I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms and facilities were very clean and modern, which made it feel comfortable and well looked after. The location is excellent — very close to shops and all the amenities you might need, making it really convenient for getting around and picking up essentials. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with any questions. I would definitely consider staying here again

Nice place if noisy due to to being in centre of town. Work was being done at the entrance so there was lots of drilling noise which wasn’t great. There seemed to be no staff in charge around the pool. Guests were taking glass bottles in the water and using the life rings. The property is open to the public with no restrictions on where they can go so security could have been better. Breakfast decent. No daily cleaning - only bed making and towel change. No mini bar top ups. Great location however. Small changes could make this a great hotel.

Blue Tara provided a fantastic base for our Krabi adventure. The hotel itself is a beautiful oasis, with a lovely pool and well-maintained rooms. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

What truly sets Blue Tara apart is its convenient location. We were within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines, and the stunning Ao Nang Beach was just a short stroll away.

Reception staff worked hard to give us a room before check-in time, which was appreciated. Buffet breakfast has many options and is well managed. Our room was fine, but could use better lighting - some ceiling fixtures didn’t work and the bedside lighting was very dim.

I really liked this property on the northern half of Ao Nang... the neighborhood is relatively low-key, compared to south Ao Nang, but within easy walking distance of the livelier area. The hotel was very comfortable, built around the pool, so as far as I could tell, all rooms had balconies overlooking the pool. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to my friends. The staff were great, sweet and very helpful.

Great location close to the main entertainment area and restaurants. Close to both Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara Beach. The breakfast offered and pool area were good (even if the pool bar was closed). Unfortunately the internet cafe was non existent and the Wi-Fi was very sporadic. The hotel needs a bit of TLC as areas were a bit untidy (maybe a Covid times hangover)

Love the direct access to the pool room, friendly & accommodating staffs, halal restaurants, Ao Nang Night Market & the beach are within walking distance (may not be so near for some people). The main souvenir shops along the Ao Nang beach are not near to the hotel. May need to take the Tuk Tuk to go there.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Staff were always very friendly and polite. My room was very well cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels. ( the linen and towels could be upgraded)
The bed and pillows are very comfortable. A Major plus ! Great shower and a bath not that I used the bath. Pool was great and always clean.
Good aircon to cool things down.
I never ate at the hotel restaurant. As there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area from street food to some very classy establishment.

Overall good stay for the week (7days). But it was a rainy season so there were power trip for quite a bit during our stay. The water supply from the tap was also dirty on the first day (as seen in the picture). Hopefully this will be better next year, as I’ve been to this hotel for 2 consecutive year and 4 times to Krabi already. This hotel is really convenient and good that’s why I’ve been there for 2 years. Would love to go back when all these are better.

Comfortable beds.
Close to both Krabi beaches and markets.
Good restaurants near by. The food at the hotel restaurant is also great.
Fast Wifi.
Polite and prompt service from hotel staff.
Swimming pool. Open till 7pm.
They provide bikes for rent for 24hrs for around 200THB.
Spa service.
Many decent professional Thai massage parlours nearby.

Cons:
Swimming pool open only till 7pm.

Overall, absolutely lovely hotel to stay in.

Not a new hotel at all. Fragile and broken things around the room. Many stains around the room too. Was given a room with balcony facing wires and to make it worst there are trash all over the floor. TV was blurry, safebox user guide is incorrect. Breakfast is cold and almost tasteless. Many other things to be listed... overall just a bad choice of hotel to stay at. Won’t return and will never recommend to family or friends. With that price, I believe I could’ve booked some other better resort/hotels in a better location with nicer facilities.

This hotel is on one of the best side streets in Ao Nang. Great restaurants, tour stands,massage and even a street market at the top of the street. The hotel facilities are nice and clean + staff is friendly. Downsides -the room walls are extremely thin...you can hear everything next door- it’s like you are in the room with them. Also the internet WiFi is terrible. I had to go outside of the hotel to use the internet such as the restaurants surrounding. Overall such a good value especially with the delicious buffet breakfast.

Back in Thailand with my girlfriend, this time was for a whole month. We stayed here in Krabi for a week.

Out of the entire trip, Buri Tara was the best.

Room
-Very clean, plastic water bottles are provided daily so you can actually bring them out, many other hotels use the glass bottles which makes you don't want to carry it out since it is much heavier.
-There is shower and a bathtub, time is critical when on vacation, so when you and your partner both needs to shower this is the best. You don't have to wait till each other finish showering.
-Two sinks, just like the showers, you save time getting ready having two sinks.
-TV, the TV had many channels but remembering channel 30 something is the only one with English movies 24/7
-Safe was actually quite difficult to use, it is quite complicated so make sure to read the instruction or even ask the staff to show you.
-Balcony was quite small for us, we never stayed out there because the fear of mosquitoes. We only used it to hang our wet clothes.
-Strong AC, fridge works fine, light switch are right next to the bed so you don't have to get up to turn all the lights off individually.

Service
-Friendly staff, amazing service, they will come to your room to fix whatever issues you have within 10minutes.
-Always provide clean towels
-New bottle of shampoo and body wash everyday even if you haven't used it up yet.

Really nice hotel. Lovely room. Great air con, balcony overlooking the pool, bathroom clean and spacious. The hotel staff are really helpful and nothing is too much effort for them.
I though breakfast was a bit expensive and I would recommend buying the breakfast when you book the room as it is cheaper.
This hotel is a short walk from the beach and a slightly longer walk to the 'strip' where there are plenty of restaurants and shops.
I've been to much nicer beaches, but it is clean and usable and the sea was great.

One night Only EUR 30 , SGD 43 with breakfast and high speed (10mb) free wifi, I think is a very reasonable price . Some people in tripadvisor take a photo and said the furniture was broken , old style, the corner having dust ......... You Are Not Buying House . And need to think how much you paid for , here is Thailand not Singapore / Paris . If need super high quality, please go to Marriott, Hilton ........

good hotel, friendly staff, all speak english and were helpful with local knowledge. we had some patrons using the pool outside hours and being noisy which the hotel was incapable of correcting. (pool hours 10am-7pm) not a big problem but for westerners from english speaking countries it is annoying. kids were allowed unsupervised in the pool at 9pm and some patrons were swimming at 7am from their balcony pool access room. the yelling and screaming resonates up and is amplified by walls and buildings around the pool. not a bit deal for most. we didn;t like it and left the room on both occasions.

Its okay for the price but would recommend somewhere else. Pool area was nice.The location is pretty good, near long tail boats, a few places to eat and some street food. About a 10 minutes tuk tuk ride down to Ao Nang Beach.

Great experience. Counter staff were very friendly and we were greeted every time we walk past.

Booked our day tours with the hotel every day before the tour. Spent 4 nights there. On the second day, the lady that helped us to checked in could remember our room number. Whenever we booked the tour she no longer ask for our room numbers. When we returned from the tour, upon seeing us, she instructed another staff to retrieve our room keys.

Very pleased with the staff.

Resort was situated in between 2 beaches. Just 10 mins walk to both beaches. Eateries, restaurants and bars are just around the area.

Good things-welcomed with a drink, room was changed upon request and let us use the pool after check-out.
Bad things-first morning was a nightmare as my partner wanted to throw up because of the strong foul smell coming from outside,(maybe it was from hotel kitchen, even though my partner is a non-vegetarian-
) he couldn't sleep after 5.30am, he couldn't eat the entire day, his chest was blocked. Next, there was no milk powder for tea/coffee. Hotel staff told they don't provide milk powder and we have to come down and buy the regular milk from the hotel restaurant.On returning in the room, found cockroaches and ants inside the unwashed tea cups. ants were moving in the room and in the washroom also. The hotel deceives the guest by placing two water bottles in the fridge (paid) and two outside (free). Both the sets of bottles are different. Why? Because at the end they claim that you have consumed the bottles which were inside the fridge, I argued that they can keep the bottles that were free.Hotel staff was very rude and argued that no if you have used the bottles inside the fridge then you have to pay, no matter if in return you didn't use the free bottles. They claimed we had consumed 15 small water bottles in 4 days. but to finish the argument my partner paid them 100 baht as the bill for paid water bottles. In short, I wouldn't recommend this property. Also it's a little far from the main beach area.

This is a great hotel in close proximity to either side of the main beach. Close to the Longtail boats when you want to go to other beaches.

Plenty of street food stalls and nicer restaurants.

My room was quiet and super comfortable.

I definitely will keep the Tara Buri on my list if places to stay in Ao Nang.

Lovely Small Hotel in a Great Location

Stayed in Buri Tara for 12 nights. Hotel is only small but nice. Room is nice, even though a little tired and may need some redecorating. Room has a fridge with 2 free bottles of water a day and tea/coffee etc. Pool is nice and doesn't get very busy until late afternoon. Restaurant good and you get 10% off your food purchases. You must try the fruit shakes, they are to die for! Staff very nice and helpful. Hotel is in a very good location, away from the heart of the noise but still very close to walk to all restaurants and bars. Green Pepper restaurant opposite is very good for food and Blue Mango restaurant few minutes walk is also very good. Family Mart just across the road. Booked our trips through reception and they give you a discount price. All in all very good hotel and cheap price.

The hotel provide motorcycle for rent.
I manage to check in early.
Taxi to this hotel cost 600 baht. good for 4 person who travel together. Bus cost 150 baht.
Not noisy. Just nice.

Con:
Quite far from Krabi Town. Well, there is nothing much in Krabi Town except for the night market on Friday, Saturday and Sunday anyway.

Tips:
If you are planning to go island hopping, search for those who provide buffet lunch. More worth it since you are paying more or less similar price. Mine was 1100 baht per person to Phiphi Island.(Mine was Sea Travel I think.Provide halal and vegetarian food.)

Incredibly friendly and cheerful staff, helpful whenever help was sought. Everything in the room worked perfectly, though the airconditioning temperature was difficult to pinpoint. Originally booked 2 nights, wound up staying 6.

It's not on the beach but located about as close to it as it's possible to get in Ao Nang, and mere minutes' walk from boats to Railay Beach or the island, as well as to convenience stores, restaurants and the main shopping street. Free wifi is limited to the lobby; wifi in rooms are charged. The 5l bottles of water are marked \"sale\" but more expensive than the at the FamilyMart or 7Eleven a short walk away.

This hotel was close to the beaches. As soon as you walk in the lobby you are greeted with a smile and a fruit drink. They are very friendly and helpful. They bring your bag up and show you your room. Room is spacious and clean. They have scooters for rent in front. Walking distance to shops and restaurants . Good movie channels on TV. Highly recommend Buri Tara resort.

Four nights in Krabi.

For the price we paid this was a very good hotel. When we first arrived about 7 in the evening it was dark and the room did smell a bit damp, we were on the first floor. But I think it was because the room had been unoccupied for a while and maybe the air conditioning had not been on, but by the next day and with our own smells and perfume it was like home. Don't know about Breakfast because we didn't eat it at the hotel, I always find it's cheaper and fresher out side. The girls on reception are very sweet. I stayed with my two children and husband in two rooms.

OK... But mybe next time some other hotel

The room: Had a nice bed, flatscreen tv, i liked the bathroom also with a shower and a bathtub, quite spacious and cleaning service was good.. the bad things i experienced, one night we had power shortages for many hours and ONLY for this hotel. Air conditioning was not working meanwhile but fridge was working, after the power shortages the tv also didn't have signal for about 12hrs after that.

Pool area is well maintained and nice size for swimming, had a small bar by the pool and next to it is a hotel restaurant. They have some sunchairs here also.

Neighbourhood was nice and quiet next to nopparat thara beach, this hotel also offered motorbike for rent for 200baht a day.

Staff was ok mostly but when leaving hotel they insisted i pay some water bottle i ordered and paid before at the pool, awful hastle for a 30baht water. Cleaning ladies deserve some good credit for service.

Highly Recommended!

Excellent concierge service from the Front Desk that was able to arrange local tours with ease. Location is good with easy access to amenities like motorbike rental, local transport. Decent quality of breakfast and room at affordable prices.

Good hotel, but not the best

No internet in rooms unless willing to pay extra per hour. Internet access in the lobby but be prepared to be eaten by Mosquitos. Large breakfast buffet with good food. Friendly and helpful staff. View of the road not the greatest. Pool loses the sun in the late afternoon. Decent rooms but no frills. Could of been cleaner. Large hotel with plenty of rooms. A little run down all over. Staff chat amongst one another but get things done. Good for a short stay when planning more time out of the hotel than in.

it was so so.. this should be a 2 stars hotel. .. the hotel is so old and.outdated... nothing special on it... seriously I regret not paying more money and getting a better hotel ... they didn't have WiFi on the room and breakfast was so so too.. I will definitely never stay in this hotel again.. try to find better options.. there are better hotels around the area..

Great hotel, good location

Hotel is lovely and clean with a good size swimming pool. We were upgraded when we arrived and received one of the 5 rooms with balconies that led out onto the pool which was a lovely surprise.
Only downside was that you could only access wifi in the lobby area and not your room, although this is only a minor thing.

Variety of breakfast is same everyday. However overall the hotel is clean and worth to stay. Housekeeping staff is polite than frontdesk staff.
