was a huge inconvenience. Also bring repellent because you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes even inside the room when checking out we had to wait over an hour outside the lobby and it is not a closed area, it is humid and bunch of mosquitoes, we needed to wait for our transportation to the Airport. Also at nights, there was some beeping noise coming from the upper floors, that was very annoying i had to check outside to see what that was, some alarm of some sort.

Room was dirty upon arrival,bathroom full of hair . I saw the manager and she sent someone to clean, it was left the same.I made my bed practically everyday ,their services was discussing ,the bed look like they never made it. . Didn't replace tea or coffee . I think they are careless about the cleanliness of the rooms.
Other than that the food for breakfast was excellent .

Good hotel, bad service. None of the staff speak decent English, my stay was good but was spoiled during check out when I wasn't allowed to bring one of the 'complimentary' water bottles with me? Also, because check out took them so long, the hotel driver I ordered lectured me on being 5 minutes late. If you don't care much about service the hotel is pretty good.

We stayed here around 8-9 months ago. It was excellent. This trip we notice that hotel wifi was not strong n most of the time not working. Swimming pool used to have water falling from elephants mounts , now no more. Pool was too deep at 1.4 m. Should have some part lower for short people. So they can enjoyed. Our room 207 has shower glass door half missing, only one side table beside bed. All the hotels we stayed had small side table at both side. Look like hotel have No money so cutting cornor. This is our 4th time stay here n our last time.

location of this hotel is in possibly the best part of Ao Nang! Great pools, and grounds....almost no reason to leave resort! Transportation to and from airport on shuttle is easy and cheap to find. I booked my day trips from lobby with pick up and drop off at front door! My rooms....second time at resort....modern with big bathrooms, with excellent air conditioning. Nice place to take midday siesta! I really did enjoy this resort!

Check in and check our was very quick, staff response to our request for extra toilet paper and room service was quick as well! There is a tourist counter at lobby which we bought transport to and from krabi town night market at 200thb per person. Quite worth the money if you want to save the hassle of catching a songthaw or save money on taxi. Breakfast was not bad for the price, with egg station and enough clean seats around, by the poolside.

Not sure how this is a 4* rated hotel you basically pay for the location. If you don't know the area then it can be difficult actually finding the hotel because it's not sign posted. The breakfast was ok and the double bed was just 2 beds put together, the mattress also a bit hard. Lastly, the aircon was terrible.

Otherwise, location perfect, 7/11 just outside aswell as street food. Either side of 2 beaches. Pool very nice.

Nice pools and swim-up bar. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good with a reasonable variety. TukTuk service is about 100 meters away. The staff brought us a delicious cake for my birthday, definitely a nice touch. Ao Nang has an alright beach, but a short Longtail boat ride to Railay Bay brings you to much nicer beaches with clear water and great kayaking around the limestone cliffs. Overall very pleased with our stay!

Quiet area a block from the main road. Large rooms, large beds, large bathroom with shower and bathtub. Three clean swimming pools. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was ok but we have had better - all white bread, margarine not butter I think, same two fruits every day. WiFi in the room was disappointingly weak and random for 2017.

My partner and I got the superior room which was not much more than a standard room. The room was luxurious and modern, bathroom was incredible along with a spacious room. Only down fall was the bed being firm! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, along with a fine selection of pools (3!!). The hotel massage service is average, I had better from locale advertising on the street. I will definitely return to this hotel in future.

Convenient big pool area close to beach

First we were in a room that had a real musty/mouldy smell but as soon as I posted a review we were upgraded to a pool view room with softer beds and no smell. Good location. Quiet. Nice large pool. Smiling staff Wifi is poor but that is pretty common I would return

Walking distance to anywhere

This hotel is hidden away in a alley street. Its my 3rd time to Krabi and I didnt realise this road leads into a big hotel. There are no signs to show the entrance of the hotel so you could miss it. The road is just a small road with barely two cars enough to pass. during daytime, there are cars parked at the side so only one car could pass through at a time. Parking is also barely enough for 10 cars. During the weekend, a tour bus parked in the middle and blocked a few lots.
GOOD-
Received Premier rooms facing partly to the Turquoise pool. Nice view. Balcony is huge. Room is huge. Bed is two super single merged to become one huge King sized bed. Unfortunately the quilt is about king/queen sized and is smaller than the bed itself. I asked for extra blankets and they gave a ratty quilt.
TV has international channels with cable. Room is relatively clean. WiFi is good enough. But we came to some issue with room cleaning on the second day. Somehow they skipped our rooms even with the sign to make up room was put out. Finally they cleaned up our room at 6pm.
There are two main pools. The Turquoise which is the main one by the dining cafe, and the Emerald pool which is at the new wing. We swam a lot at the Emerald pool as its more secluded and quiet. it is a little smaller than the other pool. Water was warm most of the day.
If you thinking getting pool access rooms, do not get the ones at the new wing. The main wing has a bigger private access for you separate from the main pool

The only complain is electric city keep cutting off.
I think over loaded.
One of the night at middle of the night around 3 am light go off for quite a Long time. Have to suffer in the room no light n no Aircorn . They have not fix this problem . We stayed 3 time here n same light off problem. Don't understand why they not fixing this?

Excellent hotel and great location...We really enjoyed our stay in krabi la playa. Everything ws nice about this hotel. Swimming pool ws too big and neat, room ws also big, breakfast was soooo yummy, staffs are very friendly and great location (near to the aonang beach)...Ms Van(tourist guide) gave us the best deals on islands tour n elephant trekking..She is the best...

Great hotel! Amazing friendly helpful staff. Lovely pool, with plenty of loungers with cushions. Rooms large, bright and clean. Nice variety at breakfast. Plenty of options (western and Asian). The best part was the staff!

Great but with terrible reception experience

Although there were lots of staff at reception, they were ineffective. At night when I had to leave the hotel there was no one there to help me, and although I had previously booked one with them, it didn't come. The hotel itself is good though. The rooms are beautiful and good value for money.

Good spacious rooms and great buffet breakfast

I had a great stay at Krabi La Playa Resorts. The resort is about 300 mts away from the beach although entry to the beach is about 800 mts from the resort. There is 7 11 store just near the resort. Lots of shopping can be done in the market on the main road. The resort is not on the main road but 80 mts inside. Its walking distance. Breakfast spread was very nice. The staff understood English language and also helped in talking to the 4 island tour vendor who got delayed in arriving at the resort. I had a overall nice stay. Room was very rich and spacious.

Hidden little Gem

The resort is based down a very unassuming road which initially set off alarm bells but when we did eventually find it we were greeted by a beautifully open air lobby surrounded by lush green foliage with a lovely tranquil feel - staff were very courteous and just as welcoming.
The standard double room was a great size with 2 kings size beds placed beside one another creating a mother of a bed. The decor contemporary with a thai twist and well equipped with additional extras such as a basket with 2 towels for the beach and umbrellas. The toiletries were better than most hotels so much so I ended up buying the shower set. The balcony has a slightly obscured view of the pool but a very pleasant view overall.
All excursions can be booked via the whole through a lovely girl called Fatihma- Island excursions are breathtaking!
Breakfast was somewhat short in variety in comparison with other hotels but still provides something for everyone.

Personal negatives:We should have been shown our room first before being shown alternative rooms within the resort, felt like we had a fair run around when already exhausted.
Had a few issues with wifi & poor connection with the computers in lobby.
Slippers looked new but those along with the flip flops were used which is not acceptable.
I had requested to buy products such as the Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Lotion and NOT the shower gel which cost 450 TB but unfortunately when arriving back home noticed I received the shower gel instea

Romantic Getaway

Me and my wife stayed in Krabi La Playa for 3 nights on January 8-12 at the recommendation of a colleague. We booked a Deluxe, sea-view free. The room was spacious and very hoomie. The tv is a bit too small for such size of a room. My wife loved the buffet especially the drilled seafood. We would recommend this hotel to our friends too.

Great but annoying construction noise

We had a swim up room which was amazing. It was clean & the food was decent. The location you can walk everywhere but it was a little tricky to find as its situated down an alley. (Not a sketchy alley). I only wish we had been warned about the construction that was happening, it was extremely loud & from about 8am for the entire day all you could hear was construction noise, so that was a bit disappointing.

Mixes experience

They put me in Small Hotel instead of La Playa. Did not provide any compensation for th inconvenience and requested me to sign indemnity letter.

Wi fi was slow.

Only the staff and location makes a difference. The staff were helpful to make restaurant reservation and transport arrangement. There are minimarts and street food 5mins from the hotel.

My sister's credit card was misappropriated after the trip. Hence, they need to step up the security on this aspect.
